StereoMike who released an update to Doom on our forums has today ported Duke Nukem 3D to the PSP, heres the info:
<blockquote>This is a port of the JonoF:s version of Duke Nukem 3d to PSP by StereoMike
Jfduke3d was originally developed by Jonathan Fowler and can be found here
http://jonof.edgenetwork.org/index.php?p=jfduke3d
BUGS
=====
- The pitch of Duke's voice is a bit too high making him sound a bit "strange"
- No loading(saving works...)
- No music
- Not completely stable, may crash when starting a game and exiting (but i have played a couple of levels in a row, so it should be stable ingame)
- The key-bindings are a bit tricky to change since you can't delete the old ones.
- The "Press any key to goto next level" only reacts to pressing "Start"</blockquote>

Ahman has released another remote controller app for the PSP, heres the info:
<blockquote>iR Commander is an Infra-Red Universal Remote Control software for Playstation Portable. It allows you to control various home appliances and other infra-red based equipments. It's implementation is based on CIR (Consumer IR), not IrDA. Thus, it will not allow you to communicate with your laptop via IrDA for information exchange. CIR is typically used among most home appliances and electronic equipments with IR wireless remote controls, such as TVs, VCRs, DVDs, Projectors, etc.
The current version of iR Commander does not allow your PSP to directly learn another remote control unit by pointing at it. Instead, it uses the most popular IR code available on the net, Pronto Hex Code. By copying the Pronto Hex Codes to your PSP, you can eventually turn your PSP into a Universal remote with support for over than 6000 equipments.
Feature List:
Support standard Pronto Hex Codes. The most popular published IR code database on the net.
Remote Control Units are defined as Remote Description Files (RDF). The system currently supports a maximum of 100 RDF files, that is, you can have 100 different remotes on your PSP.
RDF can be created easily by end-users via a simple text editor. RDF contains the key definitions and it's corresponding Pronto Hex Codes.
Optional bitmap graphics can be used to describe the remote layout and their functions. If you don't provide the bitmap, the system will generate a default text based layout description.
Current version supports a maximum of 24 keys per device (per RDF).
Macros are supported which allows you to press a single key to control multiple devices. For example, click 'X' on PSP can allow you to switch on the TV, change to AV channel, power on DVD player and start playing the disc.</blockquote>

Zordak has released a new Lua Puzzle game for the PSP, heres the info:
The game consist in clear the screen, removing all the block. If you can remove all and is impossible to continue, press select to make a new board or press start to choose another difficult level. The movement of the block are always down and left, check image ayuda-help.png for better understand.
Using rotation have a penalty of -500 points. If you clear the screen without using rotation points i will bonify you with 2x points. To clear blocks at least have to be 2, clearing more blocks at same time will multiply the score for clearing block. The 3 first levels can be cleared without rotation, the 4º is more difficult but i think its possible. The last 2 i think they are impossible to clear without rotation. If someone can, notify us XD
The score board save the points, time (anecdotic), level and is you used rotation or not.
Sounds good, download via comments:

<blockquote>The first incarnation of Neuros' MPEG 4 Recorder proved a handy tool for getting video onto a PDA without having to leave your computer on overnight while it churned through complex re-encoding algorithms. However, it didn't quite hack it as a no-frills PVR, lacking support for the higher resolutions you need for decent playback on a TV, and the ability to program a recording schedule. Neuros is one of those rare companies that not only takes such criticism on board but does something about it, and in this case promptly tweaked the product and re-released it as the Recorder 2...
Verdict
Neuros' MPEG 4 Recorder was a great product for getting movies and TV shows onto a PDA, and the Recorder 2, with its more widely supported video and audio codecs, PSP-friendly encoding settings, and near-DVD quality TV recording, is a big step forward. It's still not the last word in PVRs, of course, but the new version does a better job than its predecessor.
It's a shame Neuros felt it necessary to drop the unit's USB 2.0 support, particularly since the unit's support for the iPod video format puts Mac and PC connectivity at a premium. Fortunately, USB-based card readers are very cheap these days, but it's still a disappointing omission.
PSP users will be less concerned about that than owners of other mobile devices, and for them the MPEG 4 Recorder 2 costs less than eight pre-recorded UMDs, always a galling purchase when you own the content in other forms, such as DVD. The same goes for anyone who has a fifth-generation iPod - users benefit too. And it also makes a pretty decent VCR replacement. </blockquote>
The Neuros MPEG 4 Recorder 2 can be brought at Lik Sang

EA has released a trailer and screens of 007's PSP debut as From Russia with Love gets ported to the Sony handheld.
It was last year that EA announced that it was bringing its latest Bond adventure to PSP and it seems to have survived the conversion with all of its features intact, the main change being that now there is a four-player mode using the handheld's WiFi capability.
The game is based on the classic 1963 Bond film but EA has felt free to pack the game with events and action sequences that didn't appear in the film – which means you can fly jetpacks, have a shoot-out on a speeding train and meet Natasha Bedingfield. Yeah, live the dream.
From Russia with Love will be released for PSP on 17 March

Sony Europe's Recording Media and Energy division has launched a new promotional pack for its 2GB Memory Stick PRO Duo, specially designed to attract PSP-owning consumers.
The new pack features a large PSP image on the front, and comes complete with a USB cable so users can connect their handheld up to their PC for file swapping.
The 2GB Memory Stick has more than 60 times the capacity of the stick included in the original PSP Value Pack, which weighs in at just 32MB. It can store up to 60 hours of music, 1000 digital photos or a maximum of four full-length films. According to Sony, price points will vary from country to country, with an estimated end-user price of around EURO 175 (just under GBP 120).
Last November, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe launched the PSP Giga Pack - a special bundle containing a handheld plus a 1GB Memory Stick, along with an assortment of accessories. Sony has yet to confirm whether a 2GB Giga Pack is also on the way, but it's certainly a possibility judging by the success of the 1GB bundle - a top-selling product across Europe during the festive period.

Sony has released software for its popular PSP handheld gaming device called TalkMan. In development for some time now, the program currently stores about 3,000 conversation patterns in English, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese. 'A user may speak the words "Koko-wa-dokodesuka?" (Where is this?) in Japanese, for example, into the device's microphone, upon which a cartoon bird acting as an interpreter will pop up and start talking in the user's language. The bird is also able to translate the reply into Japanese.' A European release for TalkMan is expected in the spring
