TriPingColors goes more to flourish. After the emergence of complex forms, M-Cid introduces the 3rd dimension in his game, which changed its path concept. Click away if your eyes are always radar colors.
Presentation:
As you may know, a color (on a screen like the PSP) is composed of red, green and blue. M-Cid (My Custom IDentity) shared with us TriPingColors Freedom (v3.1), whose goal of the game is simple: you will need to know these three colors proportional to find, as soon as possible and in a certain period of time, good color (one on the platform below) and score a maximum points.
Concept (by the author):
In this version the aim is to keep a level above zero, the more time passes over the gauge empties, it will perform in terms of points scored. Plus the player gets closer colors generated more it will mark points. The rating is based on a calculation of proximity, as a percentage. Each note will be added to your score. When the gauge empties, your points will be carried in grey left of the screen.

News/release from Snowymydog
Before introducing my new homebrew, I would like to appologise for my broken English. English is not my mother language, I hope everyone can understand what I'm going to tell you.
"Pipeline" is remake of the famous puzzle game "Pipemania(aka Pipedream"). Rules are simple: construct a path using the randomly generated pipes from starting point to ending point. Water starts to flow when timer finishes the countdown. If you let the water spill out or did not meet the minimum distance requirement, you fail.
I do all the coding and gfx. Sfx from flashkit.com & soundsnap.com. This homebrew is entering the PSP-Hacks homebrew competition.
Save/Load and Highscore is not coded. In this release, I have included 20 levels. My target is total 50 levels in the final release. GFX and SFX will continue to enhance. The game play itself have nothing more I can do. All I wanted is bug report and comments. Good or bad, love or hate, just tell me.
This game should work on Slim PSP, since I do not own one, please let me know it works.
I need reports about the difficulties of the game. Your opinions are very important. I'll make adjustment on next release. Thanks.
Controls:
D-pad: moves the cursor
X or O: put down a pipe
Triangle: Speed up the timer and water flow
Start: pause/resume game

Japan-based game publisher Marvelous Entertainment Inc. and Los Angeles-based game company XSEED Games announced today their entering into a strategic co-publishing partnership. The deal will help to establish a US publishing presence for Marvelous Entertainment and will provide XSEED Games an opportunity to access and bring to market titles from Marvelous' portfolio of high quality, popular games. Under the agreement, XSEED Games will support key Marvelous Entertainment titles for publishing and distribution in North America, with the first title to be announced under this partnership, Valhalla Knights 2 for the PlayStation Portable (PSP), scheduled to launch in fall 2008.
"We're pleased to be able to announce our new expansion into the largest gaming market in the world, the United States. I'm confident that together with our co-publishing agreement with XSEED Games, we will be able to hit the ground running as we ramp up our US operations," stated Yasuhiro Wada, Managing Director of Marvelous Entertainment.
Jun Iwasaki, President of XSEED Games, shared Mr. Wada's sentiments. "We're honored to get the chance to partner with Marvelous Entertainment as they establish and grow their presence in the US market. They have an exceptional library of original and creative games many of which should prove a hit with Western gamers."
Sequel to the popular Valhalla Knights, Valhalla Knights 2 promises to give fans of the original game a vast and expansive world to explore, and the customization tools to create the ultimate battle party. This action RPG (Role Playing Game) sequel adds new races, job classes, weapons, magic spells, foes, armor and more to the Valhalla Knights universe, within an engrossing story arc. Controlling and choosing character aspects such as skills, race, and appearance, players can engage in real-time 6 on 6 battles, reliant on tactical combat strategies to achieve success. Supporting 2 player ad hoc network play, gamers can engage in Co-op and Versus modes with friends, or simply trade items and weapons.
"Valhalla Knights 2 will carry on the legacy its predecessor established as a beloved game in any RPG player's library," remarked Ken Berry, Marketing and Sales at XSEED Games. "We appreciate this game being the first in our co-publishing partnership with Marvelous Entertainment as it will help to set the quality standard high for all future games coming out of this deal."
Marvelous Entertainment and XSEED Games will be announcing additional titles under this co-publishing deal in the near future, as well as more specific game details and assets for Valhalla Knights 2.

The next Call of Duty game may not delve back into familiar WWII territory after all, as Activision CEO Mike Griffith reveals that the fifth game will take the series to a "new military theatre".
Despite rumours and strong reactions that the series would be returning to the over-used WWII era, Griffith revealed: "We'll bring the intensity of the recent Call of Duty: Modern Warfare title to a new military theatre to engage our significantly larger user base which nearly doubled last year as new users came into the franchise," according to Gamespot.
Another modern setting would get our vote (we're bored of those crappy 1940s guns and sluggish propeller-powered planes).
Griffith also revealed that the next James Bond game, in development as Treyarch, will use the CoD 4 engine, which is good news. The first good 007 game since GoldenEye? Maybe, just maybe...

Sony says that its Gran Turismo racing series has notched up 50 million sales across all PlayStation formats (except PSP though) in ten years and precisely four months.
"Initially, Gran Turismo was an 'alternative' racing game, kind of an outsider in the genre," said series creator Kazunori Yamauchi. Kaz to his mates. "And we made it thinking that it would be okay as long as it reached out to 'the select few who would agree with us.'
"So this figure, 50 million units, is simply astounding. If you go to a game store and look for a particular package, and pay for it at the cash register, though the time may be very brief, it still takes at least three minutes or so." Stay with him...
"It's simply mind boggling and hard to believe that this has been repeated 50 million times all around the world in the last ten years. I would really like to thank all the fans who have supported the Gran Turismo series over the years, for all their passion and love of the game. We'd like to continue making every effort to create cutting edge, high quality games, so that we don't disappoint anyone's expectations."

via Games Industry
Sony Computer Entertainment Europe president David Reeves has admitted that the PlayStation Portable is suffering from a lack of new games titles in the region.
Although the company has its Go! Explore sat-nav application, and cross-platform functions with the PlayStation 3, at its recent PlayStation Day the only new PSP games mentioned during the hour and a half presentation were Echocrome and Buzz! Quiz Master.
"Hand on heart, would we like more PSP games? Yes, we would. We really would," said Reeves speaking exclusively to GamesIndustry.biz.
Publisher support for Sony's handheld appears to be diminishing in Europe. A recent showcase of forthcoming titles from Sierra did not reveal any new PSP titles, despite the company still developing games for the 8 year-old PlayStation 2.
And release schedules from major publishers show only a handful of big licences such as Lego Indiana Jones and WWE Smackdown! Vs RAW in 2008, with PSP exclusives all but absent.
Although support for the handheld may appear thin in the West, sales of the PSP in Japan have rocketed this year, with over 1.6 million units sold.
Sony continues to introduce different coloured models to the market with its Blume series, while titles such as Capcom's Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G are dominating the market.
"It's phenomenal, absolutely phenomenal," said Reeves of the Japanese performance.
As more Japanese developers look to follow the success of Capcom on the system, Reeves promised that locally developed titles are also likely to make it over to the West.
"We've seen in the last six months that because of the success of the PSP in Japan many Japanese developers have got some absolutely phenomenal games. They're not Monster Hunter 2G or things like that, but they are in development and we'll see them over here," he added.

Bobthetouriste, member forums PSPGen has just delivered the first version of his first homebrew. This game, outlandish in appearance, is actually a very good puzzle that will make more crazy one. The game is coded language lua (which you can learn about devsgen.)
The goal is very simple (well, everything is on ...), you must place the numbers 1 to 100 in a grid, you can place the number 1 anywhere on the grid, the following numbers for you will need to use your neurons. The following numbers may be placed only 3 cases where a horizontal to vertical from the box on which you raised the number. The yellow boxes show where you play your shot, boxes red boxes are accessible only to the coup. This means that the next time you'll be able to go there, they will be black (End of part ...)

New from Yan2Yan
Here is a class C + + to simplify the management of language files in C + +. It is already very comprehensive, and allows, among others, running a default language ...
Download:
languageManager - Sample
languageManager - Class C + +
The sample is sufficient to understand the functioning of this class, but I will explain a few things ...
How do we serve?
1. It includes the header (# include "languageManager.h")
2. It creates the object (languageManager Language
3. It configures the load
There are several things to load: title, which is a table that depends on the number of files languages (there will be no need to recharge), extraData which is a table in 2 dimensions which depends on the number of files and languages of imposed a number (we will not need to recharge), and text, which is a table that depends on the number imposed (on the recharge whenever you change language).
Why have thought so? extraData title and are variables that will be required all the time, but text will depend on the language chargéé (to save memory)
Code:
Langue.configure ( ". / Language /", "", 100, "def", "#");
Langue.configureDataToLoad (0, 1, NEXT, 1, NEXT, MAX);
In the first line shows the directory where the files will be stored languages, the file name to be created containing the file name default language (by default this file is called "default.lang"), maximum number of lines to load (the famous number that is imposed on text and extraData), the extension of files languages (here "def") and the character through which begin comentaires.
In the second row, said:
-- A line which must begin loading the title (0 = first line, second line 1 = ...), then the number of lines to charge for title;
-- A line which must begin loading extraData (0 = first line, second line = 1 ... NEXT = line following the end of the title), then the number of lines to charge for extraData;
-- A line which must begin loading text (0 = first line, second line = 1 ... NEXT = line following the end of extraData), then the number of lines to charge for the text (MAX = charge as much lines as possible to limit the number imposed earlier).
4. It is a research file languages and are charged with title and extraData: Langue.search ();
5. We support the language default Langue.loadDefault (), this function returns 1 if successful loading and 0 in case of non-loading (ie that the missing file is not created or that the file default language does not exist).
6. If the default load has not worked, it creates a menu choice of language then we support the language (for example: Langue.load (Langue.config-1)
7. It may also allow accents, cédilles and others (thank you dridri85 and Akabane87):
Quote:
Langue.accentueTitle ();
Langue.accentueExtraData ();
Langue.accentueText ();
8. To access the data loaded, it was as follows:
Code:
Langue.text [i]
Langue.extraData [i] [j]
Langue.title [i]
(replacing i and j by good values)
Well, I fatigue, I will stop there, to better understand, please refer to the sample.
PS: it works well

If you've got a PSP-2000 and a hankering for some VoIP on the run, Sony has finally brought its Skype-friendly PSP headset to US retail. Unfortunately, it won't work with those original fatty PSPs, and at $30 you've gotta ask yourself how much you'll really be using it for -- the original price was set at $20. That said, it's undoubtedly the easiest way to get up and running with Skype and in-game voice chat on the PSP, since it used to require two separate accessories to pull it off.

Today Sierra announced it is prepping a videogame tie-in for this summer's Mummy sequel, The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. The game is being developed by Eurocom (Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End) for the Wii and PlayStation 2, and for the Nintendo DS by A2M (Spiderman: Friend or Foe DS). The latest Mummy film, produced by Universal Pictures, stars Brendan Fraser returning to his hero role and Jet Li as the evil Dragon Emperor.
"The Mummy is one of the most distinctive and expansive franchises in Universal's portfolio, and there is inherent gameplay in the property," said Bill Kispert, Vice President and General Manager, Interactive, Universal Pictures Digital Platforms Group. "The new film amps up the action, introduces a ruthless new villain and takes our heroes to incredible new locations. We are thrilled to bring all these attributes to life in this game."
Players will step into the shoes of Rick O'Connell (Fraser) and his son, Alex, as they travel to Chinese tombs and Himalayan mountain tops. Gameplay will be a mix of combat, puzzles, and hieroglyphic decryption.
The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor is set to hit game consoles July 22.

2K Sports, the sports publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTWO), and Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc., today announced the next iteration of the wildly popular baseball franchise, MLB Power Pros 2008, scheduled to be available for Wii home video game system from Nintendo and PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system this July, as well as Nintendo DS later this fall. As the highest-rated and top-selling baseball title in Japan, MLB Power Pros was available in North America for the first time last year. Its comedic visual appeal of miniature Major League Baseball player models has attracted a dedicated following through its easy-to-use controls and addictively fun gameplay experience.
"We're thrilled to partner with Konami again, and with the Baseball season now in full swing, we're proud to offer our fans a refreshingly smart and exciting baseball game that is easily accessible for all ages," said Christoph Hartmann, president of 2K. "Baseball enthusiasts will appreciate the variety of newly added features, intuitive game modes and improved overall feel, and we look forward to hitting one out of the park this season with MLB Power Pros 2008."
With over ten different exciting game modes including the traditional Practice, Exhibition, League and Home Run Challenge modes, MLB Power Pros 2008 will bring fans closer to the action than ever before. Gamers also get the opportunity to act as general manager and control the destiny of their own franchise in Season mode, or engage in entertaining role-playing story modes such as Success and MLB Life modes. As general manager, gamers can trade, sign free agents, coordinate practice schedules, purchase new equipment, call up and send down players from the Minor Leagues, along with other management options to bring in fans, win playoff games and eventually, earn the title of World Series champion.
In Success mode, fans can participate in a story-based career of rising players in the Double-A Minor League system trying to improve their baseball skills and make an impression on baseball scouts while also having to balance various situations in their personal lives. Through a variety of amusing training and game challenges, players who complete Success mode will also be able to take their created player files into MLB Life as well, or also play as either an existing Major League Baseball player in Dream Mode, or start as a rookie in Major League Career mode. As a new feature in MLB Power Pros 2008, MLB Life is another story-based mode that will allow fans the possibility to simulate the exciting life and experience of being a Major League Baseball player over the course of a 20-year career. While continuing to play in games through the regular baseball season, players will also participate in a number of realistic situations such as signing contracts, purchasing houses and cars, making charitable donations, building up relationships with friends and teammates, picking up hobbies and much more.
With easy, pick-up-and-play hitting and pitching controls, along with intuitive Wii functionality, other new features in MLB Power Pros 2008 include support of 40-man rosters, change of ball speed, adjustment of defensive shifts, along with a real-time bullpen check functionality for substituting pitchers. MLB Power Pros 2008 will also support the option for players to import their Wii-based characters, Miis, from their Wii or Wii Remote to become part of the exciting action!
MLB Power Pros 2008, developed by Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc., is not yet rated by the ESRB, and will be available for Wii and the PlayStation 2 system this July, as well as Nintendo DS later this fall.

On May 16 - that's next Friday - you'll be able to pick up PS2 and Xbox 360 versions of PES 2008 on the cheap(ish).
Both iterations are going budget, you see, the Xbox 360 version to retail at £24.99 and the PS2 version at £19.99. Konami calls the trip to the bargain bin for the duo "the essential summer signing".
PES 2008 was received reasonably well by critics - well, apart from the PS3 version, which Pro Evo creator Sebass himself has admitted was "far from what we wanted".

A demo of much-delayed shooter Haze has now been added to the PlayStation Store.
It was added on Tuesday, actually, but we forgot to tell you. We're wearing one of those spiky punishment belts to make up for it.
The Haze demo lets you romp around that sun-drenched Salva region, described as "the only place on earth where you can blow a stranger's head off with a jolly smile".
Those smiles can be shared with up to three friends in online co-op, or offline with just one friend in ye olde splitte-screene.
Haze will be released exclusively for PS3 on 23rd May.
