Been a long while since an offcial update of PSposte, heres the details:
PSPoste is the first fully functional email application for the Sony PSP. It supports the SMTP and POP3 protocols (possible future IMAP support), and provides a skinnable user interface allowing the user to retrieve, compose and display messages from multiple email servers. Several input methods are included with PSPoste, choose the one best suited for you.
PSPoste requires a PSP with firmware version 1.0 or 1.5 and access to a wireless access point (802.11b) that provides internet access. Support for other firmware versions may be possible, but we have only tested on v1.5 PSPs.
Here's a list of what's changed in Beta 7:
Support more IR keyboards by using the pspirkeyb library, see PSPoste/Data/pspirkeyb/ for configuration of your keyboard.
Better random number generation for TLS based connections, acknowledgements to Zx81 for his work on PSPSSH and Theodore Tso for the original RNG work.
On first start, users will be prompted to press buttons randomly to generate the random seed file.
Use the extra RAM of the PSP Slim.
Fix a crash when opening the settings window when no network connections are defined.
Fix another crash opening the settings window that would occur randomly.
Fix a bug in the logging mechanism that meant errors and output weren't properly being written out to the log files.
Fix a problem connecting using a manually configured WPA connection.
Make the cursor visible at all times while typing (as opposed to blinking throughout).
Explicitly load the IrDA module so IR Keyboards work on firmwares > 3.03OE.
Adjust heap and thread stack sizes.
Fix some memory leaks and uninitialzed variables.
Set the timezone to whatever the PSP has configured.
General notes:
Thanks to Zx81 for his initial implementation of pspirkeyb in PSPoste and for the PSPSSH RNG.
See the bottom of this post for links to our forums/bugs/feature requests
INSTALL/UPGRADE NOTES:
FW15: Unzip PSPoste_Beta7_FW15.zip into your PSP/GAME (PSP/GAME150 for m33 users) directory. Existing settings, contacts and mail will be preserved.
FW4x: Unzip PSPoste_Beta7_FW4x.zip into your PSP/GAME4XX directory.
Upgrading from FW15 to FW4x: Rename your existing __SCE__PSPoste to PSPoste, move it to PSP/GAME4XX, then unzip PSPoste_Beta7_FW4x.zip into PSP/GAME4XX. You can delete %__SCE__PSPoste.
Notes on mirroring: we would appreciate if sites did not mirror our releases, but instead link to the "Files" section (or "PSPoste" package) on our sourceforge project page. Thank you in advance for your co-operation.

Walt Disney Co., the second-largest U.S. media company, forecast sales of high-definition Blu-ray discs in the U.S. will overtake DVDs within two years.
Consumers will adopt the new technology "much sooner than we think," David Jessen, Disney vice-president of Blu-ray and DVD creative production, said in an interview. "It's right on the verge of becoming really big in the U.S., where in two years Blu-ray will eclipse DVDs."
In February, the Blu-ray disc technology won against Toshiba Corp.'s HD DVD, setting the new high-definition standard in the entertainment industry's largest format war since VHS beat Betamax in the 1980s. Blu-ray discs can store 50 gigabytes of data, about six times more than conventional DVDs.
Disney is releasing classic movies including Sleeping Beauty this month in the Blu-ray format to encourage consumers to start using the new technology.
The film is the first release to include the BD-Live network system, enabling viewers in different locations to chat and create communities while watching the same movie, Disney said.
Shopping for HD-TVs and Blu-ray players will help the technology "take off big" after the holiday season, Jessen said. "Prices of HD-TVs are coming down everywhere" and those of Blu-ray discs "will also drop as mass adoption takes over."

1Up's reporting from TGS that Media Molecule cofounder Alex Evans hisself "let slip" that all those awesome LittleBigPlanet beta user-created levels we've been seeing will in fact make the transition into the full final game. This countermands MM's Leo Cubbin, who two weeks ago said they wouldn't.
1Up points out that this means the game ships with a library of user content all ready for the LBP community to tap on the first day of release. That's probably why Media Molecule changed its tune.
Finally, Evans said Media Molecule is watching this poll about user-created beta levels, over at the LBP official blog, so if you have a feeling about this or other feedback, go make it known. I'm not sure who would be against this, or why. More content's better, right?

Strangely, only one thing we reported on at Tokyo Game Show this year was under embargo. And that was this LocoRoco 2 trailer. Why? We don't know. If you read our hands-on impressions, you'll know that we're absolutely in love with this rather substantial sequel. Take a watch and see if you can find all the new gameplay features and enemies.

As cute as Old Sack and Sackiroth may be in digital form (despite being gun-toting, sword-wielding mass murderers), they're nothing in comparison to their real life counterparts. These costumed SackBoy plush dolls appeared during the public days in the LittleBigPlanet section of the Sony booth. Media Molecule continues to tease us with physical SackBoys that we just can't have.
On nearby screens a trailer showed the two newest members of the LittleBigPlanet family running and jumping through various levels of the game. Adorable and ecstatic? Yes, but also ruthless Ninja killers.

On the hardware front, EEDAR sees Nintendo dominating with 600,000 units sold each for the Wii and DS. The Xbox 360 is also expected to sell 320,000 thanks mostly to the recent price cut. The PS3 meanwhile is predicted to sell only 215,000 units, and the PSP has been forecast to sell 235,000.
"...the surge in Xbox 360 sales likely came from the mainstream and casual markets who were enticed by a sub-$200 Xbox 360 SKU. We should note that if Microsoft's first-party titles perform significantly better in quality and popularity than Sony's this holiday season, we could begin to see a considerable amount of potential PS3 owners, who may be waiting for a PS3 price cut, to choose the Xbox 360 over the PS3," he said. "Currently, we expect Gears of War 2 to be the single best selling SKU this holiday season."
"We still urge Sony to consider a possible hardware price cut this holiday season. If September hardware sales fall below our estimate (under
200,000 units), it could be an indication that the Xbox 360 price cut played a bigger role on hindering PS3 sales than what we originally expected," Divnich continued. "While we have no doubts that titles like Resistance 2 and LittleBigPlanet will drive the core gaming market to purchase a PS3, we do, however, have doubts that either title will lure in casual and mainstream gamers. The $399 price point is simply too steep to entice the casual and mainstream markets, regardless of how great Resistance 2 and LittleBigPlanet may be."

One of Sony's big Tokyo Game Show announcements has leaked out early through Famitsu. Sony will be releasing the 80 gigabyte PS3 model to Japan, the magazine reveals in its latest issue. Bundled with a Dual Shock 3, the new high capacity model will sell for 39,800 yen, the current price of the 40 gigabyte model. Sony will offer the system in black, white, and silver color varieties.
The deal gets better, though, as for a limted time, Sony will be including Gran Turismo 5 Prologue Spec III with the system, turning this into an effective 4,500 yen price drop for those who were interested in buying the racer anyway.

In addition to offering up a few beta details that were already known, Sony did manage to tell us something new about HOME today at its Tokyo Game Show press conference. And we certainly like what we heard. The company revealed that 24 game companies have signed on to produce Home content.

Due to be launched next Tuesday, the PSP-3000 Ratchet & Clank Entertainment Pack has managed to slip into at least one Best Buy a few days early, where it was quickly snatched up by friendly tipster Aaron G. He sent us a few unboxing shots out of the kindness of his heart, and now he's undoubtedly too engrossed in National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets and that ultra-bright screen to pay us much heed. Oh Nicolas Cage, what a charmer you are.

Irdeto Sage V1
Irdeto Based File Encryptor/Decryptor for Sony PSP
Hi Guys,
Here is the first full version of Irdeto Sage.
You can currently change the private key with an arcade style rotator,
and a basic file browser has been implemented to select files.
The Irdeto crypto algorithm is very strong despite security loopholes
with smartcard hardware that allowed people to extract keys from them.
You can attempt a brute force of the irdeto private key (HMK) with
FMcard Windows program by Fatmate available here:
http://www.geocities.com/qarqeaan2/programs.html
provided that you have a matching Encrypted and Plain key pair which
is given in the Irdeto demo mode of Irdeto Sage.
The target file must be 20Mb or less, since the processing is done in RAM,
and the program is compatible, and tested on the PSP fat.
Download Irdeto Sage V1 from Sendspace:
http://www.sendspace.com/file/odlgei
Download Irdeto Sage V1 from Rapidshare:
http://rapidshare.com/files/15293355...ge_V1.zip.html

via PS3Fanboy:
So, apparently the PS3 version of Alone in the Dark is so radically different from the 360 version, that it merits a brand new title. Eden Studios has tried its best to appease critics of the original release by taking their feedback and rolling it into this new premium PS3 edition. Alone in the Dark: Inferno, as it will be called when it finally launches on PS3, is the definitive version of the game. Not only will it have better controls, but it will even have additional gameplay in the form of an extra chapter.
We have preview code waiting for us back in the US. Once we get our hands on it, you'll certainly find out if Eden Studios was successful. Trailer is embedded after the break. (You must be 18 or older to watch -- it's an M rated game, y'know.)

PSP Pandora Deluxe v2.3
Created by DJB on 11th October 2008
Original News Story: Here
Original Forum Thread: Here
DOWNLOAD: (v2.3 Full version): Rapidshare - Megaupload
DOWNLOAD: (v2.3 Update Pack): Rapidshare - Megaupload
Release Notes:
Here you have it, an all-in-one solution for your Pandora Needs.
This program is designed to prepare your PSP Memory Stick to be used with the Pandora Battery. Unfortunately this program can not change your Battery to Pandora, however it will copy programs to the Memory Stick in order for you to do this yourself.
The GUI has been improved this time around, using a Status Bar to show the progress of the installation process rather than a popup box. There was also a small bug found in v2.2 where the M33 1.50 Kernel Addon Installers wasn't working properly, this has now been fixed as well.
The Backup / Restore system has been improved now too, it will now save your Backup to a .zip file, where you have the option of using a stronger compression as well. So for example if your memory stick has lots of large files, the stronger compression will take longer to create your backup file.
As far as Support Tools go, there have been a few more updates. Hellcat's Recovery Flasher 1.32 has been added to the Pandora Support Tools, and AutoStartPRX 5, CPU-Modulator 0.20 and CW Cheat 0.2.2 Rev D have been added for the XMB Tools.
I hope you enjoy this new release...

akadewboy has posted an edited version of the excellent squarez homebrew game for the PSP:
A lot of people have had trouble getting the hombrew game called SQUAREZ to work on the slim and 3.xx/4.xx kernel. For some reason even if you merged the KXploited version into one eboot it still wouldn't work.
Well I looked into it and did a little hex editing to make it work. I discovered that there was just something wrong with the PARAM.SFO file.
All credit goes to the original creators, I just wanted to play it on my PSP and didn't do much to make it compatible.

Art has updated his Irdeto Sage Key Decryptor Demo, heres the release details:
Hi Guys,
This program relates to an obsolete Pay TV encryption system,
and is not intended to aid in pay television piracy in the present day.
Back in the day it was possible to use this algo, and it's signature algorithm counterpart to produce programs to maintain pirate tv cards,
or to produce programs that run on the cards themselves.
This is just a little PSP demo with the keys from Rashid's original document
(included) hard coded into the program.
For the first time, a live visual decryption and re-encryption of the Plain Master Key can be seen this way.
The "11 11 11 11 11 11 11 11 11 11" Hex Master Key from the
example doesn't give too much of a visual display,
but the second example in this YouTube video:
http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=PhdoWWjSDuk
uses a different key set which is also made up from arbitrary byte values.
The PSP demo is a user mode program,
and has been tested with 3.52 and 1.50 kernels on 3.52 M33 custom firmware.
