Were you recently diagnosed with a severe case of sanity? We've got your physician-approved prescription posted after the break -- a triple dose of advertisements for Saints Row 2, with commentary provided by esteemed Shakespearian thespian, Gary Busey. We highly doubt that Busey was provided with a script in these videos -- when the Silver Bullet star asks, "Who hasn't wanted to kill someone with a garden gnome," he's probably not reading from a script. His addled mind ponders that very question two or three times a day.
If you're confident you can look into the heart of lunacy and come out unaffected, check the ads out after the jump. Even if you don't care about the game, we're sure you'll enjoy trying to pinpoint the moment Busey stops promoting the game, and starts having honest-to-god Vietnam flashbacks (video NSFW).

I have released a major new version of ExultPSP(slim Version)
Heres the release details:
Gannt the Bard sent word from beyond the veil that Captain Stokes, famed for plundering Origin, has leaked a new version of ExultPSP from the comfort of his haunt in the Knight's Forest!
It's been a while, but after much work and testing, here it is. A SLIM version of Exult with support for Ultima 7: Part 2 - Serpent Isle. The improvements are vast, some documented (see the screenshots), some not (TV-OUT). Phantom Fighter's computer blew up, which significantly delayed development time as source code was lost in the debacle. This version has been tested thoroughly, both games, and both addons are 100% working. Please enjoy, and share your experience with us!

fableboss1 young encoder fourteen years old, just send us a new homebrew: PSN Messenger.
As its name indicates, this is a kind of messenger, not a mode wireless infrastructure but in ad-hoc!
A distance of 30 metres to send and receive messages is necessary.
It is also necessary that the two PSP concerned by exchanging messages have the homebrew to receive messages.

I found the original news of this Nes emulator yesterday ( funnily enough so did many other sites after i posted) and today Dark Show has changed the name and released 2 new versions of his renamed Nes emulator for the PS3.
Heres whats new:
PS3-NES u0.1
Updates:
+menu code cleaned
+menu file sizes now take longest file name to determine positioning
+filesize now shown in KB
+file selection color now lined up properly with filename
+top bar now fitted to top (not jsut below top)
+memory usage move slightly to the left (so you can see it all)
+new screen mode added to the green button
!+file scrolling
-image handeling (dont need it, ps3 comes with it)
-directories (only temporary)
PS3-Nes u0.2b Released
Updates:
+(cool) new name change - ps3filer is unconsistant with the functionality of my (re)releases
+2nd controller support, although both controllers can control each character the same.
|-(activated using the blue button for compatibility)
+change file selected color from yellow to green (i hate yellow)
+press <- or -> to skip 5 files either way (in menu)
-no sound yet
Future plans(so far):
+look farther into sound (-not looking good atm)
+look into savestates (if not local, make a remote savestate server)
+look into ps3 controller detection (aka, controller 1-4)

Sony's Life project for the PS3 is set to revolutionise the "get your news from a spinning globe on a console" market. And it was meant to do it this month, too. Now, it won't be, Sony announcing that due to some paperwork issues (ie some wrangling over rights with news agencies) it won't be launching in August. Instead, they're asking we all "hold tight just a bit longer", and are attempting to stem our rising fury at the delays by letting us know the service will be free, it'll launch directly from the XMB and can even work in conjunction with Folding@Home.

Weren't sure how serious Sony is about getting everyone hyped about LittleBigPlanet? On the heels of news that LBP's Sackboy is being positioned as the new (fabric) face of PS3 comes a Best Buy blitz of lovely postcards extolling the game's many virtues to customers who'd otherwise look at it and say, "Huh?"
The crew at PS3 Fanboy has the whole lot of them scanned in all their cute-yet-informative glory. Give them a look!

We knew that as we came closer to the games' respective release dates, the feud between Harmonix/EA's Rock Band 2 and Neversoft/Activision's Guitar Hero: World Tour would reach critical mass. In the quarrel's latest smack talk salvo, Guitar Hero director Brian Bright discussed rival Harmonix's cymbal attachments for their sequel's drum kit peripheral with Eurogamer, providing some highly quotable zingers -- and buddy, we don't mean snack cakes.
Bright condemns Rock Band 2's cymbals for being "dual-mapped", meaning they'll share the functions of one of the pads of the standard kit, making the attachments somewhat unneccessary. He also dismisses them for being a panicked copycat reaction to World Tour's cymbal-equipped kit -- based on the familiar gameplay we've seen from the latest installment in the Guitar Hero franchise, we assume Neversoft would be the unparalleled experts on matters duplicative.

Following a retail leak earlier this week, Nippon Ichi has started speaking officially about Prinny: Ore ga Shuujinkou de Iinsuka?.
This new PSP title, whose name translates roughly to Prinny: Is it Okay if I'm the Main Character?, stars Prinny, a mascot of sorts from the Disgaea strategy series. This isn't a strategy game, though. Nippon Ichi describes it as its first action game. The title will feature 2D side scrolling action with the promise of lots of replay value.
The storyline hints that the game will feature Disgaea cameos other than just Prinny. Etona, Prinny's master and also a Disgaea character, has sent Prinny off to find the ultimate sweets. Standing in Prinny's way are some tough demons!
While not mentioned in Nippon Ichi's official announcement, the retailer report from earlier in the week mentioned that the game will make use of the PSP's wireless functionality. Players will be able to record their play sessions and send them to friends. In addition, Nippon Ichi plans on offering maps and bosses as downloads.
Also mentioned by the retailer is a pre-order bonus. Nippon Ichi will give pre-orderers (this is for Japan only at the moment) an original soundtrack CD created by Disgaea series composer Tenpei Sato. The CD will include vocal tracks.
Nipon Ichi has opened up a teaser website for the game with a peculiar flash movie. The full site will open up on September 5.
As for the final game, a Japanese release is set for November 20.

News/release from dungeon
Hi friends coders!
After many months of work, I have the honour to present the first version of the Isometric Engine accompanied by his inseparable Isometric Collision Creator!
the Isometric Engine is a library in Lua which manages Isometrique collisions or "normal" 4 lines! More taken headache.
This library has been designed for the basic types of games RPGs with a main character who move. (but free to you to use it as you see fit)
Video of the Isometric Engine in action:
Everything is under GPL so you can change this library as you see fit, but under some conditions (for details see LICENCE.txt)
If I have time, I améliorerais.
In the meantime, here's the download link, a turoriel comes with the archive:
http://xtreamlua.com/users/dungeon/Package 20ICC% 20% +% 20IE% 20version0.1.rar
Credits:
-- Gamakitchi for its library Copy Paste
-- Soulkiller for its function as a collision between two sprites
-- For the creators of Luaplayer and Phoenix Game Engine!
-- I also thank kil80 and nono4012 for their tests
