News/release from Roe ur boat
Hey, this plugin is meant for quickly loading up a specified game/app at startup by pressing the corresponding button. With the included configurator you can configure up to 10 buttons and there is also an option to specify something to autoboot at startup without pressing any buttons. It is able to launch ISO/CSOs, PSX games and homebrew.
This is the final release of AutoStart. The configurator has a new GUI and it's faster to find the games you are looking for. Any bugs in the previous versions should also be fixed. Please be sure to read the readme for full instructions on installing the plugin and using the configurator.

Though critical reaction to WipEout HD has been extremely positive so far, reports are beginning to crop up of two major qualms players have with the hyperactive racer. The first of which is, of course, the game's arbitrarily intErcappEd titlE -- the second is a bug that causes the game to freeze or crash for some players. These crashes may not pick their victims at random, however, as members of the European PlayStation forums have deduced that they only strike down PSN users with over 50 e-quaintences on their friends lists.
It's not clear whether or not this is actually the case, though certain sociable so-and-sos on our Blu-ray-enabled sister site, PS3 Fanboy, have experienced the freezes (which can apparently be remedied by signing out of PSN while playing). Sony has yet to comment on the veracity of this claim, though they are currently looking into the issue. Until then, we'll be thanking our lucky stars for our lifelong, soul-crushing unpopularity.

via PS3Fanboy:
We recommend you read this entire interview with Hideo Kojima at 1UP -- it's filled with great revelations about MGS4 and Hideo's thoughts on the future (including MGS5).
One thing did pop up in our readthrough: Hideo Kojima is unhappy with the number of people currently playing Metal Gear Online, the multiplayer portion of MGS4. Undoubtedly, the cumbersome Konami ID registration process, which requires players to write down multiple IDs and passwords simply to get into the game, became a significant barrier of entry.
"Honestly, officially, I can't say anything on Konami ID and Game ID. It's a company policy. But frankly speaking, the idea wasn't a very good one. The fact is that Konami's direction was that we create a Game ID and Konami ID for the online components, and now we're seeing that it's not working so well, and we have to think about how to turn it around. It was a concept of an online Konami group thinking, so there's not much I could do at the time."

Xart has released a new beta of his game for the PSP which amusingly contains DRM, not sure why the need for it but oh well
Working BETA version of the game.
Lonpos
26th September DRM
Lonpos (alternately Lon-pos or LONPOS) is a logic puzzle game in which the player must fit a fixed number of beaded game pieces of various shapes, called pentominoes, to fill a set area such as a rectangle or pyramid. Lonpos was named after its creator.
Replace the DATA.DRM that comes with Lonpos with the newer 26th September DATA.DRM file.
CONTROLS
X Place/Pickup Piece
[] & O Cycle threw pieces
^ Flip piece
L & R Rotate piece
D-Pad & Analog Move piece
Please send me a message if you have issues of any kind.
Yes I know DRM may sound like a dirty word to some but the DRM in this homebrew is all about preventing someone hosting this homebrew besides me.
Youll have to download via links above, DRM in Homebrew, this could be extremely controversial

Considering that everyone complains that xtreamlua and death as whole scene psp elsewhere (it's true that there is no crowd of homebrew at the moment, but the lack of competition)
Here is my new homebrew written in only 18 days.
BigCorp PSP.
BigCorp psp is the adaptation of the famous game of the Voice of the north.
As every year La Voix du Nord offers to find 3 items hidden among 6 offered in a drawing for 49 days from September to December to save you a house.
The PSP version offers 50 enigmes, the full 2007 season.
The rule of BigCorp PSP, is different in the sense that you have to find the 3 items by clicking on the image.
Feature:
Written in C, in 18 Days.
Games in French, English, German, Spanish; automatic choice of language.
5O riddles, 150 objects to find.

Information in a leaked Blockbuster memo has revealed that the discontinued 40GB Playstation 3 is set for a $40 price drop on Sunday, bringing it down to $360. The memo also notes that a 40GB bundle with an HDMI cable, Spiderman the movie and Transformers the game will see a drop as well. It's not what I would call a huge discount for a system pulled by Sony, but if you don't mind having only 40GB of storage it could make for a decent Christmas present.

Media Molecule has pledged to give out a further 25,000 codes for the LittleBigPlanet beta 'soon'.
The beta, which kicked off earlier this week, gives lucky participants a small taste of some of the pre-made levels in the game, as well as a hefty chunk of the Create mode, which allows users to make levels, mini games and... pretty much anything.
"Over the next week there are over 25,000 codes being given out," said a MM representative on the official forums.
"The LittleBigPlanet News Site will be giving out more details," they added.
So you've still plenty of chances to get on it, if you haven't already. In the meantime, you should check out this brilliant rendition of Tetris someone has made with LBP's seemingly infinitely mod-able Create mode.
