Was sure i posted this before but heres the news i found today: (via PSXextreme)
Wish you could send IM's to your AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) buddies from your PSP? Now you can.
An enterprising group of individuals has come up with AimOnPSP, a "web-based AIM client that can be used in almost any browser that supports JavaScript (such as the one included in the new PSP firmware)."
The service is free-of-charge. To use it, just point your PSP's web browser to www.aimonpsp.com and input your AIM username and password. You can send and receive IM's just like you can while using AIM, although certain features are unavailable (such as file and image sharing).

Sony has dropped another opportunity to go on record regarding the Playstation 3 and its launch details at the Taipei Game Show. Instead of revealing a working console or describing hardware or other details, the Japanese electronics giant had a console trapped in a display case accompanied by the hideous controller which, apparently, the company is still hot on.
The lack of PS3 news at the Taipei show has sparked further comments regarding the company's schedule and Sony's Asian boss, Tetsuhiko Yasuda, told the Mainichi Daily News that even Sony itself is not yet decided on the final launch date. The latest assumption behind Sony's reluctance to release the console in spring as initially expected has to do with piracy issues and the company deciding to take some time to protect its product from any danger.
The next stop on the PS3 tour is the Game Developers Conference in March which Phil Harrison is addressing and as a result it is hoped that some PS3 news will have to be divulged.

SuccessHK have posted this latest Commercial game release:

Based on the classic franchise, Final Fight: Streetwise will take players back to Metro City for the first time since the Sega Saturn days. Rather than follow legendary heroes Haggar, Guy, and Cody, Final Fight: Streetwise puts players in the role of all-new character and brother to Cody, Kyle Travers. After spending years intimidating local gangs, the Travers brothers have cleaned up their neighborhood and brought peace to the surrounding areas. "Your fists are the only thing that you can rely on in this world," the brothers say, and as it turns out, they're going to need them --as one day without warning, an unknown underground organization kidnaps Cody and turns the city to disorder. From that point on, Kyle's mission is to solve Cody's disappearance and build respect from the thugs that took him.

Half a year after I released 0.9 of PSP Sokoban, I got a report of a bug that has now been fixed, and I pronounce this version 1.0. Also includes a nicer icon!
You can get it at http://nino.nu/sokoban.html
From the readme:
This is a version of the puzzle game Sokoban for the PSP.
85 levels are included from the original Sokoban game as
packaged with xsok 1.02.
The graphics comes from Gsokoban, which you can find at
http://home.swipnet.se/darshiva/gsokoban/
The PSP code is derived from Nem's Hello PSP and Shine's Snake,
plus of course the PSPSDK project.
Thanks to you guys who made this possible!
Move around with the D-pad, use left and right trigger to select level.
Push all the objects to the goal tiles to complete a level.
Version History:
0.1 Initial release
0.2 Converted to PSPSDK, added weak's screenshot code (saves ss.bmp in MS root)
0.9 Big step in version, I feel it's pretty much complete unless
there are any bugs!
Added highscore code, in-game help and undo function.
1.0 Fixed a bug reported by Jose Baladon, added snazzy icon by Pochi

I was tinkering with the Playstation Portable version of Fight Night Round 3 tonight when I decided to check out the online play.
Imagine my shock when a message popped up telling me that I had to either pay $2 or give my privacy away to ESPN and whoever they feel like selling my details to, if I wanted to play online.
I shit you not, it’s a requirement for ALL online play in this game. How insane is that. Granted $2 is next to nothing, unless you don’t have a credit card. If you don’t have a credit card, it’s either give ESPN your info (including email) or don’t play.
I sure hope Sony doesn’t continue down this ugly path. Imagine having to give up your email and, in essence, signing up for spam, just to play SOCOM 4 online.
I don’t know if this is a Sony or an EA idea, but it stinks to high heaven. Although my version of this game is a retail final, it didn’t come with packaging, so I don’t know if they let buyers know ahead of time they have to pay an extra $2 or opt-in to email delivered advertising.
I’ll see what I can find out on Monday. In the meantime let me know what you think of this idea.
Well its a dirty trick in my book, thoughts anyone ?

The PSP has been out for way over a year now in Japan and at least 6 Months Worldwide and there has been some great games so far, but what games are you most looking forward to out of games that have been announced, for me Field Commander is looking great but any RTS game would be very welcome to me, i suppose Gran Tourismo for the PSP (whenever that finally comes out) is another killer app to look forward to.
Whats the game you are most looking forward to seeing ? (thats already been announced)

News of progress of the PS2 emu for windows:
General Plot has been strangely happy these past few days, slowly taking screenshots and recording a video from Grandia 3, betatesting has warped his mind, now he finds 0.x-2 FPS 'fun' .
So yes you guessed it, there's a video with this news post, but you have to admit, seeing something in motion truly gives a better impression of what it looks like!
Video is AVI using xVid so you will need a media player capable of playing back this format. This file is being shared using Bit Torrent, so you will need a torrent client, such as uTorrent to download this video.
