PS Vita Henkaku users take note - Sony pulls PSN access for firmware 3.60
If you've been following the developments of Henkaku for PS Vita, you'll most likely know this was coming. If you didn't, well as of November 22rd 2016, old Sony has now acted to remove access to the Playstation Network for those on version 3.60 firmware running Henkaku. This means you won't be able to directly access the Playstation Store, online multiplayer and synce Trophies from the PS Vita console. It also kills cross-platform saving for game titles that support it (The Legend of Heroes, Trails of Cold Steel to name one). According to team molecule and YifanLu, PSN access was possible because firmware versions 3.60 and 3.61 used the same platform access token to check in with Sony's servers - of which Henkauku's built-in spoofer exploited in order to sidestep firmware checks. Version 3.63, the current latest at the time of writing, uses a different token and since there isn't yet a firmware exploit for that version, 3.60 users are out of luck. It is possible though, that those who wishe to get games into their Henkaku-enabled Ps Vita may be able to do so with a PS3 and a computer running QCMA.
I can personally confirm PSN access for Henkaku-enabled PS Vita is no longer possible (I checked early this morning) and and folks on Wololo.net and Reddit have reported losing access all the same.
