So after a long time and a lot of work, Wolfenstein 3D V5.0 is finally here!
Incase you were wondering what happened to v4.9, well it was only released to beta tester Da1writer, and thus I skipped a public version and just went to 5.0.
I have made a hell of a lot of changes, fixes and other stuff to this version. I would also like to say a huge thanks to Chilly Willy Aka JF for all his help on the version too. Without him the sound and music especially wouldn't be like it is today.
Sound and Music are now both perfect. Just saying that is like Music to my ears (pun intended). Saving and loading is also now instant, and actually works. No more save corrupted messages Thanks Chilly Willy and WolfGL
Crashing bugs are now gone, I myself worked really hard on these and am pretty confident they are gone forever
TV out is pretty cool too
So enough blabbering here is the changelog :
So I really hope you all enjoy the new and final release that I Zack will be making of Wolf3D. I am delighted that It turned out to be as amazing as I wanted v5.0 to be, so you can now finally enjoy all versions of Wolf3D how they were meant to be played.
Enjoy! & Stay tuned for my next port. I may give you a clue as to what it is later
Note : If you use Wolf 3d Floppy version files, please use the patch below before you run the game or it wont work. Just copy and replace the files in the patch folder with the ones you have already.
ONLY DO THIS IF YOU USE THE FLOPPY VERSION FILES OF WOLF3D FULL VERSION. IT IS NOT NEEDED FOR ANY OTHER VERSION.

Bumuckl has released a new version of his OSK for the PSP, heres the release details;
This ain't no real homebrew, it's just a powerful LUA "library" for LUA developers!
BermudaOSK is a virtual keyboard, actually developed for
Bermuda CS 9 (before version 9, the FuzzieBoard by Fuzzie360 has been used)
and Dow! - Develop on the go, programmed in LUA and meant as a
LUA Library for developers.
BermudaOSK has lots of advantages, not just towards the original SonyOSK,
but also towards the other (LUA) OSK's:
-it is very fast and very easy to use
-does not just contain simple symbols,
but also lots of special symbols
(small letters, capital letters, special symbols, numbers, ...)
-very easy to implement into your own script
-got a nice design(which can be changed manually)
How do you implement BermudaOSK into your own script?
The subfolder "Lib" contains the file bermudaOSK.blx and a folder called "gfx".
Copy both into the folder where your mainscriptfile is located.
At the beginning of your script, you have to include the library file:
dofile("bermudaOSK.blx")
Then the OSK can be executed everywhere in the script:
bermudaOSK()
The OSK-function returns a string as result, so it's meaningful to call
the function like this:
yourtextvar = bermudaOSK()
Have fun, Bumuckl

It seems the exploit to play PS3 Games off the hard drive is coming along some more, hopefully a real and major breakthrough for the Homebrew community will arrive soon, also remember DCEmu is against any piracy on the PS3 or indeed any console, but any hacking exploits must be reported on.

hoping for a PS3 price cut in the near future better not hold their breaths. A Sony spokesperson confirmed on Friday that the company had no plans right now to give you another deal on the machine, and anyone hoping for that kind of news at Leipzig will be sorely disappointed. Given that they slashed the price less than a year ago, this shouldn't be too surprising. Though PS3 sales are still trailing behind the Wii, it's relatively recent discount put it neck to neck for second place with the cheaper Xbox 360. [

A recent issue of Famitsu revealed a startling fact about the upcoming demo for Final Fantasy XIII -- the playable preview will apparently last longer than the film that it is packaged with, Final Fantasy: Advent Children Complete. For those of you keeping score at home -- the original Advent had a runtime of 101 minutes. Assuming this length will only increase with the director's cut of the film means Square-Enix's eagerly anticipated demo could last longer than two hours.
To put that in perspective, here are a few things that the demo (which the same Famitsu article revealed will cover the very beginning of XIII) will likely last longer than: an expeditious playthrough of Portal, the Anglo-Zanzibar War, an international soccer match (barring any lengthy penalties), and the celebrity status of Lou Bega. (Who? Exactly.)

We're not exactly sure if it was supposed to be a secret, considering we've seen his ginger likeness in media for the game before, but Capcom recently revealed a few Street Fighter IV screenshots featuring the series' crimson-haired big bad, Akuma. Apparently, he only rears his nefarious head when an arcade player is doing a little too good, and hasn't fed the machine any precious quarters in a while. While he may seem like SFIV's official toll collector, the video posted after the jump proves that he can, in fact, be whooped up upon -- and that he's also a Hadoken-spamming jerk.

Sony is readying a new strategic effort to establish the PSP as the best portable movie viewing device. With nearly thirteen million PSP hardware units sold, some analysts think that it may be easier for Sony to generate new interest and momentum in UMD video. Video Business reports, “Sony is shaving new release list prices to $9.99 to $14.99,” which is about half the price of UMD movies released in the past. Sony is also promising to do the bulk of the work with UMDs: management of licensing, manufacture, distribution, marketing and selling the studios’ films for them for the PSP. Expect to see at least five to seven studio-licensed UMD’s each quarter; MTV is already on board and has seen relatively good success with this new plan.
“We want to provide a legal offering from the studios, … and it’s an easier conversation to have with them now,” said John Koller, director of hardware marketing at Sony Computer Entertainment America. “There’s a lot of positive momentum with the PSP.”
Video Business is also reporting that they hope to see more “impulse purchases” from teenage males with this new pricing scheme, as previous UMD movie pricing was almost on par with the price of a full DVD.
“The biggest issue with UMD was the lack of creating for a targeted demo,” said Koller. “When we first launched, it was a difficult sale. I don’t think it’s a big stretch to say that a 16-year-old doesn’t have a lot of discretionary income. … We were offering UMDs that were more expensive than DVDs at the time. And we want content that is in line with what the demo is asking for, action and comedy … not romantic dramas.”

EP has released a new version of the Launchelf app for the PS2, heres whats new:
LaunchELF v4.24 (2008.08.15)
-Fixed a bug preventing unmounting of VMC devices for some cases
NB: Though VMC usage should no longer be able to interfere with normal HDD access, it may still lock up in some VMC operations. This VMC driver is still to be considered a beta version, though the uLE release is otherwise stable. You should therefore not use VMC operations without backup of each VMC file used.
LaunchELF v4.23 (2008.08.15)
-Fixed a bug that made it possible to select uLE configurable files (drivers, skins, etc) on VMC
-Fixed a bug preventing psuPaste from restoring PSU files to gamesave folders on VMC
-Restructured the HDD mountpoint usage to eliminate conflicts between VMC and other browser needs. Conflict should now only be possible between ftp server and VMC browsing, so these activities should never be combined (user responsibility)
-Enforced 32 character limit for vmc object names in FileBrowser (same as on MC)
-Modified VMC mounting to last only throughout a FileBrowser session. Leaving the FileBrowser automatically unmounts any mounted VMC files
-Fixed a VMC driver bug causing it to consider a VMC to be mounted even after a failure to do so due to unformatted content

Criterion plans to release Burnout Paradise as a downloadable PSN title this autumn.
The game will be cheaper at USD 30, according to the PlayStation Blog, and comes bundled with all of the free DLC releases so far. This includes Bogart, Cagney, and upcoming Davis updates.
The PlayStation Blog makes explicit reference to the "US PlayStation Store", so we've asked Sony to clarify whether there are similar plans afoot for Europe.
Criterion continues to expand and nurture Burnout Paradise online, living up its "always changing" slogan. Motorbikes and day/night cycles are planned for the near future, with planes and additional islands on the slate for further down the line.
Burnout Paradise was released back in January on Xbox 360 and PS3. The game no longer features in the UK All-Formats Top 40, but does, at least, hang on at 36 in the Xbox 360 chart.
Head over to our Burnout Paradise review to find out more.
