The PSP version of SEGA's Football Manager 2011 will launch on 26th November.
The game had previously been slated for a 5th November release, which it obviously missed.
The PC version of SEGA's beloved timesink, which did make its published launch date, scored a 9/10 from Eurogamer's Martin Korda earlier this month.
This year's iteration adds a number of tweaks to the well-worn FM formula, including real-time contract negotiations, a revamped training system and a new 'match preparation' area.

Sony Public Relations Manager Alex Armour has officially confirmed that Gran Turismo 5 for PS3 will be released on November 24, 2010.
The date is locked in: Gran Turismo 5 will go on sale throughout North America on Wednesday, November 24th.
That means you’ll be experiencing over 1,000 cars, including karts and select NASCAR cars, scores of tracks, the all-new Course Maker, a dynamic weather system, a robust online community, and everything else Gran Turismo 5 has to offer in less than two weeks.
Along with confirming the November 24th date, Kazunori Yamauchi, President of Polyphony Digital Inc. had this to say:
Gran Turismo 5 is an ambitious project, with challenges and complexities which have made it our version of the Apollo Space Program! When we created the original Gran Turismo back in 1997, we wanted to set a completely new precedent for the racing genre. With the technological leap onto PlayStation 3, our objective with Gran Turismo 5 was to create another great revolution which would not only satisfy our own high expectations, but would meet or even exceed the anticipation of the fans. Satisfying the loyal Gran Turismo followers is at the heart of all of our efforts, which is why it was such a difficult decision to delay the release of the game, and one which we did not take lightly. I can only apologize to everyone for making you wait so long, and I hope that when you try out the wealth of driving experiences available in Gran Turismo 5, you will not be disappointed.
Don’t forget to pre-order Gran Turismo 5 if you haven’t already to ensure your copy day one and receive a voucher for one of five free downloadable cars with a custom Stealth Model skin and a $10 Video Game credit at Amazon.com.

PS Downgrade brought to you by the original PS Jailbreak team is now open for business. The wait is over and we now support all past, current and future firmwares. Buy a PS Downgrade + PS Jailbreak Combo from our worlwide resellers to join in on the Homebrew scene today. All dealers should contact us for new pricing schedules, as well as marketing material. We have just completed a new batch of product ready to ship immediately. Please beware PS Downgrade only installs on original PS Jailbreak devices. There are numerous inferior clones and copycats out on the market claiming to be compatable with our support. This is FALSE!!! Buy original from a trusted reseller or risk beeing stuck with a paperweight.
Specifications:
The wait is finally over! New users above 3.41 fw its time to join in on the fun. Thanks to PS Downgrade, PS Jailbreak is now available for all 44 million users.
PS Downgrade is a software add on that connects with your existing PS Jailbreak device. In 1 minute or less you can downgrade your consoles firmware to any previous firmware.
Simple to install; just plug PS Jailbreak into your pc and follow the gui to install PS Downgrade. Works with all past, present and future firmwares!
Turn back your console to 3.41 to jailbreak with the worlds original PS Jailbreak, or even go as far back as 3.12 to enjoy Other OS (yes LINUX is back). Completely safe to use, and does not void your warranty. PS Downgrade is completely undetecable by manufacturer, there is no history or log of your downgrade.
Please note: PS Downgrade is ONLY compatible with original PS Jailbreak, no clones or inferior USB dongles.
It’s interesting to note, that the downgrade can only be used once. According to the source, “1 time downgrade, cannot downgrade more then once, or to a lower firmware after you choose which firmware”.
The video below is from an official reseller but here is the kicker...they are charging $40 for the downgrade PLUS the cost of the PS Jailbreak dongle. It seems to be confirmed by other resellers that the PS Downgrade is NOT free and that you'll have to fork over $40 to downgrade. Below are the prices pulled from http://www.ps-downgrade.com/checkout.htm
- PS Jailbreak + PS Downgrade $125.00
- PS Jailbreak $100.00
- PS Downgrade (Requires a PS Jailbreak) $40.00
Suggested Retail Pricing
- 1PC 40.00$ USD
- 2PC 38.00$ USD
- 5PC 35.00$ USD
- 10PC 33.00$ USD
- 50PC 30.00$ USD
- 100PC 27.00$ USD
PS Jailbreak team has said that they worked really hard on this and to prevent others from cloning or hacking their own products. What do you think? You think it can be done? This is great news for the PS3 Scene, but I would of loved to see a 3.50 jailbreak.

Rockstar's new open world detective game L.A. Noire will be released in the spring of 2011.
That's according to the game's first proper trailer ("made entirely from in-game footage"), which you can see below. Rockstar also confirmed the game will be released on both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
L.A. Noire, announced years ago in 2005, is a 1940s crime thriller based around you rising through the ranks of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Central to everything is a magnificent-sounding motion-capture system, which records the look, voice and actions of real-life actors and then processes them into the game.
Such a level of detail enables a sophisticated interrogation mechanic, whereby players can judge facial expressions and behavioural quirks to determine whether a suspect is holding anything back. Creator Team Bondi is also said to have written an unprecedented 300 pages of script for the game.
"L.A. Noire is the first game to really explore what it means to be a detective, and offers players the opportunity to solve crimes blending classic action, investigation and interrogation, in the endless pursuit of what's right," Rockstar said.

Those "additional boss characters" added to the Western PS3 release of No More Heroes: Heroes' Paradise? "All of the additional bosses in the game are from No More Heroes 2," Konami's Tak Fuji told GameSugar, "making this much more than just the original Wii game." That's welcome news for people experiencing the series for the first time through this PS3 game, as it now encompasses at least a bit of a sequel.
He didn't mention which bosses or how many -- but we can guarantee that whichever bosses are included, whether it's the revenge-obsessed young man who pulls his own head off, the flamethrower-wielding ghost of a murdered child, or the robot filled with cheerleaders, they're going to be weird.
Fuji also indicated that Konami is at least considering a Kinect-enabled release on Xbox 360. "We have, and are still tossing around ideas for linking NMH with the Kinect for Xbox 360 gamers," he said, "but since the Kinect is such a unique device, it's a bit more difficult. This isn't to say that the Kinect is a poor interface by any means, but more that in its uniqueness it requires a bit more care and planning to bring Travis to the Xbox 360. So if we were to do so, we'd need more time." It's worth noting that Heroes' Paradise was released on both Xbox and PS3 in Japan, so there is a 360 version to work with.

Yes indeed, the expected wide availability of Hulu Plus on the PlayStation 3 has just been enacted, allowing any US PlayStation Network member to get streaming with Hulu's premium offering. Until now, you needed to be a paying member of Sony's PlayStation Plus club to qualify, but that requirement has now finally been dropped. Check out our experience with Hulu Plus on the PS3 if you still need help deciding whether the $9.99 TV streaming service is worth your hard-earned greenbacks. Those of us unlucky enough to be living on another continent will just go drown our sorrows with another round of Black Ops mayhem.

Last week we gave Steven Beall a platform and he ranted about Microsoft's Kinect. CVG reader Matt Brown (dubplate240) also mourned the loss of some old friends.
This week James Ward gives his two cents about developers' attitudes towards the PSP in issue 134 of PSM3 while Jonnty Higham makes a simple request...
PORTABLE PASSION
love my PSP. I think it's a marvellous bit of kit and completely undervalued and underrated by a lot of people. When Peace Walker came along, PSP went up further in my estimation.
It's wonderfully addictive and I must have played it more than a lot of my fully fledged PS3 games - and I'm not even close to stopping.
I think it was a masterstroke to put PW onto the PSP, as I'm sure I wouldn't have put anywhere near as much time into it if I was sat in front of my TV.
The little screen just seems to suck me in and, with a pair of headphones, I get totally immersed in the experience. Those hand-drawn cut scenes are just outstanding, and I love micro-managing my ever expanding military outfit.
It's those RPG elements that just get me hooked, coming away from a mission finding your Gustav Rocket Launcher is now a four-star, lean-mean-tank-killingmachine is very rewarding.
I was initially worried when it was first released, with a heavy emphasis on co-op play, as I thought this was going to be mandatory.
Thankfully, I got through the main campaign on my own with just the right amount of challenge from the excellent bosses.
What frustrates me about the PSP - as highlighted by Peace Walker - is the lack of AAA games. If developers really took the time they could make some fantastic titles, some fully fledged games.
Too many PSP games just seem like throw-away spin-offs. The problem is that a lot of developers don't take it seriously enough. Maybe Peace Walker will make people sit up and take notice and want to make PSP games that are just as good!
PSM3 responds: It's good to hear someone sticking up for PSP. Peace Walker is, arguably, the best portable game ever - and so ideally structured for handheld play, that a HD PS3 version, as some demanded, would be missing the point.
Sony's PSP strategy has been hit and miss - they've had great ideas, such as Wi-Fi and direct PSN access for game downloads, but they're too fiddly, or poorly implemented.
Piracy has killed the software market, too. We're almost certain to see a PSP2 next year, so let's pray they get that right from the off.
CVG says: We agree with James, the PSP is a great handheld with life left in it, so it's a shame it's being somewhat ignored. As he's highlighted, games like Peace Walker and both God of War: Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta are proof of that.
The PSP is particularly well-suited for RPG games so it's a shame Square Enix has thrown its catalog of Final Fantasy remakes exclusively on the Nintendo DS.
However, when all is said and done, it's about doing what's necessary to guarantee the health of your product and ultimately make money. Unfortunately the PSP install base is much smaller than that of the DS and piracy is rampant. Let's hope Sony has better fortunes with the PSP2.
GIVE US HITMAN
Eidos' best franchise is the Hitman series. Forget Just Cause, Kane & Lynch and even the Lara Croft games: Agent 47's adventures produce some of the best experiences you're ever likely to have on a PlayStation.
Big baldy has yet to receive an outing on PS3 - my question is, what's taking so long? I want to get the thrill of following a target through the chaos of Mardi Gras; I want to experience the excitement of putting together my W2000 sniper rifle with the intent of calmly head-shotting my would-be victims; I want to feel the adrenaline pump as I try to be a silent assassin.
Blood Money left us with an exceptional ending. Agent 47 wasn't actually betrayed. It was just a ruse so that he could take out the head honcho of the Franchise at his 'funeral'. Diana works for the royal
family! C'mon! How could you not love that ending? Now
Now just think what they could do on the PS3. Get it together, Eidos, and make a new Hitman game.
PSM3 responds: We agree. Hitman is Eidos' best property, but since Blood Money, developer IO have churned out two mediocre Kane & Lynch games and Mini Ninjas.
Hitman 5 was tipped for this year, but went quiet. Expectations are so high, we hope the delay is born of IO's perfectionism, not struggles with PS3 - which sealed the fate of fellow PS2 gods Pandemic and Free Radical. Still, we're bracing for good news soon.
CVG says: The developer's work on the Kane & Lynch franchise doesn't exactly inspire us to champion a new Hitman, but after that brief recap how could we say no - we're with you Jonny.
One minor issue though; we're pretty sure Eidos (now owned by Square Enix) also has the Soul Reaver franchise, and if it's a choice between Agent 47 and Raziel - we're backing the vampire-turned-wraith all the way.

The demo of Criterion's superb racing game Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit was downloaded more than two million times within two weeks, EA's shouted from the rooftops.
The mega publisher said it's the fastest downloaded Need for Speed demo in history.
Other fun facts: more than 700,000 posts have been made to the Speed Wall, which is part of the game's Autolog network feature. More than five million Autolog Recommendations were sent from friend-to-friend.
54 million miles of open road have been raced, and 20 million cop busts executed – a somewhat abstract way of saying the demo's been proper popular.
Hot Pursuit's out in a week. Tom loved it so much he gave it a whopping 9/10 in Eurogamer's review.
Will the finished game match the demo's success?

In addition to an updated app for Boxee, the NHL just announced its GameCenter streaming app is coming to the PlayStation 3 and Roku players. Free to PlayStation Plus members ($9.99 for all others, free on Roku) gamers get access to the app with its highlights, stats and information, while subscribers to the $169 GameCenter Live service get the full package including streaming out-of-market games and some playoff matchups. It's pretty similar to the MLB app that's also available on PS3, but similarly the lack of locally blacked out games makes it more of an alternate way to catch more sports than a cord-cutters best friend. Additional details are in the press release after the break, or check for the app under the video section of the PlayStation Network store.

Voice chat and wardrobe management is just the start of what's to come to Home tomorrow when client version 1.4 goes live.
Sony's put out the full list of changes and it's a long one. Home users will, as of tomorrow, be able to set up groups of up to eight people, send invites to other players no matter what they're playing/watching on their PS3, send private text messages, set their character status and a whole lot more.
Here's the full list:
NEW FEATURES
Groups
* You can now create groups in Home.
* Groups consist of up to 8 different people.
* You may invite your friends and anyone in the same space as you to your group.
* Groups work no matter where anyone is in Home - different public spaces, personal spaces or club houses.
* Groups have their own voice and text chat channels that work between all group members wherever they are in Home.
* If you leave Home then you leave your group.
* If the leader leaves a group then leadership is automatically transferred to another member of the group.
* The chat log has two tabs "Text" and "Voice". The text tab handles all text chat while the voice tab handles all voice chat.
* Communication in the chat log has been separated into multiple chat channels.
The Chat Log
Local: The existing proximity based text chat in a space.
Group: Text and voice chat through the group channel. Works between all group members anywhere in Home.
Club: Text and voice chat through the club channel. Works between all club members anywhere in Home.
- You can only be in one club channel at a time.
- If you are in multiple clubs then you can switch the channel between each one.
* Each channel has its own prefix and colour scheme so that you can tell them apart in the chat log and understand where chat is coming from.
* As part of this change we have removed the display of custom pop-up colours from the chat log.
* The label on each tab is coloured and prefixed according to the channel you will send chat to if you type or speak.
Text
* Complementing the telephone call system you can now send private text messages to other people through the chat log as well.
Voice
* The voice tab lists all of the people in your current voice channel along with a status icon which indicates:
-Speaking
-Has microphone
-Does not have microphone
-Blocked, ignored or muted
* In addition to the standard menu options there are special slash commands for switching channel or sending private messages quickly:
- "/local" or "/l"
- /l hello
- "/group" or "/g
- /g howdy"
- "/club" or "/c"
- /c greetings
- "/privatemessage", "/private" or "/pm"
- In the case of a private message you also need to specify who the message will go to.
- /pm how are you?
Wardrobe
* We have replaced the old wardrobe background that was tied to the Harbor Studio apartment with a simpler, more neutral one that loads more quickly.
* You can now tag "favourite" items in the wardrobe.
* It is possible to filter the wardrobe view to only display favourite items, purchased items, rewards or recently acquired items.
* Each category in the wardrobe can have the items in it sorted by time acquired and when it was last used.
* New items will have a new icon on them (as will categories that contain new items).
* There is a storage section into which you can put items that you don't use very often. Putting some of your items into storage will mean:
- The wardrobe loads faster (and depending on how much is being stored Home may load faster as well).
- There will be fewer items to scroll through in each category.
* You can browse your storage section and swap items back into your main wardrobe whenever you want to.
- You can keep a maximum of 500 items in your main wardrobe at any one time. The rest go into storage.
- When you load Home for the first time after the patch we will automatically put some of your items into the storage trunk if you happen to have more than 500 items already.
* There is a new "Both Ears" category in the wardrobe.
* The "Glasses" and "Headphones" categories have been replaced with "Face Accessory" and "Head Accessory".
* Within each category the first option will keep your current selection.
* Your character can now be set into one of several different statuses:
Character Status
- Normal
- Happy
- Sad
- Angry
- Confused
- Busy
- Wants help
- Wants to chat
- Wants to play
* Setting a status will update the information in your character label and in some cases may change the expression on your character's face and your idle animations.
* We have added a simplified carousel of three main options (Navigator, Wardrobe and Settings) to the first page of the Menu Pad.
IMPROVEMENTS
Menu Pad and the Navigator
- All of the existing menus can be found under "Settings" now.
- The carousel view can be turned off in the settings if you wish.
* The Navigator can be accessed directly in Home by pressing and holding [START] without having to go through the Menu Pad.
* Extra icons have been added to the side of each space in the Navigator to indicate if this space is a favourite and whether it has any friends in it.
* There are extra options in the Menu Pad and Home Safe Screen for setting preferences as to how much of the new character labels you want to see.
* Home now fully supports cross game invites.
* If one of your friends is online but not in Home you can use the Menu Pad or Navigator friend list to invite them to join you.
* When the friend accepts the invitation they will automatically load Home and be transported to your location.
* The loading screen has been simplified.
* Helpful tips are displayed while you are loading.
* Access to Home is now restricted by parental control level (set on the console) as well as age (set on the PSN account) in each region.
* The audio system has been optimised and improved.
* Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound is now correctly supported.
* Added support for Polish fonts.
* Game camera collision has been improved so that there should be fewer instances of it cutting through objects or sticking out of the scene.
* The majority of videos in Home will now start playing more quickly (before they have been fully downloaded).
* The anti-aliasing has been improved. This should mean higher quality shadows and a slightly better framerate.
* General optimisations to improve performance and framerate.
* Log in times have been improved once more.
* You can now zoom into screens while seated.
* The shadows and lighting in the Harbour Studio apartment have been improved.
* The club menus have been simplified and made easier to use.
Character Labels
* There are extra options in the Menu Pad and Home Safe Screen for setting preferences as to how much of the new character labels you want to see.

* If one of your friends is online but not in Home you can use the Menu Pad or Navigator friend list to invite them to join you.
* When the friend accepts the invitation they will automatically load Home and be transported to your location.

xoeo has hacked his way back onto PlayStation Network (PSN). The modified payload for 3.15 and 3.41, re-enables PSN access…for now. The hex files can be flashed to the PS3YES or any other device equipped with the AT90USB162 at 16MHz and AT90USB1287 at 8MHz. Other builds will follow when people start to compile it for their boards or to help others.
Be careful though, Sony will likely be all over this and will be fixing it quickly. However, they may even detect that you’re using a hacked PS3 which puts you at risk of getting banned.
Download files and source can be found in source link.

Movie rental service LoveFilm has arrived on PS3 today with users able to stream TV episodes and movies from their console.
The firm has also partnered with Push Button who will bring the service to other digital platforms across the world. The developer previously brought LoveFilm on-demand to Sony Bravia TVs and Blu-ray devices.
As well as streaming movies, PS3 owners are also able to sign up to LoveFilm in order to receive DVDs through the post. A monthly subscription currently costs £5.99.
“Today's announcement will allow LoveFilm to build upon our leadership in launching compelling and ground-breaking video content on many different platforms,” said LoveFilm’s group digital officer Lesley Mackenzie.
“Push Button’s ability to quickly get to grips with delivering to a diverse range of digital platforms including consoles, internet TV and handheld devices is second to none.”
Push Button’s MD Paula Byrne added: “Pushbutton is delighted to be chosen by LoveFilm as its digital partner and looks forward to bringing the LoveFilm service to a wide variety of digital devices.”
It was revealed last month that LoveFilm would be coming to PS3.
LoveFilm currently has 1.4m members and 67,000 titles available for rental.

November 10th, 2010, 13:02 Posted By: wraggster
Sony has confirmed a PlayStation Network release for Eat Them!, the latest game from Bristol-based developer FluffyLogic.
The game's producer told the PlayStation Blog that the Rampage-esque romp lets players "create their own giant monster which they then use to smash, crash and munch their way though the city. The monster is people-powered, so eating folk is a prerequisite of keeping your monster in full-on destruction mode."
You can expect "customisable monster creation and lots and lots of smashing things. The player has the option of single-player and split-screen multiplayer, head-to-head and co-operative missions."
Have a look at the screenshots below for a better idea of the game's B-movie comic book feel.
The most accurate release date Sony were willing to offer was "2011" but FluffyLogic, whose last title was the enjoyable tower defence effort Savage Moon, will be taking over the Playstation Blog every two weeks to update on progress.
