Laxer3a posted this update on the state of play with the excellent Snes emulator for the PSP:
Hi everybody.
As I wrote in the beta test thread. The ME is doing some issues...
The network stuff is quite great tough (it is really cool to play Sf2 with two PSP !!!) But it suffer some stability issue. The good point is that yoyo debugged enough the network stuff so that the consoles do not loose synchronization too much. Some of the rendering of the blending are going weird with quite somes games. I dont know why for the moment and need to talk with yoyo about it. Basically, it seems that if the ME is just here to process stuff but be quite independant, the program seems to work OK. But when there is too much interaction between the two process on each cpu, it seems to go weird. The thing is that the way the code is done IS correct. I really believe so...
That network stuff is also TOO COOL to be lost. So I think we are motivated enough to get it work. It is just that we planned to release this week end actually... But it is far too much unstable to have a lot of people after complain that the level of the emu went far down. So please wait again for a while (=some weeks) until yoyo and I find enough time to resolve most of the issues and then release a "usable" version of TYL 0.4

Some more LUA goodness. Its good to see all these new faces getting into PSP coding. Here is what Benh has to say about his new app..
Hi my name is benh and I am new to the psp homebrew scene and I have just finished my first psp program written in LUA coding.
My program is called whiteboard and it is a simple drawing application but this file can only be used if you have lua player loaded onto your psp, which can be downloaded from this site.
I have made this program available in two different formats to download, the first one is .ZIP which can be extracted with windows and the other in .RAR, for this you will need to download winrar to extract the contents of this format.
TO DO
Add an eraser
I will be working on this update very soon.
I hope you enjoy my first program and if you notice any bugs or problems with the program please E-mail me at crazycoderpsp114@hotmail.co.uk
thanks

Now these are the type of Mags i like, heres the info (thanks PSPMags)
With the world’s most popular MySpace page, Tila Tequila has taken over the internet. And now this four-foot-eleven spitfire is poised to conquer the music world. Listen up!
Stacy Keibler may have legs that put gazelles’ to shame and a rear end that inspires fellow wrestlers to spout poetry (she says Bubba Ray Dudley told her it “looks like a heart”), but she’s still not willing to drop her top for Joe Public.

Zordak has released a new game written in Lua for the PSP, heres the details from the readme:
Jooleem PSP for fw 1.5 - ZordaK
Using luaplayer 0.14 (other versions give me shuttering music)
I dont tested the game with other versions, please test it with fw 2.x and tell the ppl if works. This game is based on Jooleem http://jooleem.sourceforge.net/ developed by Chai Braudo, with music by Ryan Reilly and sound design by Dale North. On this version, graphics are from me and chai, sounds by Dale and the music is taken from the modarchive database, i dont know the author of the music file, THANKS TO HIM wherever he stay. Jooleem is a simple yet extremely addictive puzzle game. There is only one rule: click on four marbles
of the same color that form a rectangle. Time is constantly running out, but you can earn time (and points) by forming rectangles. The larger the rectangle, the more time and points are won. The jooleem psp version is based on jooleem psp 0.14 pc/linux version.

There are a lot of talented people who visit both this site, network and forums, and basically im wondering if it would be a good idea to have a Monthly Magazine in formats that suit each console covering scenes like Dreamcast, PSP, DS, GP2X & GBA.
I would give a new subdomain at the network but sadly i do not have the time or infact the skill to carry something like that off.
I know theres a ton of PSP Mags but a Mag covering all consoles would be awesome and if its done by fans then thats all the better.
Any thoughts on this, If anyone Can start a project like this with the skills needed post away too, answer via the comments

Danzels Messenger Client for the PSP has some news:
Heres an update for everyone on the current afkim progress. The current todo list for the next version is looking fairly big, but there is alot of good things in there to wait for. I’ve been working on a new keyboard, there is a test version of it you can try Here. Raw images of OSK are available Here (gimp format) if you want to change the gfx. And as you’ve seen on the AFKIM splash screen, AFKIM was entered in the Neo-Flash Competition, you can vote for AFKIM here: http://www.neoflash.com/forum/index....c,1941.45.html
I’ve also fixed the paypal link, it had the wrong email address (woops!). Feel free to sling something my way.

Off topic but damn funny
Source - MosNews
An employee of Cognitive Technologies computer company has beaten a man who was selling the company’s software illegally.
Manager of the company’s software department, Andrei Smirnov, offered to fight the dealer in a fitness center. He defeated the computer pirate 24-16 in three rounds, lasting three minutes each. The dealer’s name was not revealed, News.Ru web edition on high technologies reported on Thursday.
In February, Smirnov saw the dealer selling CDs with his company’s software at a computer market without a license. Smirnov demanded that the dealer stop the illegal sale. A scuffle broke out, but they were stopped by the guard. After that, the pirate expressed a wish to continue the fight in the street, but Smirnov suggested a fitness center.

Success HK have posted the latest games they have on preorder:
NBA Ballers Rebound US ver.

Throw it down and live it up in the PlayStation Portable version of Midway's b-ball game. Play as one of today's most popular basketball players in some of the most intense one-on-one hoops competitions available. Take a friend to the hoop over a wireless multiplayer connection, and follow the action off the court and into the luxurious surroundings of your favorite NBA player's homes.

Viewtiful Joe: Red Hot Rumble US ver.

Created by Capcom, Viewtiful Joe: Red Hot Rumble. utilizes the presentation and settings from the first two action games and combines both with a new play style inspired by battle-centric fighting games, such as Super Smash Bros. Melee. New and familiar characters return -- including Joe, Silvia, Captain Blue Junior, Sprocket, and, exclusive to the PSP, Devil May Cry's Dante -- to compete in versus-mode fighting. You can also engage in Trial Mode for a number of quick mini-games. Along with a single-player story mode, Red Hot Rumble offers wireless action for up to four players. The title also supports game sharing so other PSP owners can check out particular stages and characters from one game disc.

Worms: Open Warfare US ver.

The processing power of the new handhelds means Worms contains the best of aspects of all previous Worms games while at the same time offering the best Worms AI and most balanced weapons system to date. Plus with the introduction of a whole raft of unique features and laugh-out-loud comedy, Worms engages the player with streamlined gameplay especially suited to the smaller screen and shorter play time of a handheld device.
