Evilo has today released a new kickass version of his port of the NeoGeo CD emulator to the Playstation 2 Console, heres what Evilo posted:[br][br] After a few weeks of work, here is the new version ![br][br]Changelog:[br][br]- Compatibily greatly increased (no more sprites/tiles missing). [br]thanks so much to Ian for the very very helpull tip ![br]- In game "freezing" fixed.[br]- Memory save "crash" fixed.[br]- Added 2nd controller support & analog controls[br]- Added possibility to disable z80 emulation.[br]- Optimized rendering code (better but still not fullspeed).[br]- Corrected HDD/MC support ("should" work now, untested).[br]- Checks local "cd" folder before asking to swap CD.[br]- Rewrote CD reading/swapping code using Hiryu CDVD library.[br]no more iso9660 limitations (like 31 files in root dir, ...)[br]and cd swap issue should be fixed.[br]- Removed loading of memcard.bin (useless empty file)[br]- Removed need for timer.irx (not used anymore)[br]- Automatically set region (EUR for pal ps2, USA for ntsc ps2)[br][br]I'm really starting to be proud of it, as it reached now a good level. Graphics are almost ok(still have a few minor pb), and most games are playable at a good speed. No, fullspeed is still not here for all games but it should be fixed in the next version with the integration of a new 68000 core (about 2x faster) thanks to Stef (author of GENS emulator), and with the rewrite of the gfx rendering routines, it will be then ready for the sound support [br][br]Download this new version Here [br][br]Thanks to Evilo who posted the news at DCEmu uk forum.

Alright, I've been coming to DcEmu for many years now and have been extremely impressed with the work of all these fellow programmers. (I program lots to just not this stuff). First time on these forums.
Now, I just saw link to a ps2 emulator site, and em wondering if you need a Modchip like most all other Psx related stuff. I read above the few exploits in the TITLE.DB file, very interesting exploit found...
I wish to run the SNES emulator, do I need a mod chip?
or do i have to use that exploit? also can I burn them onto Cd-r's...i notice the Ps2 can't even read audio cdr...hmmm..Love some feedback.
