Ultra Street Fighter 4 includes Edition Select, which lets you pick from the various versions of the characters from all the games released in the Street Fighter 4 series. At character select, you can pick the version of the fighter from SF4, SSF4, SSF4AE, SSF4 AE Ver. 2012 and Ultra Street Fighter 4.This means, of course, that vanilla Sagat, who was nerfed by later versions of the game, can go up against the rebalanced characters from Ultra."In all the years that I've been playing through the SF4 series, I can't count how many times discussions on 'who the strongest character has been thus far' have come up among players both old and new," Capcom's Peter Rosas, himself a former tournament player, wrote on Capcom Unity."Seeing of how there was no actual way to measure whether vanilla SF4 Sagat was stronger than AE Yun, players would engage in long theoretical discussions with no way to figure out who was right. Well, time to change that in Ultra SF!"There are a couple of ways to get Ultra, due out in June on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and in August on PC.If you have Super Street Fighter 4 or Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition you can download Ultra Street Fighter 4 as a £10.99 / €14.99 / $14.99 digital upgrade for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in early June. The PC digital upgrade and the PC full digital bundle will both be available in August 2014.Also in August the PS3 and Xbox 360 retail versions and full download version of the game will be released for £29.99 / €39.99 / $39.99. If you buy the PS3 or Xbox 360 retail version, or PS3, Xbox 360 or PC full digital bundle you get all previously-released costumes for the series.

Eurogamer's 2012 Game of the Year, Fez, is finally making its way to PlayStation platforms with a 26th March release on PS4, PS3 and Vita in Europe.
North Americans will receive the game a day earlier on 25th March.Fez on PSN will be a Cross-Buy affair, so buying it on any Sony platform unlocks it on the other two. Even save files are shared between all three platforms.Polytron has stated that the PS4 port is the definitive version of Phil Fish's masterful adventure. "Playing it on PS4 is what we consider to be the best-looking and smoothest Fez experience you can get on a TV set, running at beautiful 1080p (and yes, 60fps too)," said Polytron producer Marie-Christine Bourdua on the EU PlayStation Blog. "You wouldn't think that upping the resolution would make a big difference in a game like ours, where the pixels are the size of Gomez's fist... but it really does look even crisper and blockier - in a good way."Comparatively, Bourdua said that developer Blit's PS3 conversion runs at 720p with 60 fps.Bourdua noted that these versions won't contain much in the way of new content, but she teased a couple of tiny additions. "The DualShock 4′s lightbar has been put to the task of bringing a little bit of Fez's world inside your own home, and you may not need to look everywhere for that dusty pair of red/cyan glasses to get access to a very late-game easter egg." http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/20...-vita-in-march

Sony Computer Entertainment and Guerrilla Games are planning a party, and everyone's invited, Helghast and Vekta alike. To celebrate the release ofKillzone: Shadow Fall's first free map update, the two companies haveannounced that Shadow Fall multiplayer battles will be free to any and all PS4 owners for a week starting March 3. Those wanting to get in on the fray need neither a PlayStation Plus subscription nor a copy of Shadow Fall, as a free client will be available for download.
Those who play the free trial will be able to compete on global leaderboards in Capture and Team Deathmatch, and all clans - including those made up of trial players - are eligible to win the Clan Community Challenge. The details and prizes of said Challenge haven't been revealed yet, but you know how these Helghast are - they don't uncloak until they're good and ready.

March 2nd, 2014, 00:20 Posted By: wraggster
Starbreeze CEO Bo Andersson-Klint announced plans to expand DLC offerings for the developer's multiplayer co-op FPS Payday 2, citing a financial turnaround in a recent earnings report.
"To put the past six months in perspective, I would like to highlight that Starbreeze historically, from 1998 to June 2013, accumulated a total loss of SEK 94 million ($14.43 million)," Andersson-Klint explained. "Thanks to our new business model, reorganization and a focus on our own brands, we have - in only two quarters - generated a profit before tax of SEK 104 million ($15.97 million). I would like to think that is what they call a turnaround."
Andersson-Klint announced that Starbreeze signed a new agreement with publisher 505 Games, allowing the developer to produce additional Payday 2content over the next two years. The report states: "The new improved contract, worth 6 million U.S. dollars, gives us the security to, for the next 20 months, focus on developing and refining Payday 2 so that it becomes the best co-operative gaming experience available on the market, with many more add-on packages and other exciting events planned."
Andersson-Klint also delivered good news regarding Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, noting that the critically acclaimed adventure game "has finally begun to generate royalty income for the company." Brothers ranked in at #3 in Joystiq's list of last year's best games.
The PC version of Payday 2 was updated today with a new batch of free content, adding the Death Wish difficulty, new enemy types, and four new masks.

Though its name may conjure up some scenario where you help guide Nikola Tesla through the social pitfalls of high school, Teslagrad is a non-linear 2D puzzle platformer where players must explore the abandoned Tesla Tower in a steampunk-inspired alternate reality vision of old Europe. Teslagrad's plot revolves around a young boy and totalitarian king who rules over his nation with no mercy, not an inventor portrayed by David Bowie on film. We just didn't want you to be disappointed when Teslagrad launches on PS Vita this summer.
The only place to grab Teslagrad currently is on Steam. The game, available for PC, Mac and Linux, was cleared through Steam Greenlight last summer and made its debut on Valve's digital distribution platform in December. Developer Rain Games is already working on a PS3 port.

NIS America has announced some cross-game synergy is coming to PS Vita dungeon crawl Demon Gaze. After Kadokawa Games' quirky RPG launches for PS Vita on April 22, early adopters will be able to download some popular characters from NIS America's Disgaea series: Etna, Fionne, Sicily, Asagi and Prinny. All five will be free for the first month of Demon Gaze's availability.
Demon Gaze stars Oz, a vagabond with the ultimate fashion accessory: a magical eye that can be used to capture demons. When Oz isn't exploring dungeons and sealing away these dark entities, he's hanging at the local inn, befriending NPC characters and probably putting in a bunch of eye drops.

The manga-adapted ostentation of Jojo Bizarre's Adventure: All Star Battle is coming to PS3s in Europe and the Australasian region on April 25, but North America has to wait on a "spring" release window for now.
The flamboyant fighter, developed by Asura's Wrath studio CyberConnect2 (of course it is), is a PSN release in Europe and Australia, while North America is getting an additional limited run of physical copies. The most important news, however, is that of the pre-order bonus DLC for Europe and Australasia, if only for the descriptions Namco Bandai Europe provided in this week's press release.
We quote:· Yoshikage Kira (Chapter 4 - Diamond is Unbreakable): Originally a salesman who is aspiring for a quiet life, Kira is full of contradictions and madness. Why a man seeking discretion would be wearing a purple suit? Why a man seeking discretion would be a serial-killer for years? Lot of questions remains unanswered around this scary man and his terrifying stand: Killer Queen...
· Shigekiyo Yangu (Chapter 4 - Diamond is Unbreakable): Nicknamed "Shigechi", like a lot of characters in Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, he appears to be full of paradoxes. People thought that being naïve can't be associated with being a smart fighter? Ask Shigechi about it! His encounter with the frightening Kira remains one of the most important twists in the 4th Chapter... "Why a man seeking discretion would be wearing a purple suit?" Truly, we don't know.

This is what a fourth-person game looks like: In Pavilion, it's an overhead view of a man navigating the twisting stone passages of massive temples, but the player is not in control of the man himself. Players must influence the character's movements by manipulating the environment, at times forcing him to explore certain areas, or nudging him in the right direction to "fulfill the purpose of the world," Henrick Flink, co-founder of Visiontrick Media, writes on the PlayStation Blog.
"This method of control has resulted in some interesting reactions," he says. "Some people feel it's just a buzzword, while others are rather intrigued by it. In the end, we're happy to see people giving it a thought and talking about it."
Pavilion is minimalist in the sense that it doesn't provide a tutorial or any background information; the story is told directly through the game itself. To this end, Visiontrick is keeping a tight lid on details about Pavilion. The game is due out this year for PS4 and Vita.
Another PS4 and Vita game scheduled for 2014 is forma.8, a sci-fi action-adventure from Futuridium developer MixedBag (it's also coming to Wii U, iOS, PC, Mac and Linux, with a Steam Greenlight page live now). Players control an exploration drone that's stranded on an alien planet and charged with one mission, to recover an energy source buried deep within this world before it causes ultimate destruction. There's no verbal communication in forma.8, and it begins with no instructions or context.
We're sensing a pattern here. Check out the trailer for forma.8 below, after the galleries.

The final DLC for The Last of Us' Season Pass will contain a new difficulty mode for the game's single-player mode, as well as new maps, weapons and skills for the game's multiplayer component. Naughty Dog only described the upcoming difficulty mode as "new," not necessarily harder. So who knows, maybe it's Lollipop Difficulty, where the infected have been replaced by fluffy teddy bears and sadness is replaced with rainbows. Naughty Dog wrote that they will provide more information "as in-game elements near completion."
Naughty Dog also released a new behind-the-scenes video detailing their journey creating Left Behind, the single-player DLC follow-up for a game with roughly a bajillion awards. We've included it after the break since, like the game's Clicker enemies, spoilers can rip your throat out make you have a very bad day if you get too careless.

Man, how long has it been since you've thought about Cel Damage? Released as a launch title for the original Xbox in 2001, Cel Damage didn't quite rank in the same league as Halo or Project Gotham, and likely resides in the hazy regions of your brain devoted to remembering games like Mad Dash Racingand Fuzion Frenzy.
Toronto-based developer Finish Line Games bets that a number of players have fond memories of trading blows in the classic car-combat game in betweenHalo matches, announcing that Cel Damage HD is due for release on the PlayStation 4, PS3, and PS Vita.
Cel Damage HD brings its cartoonish brand of cel-shaded, Twisted Metal-like vehicular mayhem to Sony's current crop of consoles with 13 levels and six playable characters. Online multiplayer hasn't been confirmed, but is a likely addition. Cel Damage HD will be available as a Cross-Buy release when it hits the PlayStation Network this spring.

North American PlayStation Plus subscribers will find Tomb Raider and several other titles added to their Instant Game Collections next month.
Sony outlined the free titles which will join its subscriber offerings in March in a PlayStation Blog post on Thursday.
Note that the Tomb Raider in question is the original version for PS3 and not Tomb Raider Definitive Edition, which brought upgraded graphics to PS4 and Xbox One in January.
Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition will bolster PS4's growing collection with an update of Housemarque's 2010 PSN twin-stick shooter. Resogun, another Housemarque shooter, was one of the first free games offered with the system.
Two PS3/PS Vita cross-buy games will also join the collection: narrative puzzle platformer Thomas Was Alone and side-scrolling survival horror game Lone Survivor: The Director's Cut. Both are cross-save compatible, meaning players with both systems can upload their saved games to the cloud and keep playing on the other version.
Finally, Vita's Instant Game Collection will grow with two system exclusives: tactical shooter Unit 13 and Monster Hunter Freedom Unite.
Sony said in early February that half of all PS4 owners are subscribed to PS Plus.

Grand Theft Auto Online will give players The Business Update on March 4.
Rockstar revealed the next free content update for Grand Theft Auto 5and its multiplayer counterpart on Thursday.
The Business Update focuses on status symbols for Los Santos' successful entrepreneurs: three new sports cars and a Vestra personal aircraft, a Heavy Pistol and Special Carbine, and new clothes, hairstyles, tattoos, and masks.
The cars and weapons will be automatically added to the garage's and arsenals of GTA 5's single-player mode, while online characters will have to spend their in-game cash to purchase them individually.
Rockstar promised more details are soon to come for The Business Update's upcoming Event Weekend, as well as future updates for online heists and new side missions for story mode.
After this weekend the items added in the Valentine's Day Massacre Special will be off the market, meaning players who want the mobster-themed weapons, vehicles, and clothes will be otherwise out of luck after midnight PST on Sunday.
Rockstar is the target of a lawsuit from Karen Gravano of VH1's Mob Wives, who claims her likeness and story was used without her permission for a random-encounter character in GTA 5's story mode.

The PS4 version of free-to-play FPS Blacklight Retribution is getting a new game mode, two new multiplayer maps and private servers today, February 27.
As detailed by developer Zombie Studios, the update going live today is the first content expansion for the PS4 game, and will introduce a new 'Onslaught mode', which pits four players against increasingly difficult waves of infected enemies.
Co-operation and strategy is key. "If you bank too heavily on fortifying one area, you might find yourself overrun. But if you remain too light and mobile, you may not have the heavy firepower you need to punch through what comes next," says the developer.
Additionally, two new maps, 'Decay' and 'Metro', will be added. According to Zombie, "Metro is set in an abandoned subway station long since taken over by squatters. Players will face fierce firefights in the narrow corridors."
It goes on to describe, "Decay is a slum fortress set deep in the worst and most rundown area of the city. Threats will come from above and below in this rat warren. Teams will need to stay sharp as they move together and watch the roof tops and ruined buildings."
New private match options will also allow you to set up multiplayer matches with friends without public players being able to join.
Smaller additions in the patch include matchmaking tweaks which "make it easy for you to find a fun game of Blacklight to play", host migration improvements, improved frame rates, faster load speeds "and a smoother experience overall".
