The ESRB and National Institute on Media and the Family would like to remind (naïve) parents that Grand Theft Auto IV is not appropriate for children. In a joint statement by the two organizations, the groups point out GTA IV has been rated Mature for: Intense Violence, Blood, Strong Language, Strong Sexual Content, Partial Nudity and Use of Drugs and Alcohol. What 12-year-old wouldn't beg to play that? It sounds awesome!
The two organizations "encourage parents to be informed and exercise their discretion when considering the purchase of all M-rated games." The ESRB reminds that the average age of a gamer is now over 30 and that some titles are "clearly not intended" for kids. And GTA IV is clearly one of those games

Yasushiro Nishimura has said that the new Dragon Ball Z game is not really a fighting game. This puzzled the guys over at 1UP.com, so they decided to get a hands-on review. After they sat down and started playing the game they realized it was not really about fighting; it was about smashing and Kamehameha-ing the life out of your opponent without blocking a single hit. According to the article, the game is more like it's anime show: strong hits, big explosions, and literally knocking your opponent in one side of a mountain and out the other.

A truckload of screenshots from PS3 title Siren: New Translation have landed on the pages of the internet, so we've stuck them here for you to see.
The images, posted on Japanese gaming website Game Watch, appear to confirm that the game will feature an American television crew and A LOT of zombies.
Siren: New Translation is the third title in the franchise, succeeding Siren and Forbidden Siren 2. It's not yet confirmed for the UK, which is unfortunate as it looks shit scary.

Sony has revealed plans to continue to push into the Indian market by signing local developers to create titles for the PlayStation 2.
According to a rediff report, 13 developers have signed up to produce games for the ageing console, with the titles likely to take advantage of the EyeToy to offer motion sensitive gaming.
To help keep development costs low, Sony is loaning development kits to studios such as Trine, Indiagames, DQ Entertainment and Dhruva.
"We are supporting the game developers by lending them developers kit at subsidised rates," said Zeno Colaco, VP of publisher and developer relations at SCE.
"Such special pricing helps the game developers in breaking even as it brings down the cost of game development."
Data from research firm iSuppli suggests that the console market in India could be worth around USD 125 million by 2010.

April 25th, 2008, 17:11 Posted By: wraggster
Video game sales prognosticators predict that Grand Theft Auto IV will sell some 9 to 12 million copies this year, lining the pockets of Take-Two execs and Rockstar Games employees. It may also help the PlayStation 3, at least more so than the Xbox 360, says Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter. It's not just him, either, as BMO Capital Markets' Edward Williams thinks GTA's PlayStation heritage may inspire some to drop the cash on a new PS3.
Sony probably doesn't have much to worry about in Europe, where they'll be shipping a GTA IV hardware bundle. Time will tell whether the GTA fanbase deems the prospect of downloadable content and Xbox Live support more important than Sony's software exclusives like Metal Gear Solid 4 and Gran Turismo 5 as motivating factors in making their console choices. Who else can't wait for April's NPD sales data?! Should be very good times.

Remember when you discovered that you could check out your Xbox 360's heatsink without voiding the warranty? Yeah, fun times. Now, we're getting a closer look at the third-generation PlayStation 3 heatsink -- and this time, you won't be required to perform any strange feats of inverted photography in order to take a peek. Furukawa Electric recently showed off the next-gen sink at Techno-Frontier 2008 in Japan, and aside from ditching the copper pipes used in the first two iterations, this one has also split in two in order to cool the Cell and RSX processors separately. Additionally, the latest version sucks down up to 70 fewer watts than the first-gen model, yet manages to still keep your precious console from spontaneously melting. Three cheers for progress, we say.

As Adrian pointed out, if we had these PSP bath bags when we were nine, we'd be a whole lot cleaner and a whole lot wrinklier than we are now. It's a bag. It holds your PSP. It goes into baths. That's pretty much all you need to know. It's unclear to us why you couldn't just get a sandwich bag from Target that would do the same thing, but sandwich bags don't have that fancy pants cord at the top. Does the PSP camera work with Skype video? Because we have an idea..

You may not have the disposable income to take home our one of a kind PS3 Laptop (which is still up for charity auction!), but that doesn't mean you don't have the time or wherewithal to build one of your own. Which is why we've asked our man Ben Heck to show everybody how he built the thing for the benefit of independent modders everywhere. In this installment we'll take apart the PS3, identify the parts within, and then reassemble them in a more compact way. We'll also install a USB breakout cable and take a look under the mammoth heatsinks and pipes. Read on!
