NJ has released a new bugfix update of his NEOGEO CDZ Emulator for PSP. (Neogeo CD Emulator)

Heres whats new: (thanks to JeffChen for the translation )
Bug of CZ80 has been partially fixed. An issue of several games has been fixed (Art of Fighting 2 Opening Demo and etc.) Got rid of useless processing, and made SSG sound effects play much better.
*The sound of Power Spike 2 and Dunk Dream still can’t be played. Something should be wrong. Will fix until the weekend.
(RC3 Bugfix)
Sprite drawing malfunctions when palette is changed. A part of the processing was restored back to old method (emulation speed can suffer from a bit drop when palette is changing gradually).

SG57 has updated his homebrew game, Kitty Cannon.

<blockquote>The Updates in this Demo from the Last hosted here are:
New option menu with Over-Clock and Underclocking PSP option
I recommend the Over-Clock seeing as how the game is less laggy ~Credits are there but still need some work ~De-Bug option on Main Menu is there so no more trickery ...
The De-Bug mode has been removed for this release for Gravity testing...
Every place/menu/option has a 'Go Back' option for MAX GUI ~SCREENSHOTS are working **GREAT** I must say ~Score is at the Top
*100 for Dodging the Fireball
*-100 for Pressing [ O ]
Scrolling Background is Working and Fully Functional
NEW* Background Music, anyone can use there own...
Scrolling Spikes with the Backround
PSP Eboot Icon now plays Music!
CONTROLS
[] - Reset Score/Every Object back to normal
X - Move Kitty in a Diagnol Movement
O - Move Kitty in a Straight Movement
SELECT - ScreenShot that Saves in the PHOTO folder in .PNG format
START - Stop music and brings you back to the Main Menu of Kitty Cannon
Known BUGS
-Holding the X or O button too long causes background lag which creates empty **spots that if an image goes over, it leaves a trail (pretty cool when you take a **screenshot -Pressing START sometimes sends you bakc to main menu -After getting to the main menu pressing START, if you try to play again, BLACKOUT -Debug mode Sends you to the main menu as its only for Gravity Testing only -Fireball can get going soo fast, that you cant even see it! lol not much of a bug -Sorry, but no Collision detection, cant seem to get it to work right </blockquote>

Sony is poised to give the PlayStation 3 another public outing - at the Taipei Game Show, which is scheduled to take place between February 16 and 20.
According to the Chinese-language Commercial Times, "Sony's exhibit will occupy a total of 80 booths at the TGS show, including 20 booths allocated exclusively for the PS3." Considering that, at the PS3's TGS outing last September, Sony devoted the vast majority of its floor-space to the PSP and PS2, it seems the company finally prepared to ditch its coyness concerning the next-gen console.
Whether visitors to the Taiwanese show will be the first to get hands-on time with the PS3 - rather than the rolling demos that have been shown up until now - is unknown, however. Sony is currently trotting out the official line that it won't make any comments about the console until E3 in May.
However, with Microsoft due to launch its Xbox 360 in Taiwan on March 16, the Taipei Game Show provides Sony with an ideally-timed opportunity for a cheeky spoiler.

According to Warren Communications News, William Zeitler, Senior Vice President of IBM’s Systems & Technology Group, told a news conference yesterday that "yield learning" on the Cell processor that forms the core of Sony's PlayStation 3 console has been "faster than on any chip we’ve done." In English, that means that IBM is learning quickly how to produce more working Cell processors per batch of chips they cook up. This bodes well for supply of this critical component if factories contracted by Sony to produce components for the PS3 are able to crank out lots and lots of Cell processors in record time once the PS3 heads into full production.
This doesn't necessarily mean that the PS3 won't be scarce at launch, though. Consoles are made of many components. A shortage of any single component can disrupt an entire plan, as Microsoft learned during the launch of the Xbox 360. Plus, IBM's Zeitler notes that the company was able to ramp up their production of Xbox 360 parts quickly as well. What this tells us is that if the PS3 is delayed or is hard to come by, it probably won't be IBM's fault.

Yuke’s Media Creations, the developers behind many wrestling games on multiple platforms, has announced a new project for Sony PSP. Its a dog simulation named The Dog Happy Life. The release date in Japan is 27 April, 2006.. do the publishers (who are currently unknown) have the balls to give this a western release in direct competition with Nintendo’s puppy simulator?
The screen shots show that you can take photos of your dog, select accessories and change the items of the house. If this game wants to succeed over Nintendogs, the simulator will have to make use of the PSPs functions, such as allowing you to download new accessories off the internet, let you listen to music off the memory stick in your home and maybe turn images from your pro duo into posters for your doggy pad.

During the Play UK 2006 video game seminar hosted by the United Kingdom Embassy in Tokyo, Kuju Entertainment creative director Tancred Dyke-Wells revealed that his company is working on Redwood Falls, a first-person shooter for the PlayStation 3.
Kuju showed off a trailer of Redwood Falls during his presentation. According to a report by Famitsu.com, the gory trailer showed a man getting shot repeatedly by gunfire. The man's flesh would wear away, revealing bones and other innards behind open wounds. But the man didn't keel over and die after all the injected lead; instead, his body slowly healed until he was fully recovered.
Wells told Famitsu.com that the human model could have been created even more realistically so that even internal organs could be blown away. However, he held back from doing so this time around, since the main focus of the trailer was to show off Kuju's development prowess.
According to Wells, Redwood Falls will feature plenty of regenerating enemies. The actual game will feature tougher enemies that can heal themselves and transform into more powerful forms and can even manipulate their bones and use them as weapons.
Kuju is currently looking for a publisher for Redwood Falls. No further information was given about the game.

Finally a bit of Sense from Sony, heres the news via GamesIndustry
<blockquote>Sony Pictures has unveiled plans to bundle UMDs with DVDs and announced pricing for the Blu-Ray format, with new movie releases set to carry a wholesale price of less than USD 25.
From March 28th, PlayStation Portable owners will be able to purchase DVD-UMD bundles for movies The Grudge, Resident Evil, Underworld, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon and The Terminator. April 25th will see the arrival of Ghostbusters, Mad Max, The Fifth Element and Snatch, and more bundles will follow in May.
The bundles will be priced at USD 28.95. This is a price point which is likely to appeal to consumers - in the States, new DVD releases generally sell for between USD 20-25, while UMD movies carry an RRP of USD 29.99.
Speaking to Reuters, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment president Benjamin Feingold said: "A lot of people have DVD players and also have PSPs, and this way for one price they can get one movie and play it back on both formats."
SPHE has also announced that Blu-Ray versions of older films will carry a wholesale price of USD 17.95, while new releases will be priced at USD 23.45. The company has declined to set an RRP, leaving retailers free to determine their own profit margins.
SPHE's UK subsidiary was unavailable to comment on whether similar plans are in the pipeline for Europe. </blockquote>

PeterM has posted an updated on his Port of Quake to the PSP, heres what he posted:
<blockquote>Hello,
I thought I'd update the thread with news on what is happening at the moment:
I've just moved house, and don't have internet access there yet. I should have access in the next couple of days.
Chris Swindle and I are going to merge our Quake sources. For this I've set up a SourceForge project and we're adding our source code to their CVS. When the merge is done and we're happy that it's working OK, we'll do a release. I don't know how long it'll take.
I've recently made some progress in my code.
* I've managed to get Quake running fine using Fanjita's EBOOT loader on firmware 2.00. I can't guarantee that Chris' WLAN stuff will work with it though - I've no idea about the loader's WLAN support. Kernel mode, PRXes, etc...
* I've made it so people can quit from the Quake quit menu. This is especially handy when using the loader, since Home does nothing.
* Battery life is monitored and reported periodically.
* There have been some frame rate improvements.
But anyway, hopefully we'll have a release ready soon. Please be patient.
Pete</blockquote>

A new version of OpenTTD port for PSP has been released. Also there is a new site for the project kindly hosted and designed by the http://www.teamjak.net guys. They are still hosting more developers, so if you have a project and need a site to host it, just contact them.
The new site can be found at:
http://openttd.teamjak.net
Also thanks to dcemu, where i have posted the firsts versions of openttd, keep the good work for the scene
Well here is some info for this release:
This release includes many bugfixes wich makes the game more stable, it shouldnt "never" crash now during gameplay.
The scenario creation gui has been fixed to fit on the psp screen, so now you can create, save and play your own scenarios.
Mouse code has been also redone, the 8 axis emulation was a pain, now it should feel like a normal mouse.
Here is the full ChangeLog:
- Map button crash fixed & window resized
- Scenario select window resized
- Scenario creation toolbar resized
- Dropdown menus from toolbar repositioned
- News sumary positioning fixed
- Crash when pressing rail construction blank space fixed
- Save/Load windows resized to fit ok
- Mouse algorithm improved
- Mouse getting out the screen fixed
- Cpu speed changed to 222mhz by default
- Ctrl + click support added, used for presignals (square + cross)
NOTE FOR 2.00 USERS
This release has not been tested on 2.00, some users have reported me that they got some development versions working with save/load, and others told me it woldnt work...
You can try changing your eboot loader options, to use lower system frequency by default such as 200 or 222 Mhz, and maybe tune other values. Let me know if you got this release fully working on a 2.00 console.
And here are two screenshots about the scenario creation and map window.

PSMonkey has posted news on both his very impressive projects, those projects are the Nintendo 64 Emulator for the PSP and also Iris which has to be the most exciting (potential wise) Homebrew project so far:
Heres what he posted on his site:
<blockquote>Ok guys. I though now would be a good time to chime you in on whats going on. So lets get started shal we.
Iris
In the near future an Iris 0.15 build will be released. This will not be the holy grail 0.2 build i've been touting about but it should be a welcom upgrade from the build avalible. After 0.15 I will be heavly working on the official 0.2 build which will debute for the dcemu compo. Why? Because I am cooking up some great features for this build and need some time to get it all in.
So what will be the basis of 0.2? Well here is my main focus.
1) Md2 models will be thrown out in favor of Md4 & hl 1 models. Why? Because I need models with bones. Why? See 2
2) RAGDOLL !! I dont know about you but one thing I think would make iris better is ragdoll. Why? Because it's always fun to have ragdoll in an fps.
3) Game Modes ( Mission, CTF, DM )
4) Wifi (adhoc & infrastructure)
5) Improved gameplay (a given)
So my plate is extra full on this project. I plan to work my ass off so you wont be disapointed.
Nincest 64 / M64
I have today officialy desided, and already underway, to rewrite the emulator from scrach. As most know by now. I have taken up the emulator full time along with Iris (but iris has higher priority to me). Every thing I correct on the emulator in turn makes stuff stop working which is sad. Its like repairing a model house with good glue only to have the crapy glue hate the good glue and fall apart. With the rewrite comes a new name. In the mean time the project will be called M64 for Monkey 64. The project will stay open source because this project only exsist because of the great work of others in the n64 emulation scene. So every build will also include the full source.
Well thats it for now.
Comments? Feel free to speak your mind!!</blockquote>
