News/release from AtomicDryad
Pergame is a small module that loads other modules as if they were in /seplugins/game.txt
The difference here is that pergame.prx loads on a per-eboot basis. Thus one doesn't need
to toggle a specific module on or off if they only need it to make one game run in m33, and cheat programs that break some homebrew can be told only to load for isos/umds.
Games that require m33_620.prx/etc run successfully when using this loader instead of
/seplugins/game.txt.
Changelog:
0.2: UMDID detection now works via direct memory read.
relevant modules from 5.03 prometheus, altered to load entirely from MS, are now included.
default settings in pergame.txt will now cause prometheus to load for any iso beginning with
'prm' in the following folders: /iso, /iso/cat_game, /iso/cat_mini.
Installation/usage:
snag: http://fnord.to/psp/pergame-0.2.zip
Throw the prx anywhere and add to ms0:/seplugins/game.txt. put pergame.txt In the same folder
and edit. Syntax is (per line):
module identifier
where 'module' = 'ms0:/path/to/a/plugin.prx'. No spaces.
and 'identifier' = ms0:/path/, gameid (ie jpjp-65535), or 'umd'. Spaces allowed. See pergame.txt
for examples.
Tested with:
CFW 5.00m33, m33_620.prx, stargate.prx, freecheat.
License:
GPL. Feel free to distribute, alter, or mutiliate - but you must distribute the source code
of any derivative works.
Caveats:
This is written for CFW 5.00m33 (primarily for selective use of m33_620). Determining
which iso is being launched is done by reading SystemController's memory. The ISOOFFSET
(0x0000B108) defined at the top of main.c is where one can adjust this. If you can
provide an offset for a particular firmware I'll include it in a future version -
which will have version detection.
This uses a StartModuleHandler, and I have yet to determine how to turn it off.
Todo:
DONE: Fix UMD-IDs and real UMDs.
Maybe? Automatic on-the-fly prometheus patching via temporary SceIO hooks.

News via http://www.ps3center.net//news/4650/...econ-predator/
Back in October 2009, the Australian classifications board gave a rating for Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Predator, which all websites assumed was the name of Ghost Recon 4. This has now proven to be incorrect as the ESRB, Entertainment Software Ratings Board, has rated the game as "Teen" for the PSP.
The game is described as follows:
"This is an action game/third-person shooter in which players engage in combat missions as part of an elite military unit. Players use a variety of machine guns, sniper rifles, grenades, and explosives to infiltrate hostile compounds and kill enemies. Gun fights are depicted realistically, with loud gun sound effects, large explosions, and characters that yell in pain when hit. Gunshots result in splashes or small clouds of red blood that disappear quickly. Characters use the words "sh*t," "b*tch," and "a*s" in the dialogue."
The only platform mentioned for the game is PSP, so it is safe to assume that it is a PlayStation Portable exclusive.

News via http://www.psp-hacks.com/2010/07/18/...lugin-updated/
Don’t get it twisted; this isn’t a new M33 release… This is Torky’s updated plugin — M33 6.20 — which now bundles increased compatibly for Go!Edit, FIFA 2010 World Cup and perhaps other 6.00+ required titles. Go!Cam (PSP-450) owners can also enjoy support for said peripheral while in the XMB — not just in game.
How does it all come together? Do this:
Download PSP Firmware Update 6.20 and Psardumper. Both are available below.
Create the directory “kd620″ on the root of your memory stick (i.e. ms0:/kd620)
Using Psardumper on the 6.20 firmware update, dump and decrypt usbcam.prx and usbmic.prx.
Copy the two files, usbcam.prx and usbmic.prx, to ms0:/kd620.
Copy this plugin, m33_620.prx and m33_620_user.prx, to ms0:/seplugins.
Activate only m33_620.prx in ms0:/seplugins/game.txt and ms0:/seplugins/vsh.txt.
Now it’s time I Pandora myself back to 5.00 M33-6. That’s where it’s at!

Much love for 5.00 M33… Respected developer, Red Squirrel, returns with a lil somethin’ for the masses: M33-Prometheus Installer v1.0. It’s like Torky’s plugin, a few posts down, which lets you enjoy 6.00+ required titles on custom firmware M33, without sacrificing your homebrew.
It’s this easy:

News via http://semiaccurate.com/2010/07/14/s...as-tegra-line/
THE ANNUAL RUNNING of the moles in Santa Clara yesterday had some surprising results, not just in the record number of IC engineers gored, but also the information leaked by those trying save their backsides. One of them even leaked some details about the upcoming PSP2's CPU, but it didn't save him.
Unfortunately for that engineer, he wasn't able to make it back to 2701 San Tomas for treatment, and succumbed to his wounds. While he was crawling back to the mothership begging for an 'ouchless' band-aid, he was babbling about how the new PSP2 hardware needed him, and that he was too young to die. Next of kin, not the next Kin, confirmed that the (now ex-) Nvidia engineer was indeed on the Tegra team, and that chip line will be powering the PSP2.
It is now set for a CES showing, but it will almost assuredly be released at a later date. This isn't due to the number of engineers mauled by moles yesterday, but because the Tegra 2 is massively over it's promised power budget. In a segment that finds 5% overages unacceptable, Tegra 2 is 20%+ over power budget. That explains why Nvidia PR suddenly changed the focus of the PSP2 screed to avoid the word 'phone', but, luckily for Sony, the PSP2 does not have phone capabilities.
The power 'whoopsie' means delays and possibly spec downgrades for the PSP2, but we will have to see where it ends up. Between that overage and several showstopper bugs, Sony is said to be very miffed at Nvidia right now. Even the moles could sense that before they pounced on engineer after engineer. The scene in the streets is almost as bad as the scenes in the Nvidia meeting rooms when the Sony people come around.
If the chip that Sony uses for the PSP2 is a vanilla Tegra 2, the design is in trouble. If they use a custom version of the part, there is a chance for things to work out in the end, but expect many delays as the silicon is respun and respun. For a device that has already been delayed because of it's CPU, that is not a good sign.
Unlike the other 20, 50, 70, or however many design wins Nvidia PR is promising this week, the PSP2 is actually going to come out. In fact, it will sell more than the other two Tegra flagship products, the Zune HD and the Kin(s) combined. So more than 20 units, one for the family of each gored engineer, plus or minus a few design wins.S|A

News via http://psx-scene.com/forums/showthread.php?t=64690
George Hotz, the infamous iPhone and Playstation 3 hacker, has given up trying to fully unlock the PS3,
Citing his resignation of Twitter earlier, the hacker stated that;
Quote:
“It was a cool ride, and I learned a lot. Maybe I’ll do in the next few days, a formal reunion."
Hotz, aka geohot, procured access to the Sony Playstation 3 some time ago, including bypassing some of the on-board security software. Sony responded by releasing a firmware update that prevented the use of alternative operating systems to be used on the console, such as Linux.
He went on to state that he simply hacked the iPhone because he was bored, stating that he felt people took it far too seriously- it is only a phone, after all.
It appears that the task of fulling unlocking the Playstation 3 was just too difficult for Hotz, and many fans may have a long wait ahead of them if they wish to see alternative operating systems back on their Sony console.
His Twitter account appears to have since been pulled from the site.
