Changes:
ESR public beta, revision 9b

* changed once again EE streams (Ape Escape 2, Gitaroo Man, maybe more)
* it doesn't matter anymore if ESR is launched directly from FMCB or through uLE (KYA: Dark Lineage, V-Rally 3, maybe some more games)

* added synchronous mode and media type spoofing for EE (accessible only by GUI version)
* some minor changes to make future compiling and management easier (also necessary to simplify GUI version a lot)

Atari has released a list of the changes to be made in the PS3 version of Alone in the Dark, not due out until November this year.
With the 360 version having scored a disappointing average score of 58, Atari will probably be hoping these PS3 tweaks can improve on that.
Here's the full official list:
- Full 360 camera control: enhanced camera controls allows complete freedom of the camera and better handling of first person view camera movement for even more immersive gameplay;
- Fine-tuned controls: quicker and smoother reactivity of the hero's movements in third person view make for more rapid movements in nail-biting situations;
- Inventory system more accessible: more logical jacket inventory system with the ability to combine objects using only the D-pad, and more fluid hero movement makes item selection a breeze.
- More tips: players will get all the help they need to get through every situation and get the most out of the game;
- Spectral Vision tuning: a tutorial explains the need to burn roots in order to gain spectral vision and difficulty tuning means less spectral vision is required to reach the end of the game;
- Improved car dynamics and handling: car handling has been tuned to make driving a car a walk in the park in every situation, including increased suspension and reduced drift;
- 59th Street level tuning: one of the game's most exciting sequences just got better. 59th Street has been tweaked for a more satisfying race against the fissure with difficulty tuning, an added checkpoint at Columbus Circle and clear voice directions given by Sarah;
- Brand new thrilling action sequence: an exclusive new sequence has been added in Episode 6 for even more pace and variety of gameplay in the episode.

Nippon Ichi is busy making more Disgaea for PSP following the runaway critical success of tactical RPG Hour of Darkness.
The catchy title "Prinny: Ore ga shyujinkou de iinsuka" (translated to "Prinny: Is It Really OK That I'm the Main Character") will appear in Japan this November, according to Dengeki Online (translated by GameSpot).
Prinnies are little penguin-like things, and this spin-off has them platforming from left to right on some day-long 10-stage mission to find Etna's sweets. Lazy.
There's no word on the game appearing outside of Japan for the moment.
We're also awaiting the fate of PS3 game Disgaea 3 in Europe, plus DS outing Disgaea: Hour of Darkness. We're badgering European distributor KOEI.
Head over to our Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness review to see what all the fuss is about.

Beast Rider is the next installment in the Golden Axe series and we got this new trailer for it. While the game technically looks very good I am going to have to go with McWhertor on this one; the game looks, well, brown. Expect Golden Axe Beast Rider out on Xbox 360 and PS3 later this year.
