News via http://www.psp-hacks.com/2010/11/17/...-5-1-released/
JJS returns to his roots with a new version of PSPdisp — PSPdisp v0.5.1 — that is now compatible with Half Byte Loader! Mind you PSPdisp is a little slower under HBL than a custom firmware. But hey, them’s the breaks.
PSPdisp allows your PSP to act as an additional display monitor for Windows. You can send remote keyboard/mouse commands to the PC and even stream audio too.
New features on the PSP:
•support for Half Byte Loader, but with these limitations
◦only WLAN mode usable, no USB mode
◦image streaming is about 30-50% slower than on Custom Firmware
◦audio sample rates other than 44 kHz not available on all firmwares
◦screen brightness cannot be changed through the menu
◦HOME button must be pressed twice for the menu to appear
New features on the PC:
•libusb driver updated to the latest version, it now works on 64 bit systems with active driver signature enforcement

Graf_Chokolo has released his version of the PSGroove payload that allows developers to finally see full details out of the PS3 system firmware complete with decrypted contents. -- This release is advance and for developers only, but hopefully it will give them a very useful tool to expand the PS3 Scene even more!
So guys, i promised to you that i will made my PSGroove payload public.
I just uploaded it to github. Let me first explain how it works. I do not have much free time, so please do not expect me to explain every detail to you :-) The target group of this release are advanced programmers among you. The source code is not commented but it’s clean, well structured and self-explaining.
My payload has 2 stages. The 1st stage is actually a PSGroove payload. It initializes the gelic device and allocates memory needed for the 2nd stage. Just compile the 1st stage binary, convert it to C hex array and replace the PSGroove payload.
The 2nd stage does the real job, e.g. decrypts a CORE_OS_PACKAGE.pkg from a PUP file, runs some isolated SPU module or dumps FLASH. The 2nd stage binary is sent to PS3 over Ethernet with “sendfile” which i also provided. The 1st stage code receives this data and stores it in a memory region of size 64 kb. After the upload is complete, the 1st stage code jumps to the 2nd stage code and executes it. So, you have to program PSGroove only once and can just change the 2nd stage binary to execute different code.
In order to be able to run isolated SPUs, you first need to dump your FLASH memory.
Then extract these files from dump and after that you can use it e.g. to decrypt packages :-) I described how to extract files from FLASH dump on my Hypervisor Reverse Engineering page.
To be able to decrypt packages from PUP file, first you need to extract a revoke list for packages from PUP file 3.41 e.g. (RL_FOR_PACKAGE.pkg). Just extract it, convert it to C hex array and paste it into rvk_pkg_341.c. You have to do it yourself because i don’t want any legal problems with SONY.
I didn’t use any GameOS functions in my code because my goal is to reverse Hypervisor and i wanted to learn how to do it without GameOS. I don’t plan to release any GameOS tools, so feel free to create new cool and helpful programs for GameOS using my code :-)
I’m using ppu toolchain for Linux provided by IBM to compile the source code.
I will try to answer any of your questions here. But please do not ask me questions like how to install ppu compiler or something like that :-) You will find everything on the Internet. I don’t have much time, so try to do as much as you can by yourself, you will benefit from it yourself :-)
So, have fun guys :-)

Shots of what appear to be a PSP2 dev kit have surfaced.
The grainy images, which you can see over on VG247, clearly show two thumbsticks, as well as the rumoured trackpad on the rear and twin cameras – one facing inwards, one outwards.
The shots, which VG247 promises are the real deal, do not apparently show what the finished handheld will look like.
While the unit pictured has a sliding, PSPgo-like design, a separate source claimed that a more recent kit is also in circulation with a non-sliding block form. Apparently the newer design helps keep the apparently very powerful console from overheating.
Rumours of the PSP2's existence have been flying around for months now. A Mortal Kombat dev boasted being in ownership of one while EA revealed that it had had "exposure" to Sony's new hardware.
Sony is yet to confirm the product's existence.

When issuing the new version of Beta 3 gLib2D, take the opportunity to revive an earlier draft of the same coder, Gekko, which allows you to create special effects on text-to-implement in their own creations. The library in question is G-intraFont v.031 latest version allows you to attribute text to a rotation and a curving effect.
Recall also that is compatible with gLib2D intraFont.

Among the various minds ever to inhabit our work site, it is not difficult to see some good products that often are used to improve or at least make life easier for us PSP users. This is the case of our freddy_156 issuing his latest work: XMBattery Plugin.
This handy plugin-based Game Categories Bubbletune, which devotes 90% of freddy_156 merits (that is, good and modest!), Allows you to add a new item to the menu System Settings. Specifically, we will appear as if by magic the option Battery Mode , which will transform our pandora battery, autoboot or normalized.
The coder also thanked SilverSpring for reversing the functions of read / write battery.
It 'important to remember that this plugin is intended only for PSP software that allows editing of the battery, then all FAT, and only those posts for Slim TA-085 motherboard (indicated by the DATA CODE 7C).
A personal thanks to PSP-ENG to freddy_156 you for sharing with us the fruits of his labors!
