The recently released trailer was far too short and snappy to satisfy any kind of craving for Resistance 2, we're promised more info this Thursday.
Apparently, there's more to the trailer than a simple graphical cock tease. It contains hints at the game's intriguing new plot, which IG's James Stevenson says will be discussed in more detail later this week.
"The trailer discloses some new hints about R2 story direction that I won't spoil for you," said Stevenson, teasing that a pod cast on the official site will be published on April 17, with more info on both the trailer and the game.
He also talks about the current state of the game's development. "We've been working hard getting Resistance 2 ready for its fall release. Right now we're play-testing 60-player multiplayer and eight-player co-op daily, while tweaking sections of our single-player levels," he reveals.
"Needless to say, the game is rapidly progressing and every time we play there are new assets and tech going in," teases Stevenson, who refuses to reveal any specifics. "We're not quite ready to take the lid off the new stuff we're developing", he adds. "There's quite a lot!"

Hey guys u might remind me by making a program called CNDump,if not no matter,CFDump is a program which decrypts the neccessary files to boot the Firmware of devhook this version works up to 3.02 but there will be a newer version to download hopefully up to 3.30 or 3.40.There is a problem with the 1.5 theres a 50/50 chance but it will be hopefully fixed in the CFDump v.2.
There are quite alot of bug's need to be fixed ALSO this program wont brick ur psp but may cause damage in a slight way if something was to go disasterly wrong. For this i hold no responsibility for ne caused and the creater of devhook (BOOSTER) for the devhook supplied.

Sony has confirmed to Eurogamer that it plans to moderate user-generated content in forthcoming PS3 exclusive LittleBigPlanet.
The news comes after TheSixthAxis reported users will be able to rate their own and each others' content, with legal action a possibility if "mature content" gets out of hand.
A Sony spokesperson has since confirmed, "We'll be moderating LittleBigPlanet's user-generated content in the same manner as we moderate all our online games. A good example of this is My SingStar."
In other words Sony will be keeping an eye out for filthy stuff, and will have the power to delete it if necessary.
LittleBigPlanet is out this September. See what all the fuss is about over on the gamepage.

Just got in from the rain, yeah in my job i actually prefer it wet and miserable
Anyway thinking aloud to myself i wondered if Sony had somehow put the PS1 on a chip and stuck it inside the PSP, it would explain why the onboard PS1 Emulation is so very good, that or they took the best bits from VGS and Bleem the 2 PS1emulators they took out with multiple lawsuits.
Wouldnt it be sweet if the PSP was infact a super charged PS2 with enough similarities to be able to to just simulate the PS2 games rather than emulate.
Did Sony drop a major bollock by not making the PSP a more powerful brother of the PS2 or is it, it all makes you wonder
Anyway you can digest these thoughts whilst i carry on newsposting.

Sony has released firmware version 2.30 for the Playstation 3. DTS-HD Master Audio and DTS-HD High Resolution Audio outputs are now supported when playing back Blu Ray disks - however it does not yet support DTS-ES and DTS 96/24 for DVD-Video or DTS-ES Matrix. You can update to the latest release via System Update or download the 130MB package via a computer.
Oh and the update allows access to the redesigned Playstation Store. I haven't updated yet and of now but there will probably be some new content added during the rebuild. If anyone spot anything new, please tell and post via comments.

The BBC's head of digital media technology has commented on plans to make the iPlayer available on the PS3 saying it is on their "roadmap"
Commenting on his blog, Anthony Rose reacted to the website ps3iplayer.com, which allows PS3 owners to stream the iPlayer.
"We'd love to be on every popular device tomorrow, including the PS3, and it was on our roadmap," he wrote.
"We're investigating the optimal video profile and browser proposition to enable us to officially make iPlayer available on PS3 in due course."
Currently the BBC only supports the iPlayer on the Wii and plans to make it more accessible but, in the blog post, Anthony Rose claims they are hampered by resource limitations.

You might remember echochrome from the last time we typed about this hugely promising puzzler. It's one of our most anticipated titles on PSP this year. Really, it's potentially that good.
On screen, a game about a "mysterious wandering mannequin through a brain-teasing array of 3D mazes full of hazards and perils" may not sound like much. But the beauty of echochrome is that you overcome challenges by changing the viewpoint and perspective of the mazes – if you've played Crush, you'll already be a step ahead of the rest.
Anyway, the point of this update is the fact that the European release date appears to have been set as May. So says the game's page on Sony's PlayStation website (as spotted by eagle-eyed PG reader HiddenAway).
The site also divulges a little more info about the game, including the 'five laws of visual perspective' that govern its gameplay and give you more insight into the experience that awaits you.
What are they?
Well, the Law of Perspective Travelling states that when two separate pathways appear to be touching, they actually are.
The Law of Perspective Landing relates to the fact that if one pathway appears to be above another, it is.
The Law of Perspective Existence, meanwhile, dictates that when two pathways appear connected and the gap between them is blocked from view, they are.
The fourth law, of Absence, extends the above concept so that when a gap is blocked from view, it doesn't exist.
And, finally, the Law of Perspective Jumping sees the mannequin landing on anything that appears to be beneath him after a jump.
Got all that? Good. All that's left to say, then, is the fact that you can create your own mazes and share them with friends or fiends via ad-hoc.
That's it for now. Let's hope the game sticks to its May release because we're not the most patient people you'll ever meet. And we want to get some decent time with this game. In addition to the demo already released, that is.

You love Yu-Gi-Oh right? Konami sure does. Every year they release an installment of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force for the PSP. Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force 3 is scheduled to come out in Japan in the fall. North America should get monster dueling with the Duelist Genesis card set around the same time.
While Yu-Gi-Oh might not be for you or me, someone out there is buying the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force games. Actually, make that someone(s) since Konami keeps developing more of them DS and PSP.

News/release from Miclow
My first psp game!
I got the idea while morning the "indefinete delay" of PSP's Oblivion. It is a clone of the lockpick minigame.
Controls:
LEFT and RIGHT move the lockpick
UP starts the picking
X sets the picking
The idea is to press X when the locking mechanism is at the top to set the mechanism. If you press it too late it will not set. If you press it way too late then all the mechanisms will reset.
The game is in alpha stage and has some bugs and needs some major improvement. I used this project to learn how to program in C and on the PSP. I know the BGM messes up a little. Anyhow, let me know what you think!

We have here the first ever trailer for the shooter PS3 fans are waiting for - Resistance 2.
It's only short and doesn't give away much, but you do get a peek at one spectacular scene as hundreds of alien space ships, from the small to the insanely enormous, fill the groggy, fog-of-war-filled skies over San Francisco Bridge.
It looks incredible, but will scenes in the game match what we see in the trailer? Wait and see...

Sony has declined to comment on claims that WipEout HD will be released on 29th May.
Said claims are being made by French site Jeuxvideo, although the date mentioned is a Tuesday and not a Thursday - which is when the PSN Store is usually updated.
Sony also dodged commenting on the whereabouts of a demo for the game, which we had hoped would appear this month.
WipEout HD is port of the popular PSP racing series, and runs in 1080p at 60 frames per second. This makes a massive difference and it all looks really rather lovely.

An Internet clever-clogs has made the BBC iPlayer work on PS3 as a demonstration of how easy it would be to officially support it.
The tinkering was done as a reaction to the BBC offering its telly catch-up service on Wii last week.
All the brain-box had to do to prove the point was stir a cauldron of JavaScript mixed with user-agent strings and a dash of CSS functions.
That means you can watch all of the telly you missed by using your console web browser to go to the Unofficial BBC iPlayer for the PS3 website and following the instructions on it.

With its April 24 Japanese release date approaching fast, Sega has apparently deemed the time right to share copies of Senjou no Valkyria (Valkyria Chronicles in Western markets) with the Japanese press. Impress Watch got an early taste of the game and delivered a lengthy hands-on impressions piece that managed to deliver, amongst the gameplay details, one piece of news.
According to the site, Valkyria offer players the option for a hard disk install. The install takes up 3,336 MB and apparently cuts down load times from the 15 second waits players would otherwise have to sit through when opting to play directly from disc.
As with last month's Ryu ga Gotoku Kenzan install, this install is strictly optional, so those who can't find enough space on their hard disk will still be able to play.

Sony has explained to Eurogamer that Lair will only be getting one downloadable content pack this Thursday.
It had previously said there would be two packs (one paid-for, one free), but the second is actually a title update that will be applied when you run the game while online.
When you do, you will get the option to use analog controls, a targeting reticule, vibration support, PSP remote play support, 180/dash controls mapped to buttons. In addition the client-side leaderboard will get fixed.
The Diabolical Dragons Pack, on the other hand, adds a Poison Dragon and Wind Dragon to the mix. The former is big, strong, and slow, while the latter is small, fast, and fiddly. There are also some fresh music tracks in the concert hall.
However, there is still no word on how much it will all cost.
