Since the PSP was released we have seen some really strange and crappy (at least in my opinion) accessories for the PSP, heres a few that really amuse:
UMD Cleaning System

The UMD Cleaning system is a simple and easy way to keep your valuable UMD's clean. Included is the Cleaning case itself, along with a shammy and cleaning solution.
More info --> http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?pro...2&lsaid=219793
I brought this and well it was so fiddly to use that it ranks as one of the most useless accessories, there is a motorized version which is 10 times better
TV Adapter Kit (PSP2TV)

The TV Adapter for PSP (PSP2TV) lets you hook up your PSP to your home television via Composite or S-Video and Stereo connectors. It also lets you connect and use a PS2 controller on your PSP. The installation requires you to open and modify your PSP console, you need to replace the front face plate with the one included. This device is recommended anyone who wants to play their favorite PSP title on the big screen.
More info --> http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?pro...5&lsaid=219793
Heres another accessory thats both good and very bad, unless you are a pro you will not even try to install this in your PSP and stuff up your guarentee, the installation isnt easy either, wait for an official Sony TV Adapter i say.
SeaWalker Waterproof Bag (Orange)

The first water proof PSP carrry case in the world!!! Need rugged PSP protection for your day at the beach in the Summer or weekend ski trip in the Winter? The Solution: XCM Seawalker waterproof bag for PSP, the most versatile, durable PSP cases on the market. The XCM Seawalker waterproof bag for PSP provides unbeatable protection for the PSP console. Interactive, waterproof, and drop-resistant, XCM Seawalker waterproof bag is ready for any adventure. Bring on the rain, snow, dirt and dust!
More info --> http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?pro...1&lsaid=219793
Hmm what on earth do you need a water proof case for, i wouldnt take my PSP anywhere near water, another vote for a daft accessory.
Compact Flash Adapter (Neo2in1)

This adaptor allows using Compact Flash Cards on your Sony PSP. This effectively increases the capacity of the storage and reduces the cost for the memories. Memory Sticks, including the older and larger version, are also supported.
From SuccessHK
Another accessory thats both good and bad, yes its nice to be able to use Compact Flash Cards on the PSP but the design where you basically stick it to the back of the PSP is weird indeed.
PSP Bank with 40GB HDD

This PSP bank with 40G is a massive device for your PSP console. It could let you store lots of movies, songs and other files on it and play them with your PSP. It also supports connecting with other USB storage devices for data transfer. There is a LCD on the PSP bank to show file information and several buttons for easy file access.
From SuccessHK
40GB of space is great for the PSP but you still need a mem card on the PSP for which this can transfer files to, another weird one
PSP Go Max

Go Max™ is the perfect power solution. - Re-Useable, Just add new batteries when needed No Charger?..No Problem!. - Operates on 3 x AAA alkaline batteries
From Divineo UK
Even with the best batteries your only going to get an hours worth of play with this and batteries unless rechargeable arent cheap.
Cooling Fan for PSP

A cooling fan for PSP to increase your PSP lifetime (mainly the laser life time).
From Divineo China
This has to be the king of the weird accessorys for the PSP, for one it doesnt appear to work and its going to drain your battery a treat.
Ok thats my collection of the weird and useless on the PSP, do you agree or disagree or is there other accessorys you can think of, let me know.

The E3 Expo Conference Program came into clearer focus this week after the last of three big titles was added to the Sneak Peeks session, one of 34 presentations and panels in a program that takes place along side the action of the main show floor.
Most notable for game enthusiasts was the addition of Red Steel (Ubisoft's upcoming Nintendo Revolution exclusive) to a session that already had Metal Gear Solid 4 and Gears of War listed.
Demoing each of the games are their respective creative leads: Hideo Kojima (shown above, center) will personally demo Metal Gear Solid 4 on the PlayStation 3, Cliff Bleszinski (left) will take the reins of Gears of War on the Xbox 360, and Ubisoft Paris boss Xavier Poix (right) will show off Red Steel.
Other panels in the 34-session program include participation of a number of top designers: Richard Garriott joins a session on massively cross-platform gaming, Ed Boon of Mortal Kombat fame joins a session on building franchisable properties, and the designer behind Killer 7--one the year's most sinister titles--Gouichi Suda (Suda 51), will sit on a David Perry-moderated session that will look at game design of the future. Joining Suda and Perry on that panel are The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion's lead designer Todd Howard, id Software design lead Tim Willits (Doom 3), and Irrational Games president and co-founder Ken Levine (Freedom Force vs The Third Reich).
Another noteworthy sessions is one that will look at the importance of story and character development. Included in that panel are David Cage of Quantic Dream (Indigo Prophecy); Richard Dansky, Red Storm Entertainment 's lead Clancy writer, David Jaffe off the God of War team, long-time Half-Life and Half-Life 2 writer Marc Laidlaw, and EALA boss Neil Young. They share the speaker's table as Mad Doc Software (Empire Earth II) founder Ian Lane Davis leads the discussion.

When you see an emulator being coded on from the ground up you realise that even the best coders can find it bloody hard work, remembering that N64 emulation on the PSP is a major task, yes its most likely that the PSP will run some games at a good playable speed eventually but you must realise that this is no overnight job, unlike a lot of the emulators and games on the PSP its not just a case of a quick port.
Anyway on PSmonkeys Site today he posted a fun Easter Egg Hunt where you search the forum for screenshots and yes all the screenshots were found but two that stuck out for me were of Doom64 and Quest64, heres the screens:

As you can see the progress is great, the future bodes well for N64 Emulation on the PSP but to all those who have only recently discovered Emulation and Homebrew, Have more PATIENCE its a case of it will be done when its done.
Remember to keep your eyes peeled to PSmonkeys Site on our Network here --> http://nemo.dcemu.co.uk for the full info.

Hamsterburt has posted some news concerning the development of the 3 emulators he has released namely the Genesis, Nes and Gameboy Colour Emulators plus an unknown project, heres what he posted today :
I have been very busy with my new job the last week or so but I have found a few hours this easter weekend to work on fceultra, pspadrive and the new gameboy emulator port. I am planning on doing new releases of all 3 of them in the next 2-3 weeks, depending on how much free time I get.
I also have been able to spend a few hours on another port project I am working on with another dev but thats all a bit of a secret at the moment.
Awesome stuff, keep your eye on his site HERE and respond to this WIP news here --> http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/sho...411#post106411

Ditlew one of the two coders of the Eloader has released a new menu for Eloader, heres what he says:
We had some feedback regarding the menu crashing when parsing certain homebrew. We looked into it, and found out that it was due to a bug in 'libpng' that can't handle interlanced png's. We have also added a screenshot feature to aid the feedback.
0.) eMenu-- is meant to be a simple, fast, stable no bs alternative to the standard eLoader menu.
1.) This is intended for use with eLoader v0.95+
2.) This is not an 'offical' release, it is only a public beta, meant for people to try out and give me some feedback. Don't download this file unless you know how to use a custom menu with the eLoader. If you don't, please wait for the proper release.
3.) No support is offered on this menu yet. If you don't know what to do with this file, don't download it. I don't want you to ruin your eLoader setup.
4.) This is a F&D project, and will be released as a part of the eLoader package.

A rather cool review from IGN:
Griffin's iTrip for the PSP performs much the same function as its many iPod iTrip cousins, broadcasting the PSP's audio over the radio for an easy and wire-free connection to a car or stereo's speakers. The iTrip mounts securely along the bottom of the PSP and maintains the traditional shiny black and silver color scheme. Headphones and AC power can both be connected while the iTrip is mounted, though PSP remotes are incompatible. An extra wide slip case is bundled with the iTrip to protect the PSP in it's engorged state with the iTrip attached.
For PSP users that have embraced the device's multi-media capabilities, the iTrip is a strong solution for sharing your music or movies with the rest of your car. Considering that the PSP's own speakers don't have the oomph to fill a car at highway speed, it can make mobile UMD watching quite a bit more group friendly.
