Fez has been released on PS4, PS3 and Vita in North America, ahead of its launch in Europe later today.
The puzzle platformer is cross-buy for all three platforms and features a cross-save slot which shares progress across the systems.
Fez's regular price is €9.99/$12.99, but PlayStation Plus members who purchase it before April 2 will receive a 20 per cent discount in Europe and a 25 per cent discount in North America.
Blit Software handled conversion duties for the PlayStation editions of the Polytron created title, which runs at 1080p and 60 frames per second on PS4, at 720p and 60 frames per second on PS3, and "smoothly at native resolution on Vita".
Polytron revealed that it was working with Sony on the game in August 2013, shortly after studio founder Phil Fish cancelled development of Fez 2.

The PS4 version of Slightly Mad Studios' upcoming racing simulator Project CARS will include support for Project Morpheus.
The studio noted Wednesday on its official site that virtual reality is "a perfect fit for racing games." A fixed perspective within the car lets VR users appreciate the world rushing by them, adding a greater sense of presence to Project CARS' environments, it said. It also brings each automobile's individual details to the fore.
"Project Morpheus also allows you to see detail you might have otherwise missed," Slightly Mad Studios wrote. "Via our interior cameras not only can you look around the cockpit and see everything from a first-person perspective, but using head-tracking via the PlayStation Camera you can also now move around the cockpit too - peer closer at some intricate detail or turn around and look out of the back window."
Project Cars is a crowd-funded racing sim originally announced in 2011 for PC, Xbox 360, PS3 and later for Wii U, due for a 2013 release. The game missed its 2013 launch window as the 360 and PS3 versions were canned in favour of PS4 and Xbox One versions, along with the addition of SteamOS and Oculus Rift support.
Slightly Mad Studios has not announced any changes to those plans since Oculus VR was bought by Facebook.
The company promises an accurate racing sim, with real cars and track locations, and the implementation of night lighting, tire deformation, dynamic weather, multiplayer and pit-to-car radio features.

Listings for an unannounced Call of Duty: Ghosts 'Gold Edition' have been spotted on the Xbox One, PS4 and PS3digital marketplaces, as well as Steam.
Priced at £39.99 on PC and £54.99/$59.99 on consoles, the Gold edition includes a digital copy of the game, its first DLC pack, Onslaught, plus a wolf character skin. Activision has yet to officially announce the Gold edition, but we've requested clarification on the product listings from the publisher's UK arm.
Costing £11.59/$14.99, Onslaught features four competitive multiplayer maps, plus a new weapon in the form of the Maverick dual-purpose assault/sniper rifle. It also contains the first chapter in Extinction mode's four-part episodic narrative, which is titled Nightfall.
Activision recently made the Onslaught DLC pack free to play on Xbox Live for one weekend only, with trials on other platforms due to take place at a later date.
The standard digital edition of Call of Duty: Ghosts is one of a number of titles set to be discounted later this week as part of an Xbox Live sale, with 33 per cent being knocked off the title's regular price.

EA is hoping to do for Star Wars games what Rocksteady's Arkham series did for Batman. That's according to EA boss Andrew Wilson, who told CNN that the company was looking at Warner Bros.' successful Arkham franchise as a good model for how Star Wars games might be focused.'What do you mean I sound familiar?'
"What Warner Bros. did with Batman was take the core roots of that IP and manifest that inside the walls of Gotham City and delivered an interactive experience that had real ties to what you would see in the films and what you had read in the comics," Wilson said. The crucial factor, however, was that Arkham did this "while having its own life", Wilson continued, "because it could provide such deep and more immersive storylines." He added: "When we look at the Star Wars properties that's how we're looking at it."Focusing on a key iconic location or element from the Star Wars franchise without simply relying solely on the movies or books seems a good idea - and it's clear that EA isn't interested in a regular movie tie-in."We're not trying to build a game that replicates the storyline of any particular film," Wilson said.EA's long-term deal with Disney and LucasFilm to develop Star Wars games was announced in May 2013. The first game to emerge from the partnership will be Battlefield developer DICE's Star Wars: Battlefront reboot, due out in the summer of 2015. The next Star Wars film, Episode 7, will release 18th December 2015.Meanwhile, speaking on EA's recent troubled launches of SimCity, Battlefield 4 and issues with NBA Live 14, Wilson concluded that it was EA simply pushing too "hard"."For whatever reason, whether it was because they were pushing the boundaries of innovation and they pushed a little hard and things didn't go so well," Wilson concluded. "We won't always get everything right, but my hope is that we're seen as a company that tries to do amazing things. When we get a little bit wrong, we do our best to fix it."

March 26th, 2014, 00:44 Posted By: wraggster
While there is some money to be made from virtual reality, Sony is wasting its time on the technology.
That’s according to US analyst Michael Pachter, who has described the company’s recent reveal of Project Morpheusas a “bad idea”.
“I think it’s a bad idea for multiple participants to chase it, and I think it’s a really bad idea for Sony,” he toldDualShockers. “I have no problem with the Oculus Rift and that they’re trying it, because they’re a startup and that’s a very small market and if they dominate it that’s great
“But if it’s a small market and there are multiple players, it’s gonna be hard for anybody to make money. And I don’t think it’s gonna be a big market. It sounds interesting, but I don’t think there will be enough content to justify making the capital investment to create the headset.
“I think it’s chicken and egg. If there’s no content you’re not gonna buy a virtual reality headset, and if you don’t buy a virtual reality headset, there won’t be any content, because no one will make a dedicated game for a very small audience.
“The Oculus Rift guys are making some games themselves, and they hired some pretty impressive people. Sony certainly is capable of doing the same, and if you wanna think about Sony’s success here, remember all the big 3D games and how those did. Nobody cares. So I think it’s just a super super small market.”
Pachter is not one to shy from laying criticism upon those he feels are hedging incorrect bets. In the last six months alone he has said that “gamers do no want Kinect”, that “he doesn’t know why Iwata is still employed” and that “PlayStation Now is a joke”.

2013’s GT Academy alumni, pictured before their Le Mans class victory. From left: Florian Strauss, Stanislav Aksenov, Nick McMillen and Miguel Fa*sca.
Four months ago, Miguel Fa*sca was not a race driver. But in January, he and three other Gran Turismo players – Florian Strauss, Nick McMillen and Stansislav Aksenov – finished first in the Dubai 24 Hours SP2 class. These GT Academy graduates were recruited based on their performance in the Gran Turismo 6 demo last year and all qualified for their race licences after just two months of intensive training. A second GT Academy team came in third. The question of whether virtual skill could translate to real-world success was first posed by GT Academy back in 2008. In the years since, the alliance between Sony and Nissan to find new racing talent has become a reliable source of drivers for Nissan’s Nismo race team. When Bob Neville of RJN Motorsports, Mark Bowles of SCEE and Darren Cox, the head of Nissan’s motorsports division, first met in 2008, Neville gambled on a mad proposition: that he could take a gaggle of Gran Turismo fans, put them in Nissan cars, and find a genuine racer. But Neville isn’t exactly short on confidence. “If you gave me 20 bricklayers,” he says, “and if they were of the right age, fitness and temperament, with the determination to become race drivers, we would find one with talent and we would train them into a professional driver.”

Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls expands the infernal dungeon crawler for the first time in two years with new story content today, but even with substantial changes in place Blizzard is already discussing how future patches alter the way Diablo plays. Diablo 3 version 2.1 will bring requested systems including Seasons, a take on Diablo 2's Ladders, and tiered Rifts.
"We're still working on them but the general gist is that you'll level up a new character, we'll have specific ladders for Seasons, and also some goodies that will drop along the way," said Josh Mosqueira, Diablo 3 game director, as reprinted by Diablo Fans. For those unfamiliar with ladders in Diablo, they describe how specific characters in Diablo 2 were ranked in a given realm. Only ladder characters are ranked. Seasons will, in effect, introduce a similar competitive layer to the game. Tiered Rifts, meanwhile, pull players into a series of increasingly difficult Rifts where they clamber for better and better loot.
"There is another major feature in the patch 2.1, which is going to be what we're internally calling tiered Rifts. The idea is a challenge scenario, where players do increasingly hard Rifts to see who can get the farthest," explained Mosquiera. "You do your bounties, you do a Nephalem Rift. If you clear it, there's a chance to get a Greater Rift Token. If you successfully do that, you'll get a Greater Rift Key (rank 2), then Rank 3, etc. Much like seasons, we're going to have a leaderboard as well, so you can see who got to the highest tier Rift, and what time were they able to obtain on that."
Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls is available today. The patch introducing Seasons and tiered Rifts is due out in the summer.

Japanese Hatsune Miku fans (of which there are a few) are no doubt picking upProject Diva F 2nd later this week, but they're not the only ones who'll see the virtual popstar make a return to gaming systems this year. Sega announced today it's bringing the rhythm game sequel West this fall, and this time it's releasing packaged versions on both platforms.
The synthesized idol's sequel follows the formula of the first game, with players ensuring Hatsune Miku doesn't short circuit any of her notes by tapping buttons in time to match those zipping across the screen. Project Diva F 2ndfeatures 40 songs in total (or at least we presume the base game does) including some only previously found in Japanese releases.
We can expect more specific details, perhaps including release dates, as we get closer to this year's E3 conference at the beginning of June.

Those hoping to one day dress an inexplicably adorable lump of burlap as Willem Dafoe will see their bizarrely specific fantasies come to life later this week, when LittleBigPlanet adds costumes based on Quantic Dream's Beyond: Two Souls.
Included in the pack are costumes based on protagonist Jodie Holmes, Nathan Dawkins, Cole Freeman and Ryan Clayton. Those first two are the most notable inclusions, as they're characters portrayed by and modeled after Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe, respectively. While our review of Beyond: Two Souls wasmiddling, the PlayStation.blog claims that "[t]hese costumes will allow any Sackboy or Sackgirl to portray these wonderful characters in their very own adventures."
No price point is mentioned for this DLC, but these new costumes will join theLittleBigPlanet DLC roster once the PlayStation Network Store undergoes its weekly update. That should occur at some point on Tuesday, March 25, though the past few weeks have seen Sony miss its usual mark by as much as 24 hours.

Roll7 has announced new release platforms for its acclaimed skateboarding autorunner OlliOlli.
The London-based indie studio has revealed the former PS Vita exclusive will now also be available for PS4, PS3, PC Mac and Linux.
No release date was set aside from a "Summer 2014" window, and it is unclear whether the game takes advantage of PlayStation's cross-play promotion, where purchasing the game on one device unlocks the download on others for free.
Spain based porting studio BlitWorks will work on the PS4 and PS3 versions, Roll7 said, while the boutique publisher Devolver Digital is working on the PC, Mac and Linux editions.
"We already have a first playable up and running on the PS4, it's like our little OlliOlli grew up and got some balls," said Roll7 director Simon Bennett.
"It really feels amazing on the Dualshock too," he added.
