So some of you may have wondered where I disappeared to
I just have been really tired when I get home and busy with work. Other more real life stuff has been my focus for the last while too, and whilst that is going to continue I will be updating Wolf whenever I get a chance and making a new release when I see fit.
The save/load bug is gone, and the audio speed should be fixed too. When I say "should", i haven't been able to test my code revision as yet. Something is up with my toolchain set up or I am missing a lib or something. As whenever I try and launch Wolf the PSP just freezes as crashes.
I haven't looked into it until now because of the real life stuff. I am going to take a look tonight and see what is up.
Then a release should be made (with sound at proper tempo and save/load fix + Weird select difficulty bug) tomorrow all being well.
So just wanted to post this to let you all know I haven't disappeared and will be releasing an update shortly.
Also I have decided that I won't be making v5.1 my final release. I will just keep updating it for the foreseeable future, until there is nothing to update I guess.
Thanks.

Okay i was really getting pissed when every time i tried using nethost or usb host it never worked on windows vista. So i made a new revision. I didnt change the name at the top because tyranid deserves most of the credit i just did a quick edit.
But anyways heres the screen when i use regular usb host.
If its not clear it says some crap like bind: operation not permitted.
And heres what yo will get on my revision.
If it isnt clear it says bind:address already in use (because i was using it.)
Changelog.
IT HAS BETTER SUPPORT FOR WINDOWS VISTA. LOL
And thats about it but make sure when the pop up comes up you click unblock or it will not work.

News/release from Nielkie
This is an unofficial clone of "Ball Revamped 4: Amplitude" by jmtb02 studios (jmtb02.com)
Play the original game at www.jmtb02.com/flash/ballrevamped4.htm
They though of it,
They deved it,
it was great
Installation:
Copy the "Ball ReRevamped 4" folder to "PSP/GAME" or "PSP/GAME150" on your PSP.
Notes:
This clone uses RIPPED media from the original flash game. They were initially just placeholders, but then this project died and I wanted to get it out. Sorry John Cooney, please don't sue.
Since this still uses the old luaplayer 0.16 for speed, it requires the 1.5 kernel. If you want, you could try running it with a modded luaplayer, but it probably won't run full-speed.
There are only 29 levels, and there is no saving or level codes. As I said, this never got finished.
If people are going to start sharing levels, be careful on which levels you run. Since they're straight dofiles, they could potentially harm your files and your PSP. (Though theoretically the worst they could do is delete files on your MS)
Since about 90% of the code was written when I was a lua n00b, it is messy, inefficient and organised.
You can use whatever you want from the code for whatever you want, but I would appreciate you not bytecoding it and giving me a shout as to what it will be used for.

Buunyan has released yet another PS3 BD-J Homebrew Game, this man is single handedly supporting the PS3 Scene
Wareuchu looks to be a Space Invadors Clone but hey free games are free games, as with any BD-J release any firmware of PS3 can play so even if you have the newest firmware this type of homebrew is safe.

According to Gameplayer recently, different PSP games studios have quit the PSP and given the dev kit's back to Sony, I think this is just down to hype and price, the Nintendo DS, is a good example of something that has been hyped and priced well, since it costed so little compared to the PSP since day 1 it still as that price factor, also the more people to buy it because of the price, the more people to hype it right? Well in terms of selling games console, the rich get richer, you just have to get the snowball rolling.
One of the studios to begin the slow, painful process of murdering the PSP is Ready At Dawn Studios, after they finished with God of War for the PSP they litterally packed up their bags and sent the PSP developers kit back to Sony.
This is happening simply because there aren't many people buying them, and the people who are buying them are just ripping them and sharing them over the internet (don't do this). Also there just isn't that many people with a PSP and the majority of people who have one are either bored of it and it's in a box somewhere, or they have illegally copied software to their PSP's.
So, that's what the future of the PSP, I wouldn't recommend buying one because it's really not worth it and you will get bored and the games will run out, however, for the DS, fun games are always comming out so you'll never get bored of it.
I hope this article helps you, and thanks for reading!

The Guitar Hero: Aerosmith demo has launched on the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 we're told.
The demo includes Sweet Emotion and Dream On by Aerosmith, as well as Walk this Way by Run DMC and I Hate Myself for Loving You by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts.
Say what you will about artist-themed Guitar Hero games, at least you're getting four free songs out of the deal.

Some dedicated hackers have finally managed to get the PSP and Microsoft's Xbox 360 Chatpad typing. There are still a few kinks to smooth out, but the hard part seems over, with l0rdnic0 managing a tiny bit of soldiering using a PSP remote cable and some software from the Open Keyboard Project. It's all still pretty nerdy at the moment, and we're still miffed at that Logic 3 getting cancelled way back when, but we suppose this will have to do.

hi all,
this is just to notify about the new progress i've been able to do since my last post in the same thread.
First, the script file size: :humped:
I won't release any Demo version.I think the game have considerly improved, and its time now to set up some campaigns for real playing.
What remains to do:
- Add Some Ai Features
- Add Ballista Units.i've recently got the sprites.
- Create some scenarios for campaign play
- Add Save/load Feature
- Clean Some Bugs, of course
- Add Some features and Taunts Sounds for units, just for fun.
- Clean The code and add Some comments, then if some coders are interested, they can understand the code quickly and make their own Mods.
What have been made since:
Concerning Ai:
On this fact, i'm really proud of the work...Think i'm really going towards an real Ai system..Ai Units are really independant. They Collect ressources they need for upgrade, their create their own soldiers and make them stand ground.Ai Peasants know how and when they have to repair any damaged building.
Virtual keyboard will be used to text some messages to your Opponent, and pay tributes.
Concerning Natural Ressources:
There's no worry about it.Natural ressources are quite infinite. It regenerates automatically.
Concernig Units:
I've planned to add ballista units for player's Civilization. Also, the important fact is that all type of units are improving depending on the current Age.When you upgrade, for instance, units move faster, work faster, and so on and so forth. This is the same for Ai Units.
Gameplay:
This is just about sounds.I've add a music Playlist, and it gives a nice look to the game.Only remains to find some taunts sounds for units, and add'em.
Now here is some sreenshots:
Release:
I haven't planned any date for this full release.it will take the time it needs. But i'll do my best to provide to the community something really interesting.

The PSP Show #78 - Flow [10:00m]: Hide Player | Play in Popup | Download
After Echochrome last week, it seems I am in the mood for calm zen-like games, so while I take a little bit more time to play with Secret Agent Clank (expect that to be reviewed in the next show) I’ve been chilling with the downloadable title ‘Flow,’ available from your regional Playstation Store. It’s mellow, chilled and can be played in many different styles. Listen to Show #78 to find out why I love this title.
There’s the latest news as well, with news on Wi-Fi access to the Store, Sony’s PSP sales in Japan, and a demo of Pipe Mania in advance of a late September release.

News/release from Hellcat
H E L L C A T s - R e c o v e r y - F l a s h e r
========================= ========================= =====
* recover semi-bricks * up-/downgrade your CFW *
* flash *ANY* CFW directely to 3.71-/4.01-M33 *
* backup/restore firmware flash (not NAND dump) *
all without Pandora
What is this? And why?
========================= ===============
Short version:
--------------------
Flashes a fresh M33 CFW (3.71, 4.01)
for recovering semi-bricks or to up-/downgrade CFW
does not use Pandora, runns from the recovery menu or the XMB
does not use (as in launch) the original Sony Updater (only extracts
all required files from the original .PBP)
runns fine on CFWs lower than 3.52-M33-3 - handy for upgrading older
FWs w/o the "need to go 3.52, then 3.52-3, then higher" odyssey :-)
runns fine from TimeMachine (3.40-OE on Fat and 3.60-M33 on Slim)
can backup the FW flash and restore selected parts (XMB theme,
settings, PSN activation, complete firmware)
Long Version?
--------------------
Can be found - aside many other infos and details - in the README
Does it work?
========================= ===============
This program has been tested by myself to successfully flash
a fresh 3.71-M33-4 and a 4.01-M33-2 on the following setups:
3.02-OE *) -- on Fat PSP
3.40-OE -- via TimeMachine on Fat PSP
3.60-M33 -- via TimeMachine on Slim PSP
3.71-M33 -- on Fat and Slim PSP
4.01-M33 -- on Fat and Slim PSP
4.01-M33 -- started via DDCv6 (kinda pointless to install a 4.01 then,
but hey, can't hurt to try )
1.50 -- on Fat PSP, using the 1.50 build of the flasher
^^ yes, that reads "one point five", and yes, I flashed directely to 4.01-M33-2 from there
*) Note: On lower CFWs (early OEs, mostly) you may get warnings during
3.71 installation regaring assignments of flash1:
This is normal under theese FW versions, no need to worry.
The program will disable formatting flash1 in that case, so
everything should be fine.
Changes on 1.32 since 1.30
fixed a flaw in the backup/restore functions that made them going haywire on CFWs of 3.52 and below when restoring a full firmware from a backup.
Now works fine on those lower CFWs as well
Well, this one is more "just for fun" than meant serious.... I made an additional build of the app, that runns on unpatched, virgin, original 1.50
Restoring and creating backups works as fine as installing a fresh M33 CFW (3.71/4.01) - YES, you can go from 1.50 STRAIGHT AND NONSTOP to a fresh 4.01-M33 this way!
The other way round also works: restoring a 1.50 from a backup when running on 4.01.
(this might also help people having installed the 1.50 AddOn and so unable to use the original build)

News/release from daaa57150:
Mega Drops 2 is a musical puzzle game, successor of Mega Drops.
The basics of the gameplay haven't changed:
A pair of blocks fall in a grid, and you have to place it so that 4 or more blocks of the same shape collide and explode. Lines appear from the ground and the goal is to resist until the end of the music.
To the old "normal" and "combo" blocks I added "shielded" and "joker" blocks, and new gameplay elements specific to each level so that they play differently.
I made 3 very different new levels, each available in 3 or 4 difficulty modes.
Other new thing appart the hundreds of bugs corrected and other little improvements: scores. Best scores and best combos are saved for each level (no online score for the moment, but it's on my todo list!)
Obviously, gfx are way better than in Mega Drops 1, because there is no more 4 colors limit.
You can watch a video here (spoiling though): http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=_CJCZooOd3M
How to play :
left/right : move the block to the left/right
down : blocks fall faster
L/R : teleport blocks as far as possible to the left/right through obstacles
X/O : rotate blocks
start : pause
select : screenshot, saved in the game folder under "./screens/"
X (menu) : selection
[ ] (menu) : cancel
A tutorial is available in the game to teach you the basics.
Download it here:
http://daaa57150.free.fr/MegaDrops2.rar
I want to thank all those who helped me: KTI, Blixt, SNaG WoLf (aka qberty) and Thecobra.
I used OSLib to make it, so big thanks to Brunni, and sakya for his mod.
You impressions, remarks etc are of course welcome!
