Tabletop gaming fans, this one's for you. Indie studio Defiant Developmentrevealed that its "tabletop roguelike deck builder" Hand of Fate is coming to the PlayStation 4 and PS Vita.
Funded by a successful Kickstarter project, Hand of Fate is an action-RPG that blends tabletop gaming elements with a deck-building mechanic, allowing players to customize each play session with randomly drawn cards during gameplay. All in-game elements -- from dungeon floor layouts to equipped weapons -- are determined by cards drawn during gameplay, and players must use varied skill and equipment combinations during combat to survive.
A release date for Hand of Fate has not been announced. A release for Windows, Mac, and Linux is also in the works.

A listing for "The Last Of Us: Complete Edition" for the PS4 has appeared on Spanish retailer XtraLife with a launch date of June 19. The page was spottedby Twitter user "JuanraUP" and includes a The Last of Us-branded satchel, presumably for carrying no more than three of any one item. The bundle is available for reservation at €64.95, just under $90 USD.
The listing follows comments from Sony Eurasia Software Marketing Manager Sercan Sulun about plans for The Last of Us to reach the PS4 this summer, with its Left Behind DLC bundled in the purchase. While XtraLife's listed release date of June 19 isn't an official confirmation, it would line up with the summer window mentioned by Sulun.
Following Sulun's comments, Sony stated that "at no time have we announced that The Last of Us is coming to PS4." It would be odd for XtraLife to mock up a bundle and take reservations for a non-existent product, even one as criticallyacclaimed as last year's hit from Naughty Dog. Still, without an official confirmation from Sony, it might be best to proceed with guarded expectations for now.

Playrise Digital, a studio housing talent from the Wipeout series, is bringingTable Top Racing to Vita this spring. The combat racer has accumulated 3.7 million downloads between the App Store and the Google Play store, and its detour to Vita will include control tweaks to take advantage of the handheld's buttons and rear touch pad.
Other than four championships mentioned in the mobile store listings, the Vita port will contain the same content as the App Store and Google Play versions, which includes 17 upgradable cars, eight tracks, nine powerups and six game modes; Hot-Lap, Speed-Trial, Combat, Pure Race, Pursuit and Eliminator. There's also four-player online multiplayer, in case you're eager to build up some fresh rivalries in a kart racer.
Table Top Racing's pricing details are to-be-announced, so it's currently unclear whether the Vita port will drop the mobile version's implementation of microtransactions for an in-game currency.

Driving through the streets of Jet Car Stunts must be pretty stressful - there are chasm-like gaps leading to the blue abyss below, and there aren't even guide rails lining the edges of its loops! Then there's the clean, simplistic geometry and levitating rings, which are kind of pretty until you've crashed into them a dozen times. PS4, PS3, Vita, Xbox 360 and Steam's PC users can witness Jet Car Stunts' hazards firsthand when it lands on the platforms in Q2 2014.
The tricky racer will have 36 tracks across three different modes, including a Puzzle Mode. While the press release doesn't specify what the other two play styles will be, the mobilecounterpart includes Performing, Time Trial and Tutorial modes, so Jet Car Stunts' port may pull from that pool.

Sony’s first big PS4 exclusive of the year – Infamous: Second Son – debuts at the top of its European online store.
Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes sits in second place. The prologue to the upcoming Phantom Pain was priced cheaper on PlayStation UK’s online outlet than in physical retail.
The PS4 edition was being sold for £24.99 – £5 lower than it was being sold for in most High Street stores, which no doubt contributed to the title’s sales.
Minecraft: PlayStation 3 Edition remains in the charts at No.3. Since the start of 2014 Mojang’s construction title has been in the Top Ten every week except one – the week ending February 28th.
The HD update of Square Enix’s Final Fantasy X and X-2 debuts at No.4. This is below the publisher’s other 2014 Final Fantasy title – Lightning Returns – which was released last month and went straight to No.3.
Below are the European PSN charts for the week ending March 21st:
1. Infamous: Second Son, Sony
2. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, Konami
3. Minecraft: PlayStation 3 Edition, Mojang
4. Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster, Square Enix
5. Dark Souls II, Namco Bandai
6. South Park: The Stick of Truth, Ubisoft
7. Call of Duty: Ghosts, Activision
8. F1 2013, Codemasters
9. Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Activision
10. FIFA 14, EA

Shuhei Yoshida believes indies will create the stand out titles
Sony's head of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios has revealed that the company is looking to indies to bring out the best in its new virtual reality headset, Morpheus.
"It's very hard for big companies to approve something that no one knows if there's a market for it," Shuhei Yoshida told Polygon.
"But the indie guys are like, 'I like it, I'll do it.' And there are many indie games being created in the marketplace because of that."
The Morpheus was unveiled earlier this month and developers and press went hands on with the device at the Game Developers Conference. Our own Dan Pearson was "thoroughly impressed."
"The indie teams typically want to create something not directly competitive with big companies because they know they don't have the resource to do it, so they try to come up with a new angle or approach, a new experience so that their game can stand out," continued Yoshida.
"And that approach is perfect for making VR, because that's what we need. We don't want people to think, 'How can I port this game to VR?' We want people to think, 'What unique thing can we do with this tech?' So I'm very, very excited to give lots of units to indie PS4 developers."
He also explained that the timing of the reveal reflected Sony's ability to mass produce dev kits, and that PlayStation 4 developers would be first in line to receive the tech.
The virtual reality market has certainly been an exciting place of late, with the news this week that the leading headset, the Oculus Rift, has been acquired by Facebook for $2 billion.

Sony has released Vita system update 3.12.
According to the platform holder, the latest Vita system update "improves system stability during use of some features".
PlayStation Universe notes that the update is mandatory, so users will need to download it if they want to access features like PlayStation Store.
Earlier this week, Sony released Vita system update 3.10, which added a range of new features to the handheld.
It increased the maximum number of apps displayable on the home screen from 100 to 500 and introduced voice messaging, enhanced parental controls, a calendar and more user control over memory card usage.
The new calendar application allows users to sync with their Google Calendar, as well as share events and game session schedules with friends.
Having launched in Japan in October 2013, Sony released the Vita Slim model in the UK on February 7 priced at around £180. The new model will launch in North America "this spring" with a $199 Borderlands 2 bundle.
Combined PSP and Vita sales during Sony's second financial quarter ended September 30, 2013 came in at 800,000 units. That figure rose to two million handheld sales in the holiday quarter ended December 31.

A fresh wave of PlayStation Now beta invites has reportedly been distributed by Sony.
Multiple sources told IGN that the beta invites appeared up in their email inboxes on Thursday night.
Revealed at CES in January, PS Now will initially stream PS3 games (other platforms to follow) to PlayStation systems, Sony Bravia TVs and, in future, other Sony and non-Sony devices.
A PS Now beta is currently ongoing in the States, where Sony will launch the service this summer. It has been reported that PS Now won't arrive in Europe until the first quarter of 2015.
PS Now will enable customers to rent individual games or pay for full library access via a yet to be confirmed subscription fee. In mid-March, game rental options were spotted on the US PS Store, seemingly confirming that the service will let users stream rented titles for one, seven or 30 days, although the functionality isn't yet enabled.
For a "low latency, high-quality gaming experience", Sony recommendedthat PS Now users have at least a 5Mbps connection.

Slightly Mad Studios' crowdfunded racing game, codenamed Project Cars, will launch as one of the first PlayStation 4 games to support Sony's Project Morpheus virtual reality hardware, the developer announced this week.
"Virtual reality is a perfect fit for racing games since the game world literally comes rushing towards you from the distance and the increased sense of depth and speed that stereoscopic vision affords you makes this incredibly real and tangible," the developer said.
"Project Morpheus also allows you to see detail you might have otherwise missed... Via our interior cameras not only can you look around the cockpit and see everything from a first-person perspective, but using head-tracking via the PlayStation Camera you can also now move around the cockpit too -- peer closer at some intricate detail or turn around and look out of the back window."
Slightly Mad Studios' previous work includes Need for Speed: Shift and its sequel, Shift 2: Unleashed. The studio announced last year that it was ditchingproposed Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game in favor of Xbox One and PlayStation 4 development. Project Cars will hit consoles and PC platforms in November.

Hyperdimension Neptunia Re:Birth 1 is coming to North America and Europe thanks to Idea Factory, as the company's International branch ups its publishing drive in the West.
The Japanese studio launched its California-based International branch last year with an eye to release its own games in North America and Europe, and first on the list is Vita RPG Monster Monspiece. We now know the second isRe:Birth 1, the Vita remake of PS3 game Hyperdimension Neptunia, and Idea Factory International says it's due to hit North America and Europe in the "late summer."
Hyperdimension Netpunia mk2 is the next game in the "Console Wars"-parodying JRPG series, and its PS3-to-Vita remake just hit Japan last week. There's no news yet, but it now seems likely Idea Factory International will also bring it to the West at some point.
