D4 Enterprise, the company that handles SNK’s Virtual Console lineup, is apparently working on PlayStation Network ports too. Art of Fighting was rated by the ESRB for Wii, PSP, and PlayStation 3.
Back in March, we also discovered a bunch of Neo Geo titles like Alpha Mission II, Super Sidekicks, Metal Slug and Fatal Fury rated by the ESRB for PS3 and PSP.
So far, Sony and SNK have not announced Neo Geo titles for PlayStation Network in North America.

Sony Computer Entertainment Korea set a date, September 15, for their PlayStation Move launch. The news came with a list of compatible software, which had a few new games.
Flight Control HD, an iPod game from Firemint studios, is getting a PlayStation Network port (iPad version pictured). And it’s PlayStation Move compatible. Ignite (pictured below) a racing game with stunts from Nemesys Team Studio also supports PlayStation Move.
Soaked! from Big Ant Studios, one of the developers behind the Spyro Game Boy Advance games, is on the list too, but there aren’t any details about this particular title. All three of these games are PlayStation Network downloads

It's still a pretty big window, but Netflix CEO Reed Hastings has narrowed down the time until we can expect a disc-free streaming experience on our PS3s from "later this year" to some time before its next earning call, which should happen around October 21. Other notes from the Q2 highlights included a shoutout to Hulu Plus, where Netflix "plans to learn what customers like about Hulu Plus" and use that to enhance its service, as well as the upcoming launch of a streaming service in Canada, and how the lessons learned may be applied to other "pure streaming" offerings internationally in the future. Investors aren't too happy the company missed earnings projections, but we're figuring once they close the ETrade window and pick up a Shockaxis they'll start to get over it.

How will sir be having his gimmick today? The devs behind the upcoming Sly Cooper 3D compilation are wisely mulling over the idea of inserting a 3D-adjusting slider to let users decide just how much stereoscopy they want with their Sony-approved gaming. It's argued that this should allow you greater positional flexibility when smacking fools down in three dimensions, as you'll be able to manually toggle the depth of the 3D effect to suit your viewing angle. We were happy to see such an option introduced in the Nintendo 3DS at E3 and would similarly welcome its inclusion on the PS3 -- though that's no foregone conclusion as yet. All we can say for sure right now is that the stuff is adjustable, but it looks like it'll be up to devs to roll their sleeves up and integrate the slider into their games. Hey, it's the summer, not like they've got anything else to do, right?

Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together, the PSP remake of the classic 1995 Super NES strategy game, will be released in Europe.
It's "coming soon", publisher Square Enix promised.
The original game was only published in Japan, so, technically, this release marks Tactics Ogre's European debut.
While the gameplay will remain largely unchanged, the on-screen troop count is increased to 30 from 20, and there are new classes and new features for the skill system.
Some of the original team have got together to work on the game, including director Hiroshi Minagawa, designer Yasumi Matsuno, character designers Akihiro Yoshida and Tsubasa Masao, and Hitoshi Sakimoto and Iwata Masaji on music.
Matsuno is working on additions to the game's story and character elements, including new side stories.
"Long ago, Power was everything. It was a time called Xytegenia, where metal and evil, enshrouded in darkness, was in control," says the ever-dramatic European PlayStation Blog.

If you're one of the many who imported the North American release of the From's modern classic Demon's Souls, you'll be happy to know that Atlus is guaranteeing that servers will stay switched on until at least March 2011.
The PS3 exclusive is essentially a single-player action-RPG, but it has many unusual online features and does allow players to invade each others' games to co-operate with - or attack - each other.
The servers also have a World Tendency that varies between black and white, making the game more or less difficult and unlocking secrets.
To celebrate its announcement, Atlus is setting the servers to Pure White for two weeks, which will make the game easier for newcomers and allow veterans to reach new areas and items.
Demon's Souls is now available in Europe too, following a release by Namco Bandai last month. It's a must-play - and Keza's rare interview with director Hidetaka Miyazaki, covering the making of the game, is a must-read.

Evolution's enlightened us all with new details for its third racer, Motorstorm Apocalypse.
Speaking as part of a live web chat, the Motorstorm team fielded questions on the next post-apocalyptic racer, which boasts urban off-road racing.
Here are the main points of interest:
3D was always going to feature in Apocalypse ever since it was implemented in Pacific Rift.
The team thinks that playing the game in 3D could well improve your lap time.
Vehicle customisation allows you to create and share "your hard work and cool ideas" with other members of the community and there'll be more on that soon.
Motorstorm Apocalypse goes all LittleBigPlanet with mode creator; a simple icon based interface allowing players to string together various actions and reactions. "We're using the very tool that the users will have on the disc to create the multitude of game modes that are initially available," said lead designer Paul Rustchynsky.
Vehicles included in the game are; an agile Superbike, a powerful, low riding chopper a FWD Hot Hatch, a fast and grippy Supercar and a Muscle Car, which is the most technical to drive of the bunch.
Perks are divided into three categories; boost, handling and combat.
There are more than 40 tracks, over 30 surfaces and 13 vehicle types.
Custom soundtracks and destruction feature both online and off.
Destruction won't always occur in the same way every time.
Loading screens will be replaced with cutscenes.
If you want to see the game in action, have a look at the Motorstorm Apocalypse trailer released last month.

Newly released
features
Hi-end next generation arcade style controller.
description
The Hori Premium VLX fighting sticks don't just simulate your arcade gaming experience; they are the real deals. They perform all the functions of their arcade counterparts. They also provide the connect shot function for shooter maniacs, with these sticks, you can shoot from 5 bullets per second to 10 and then to 20.
Created through the joint effort between Taito and Hori, these sticks use the exact buttons and joysticks of the VELIX controllers in the arcades. Everything is assembled, not only to the same dimensions (50cm x 20cm), but to the same angle.
During maintenance, you only have to lift the face board up and do your cleaning or replace buttons. If you want to replace the joysticks, the Premium VLX sticks are compatible with Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT-SK and Seimitsu LS-32-01.
The special ergonomic design gives you space to place your wrists and is absolutely steady, even as you mash your buttons. The option board that comes in the package will provide you with more support and will keep it firmly on your desk.

5pb picked up Pastel Chime Continue, which, according to this week’s issue of Famitsu, is a popular RPG. The PC version developed by Alicesoft has a Persona vibe since it blends a school schedule with dungeon crawling.
And eroge scenes.
We’re guessing 5pb is cutting those out of the PSP version. This port has new graphics and is slated for November 25 in Japan.

The RPG-loving gamers of Japan spoke up back in April about which of Square's catalog of titles they'd like to see on the PSOne Classics storefront. It seems a victor has been crowned: According to a Tweet from Shinji Hashimoto, the next Square Enix title bound for the service is Legend of Mana, due out next week on the Japanese PSN for 600 yen ($6.50).
We've got high hopes that the beautifully illustrated Mana will come stateside, but seeing as how we're still waiting on the PSN localization of Brave Fencer Musashi, Einhander, Bushido Blade, Bushido Blade 2, Vagrant Story, Chocobo Racing, Final Fantasy I and II, all the Front Mission games, SaGa Frontier, Threads of Fate and Xenogears -- well, you get the picture.

Super Street Fighter IV has 35 characters. A flyer doing the rounds this afternoon suggests it may get more.
The Japanese text on a flyer for the upcoming arcade release of Super Street Fighter IV says: "Here comes new challengers?!" Yes, with a question mark.
While the text may relate to the characters that were added to the roster for the release of the home console version of Super Street Fighter IV, we've had a look at a scan of the flyer (thanks Eventhubs) and it appears the text relates to unknown characters.
We've been told the flyer is the work of Capcom's arcade division, which acts independently from other divisions.
But there's nothing stopping Capcom patching new characters into the home console version at some point, and, of course, making them available for a fee.
Super Street Fighter 4 arcade location tests start this weekend in Japan, apparently, so we should know if any new characters are in the works soon.

Marketing comparison charts that blatantly put any spin they can on the facts to make their product appear superior is the done thing. It's expected. But a comparison chart that basically does little to place one product over a competitor's? Fail.
The picture on this page is of a motion controller comparison chart in a Sony Holiday 2010 catalogue (via Kotaku). It shows a list of features, all of which the PS Move conveniently has of course, that either Wii or Kinect don't.
The problem is, the few things that Kinect is missing simply relate to its controller-free form. Stuff like buttons and rechargeable batteries.
Hilariously, Kinect also gets a 'No' for the 'Wireless' category. Technically speaking, we know it connects to the console using a wire, but in terms of the gameplay experience surely it couldn't be more wireless.
It's getting silly.

Square Enix is remaking classic Japanese Super NES strategy game Tactics Ogre for the PSP.
According to Famitsu magazine (thanks 1UP), the PSP version is called Tactics Ogre: Wheel of Fate. It'll retain the look of the original 1995 game, but be in 3D, enabling players to move the camera around for a better view of the battle field.
No release date is included in the report. Nor is word of a Western release. The original SNES game was never released outside of Japan, although a PlayStation port was later released in North America.

EA has announced that Shank will be released on 24th August on PlayStation Network and 25th August on Xbox Live Arcade.
The game will cost 1200 Microsoft Points on XBLA or $14.99 on PSN.
Shank is made by developer Klei and caught Eurogamer's eye back at GDC.
The idea's fairly standard: you're macho murderer in a 2D platform world, and you're going to cause a hell of a lot of carnage. The exciting part seems to be the execution, which is crisp, vibrant and powerful.

Sony has recently published patents which will allow two-player 3D gaming on a single screen. The new technology could spell an end to split-screen gaming, but is unlikely to see the light of day for a few years at least. Sony's method would allow player one to see frames one and three whilst player two would see frames two and four. Current technology requires a display with a 120 Hz refresh rate so it seems likely that we'll have to wait for 240Hz screen technology to become commonplace before two-player 3D becomes a reality. PDFs versions of the two patents are available.

Toys, books and clothes will accompany the blockbuster launch of Star Wars: Force Unleashed II on October 29th.
LucasArts is treating the upcoming sequel as a true ‘event launch’ similar to a Star Wars movie. The firm adopted a similar tactic for the first Force Unleashed, which went on to sell over seven million units across the globe.
“We see Force Unleashed as a big Star Wars event,” said LucasArts executive producer Haden Blackman.
“We feel like it is a genuine part of the Star Wars lore and it continues the saga. So licensing is fully behind it and we are doing most of the stuff you would expect from a major Star Wars launch.
“We definitely know that people who never played a Star Wars video game before decided to get Force Unleashed because they read the graphic novel or the book, and wanted to see how it played out in the game. And we’ve seen those who own the game buy toys and books, too.”
Although the original Force Unleashed received positive press, Star Wars games have had a chequered critical history. Blackman says LucasArts is now desperate to avoid poor-quality games so not to damage the Star Wars brand.
“Star Wars fans have been forgiving over the years,” Blackman added.
“But we don’t take that for granted. We are so paranoid about tarnishing Star Wars. We want to make every game as good as possible, but it doesn’t always work out that way.
“The Force Unleashed II is a better game. Whether it reviews or sells as well, I have no idea.”
Other new Star Wars games in the works include LEGO Star Wars III and Star Wars for Kinect. And LucasArts is also looking at creating titles for Sony’s motion-sensing controller, PlayStation Move.
“We looked at Move quite extensively,” said Blackman.
“As a company we are very supportive of both Move and Kinect. We are keenly interested in finding the right games to support that specific motion-sensing technology.
“We have people internally at LucasArts who are actively looking at it.”
