PSmonkey has posted some interesting news on his forum here at DCEmu:
1-Doom64 actualy makes it ingame (shows the gun) yet 3d is not showing up well.
2-Penny Racers actualy makes it ingame yet 3d also is bad (polygons are going all over the place) (i think bad ucode/microcode).
3-Weltrix is now starting to work (shows the circles going across the screen from the intro).
4-Wonder Project J2 is now working yet it's just a 2d obscure game, 2d also is also showing up badly.

Namco's already given PSP owners the PlayStation staples of Ridge Racer and Tekken (Dark Resurrection is set for Japanese release in July, in case you haven't heard), and now it's turning to another one of its main franchises: Ace Combat. The PSP is getting a new entry in the Ace Combat series, tentatively titled Ace Combat X: Skies of Deception.
Ace Combat X promises everything you'd expect of Namco's flight simulation series, including detailed jet models, an original storyline told through CG, options for fine tuning your machines, and plenty of real world jets. Famitsu confirms four jets so far: the F-14D Super Tomcat, Tornado F3, F2-A and MIG-31 Foxhound.
Namco isn't skimping out on the modes of play for this title. Famitsu shares details on the game's campaign mode, where you play as a pilot in the Gryphus Squadron of the Federal Republic of Aurelia. Campaign mode makes use of the Strategic AI System, where the contents of a mission change based on the strategies that you select.
The game will also have a multiplayer mode for up to four players. In addition to a last-man standing dog fight mode, you'll be able to split into teams for cooperative combat. The multiplayer mode seems to be ad-hoc, which is to be expected of most Japanese-developed titles.
Ace Combat's PSP debut is set for the Fall in Japan. A US release has yet to be announced.

Glancing at Sony's latest release schedule it appears that Tekken fans will have to wait that little bit longer to play the PSP version of the iconic beat-em-up. Originally destined for released this Summer, the game (an adaptation of Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection) will instead be published in September 2006.
Although initially confirmed for a Summer 2006 release, recent statements regarding the title have only listed Tekken: Dark Resurrection as coming 'later this year', so at least today's news makes the release more definite than before - despite the longer wait.
We'll have more shortly...

News from PSP3D
Skylark and FreePlay, from our forums, creators of the original font hack for the PSP, have released a new version of a tool which allows you to manage and install the font hack, convert TrueType fonts into a format readable by the PSP, set many font options including shape and shadow options, and generate all 16 font files, including bold and italic fonts. The tool does not change PSP icons or font colors, but is an absolute must-have for all font hack users, it makes the "font hacking" process much simpler and user-friendly. Not all fonts may be properly converted, and sometimes 1.5 firmware users may need to reset their settings, but other than that, it's a great release. Keep it up guys!

Via Gamepro
Rumors of a "PSP 2" sprung up last week on gaming blog ShackNews. Author Chris Remo claimed that a "reliable source" shared inside information with him on Sony's plans to design a successor to the PlayStation Portable.
Remo's report "definitely refers to a brand new system," and is probably not related to seperate rumors of a redesigned PSP model. Remo's piece suggests that the so-called "PSP 2" would skip the PSP's much-criticized UMD format in favor of an integrated hard drive. The hard drive support makes sense, Remo says, because "there is little reason for Sony to stick with [UMD]" given that format's poor sales.
The report concludes that the device "may" appear "in the next three years."
We contacted Sony Computer Entertainment in light of this story, and were informed by a representative that "to date we have made no announcements concerning a new PSP or a HDD." Remo's story had a reaction from Sony's Paul Murphy as well: "As you know, SCEA does not comment on rumors or speculation."
In other words, Sony's not saying.
There may be no way to confirm that Sony is working on a PSP 2, but two recent news stories lend weight to the notion that something is brewing behind closed doors at Sony:
PlayStation 4 Watch: Chipmaker nVidia Lands New Sony Design Deals
Sony, IBM, and Toshiba Working on PlayStation 4 Chip?
Up to this point, the popular theory concerning nVidia's new Sony design deal is that the company was starting work on the PlayStation 4. But it's also possible that nVidia is actually designing technology for a "PSP 2."
Likewise, the recent partnership extension between IBM, Sony, and Toshiba may be focused on shrinking the PS3's Cell chip down to portable size.
Of course, without official comment from Sony, these are little more than theories.

MPH has released the sources to his UMD Game Loader and posted this news:
For the moment, i try some new technic to load fully a firmware on 1.00 and 1.50 psp.
The 64k limit is not a problem because size of major crypted prx are still less than 64k and for the multiplayer and sleep mode, i made some research but it's hard to find the bug ;-)

Qware Systems & Services, the builder and operator of the city-wide broadband WLAN WiFly system in Taipei, and Sony Network Taiwan, the operator of local Internet-access services So-net, are cooperating to provide users of Sony PSP (PlayStation Portable) consoles in Taiwan with free wireless broadband access to the Internet via WiFly.
Sony launched its PSP WLAN services globally first in South Korea in September 2005 and second in Hong Kong and Taiwan around the end of last month, with So-net responsible for the operation in Taiwan. PSP WLAN Internet surfing is available at hot spots, while WiFly extends the services to many indoor and outdoor places in main urban areas of Taipei, according to So-net. Users of PSP consoles need to use Sony's NUD (Network Utility Disc) to surf the Internet through WiFly and download contents.
More than 70% of PSP users in Taiwan have played on-line games through ADSL or WLAN, So-net pointed out. According to local retail channels, more than 200,000 PSP consoles have been sold in Taiwan.

themouton from the forums at the premier French Homebrew Forum Player Advance.org has released a new puzzle game for the PSP, heres a rough French to English Translation:

The goal of the play is to leave tomato all these infames malicious numbers while passing by all the boxes. Can be that one day there will be the princess tomato to save!! Each box with a number, it indicates the number of times where it is necessary to pass above (clearly?).
It is necessary to arrive on the last one puts, the white checkerwork, to finish the level.
For the moment there is that 5 types of boxes.
box 1: to pass once
box 2: to pass 2 times
box 3: to pass 3 times
box 4: to pass 4 times
the box checkerwork: to pass that at the end, when all the other boxes disappear.
You can move tomato with the directional cross.
And cross touches it makes it possible to make a screen printing. The image will be put in the repertory of the play.
touch direction: move tomato
touch cross: screen printing
Fact:
graphics: 50 %
stopwatches: 75 %
level: 75 %
the tomato: 75 %
the engine of play: 50%
the graphic engine: 50%
To make:
other boxes: jump, car movement in the 4 directions, téléporter
menus
Can be to remake the tomato drawing and its animates
the engine graphs to be improved
musics and sounds
full with tricks
At the technical level, I program in C++ with the devkitPro and Visual Studio 2005 (It is useful just for the make and the completion). I use lib png for the images. I have to develop a lib which makes it possible to post sprites and tiles, to make various operations above. With a system of hierachie and groups.
I develop rather gently because I make tests on possibilitées of the PSP at the same time, I bump also on another project which has anything to see but which takes much time (8 hours in made = job) and I have also a life
This preview makes it possible to see animate them and the principle of the play.
Here finally the bond for the 1.5 in kxploit
For PSP 1.5: Tomato.zip (706ko)
It goes with also with FileAssistant and them bootloader. For the 1.0 I do not know how the file is made. Thus if somebody knows?
Thank you

anyone translate this better please do so

News from PSPZones
Glynnder - PSPro from the PSPZones Dev Team has released BPPE v0.99. Here is what he's got to say about this release:
OK, this is not the newest build, but it will do. If something goes wrong download and install TTLDE to your PSP's luaplayer and have a play around, but be warned the source code is HORRID...
Its not that great yet, but still worth a look (unless you think otherwise) and that its a beta!

Could this be the V2 PSP? (No it isnt but interesting idea)
Source - Newtech spy
Sony is set to rock the gaming world once again with a new play platform entry. The PSi (interactive) is just 4.5” wide and carries a 3” LCD with 16 million colors. Other familiar features include a tightly squeezed UMD and memory stick duo. Amazingly the PSi has the same pixel resolution as PSP, with 480 x 272, so gaming titles will not have to be reformatted.New Tech Spy has learned through well placed sources that Sony is apparently hedging its bets against the possible death of UMD and positioning itself against Nintendo’s DS lite, which sold an impressive 380,000 in Japan in March.
The PSi is designed with a nearly unscratchable touch screen that will give users a virtual keyboard in which to enter internet addresses and other duties previously unavailable to PSP users. The rest of the body is constructed of matte finish plastic to eliminate the smudge-laden appearance of its glossy exteriored sibling. The " i" also gives the PSi the ability to work not just with WiFi networks but with WiBro, UMTS, EVDO, and future WiMax networks via switchable modules that correspond with each system and their sponsors... Which leads to some questions; wireless photo sharing?, peer-to-peer gaming? or possibly music, game and video downloads? One thing is for sure, without the support of UMD by the major movie studios, Sony may have to find another way to bring in profitable content.
Check out the screen via the Comments
Just to make sure your reading correctly this is a fake but like i said above its an interesting idea

Art in our News Forum has updated his X-Flash app for the PSP, heres what he wrote:
Current versions of X-Flash will not start on any other than 1.50 version firmware. This is to prevent people with other version PSPs making a costly
mistake. The registry backup tool might work on other versions, but you can't currently launch the program at all.
As of V7b, X-Flash is currently the safest way to perform the version spoof to play 2.00 games,
since it verifies each flash write operation. I don't know of any other PSP flash writing program that does this. The verify is currently only implemented
in the version changer, but will be implemented for every flash write operation.
With this release, everybody can have a Version 13.37 PSP
Lastly, Version 1 was never supposed to be distributed due to it's inability to remove the modifications that it makes. I request that it be removed from all servers.
Cheers, Art.

CheatSync is finally back online thanks to GTAPortable coming to the rescue at incredible short notice... I don't need to go into the details as I’m sure that most of you will already know the full story by now...
CheatSync would like to specially thank Adriaan, the creator of GTAPortable once again for providing a new home for us so quickly and also for the fantastic new design which I think we can all agree is much, much better than the one we had before...
Please be aware that you MUST download the new version of the CheatSync program from the new website in order access the database... Older versions of CheatSync will be disabled shortly...
Now for the bad news...
I'm quite sure that a great many of you want some kind of update on the Pimp My Garage project.
Due to the time it has taken to rebuild this website to this standard and the effort required to re-establish the CheatSync application, the release date of Pimp My Garage has been unfortunately pushed back...
However, it will be fully operational to everyone in the next few days...
Keep checking, Cheatsync.net/pmg and this site for more information...

Weekly Special: Sony's PlayStation2™ horror adventure Siren 2 at US$ 14.90 only - offer valid for 1 week
From the publisher: 29 years ago, on an island just off Japan, Yamijima, the undersea cable was cut due to unknown reasons and the island experiences a serious blackout. All the island's residents disappeared mysteriously that night. Today, 29 years later, the missing return but in different forms. The nightmare that never ends is here, and a desperate human struggle to survive is only beginning...
The new genre horror game that, when released in 2003, became the centre of many conversations on gaming. "Siren", is about to have its sequel released! The main concept of this series is to "make people fell out-of-sorts and uncomfortable", and the various game environments derived from this concept gives never-before-experienced new horrific experiences to the player, surpassing the straightforward blood and gory images of other countries. This awkwardness and nauseous sensation must be personally experienced.
Sony's PlayStation2™ horror adventure Siren 2 is now available at discounted US$ 14.90 only.
