Charnold has released a new version of his PSP Dungeons: Assault Run Game and Editor.
Heres whats new:
05-02-2008 Version 1.0.3
- some internal map format changes: the map editor can open the old versions, but the game can't (so open the map in the editor and goto file / create game format)
editor changes:
- bug removed when opening a map that has fewer mapareas than the currently selected maparea (now the current maparea after opening a map is always the first)
new property per component: is level-exit (yes/no)
- when the player collides with this component, the current map is deleted from memory and the next map is loaded (the map names must be map001.d2, map002.d2, map003.d2...).
- when a map has a level exit and there is no next map, the map001.d2 is loaded again
- when the next map has a different modelpack, the md3 models are also deleted and loaded
game changes:
- config.txt file (in system folder), here you can set vsync on/off and change the titlescreen text
- particle effect when hitting enemies

Between the comprehensive in-game map, the GPS-imbued minimap, and the TomTom-esque functionality of certain vehicles, we've yet to misplace ourselves within Liberty City's digital boroughs. Still, if you find yourself lost whilst playing Grand Theft Auto IV, we guess this Liberty City map application (mapplication?) using the Google Maps interface would come in handy.
A number of user contributions have already been made to the map, showing the location of hidden items, easter eggs, pigeon locations, stunt jumps, and yes, even hookers, whom we assume were fitted with GPS locaters by trained prostitute handlers before being released back into the wild. It makes for a useful cartographical companion for those with a laptop near their console of choice -- if you don't mind ruining the fun of exploring the nooks and crannies of Rockstar's intricately crafted metropolis for yourself, that is.

In the article Why a custom firmware 3.93 rather than 3.95?, We explained that 3.95 was regarded as no great novelty and interest. However, if the tip of the iceberg did actually nothing much exciting, the hidden part has been modified to slow the creation of a possible Custom Firmware thanks to changes in address NIDS encryption PRX.
Today is therefore encryption PRX which was broken and the firmware has delivered its entrails shameless.
This does not always say that a Custom firmware 3.95 will see the light of day because there is still addresses NIDS is to find and hard work for little additions to this 3.95. Above all, as stated in the previous news, it will probably be completely redone for the firmware 4.0.
In the hours ahead, we will put online a version of Psardumper able to decipher the 3.95 to puisiez that you yourself have fun with it.
You probably lack a name to put on those who made this feat. Again, our fetish programmer, is behind this discovery and we already preparing a release so that you can play alone with the files of 3.95. Stay in line!
Please note that this information was published after informing MathieuLH and received his agreement for broadcast.
Arent translations great
Basically we may see a release to support the official 3.95 firmware

Even with the Japanese delay, the Skype functionality has been available worldwide for a few months now. It appears Sony is just now bringing an official PSP-2000 Skype headset to Japan, complete with a remote control. The headset can still be used with the original PSP, as a pair of headphones, but the specific input on the upcoming microphone will only fit the PSP Slim model.
Coming next month, this headset will be compatible with Skype and Talkman software, for 3,800 yen. The official model number is PSPJ-15012.

Sony Corp's operating profit likely jumped more than fivefold to 380 billion yen on strong sales of digital cameras in the year just ended, but it missed the company's forecast by 30 billion yen, the Nikkei business daily reported.
That would also be below a consensus estimate of 393.6 billion yen in a poll of 17 analysts by Reuters Estimates.
Sony's videogame division saw its operating loss shrink by about 100 billion yen in the year ended March 2008, helping boost overall profitability, the Nikkei said.
The game unit posted an operating loss of 232 billion yen in the year ended March 2007 due to hefty start-up costs for its PlayStation 3 game console.

New from SuccessHK
The PSP Pandora battery allows you to put the PSP into service mode so that you are able to recover a PSP from a bad flash or downgrade your firmware. The PSP Pandora battery is by far the easiest way to recover your PSP console from a bad flash as well as downgrading. Until now you would need to install chips like the PSP U.P to recover a bad flash, not anymore using the PSP Pandora Battery. It is also worth noting that you can use the PSP Pandora Battery hack on a PSP Slim, having a pre hacked battery is a necessity as PSP Slim cannot run homebrew unless it has been downgraded.
The Pandora Battery is a bulk pack, and it is easy to use: simply insert the magic memory stick into your PSP, then insert the Pandora Battery and follow the simple on-screen instructions. The instructions are also included with the Pandora Battery.
It is for your PSP Slim only, and will fix it 100%.
Price:USD 20.00

Now that the Dual Shock 3 is finally here, it looks like Sony's finding creative way to dump off old SIXAXIS stock -- like tossing 'em in MGS4 PS3 bundles. Japanese PS3 buyers will be able to choose from three "Welcome Box" MGS4 bundles in Satin Silver, Ceramic White, and Clear Black, and in addition to Snake's latest adventure and a Dual Shock 3, they'll find a SIXAXIS inside. The bundles will cost ¥49,800 ($470), compared to ¥51,800 ($492) for the gunmetal gray bundle that doesn't include the extra controller, so basically Sony's giving Japanese buyers $20 to take a SIXAXIS home. That's quite a deal, but honestly, we'd rather take drop the Jackson on that super-hot gunmetal unit home than have another (obsolete) controller lying around.

Yeah, that fancy press shot has a certain beauty to it, but there's just nothing like spotting a highly coveted console in the wild. Thanks to our cameraphone toting tipster in Belgium, we're presented with the first image of the GTA IV bundle sitting on a shelf just waiting for someone to trade their €450 in and take it home. Oh, and if you're wondering what type of shop places a sweet PS3 beside an assortment of blank media, a coffee mug and what appears to be a CRT television circa 1990, it's Free Record Shop in Antwerp, sucka.

News/release from dridri85
Here I get out this new version of the LibGE passing therefore version 0.2.
First you can see a marked improvement in performance (+30 ~ 40 fps). The great novelty is that you can write with TTF!
To use these new functions, I wrote a tutorial in the forum "Tutorials members." There is also an example program in the archive.
All functions are described in the readme file, written in french.
Download link: Lib Graphic Engine v0.2
To install it, you simply copy files from the archive into the right files pspdev (pspdev / psp / include / libge / *. h and pspdev / psp / lib / libge.a).
To use it must include the file libge / ggraphic.h as:
Code:
# include <libge/ggraphic.h>
Then ajouterCitation:
- lge-lfreetype-lpsprtc-lm
the line LIBS = your Makefile.
As you can see we need the library freetype, if you can not install the version voila precompiled
