Konami has announced plans to release a Sumo Digital-developed remake of GTI Club on the PlayStation Network this November.
Called GTI Club+, the new game adopts the 1996 coin-op's open racing environments and spruces them up with 720p graphics at 60 frames-per-second.
There will be a great many vintage and modern vehicles to race around in, apparently, and you will be assisted by Sat Nav, a new rear-view mirror and fancy 5.1 surround sound - including a remix of the arcade machine's Atjazz music.
There are Free Run, Arcade and Bomb Tag modes, support for eight-player online racing, and worldwide rankings to keep track of your achievements.
Apparently the game even supports EyeToy HD, although we don't know why. Perhaps you can capture people's souls.
Konami has yet to confirm a price for GTI Club+, but you can expect to see it in November and you can expect it to look like it does in our GTI Club+ screenshot gallery.

Daimion Pinnock, producer at SCEA, has told the US PlayStation blog that WipEout HD is on track for release autumn. Though he stopped short of actually telling us when in autumn it might get the green light.
"Hello, readers. Daimion here and I'm excited today to release some details on WipEout HD, coming to PSN this fall," he says. "We've been mum on WipEout HD recently - keeping many of you in serious suspense, I know - but that doesn't mean we haven't been cranking away at bringing you an awesome anti-gravity racing game in 1080p HD!"
You may remember that we brought you the news that the game was failing epilepsy tests so much it had to be reworked. Catch up on that story here.
"WipEout HD will feature a selection of the best tracks taken from previous versions of this iconic franchise that have been reworked to show-off the graphical capabilities of PS3. But don't take my word for it, if you want to see how good WipEout HD in 1080p and at 60 frames-per-second, check out the video."
Sony has told Eurogamer that Warhawk expansion Operation Fallen Star will be released on 28th August.
The third game add-on will add infantry jetpacks and centre around the Tau Crater, where a Chernovan warship crashed a very long time ago. Chernovans, then, are eager to salvage the wreckage, whereas rival faction the Eucadians want to steal it for themselves.
That setting will offer ten new battlefields for you and your friends to fight over.
There's no price for Fallen Star, but we expect the expansion to sell for GBP 3.99, which is the same as both Operation Omega Dawn and Operation Broken Mirror went for. Incidentally, both of those can be picked up for the combo cost of GBP 4.99.
Operation Fallen Star is yet to be dated, but we will let you know when we hear something.
Warhawk fans can also look forward to the new 1.5 patch on 27th August, introducing Trophies and a host of other improvements.

Bethesda has announced that the release date for their post-apocalyptic RPG title Fallout 3 is October 28th. The European release is three days later on October 31st. All versions of the game will be released this day, including the Collector's Edition and the uber-super Survival Edition. We added a couple of new screenshots in the gallery below, along with some concept art. To some of us, this is one of the biggest third-party titles to come out this year. We can't wait!
So what exactly are the improvements made to the PSP-3000's newly upgraded LCD screen? According to a report by Engadget Japan, the screen is more colorful, has a stronger contrast ratio, and to the praise of gamers everywhere, has a faster response time. The official stats? Color gamut is twice as wide. The contrast ratio is improved 5 times. The response time has doubled. For gamers that have complained about the PSP-1000 and 2000's slow response time (which creates a ghosting effect in certain games), this is certainly good news.

Back at E3, Star Ocean: First Departure and Star Ocean: Second Evolution were both announced for North America. Since then, our European readers may have wondered if the titles would see release across the Atlantic. Luckily, Star Ocean actually will be crossing ... an ocean into Europe and releasing this October. However, only First Departure has been announced with a wide open October date. North Americans should still look out for October 21, 2008 for SO1 both titles and January 6, 2009 for SO2.
When it was a cell phone game, no one knew what it was about. Then it became a PSP game, and still no one knew any details about it. Finally, the project director of The 3rd Birthday, Hajime Tabata, has revealed some facts about the third game in the Parasite Eve franchise. Square is cooperating with another development studio on the game, but he refuses to divulge which studio.
Unlike its predecessors, The 3rd Birthday will be a "true third person shooter," but Tabata notes that it will not the same as Dirge (thank you!) of Cerberus: FFVII. Some sort of wireless gameplay may be implemented, but it was not specified whether it will be infrastructure or ad-hoc.
The game's scenario and design are currently almost complete. Our curvy heroine Aya Brea will utilize an ability called overdrive that allows her to "cross time." This power lets her to fight and eliminate the Twisted, who are the new antagonists of the game. No release date is set, but it sounds like we'll see the game over in Japan some time next year.

It's been known for some time now that LittleBigPlanet will be having Trophies, but we haven't actually seen them yet ... well, until now that is. The video above witnesses the reluctant unlocking of four Bronze Trophies and a Silver one during a gameplay demonstration at Leipzig. For all the unduly converted Trophy junkies out there, these Trophies are titled: Forager, Sticky Fingers, Treasure Hunter, 2x Multiplier, and Booty Master (this is the silver one).
Personally, Booty Master takes the trophy naming prize for us. Is there a Trophy we can give to a Trophy? Anyway, knowing that the game is due out by the end of October, this little bit of info comes as a pleasant early taste of a fresh new accolade hunt that's soon to come.
[Thanks, Farmer_Steve!]

Just like Europe, SingStar will be getting an expansion disc here in the States. The disc offers the same SingStar experience as the original, but offers a different track list featuring 30 new songs. For newcomers to the series, this is a different way of getting the full PS3 SingStar experience. However, series regulars will have to swap discs if they want to have all the songs from Volume 1 and Volume 2: there's no way of ripping content from one disc to another, a la Rock Band.
SingStar is meant to be a constantly evolving platform, and we're assuming any new features added to America's Volume 2 disc will be applied via patch across all other SingStar games. For example, the US version of SingStar received a patch that contained all the new features added to the European Volume 2 game. One of the most exciting features for the upcoming expansion is the addition of Trophies -- exactly how that will work in conjunction with the SingStore is anyone's guess.

What? You mean you don't want a Kratos sackboy from GameStop? Oh, you want something physical you can hold in your hands? Then we'd recommend the LittleBigPlanet pouch. The pouch is designed to fit a PS3 Blu-ray case. If you are interested, pick up one of these by preordering your copy of LittleBigPlanet from GameCrazy. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like there is an online option, which means you'll have to head to a physical GameCrazy location. Check out the nearest one in your area with this store locator.

Announced yesterday, the PSP-3000 will be the third major iteration of Sony's PlayStation Portable line. So let's take a good look at it! Below are galleries showing the two colours that'll be available in North America: Piano Black and Mystic Silver. As you can see in the pic above, there's a third colour - Pearl White - but that one's only for Europe and Japan. For now, anyways.

We've been quietly updating our Trophy Portal almost every day. There are so many games that are getting Trophy support, and we thought you'd be quite annoyed if we told you about every single one of them on the front page. With the help of PS3Trophies.org, we can confirm that a significant number of third party developers are adding Trophies to their games. Here's a list of just a few:
- Aliens: Colonial Marines
- Borderlands
- Call of Duty: World at War
- EndWar
- FarCry 2
- HAWX
- Penny Arcade Adventures
- Project Origin
- Quantum of Solace
- Saints Row 2
Remember to check our constantly-updated Trophy Portal to see what new additions there are. Also, note that our Trophy Guides for PixelJunk Eden and Uncharted are just a few days away.

Yeah, you read that right. Kratos will be a bonus downloadable character for Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds on PS3. Available on the PS Store tomorrow, he'll be purchasable for $2. It's good to see Kratos venting out his anger in a slightly less than M rated manner.
You should know by now that one of our most anticipated games this holiday season is Sega's upcoming PS3-exclusive SPRG, Valkyria Chronicles. Yet another English language trailer has been distributed at Leipzig, and while it doesn't reveal much new about the game, it does get the hype rolling yet again. The innovative mix of real-time movement and turn-based combat will have hungry PS3-owning JRPG fans craving for more.
