The creator of the AdhocToUSB Plug-in and legend, Yuki-Mi, has taken pity on CFW PSP users not on a compatible 5.xx CFW and has updated his AdhocToUSB plug-in to now be compatible with the following CFW's:
6.20 TN-D, 6.35 PRO B2/B3, Neur0n's beta v17 Fix 2 & 6.37 ME-5.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
**Notes and Info**
* There is no readme with this latest release so all information about it will be posted here. All the files and programmes you will need are contained in this post.
* It has been tested on a PSP 2000 & 3000 ONLY. It is not known if it will work on ANY OTHER MODEL PSP, ESPECIALLY THE PSP Go. Feedback on this would be helpful.
* It is also unknown if the 'Kai Aid' will work with this latest update. We suspect it won't due to it being built around the 5.xx CFW's. Please post your results if you try it and have any success.
UPDATE 1: 14/3/11 - kai Aid confirmed working with 6.35 PRO - See here for the original release thread for it: http://www.teamxlink.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=39758
* The ONLY difference in this update is to the AdhocToUSB prx file. But, you need the correct version of it in your PSP seplugins folder, depending on your current CFW.
* The new prx is NOT compatible with older CFW's. Also, the SSID swapping problems still exist as this is an Xlink Kai issue, not the PSP or Plug-in.
* This post will be updated as and when feedback/further information becomes available.
Please download the file/files below that match your PSP's CFW. Set-up guides can be found at the end of this post.

News/release from silmarilion
Hi, this is version 1.4 of the music player GameMusicGear .
Here is the ChangeLog:
Code:
+ add New Capcom's QSound (QSF) plugin based on the Audio Overload SDK by R. Belmont and Richard Bannister. NOTE: The plugin has no compressed support yet and takes around 10 seconds to load a song .+ add Testing new HOLD Mode: when you press the hold switch the screen automatically will turn off, and all the GU operations will be stoped. This will help some CPU heavy plugins, like in_psf and in_uade. But I still need to make it compatible with the remote.+ add Option to remove items from playlist browser. Must open the browser and press R to switch to playlist.+ add Save playlist feature with a simple text input dialog .+ add Added 22 Khz downsample option to in_psf so most soundtracks can be played without lag (but i recommend using the HOLD Mode for that purpose). You can enable it in the input plugins setup screen. + add Updated blargg's File_Extractor library to version 1.0.0. Wich allows faster browsing of compressed files. And now some large rar files can be decompressed (tested some psf soundtracks around 20 MB). NOTE: Big compressed files can take several seconds to decompress.+ add Updated adplug core to version 2.2.+ add Updated vgmstream core to revision 734. And renamed in_stream plugin to in_vgmstream to be more specific. NOTE: I have not written all vgmstream supported formats in the in_vgmstream.plugin file since there are a LOT of formats now, I just put some for testing purposes, so you have to add them manually.+ add Release source code of plugins based on GPL and other licenses that require release of source code. The archive is called gmgear_plugins_src.7z* fix Increased priority of audio thread and reduced cpu rate of most plugins. The gui became a little slower but i guess it's worth it since most plugins works around 122 Mhz now .* fix Fixed several bugs in in_psf with some soundtracks: Final Fantasy VI, Chrono Trigger, Popolocrois, Brave Fencer Musashi, and some others. Most soundtracks should play fine now . If you find a track that doesn´t work please let me know.* fix Fixed a bug in in_vgm (in_gme.prx) when loading a compressed vgz file from a subfolder.* fix in_psf not properly stopping when changing song.* fix Bug in terebi.skin when reaching the bottom of the playlist.* fix rockmax.zip skin file was missing in previous release, sorry....
Just one pic this time:
To install just copy the GMGearMX folder to the GAME folder on the PSP. And please remove any previous version of the app first.

Sony wants to bring the PlayStation to the classroom, but one challenge for the company to get right is how they inform teachers about their games-based education plans.
Fortunately the platform holder has already launched a specialist educational channel, ConnectED, full of examples of how teachers and students are working with PlayStation Move, LittleBigPlanet 2 and the PSP.
A LittleBigPlanet 2 Teacher Pack is on the cards, courtesy of developer Media Molecule. It will have instructions and offer teachers access to demonstrable Curriculum-based in-game levels that other teachers have created. Students will be able to play these levels and teachers will be able to create their own levels themselves.
“The pack will be a really useful way of starting to track and develop interest and involvement in games based learning,” says SCEE senior VP Ray Maguire.
“We hope that Media Molecule will have this created by the start of the summer term in May.”
Sony is also running courses for teachers about how the PSP and PlayStation Move can be used as learning tools.
More information for teachers and industry members can be found atwww.connectededucation.com.

The original PSP may be old news but there is an interesting relic of a website (translated) dedicated to the reverse engineering of a PSP (and exploring Saturn?). To determine the true capabilities of the PSP they desoldered most of the ball grid array chips and then hand soldered 157 jumper wires to allow for direct memory access. In later pictures it shows the PSP hooked up to external hardware for on the fly memory modification. Unfortunately the details are sparse and it doesn’t appear as if they will be updated anytime soon because the website has been “deleted and freezed because of spam. may ineffaceable curse prevail on the spammers.” Still this doesn’t detract too much some very impressive soldering.

[Kenn] is working on building a quadrocopter from the ground up for a university project. Currently, his main focus is building an Inertial Measurement Unit, or rather re-purposing a PS3 Move controller as the IMU for his copter. He previously considered using a Wiimote Motion Plus, but the Move has a three-axis magnetometer, which the Wii controller does not.
The ultimate goal for this portion of his project is building custom firmware to run on the Move’s STM32-Cortex microcontroller, allowing him to obtain data from each of the controller’s sensors. Through the course of his research, he has thoroughly documented each sensor on his site, and dumped a full working firmware image from the Cortex chip as well. Recently, he was even able to run arbitrary code on the controller itself, which is a huge step forward.
[Kenn’s] project is coming along very nicely, and will undoubtedly be a great resource to others as he continues to dig through the inner workings of the Move. Be sure to swing by his site if you are looking for information, or if you have something to contribute.

Updated release from babcock
I made an update to my homebrew, Beatbox. Features of this update:
- Added in-game music player - uses Music PRX by joek2100
- Added metronome
- Able to disable HUD
- Fixed sound bug
- Fixed color scheme bug
Known bug:
Audio channel eight (metronome and the sound assigned to the square button) stops working after you use the Music PRX once.
New screenshots:
If you don't know what Beatbox is, read the original release post, here: forums.psp-hacks.com/f141/release-beatbox-v1-1-signed-t273211/. I am going to enter my homebrew in the upcoming competition. I'm positive that I'm not gonna win, but more people will see my program.
I don't feel like signing this update. If any official firmware users want to play it, they can sign it themselves.

News via http://rgba.se/
DOOM Legacy is a source port of the original DOOM for PC, which plays DOOM, DOOM 2, Final DOOM, and Heretic. PSP Legacy is DOOM Legacy for the PSP, which was ported by kgsws and later updated by Duke. I've made some additional changes for things that annoyed me when playing.
Change log:
- Fixed auto map rendering. Toggle with START button. You can zoom in by holding △ and zoom out by holding ◻.
- DOOM 1 - E3M1 no longer has clipped geometry and sprites in the beginning (bug in GU hardware renderer).
- DOOM 2 - MAP01 no longer has invisible walls and flats (BSP precision issue).
- Stick input is now analog and not digital. Added sensitivity controllers for both X and Y.
- Increased the number of sound channels from 16 to 24.
- Optimized sound mixing code.
Bugs:
- Standby will most likely crash the game (not related to my changes).
- Some levels have rendering errors (holes in floors and walls), but these are also found in the PC version of DOOM Legacy and has nothing to do with this port.

Another interesting application developed for the PSP Genesis Competition 2011 . The developer Shaolan releases the first demo of Feeling , a game / homebrew puzzle game that brings to mind (to say the least) the popular Lumines . Since this is a demo content is rather limited (reduced bone), but as we can see from the pictures below, the full version will be certainly more pleasant.

Readers in the British Empire get ready for Sony Ericsson's biggest UK marketing campaign ever. That's in the lead-up to the release of the Xperia Play, a phone that we've been hearing about for so long that we'd need some pretty shocking commercials to get us all excited again. You may feel differently, though, so mark your calendars for March 31st. That's the end of the month and falls in nicely with the "late March" word we'd heard for elsewhere in the world, though that is awfully late. As to where you can buy it, it's said that "all the mobile operators and retailers" will have it, so you shouldn't have to wander too far. And, with six games pre-installed, you should even be reasonably well equipped to kill the rest of that Thursday.
