Sony pre-sold as many units of the PlayStation 5 in the US in the first 12 hours they were available as it did in the first 12 weeks for the PlayStation 4, according to Jim Ryan. Speaking to Reuters, Ryan described the demand via pre-order as "very, very considerable" in the lead-up to the November 12 launch of the console. "It may well be that not everybody who wants to buy a PS5 on launch day will be able to find one," he added.
