Bandai Namco's free aerial fighter Ace Combat Infinity is set to lift off on May 27 for PS3. The next entry in the long-running Ace Combat series was first announced last year in July, and was listed as the first free-to-play game in the series one month later. The game includes a single-player campaign as well as cooperative and competitive multiplayer, and Bandai Namco plans to add a player-vs-player mode following the game's launch.
The PS3 exclusive takes place on an alternate-reality Earth in which global authorities construct massive guns to save the planet from incoming debris caused by the destruction of a moon orbiting Jupiter. Ace Combat Infinity was originally due to land in 2013, but its flight suffered delays in December. The game entered open beta for one week in February.

I regularly get emails from people who want us to port VHBL to this or that game, or people who contact me with a game crash but don’t know where to take it from here. PSP (usermode) exploits used to be seen as voodoo magic, and doable only by an elite of hackers, until I started writing tutorials on how to do it, back in 2009. Finding an exploit in a PSP game requires brains, lots of free time, and minimal programming knowledge, but is nowhere as complex as most people think. The techniques to find them used to be a secret, not that hackers in those days thought it was a secret to be kept, but because nobody ever took the time to write the process down in a user-friendly way.
Those who have been following this blog for a while know that I try very hard to bridge the gap between the “hackers” and people who have technical interest in what they do, but don’t know where to start. It’s for this reason that my involvement with m0skit0′s Half Byte Loader (now VHBL) has always been about simplifying it to the max, and make it portable to as many games as possible, as easily as possible.
Today, finding an exploit and porting VHBL to it is not a one click process, but it is reasonably simple. Porting VHBL can be done within a few hours, which is insanely fast if you think about the months it took to create the tool initially.

The Minecraft craze seems like it may never end, and it's further propelled by this new release by woolio and Joel16. By adding to what has been dubbed the LC Mod, these two developers have expanded upon the original work on Minecraft PSP to provide few unique improvements of their own. In this fresh build numbered at 1.6, there are more block textures and block types that players can build with. There's even a couple flowers for those that care to focus on minor aesthetic details when they craft. As a rather interesting addition, you'll even be able to view statistics on just how big your created map really is. See more info about the project below!
Changelog: Minecraft PSP Mod (v1.6)
- Fixed all block textures
- Added a lot of new blocks (sponges, (destroy water), magic blocks, different types of rocks)
- Added 2 kinds of flowers
- Changed cactus model (now they are similar to MCPC)
- Pumpkins upgraded (now they are similar to MCPC)
- Added statistics. Here you can find how much blocks you've destroyed and placed (more stats will be in the future)

Here it is - Thisguyaresick2’s first hack is finally released! This is a hack of a game that is quite underrated among FF fans, Final Fantasy IX, for the PS1. It’s quite depressing that this game doesn’t get much love despite its overall beauty and critical success.
The Save the Queen sword is the same weapon that made General Beatrix what she is, a total badass! But back then, fans of this game were disappointed by the fact the sword was unusable after its acquisition through synthesis. And that’s quite funny, because even though Steiner couldn’t equip it, he could equip other swords of that same kind. The weapon was meant to be a mere item used to unlock a secret ending if kept in the inventory. And another disappointment is that the secret ending isn’t all that spetacular.
But now this injustice is long gone, and you can have the opportunity to use the Save the Queen as a normal weapon! Some power-ups were added to offer a better experience. Have fun!

Final Fantasy VII — the title which defined Cloud Gaming in 1997, telling the story of a young man with spiky hair, serious identity problems, and an enourmous… sword.
As the official German edition of Final Fantasy VII is such a rushed mess of typos, contextual errors, and unintelligible dialog, Cebix and friends have produced a retranslation of the game from the original Japanese, based on the text of Final Fantasy VII International.
Not afraid to deviate from the “established canon” of Western Final Fantasy releases, Cebix and friends have tried to create a localization which stays true to the original work but is comprehensible to a German audience (no “neechan”fansub bullshit), and fun to play.
Nearly the entire text of the game has been revised:
- All dialogs have been retranslated from Japanese.
- Where reasonable, names of items, monsters, spells, etc. have been adapted to the German terms used in later Final Fantasy games, in particular VIII and IX. So the Trank is now again a Potion, and spells use the beloved -ra/-ga suffixes.
- Some names unique to the game have been changed to bring them closer to their original form or their originally intended meaning, like Materia instead of Substanz and Midgarsorm instead of (the mistranscribed) Midgar Zolom.
In addition to overhauling the text we have restored the password and temple clock puzzles in the process, made some accidentally inaccessible dialog available again, and fixed a few known issues in the game’s programming.
The retranslation is distributed as a patch in bsdiff format for the original German PAL PlayStation release of Final Fantasy VII, and is available for download from the project’s web page.
Have fun!

Match-three puzzlers are a comfort food of sorts - the rules change a bit with each game, sure, but the core conceptis the same: match up colors and shapes for glory. You can use that mindset to approach Montezuma: Arena, adownloadable title announced for the Vita in Europe, but its RPG Story mode involves a more tactical strategy to reclaim your homeland. And really, anything that asks us to battle trident-wielding lizards has our attention.
The story follows Aztec emperor Montezuma's retreat to an otherwordly dimension due to the arrival of Spanish conquistadors. And seriously, when you choose to fight a realm of beasts like "Salamander XVI" in a game of wits instead of facing the conquistadors, you know they're a bunch of jerks. Montezuma's trip is temporary though, and each victory restores power that he'll eventually use to return home.
Aside from the story mode, there are tournament options for competitive multiplayer matches as well as an unlockable Endless mode. Bonuses and items can be purchased with Crystals, a currency that Montezuma: Arenaawards for each battle, although there's also a store to buy Crystal with cash. Uh ... the legal kind of crystal, of course.

PS4 launch of A Realm Reborn helps push reinvigorated MMO past milestone
Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn continued its turn-around story, as the game now boasts 2 million player registrations worldwide, Square Enix has announced.
Upon its original release in 2010, Final Fantasy XIV received scathing reviews from players and critics alike. The publisher halted subscription plans while it scrambled to fix a litany of problems with the game, and eventually opted to reboot the entire game under the moniker A Realm Reborn. The original version of Final Fantasy XIV was shut down in November of 2012, with A Realm Reborn arriving on the PC and PlayStation 3 in August of last year.
In its first two months of release, A Realm Reborn registered 1.5 million players worldwide and prompted Square Enix to improve its financial forecast. Last month, the company revealed it had more than 500,000 daily active users for the game. Those numbers likely received a boost last week as the game made its debut on the PlayStation 4.

The Assassin's Creed series has sold about 73 million copies, making it Ubisoft's best-selling series by 25 million units.
Ubisoft gave an updated look at its worldwide best-selling franchises on its official web page, providing cumulative sales figures for its 16 top-performing series.

While the Vita still lags behind its console and computer counterparts, fans of Telltale's critically beloved The Walking Dead won't have to wait much longer for the second season of the emotionally charged zombie adventure.
Barring any unforeseen catastrophe, The Walking Dead: Season 2 will make its Vita debut on April 22. To make up for the delayed release, Telltale has opted to launch both Episode 1 and Episode 2 of the new season simultaneously. Come April 22, both episodes will be available from the PlayStation Network Store at a price of $5, though if you plan to eventually play through all five planned episodes of Season 2, you'll find that the $15 Season Pass offers a 20 percent discount over purchasing each episode individually.
Additionally, Telltale has announced that The Walking Dead: The Complete First Season is now available on Android devices including the Nvidia Shield, Amazon Fire TV and Amazon Kindle HDX.

Konami has announced plans to bring a horrifying duo to the Vita via the PlayStation Network. Silent Hill: Origins and Silent Hill: Shattered Memories are both planned for European release, with a date to be announced shortly.
A press release from the publisher confirms the games will be available for £7.99/9,95 Euro each.
Silent Hill: Origins, originally released for the PlayStation Portable, acts as a prequel to the horror franchise. It follows protagonist Travis Grady's search for information regarding a girl he rescued from a fire. The search leads to the mist-covered town of Silent Hill where all forms of hell break loose.
Silent Hill: Shattered Memories eschews combat in favor of running away from terrifying monsters as player-character Harry Mason searches for his missing daughter. Shattered Memories first launched for the Nintendo Wii, and reimagined the original Silent Hill's twisted story.
Joystiq has contacted Konami to ask about release plans in other regions and will update this story if additional information becomes available.
