DraconumPB posted this news:
I just got this in the mail last night, and so I can't say that this is a proper 'review'.. but.. it's a fairly long post describing the game, my impressions of it, and etc.
Maybe you could post it as a pseudo-review.
The announcement of the game was on the psp-news front page like 3 weeks ago, but it was kind of obscure and its only in korean, so some people might be wary of it. This is a fairly broad description of how the game plays, it's upsides and downsides, and so forth, so it might help some people decide whether or not to get it. Also included is details on my satisfactory experience with play-asia

No that isnt the title of a new game although i was talking to PSMonkey about a PSPScene TeamFortress type game where as sites we battle each other but anyway onto the more serious stuff.
Im sure you are aware that the PSP Scenes 2 biggest sites dont link or source each others as well as other such actions.
Well with my ear being bended by friends and staff, admins mods etc, Ive made the first move and unbanned all people banned ( i just hope no real trouble causers were unbanned) and uncensored words too.
With this action i would expect PSPUpdates or QJnet to do the same but i also hope that this puts an end to some of the rather shady actions ive been reading about (those exclusive releases - you know what i mean).
Its time to get on and link correctly and that means other sites too who just leech off the main sites.
Lets make the PSP Scene great and kick out the warez sites, homebrew is not warez and we dont want that in our scene.

Sentinel posted this news in our Submit news forum:
<blockquote>Hi!
I would like to tell you about a new psp site. I'm a student from germany and I'm working on an example project for my computer-science diploma-thesis.
That project is called psp°map (which stands for 'meet and play') and should help psp owners finding other psp gamers in their area and assist them in organizing meetups.
http://www.pspmap.net
Some features:
you can add your favorite locations, games and friends
you can set your current location, which other gamers can see (and maybe join you)
add new events (meetups)
the app suggestes possible friends in your area, based on how many same locations you like
it will soon be possible to use your mobile phone to find other gamers near you when you're on the road (e.g. when you missed your train and have some time ...)
AJAX-powered interface
The site is online since yesterday and I hope you check it out and maybe spread the news.
Thanks and bye,
Mario Eckl</blockquote>

By now the story of Vida Guerra’s rise has become so legendary, you’ll be telling it to your grandkids. With the start of the new year upon us, FHM took a moment to check in with Vida to see how she spent 2005.
Kristin Chenoweth is a woman of contradictions. She’s 4-foot-11 and tips the scales at 95 pounds, yet she sports an Amazonian’s curves. She’s a Tony-award winning Broadway star, but she’s a diva with decidedly un-tony dining tastes.

Google recently met with Sony to discuss how users could use their PSPs to access municipal Wi-Fi networks, which Google hopes to bring to the San Francisco area and beyond. The San Francisco network would be free to the city and its users, to an extent—Google will likely offer a premium service, featuring higher speeds for paying customers. In addition, with the proper network access installed on the PSP, Google could deliver location-specific ads to gamers. That is, Google can track which access point the PSP is connecting through and send out an ad for a business around the block.

Last summer, Matt Kindt began formatting his Super Spy comic for the PSP. Unfortunately, the series stalled after the first entry—until now. We're happy to see that Kindt, the award-winning creator of Pistolwhip, has found the energy to continue with this project, as he is now dedicated to posting a weekly Super Spy tale every Sunday night for the rest of 2006. If you're looking to get some added value out of your PSP, Kindt's work is the perfect opportunity.

Ok we all love the PSP it is a great gaming and homebrew console but every console ever created has some thing that annoys the hell out of you.
What annoys you about the PSP?
and because im starting this discussion my main gripe is Battery time, i recently brought the games GTA and Champ Manager PSP and after a few hours im recharging and less of a gripe but still an annoyance is the dust and grime that the surface of the console collects.

My old mate 007Cheater who in reality was the person who eventually made my mind up to do my own websites has on his PSP Site interviewed the coder behind Psix the new Shell for PSP.
Heres an excerpt from that interview:
"16) Why should someone purchase the PRO membership over the Lite version? What are the differences?
It almost seems a waste of time to express that pro membership isn't paying for psix, its paying for administration fees and access to the development area of psix, because no matter how many times i state that, people read it as "well whatever it still means you pay for pro", even though pro is just 'beta', and lite is just 'stable', all additions we make to Pro, will be added to the FREE Lite version, when they are stable, it is just our form of quality control and insuring that the final release (which is free), will be feature packed and bug free, if people don't like it, theres many alternatives to psix.
17) A long time ago there was some heat between yourself and Sonyxteam. Is there still hatred for each other or did you resolve your differences?
That's all old hat really, basically i called out yoshi on his lying ways, and he replied by posting a long post on their main site full of lies about me, quite comical in my opinion i must say.
18) Can you explain more about the UMD/Homebrew boot tool and also Advanced boot configuration (2.00 eboot support)
Not entirely sure on UMD, but in future versions of both Pro and Lite, we hope to be able to offer 2.00 PSP compatibility, retaining the ability to launch eboots, even from psix, though im sure when that time comes, people will cry that we 'stole fanjitas code' or something very similar."

Hey all got sent this news from grin.ch, here goes:
<blockquote>VERY NOTEWORTHY:
I have found a hack/exploit for the eBoot loader!! Some of you may have already thought of this as it is very basic, but I have not seen coverage on this anywhere as of yet. This is for everyone, especially the n00bs
eBoot loader only displays 22 or 23 games on the main menu. However, if you go into PSP>GAME (Via computer connection), there you will see all of your
homebrew. Now for the cool part: Add another folder in the GAME folder (Right click>New>Folder) and call it whatever you want. (I call mine "[2!] GAME" so it loads at the top of the list of folders on my computer in PSP>GAME where I can easily access and add homebrew to it. Now put all the rest of your homebrew in there (from your 23rd downloaded homebrew game ++) and you can extend your homebrew library by as much memory as you have on your MSDUO.
I was sick of having 22 games on the [eBoot loader] menu and having to delete the least fun game out of the lot just so I could replace it every time I
downloaded a new homebrew. So in short, I now have access to about 40 homebrew games and apps which are all accessible through the eBoot loader menu.
I hope I've made the eBoot loader even better with this little tip for the
people who will use it. (Don't know why I didn't think of this much sooner...)
Additionally:
I am not the greatest programmer, but I enjoy homebrew and wanted to know if some of you would print this on your web page in an area of related content. I would appreciate a small bit of recognition for this, just to be recognised for a split second in the homebrew scene. I just think that would be the coolest. =)
Thanks for your time and consideration for posting this,
grin.ch
P.S. Please check out my website to give me feedback at: http://www.geocities.com/jilopey29/i...?1138951978968
or just reply to this email. Thanks.</blockquote>
