And here it is! PlayStation Plus has been announced. As we suspected, the PlayStation Network will not change, while power users can upgrade for $50 a year or $18 for three months. But that ain't all! Looks like your very first three months are free... and what do you get for your hard earned dough? Tons of premium content, including "hundreds of dollars of products" throughout the year, early access to betas, and Qore.

Sony has announced that Killzone 3 will be released next February 2011.
The news came from - you guessed it - the Sony E3 conference, where the game was shown to attendees in 3D.
Guerrilla Games' Hermen Hulst was on stage to demo the game and he also confirmed it would support PlayStation Move.
The 3D demonstration of the game was split into two parts centring around the snowy level we saw in Amsterdam a little while ago.

Sony just announced Singstar: Dance for PlayStation Move.
CVG reported last week that the game would appear at E3 - and we were right.
We expect SingStar Dance players to be able to hold Move controllers in their hands so that the game can track their dance moves - like a higher-end version of Ubisoft's Just Dance.

Pre-orders for this year’s Call of Duty: Black Ops are already on par with those made for last year’s best-selling Modern Warfare 2.
Activision’s chief financial officer Thomas Tippl was speaking to investors at the publisher’s E3 conference last night. He said: “Pre-orders for Call of Duty: Black Ops are being made at a pace similar to Modern Warfare 2.
“The game is on track to create another exciting holiday season this year.”
Treyarch-developed Black Ops is the latest in Activision’s Call of Duty franchise and goes on sale on November 9th with an RRP of £54.99. The title is set during the Cold War and features missions made by secret black ops teams around the world.
Treyarch previously told MCV it believes that Black Ops can better the success of Modern Warfare 2.
Activision also revealed at its E3 conference that Modern Warfare 2 has sold over 20m copies worldwide since release.

Amidst all the glory, chaos and sheer madness of E3, it's easy to forget the simple pleasures in life, like a no-nonsense series of screenshots from one of the best football management series of all time.
They don't need a half an hour build up, thumping music, clueless celeb endorsement or any degree of whooping, just gentle appreciation of the noble art of handheld footy management.
You're probably already enjoying the iPhone version (it's certainly a popular option for the CVG commute in), but there's the PSP version later in the year, where you can enjoy the delights of the Blue Square Premier and AFC Wimbledon versus the mighty Cambridge. Glory days indeed.

Speaking at Ubisoft's E3 conference, company CEO Yves Guillemot has confirmed that game design luminary Michael Ancel is returning to Rayman, the series he conceived, to create a 2D platformer named Rayman Origins.
The game is set for a XBLA and PSN release, and has been created by a team of five using the Ubiarts proprietary toolkit.
Ancel also designed Beyond Good and Evil, and appears to be giving Origins a handpainted look like that made most famous by the Metal Slug games and, more recently, Wario's wii outing.

EA has announced a DLC expansion pack for Battlefield: Bad Company 2 set in Vietnam. It will be released in winter 2010.
A very short teaser was shown of jungle action set to a Creedence Clearwater Revival tune.
Meanwhile, Medal of Honor was given a 12th October release date, and Dead Space 2 will be released on 25th January 2011.
A multiplayer beta for the game will open on 21st June across all three formats: PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
A live 24-player multiplayer match was played on stage at EA's press conference. It took place in a tight, close-quarters urban map in the dusty streets of Kabul and looked very reminiscent of Modern Warfare multiplayer.
These and other EA action games will be tied together by a new web loyalty scheme called EA Gun Club. Gun Club will reward gamers for playing EA games with exclusive news, early demo and beta access and in-game items (guns, probably).
A trailer soundtracked by Steve Lee's country song "I like guns" showed games like Battlefield Heroes and Dead Space 2 as well as Bad Company and Medal of Honor.
Bad Company 2 VIPs who sign up to Gun Club and pre-order Medal of Honor will get early beta access.

June 15th, 2010, 01:03 Posted By: wraggster
EA has revealed Criterion's Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, and announced a 16th November 2010 release date. No formats were mentioned.
The game will feature full careers to play through as both racer and cop, and an Autolog mode that connects you to friends playing the game.
A trailer showed rivals chasing each other through expansive forest and desert environments in Lamborghinis, Koenigseggs, Pagani Zondas and Bugattis - even the police were driving such exotic cars.
"To us, Need for Speed means exotic cars, epic drives and hot pursuits," said the Criterion producer introducing the game.
Autolog will allow you to "connect, compare and compete with friends". It will recommend in-game activities based on what your friends are doing and their scores and times relative to your own. It will nominate a friend on the rival side of the cop/racer divide as your Most Wanted.
Criterion developers played a multiplayer pursuit match on stage. The cop, in a Lamborghini Diablo, chased a racer in a Gallardo through a Redwood forest setting.
They had nitro boosts available, as well as other actions on an on-screen d-pad. The cop could call in roadblocks and deploy spike strips on the road.
The game will be available to play on the show floor, so look out for a report as soon as we can get our hands on it.

New from Divineo China
Are you tired of the normal looking black and white console shells? Ever wondered how the Blu-Ray drive works and the machine runs? No need to worry. The XCM Cyberbot case will solve both problems.
Not only does it make your PS3 Slim look sleek and cool, but it will show the Blu-Ray or DVD spinning with its cool clear case! Usually the shell of the console is clear but the Blu-Ray drive is still covered. The XCM Cyberbot Case comes with a crystal DVD-ROM cover that makes it completely transparent.

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood is due out on 16th November this year.
That's according to a new trailer, which you can see below, that leaked onto YouTube earlier today.
According to the trailer, Brotherhood is set in Rome in 1503 AD, where there are lots of pigeons (reports that we're effectively live-blogging the CG while we write this are largely accurate).
Assassins, as ever, lurk in the shadows - and this time it does appear to be assassins plural, as protagonist Ezio Auditore is assisted by unseen supporters as he daringly approaches a Templar through a crowd of henchmen.
They all meet swift and unfortunate ends and then it really kicks off. It's worth watching the whole thing to see what happens.
Brotherhood is known to continue Ezio's story, and will also include multiplayer for the first time in the series.
