I (if you write a news-artivle please use the name "Sunny") released 2 levelpacks of the homebrew game "Laserix 3". If you don't know what Laserix 3 is:
It's a puzzle game. The aim is to redirect the laser so he hits all diamonds. But there are some objects you shouldn't hit.
I released Levelpack 1 a few days ago and this is the changelog:
15 new level
update function
you can change the cannon angle manually (or you can deactivate this function)
you can enable a timer (or you can deactivate this function)
option- and pause-menu
new titlescreen and menu background

[NID Calculator]

[What is this?]
This is a simple tool to calculate the Name IDentifiers of functions. They are used to identify the imports/exports of a module.
[License]
This tool is licensed under the GNU GPL v3. You can therefore freely modify it to suit your needs. All you need are the Qt4 Libraries.
[Install]
For Linux: copy the binary in the linux folder to the /home/username/bin. You can run it directly as well.
Versions for other platforms are not available yet. The source code should be fully portable, so anyone who wishes to publish a Windows/... compile is free to do so.

Hi there,
There doesn't seem to be a lot of applications for this competition. I shall put mine in. 
SHELL 0.4 b 690
SHELL is a PSP XMB replacement application. It is developed in C and is still in the early stages of development. It aims at eventually replacing the functions of the XMB. It works on 5.00 M33, 5.03 CFW, 5.50 CFW and should work with 4.01 M33 (untested).
A long jump from last release (289)
Lots of bug fixes and new functions.
Functions not implemented show a 8002013C error.

Tieumtieum has launched its portage PSFreedom for Archos 5 IMT running image angstrom e17 ( kernel 2.6.22.1 - omap1 ) , which lets you turn your internet tablet Jailbreak for PS3 .
Use:
- Check that your Archos uses well Angstrom E17
- Rename in psfreedom.ko :
* psfreedom_bdemu.ko ( support for backups )
or
* psfreedom_nobdemu.ko ( only homebrew )
- then run the command

Brandon Wilson has launched its porting PSGroove calculators for Texas Instruments 84 Plus and SE, which lets you turn your calculator into Jailbreak for PS3 .
The exploit only works on the two models listed and does not launch backups yet.
Use:
- Make a backup of important things on your calculator to avoid any loss in case of reset of the RAM.
- Then transfer the application " PS3JB.8XK " on your TI -84 Plus or TI - 84 Plus Silver Edition through the appropriate software for your platform :
* Mac OS X : Connect IT
* Windows : TI Connect or TiLP
* Linux : TiLP
Under Windows, for example, you can use " IT DeviceExplorer " then perform a drag and drop the file or right click and choose "send to IT Device . "
- Once the application is transferred, you should see " PS3JB "in the menu of your applications ( by pressing the [ APPS ]) .
- Run the application.
- After the start screen, press a button to display the menu:
A ) PS3 Jailbreak
2 ) View Log
3 ) About
4) Quit
- To launch the exploit , select option 1.
- You can then follow the usual.

Heres some news from the official site regarding the PSP Emulator for Windows
Hello, Hykem here!
Since the last news update there have been some major fixes and upgrades to JPCSP, which haven't been posted here.
However, following the forum moving, jpcsp.org will finally undergo some big changes, starting with the more regular news briefing.
So, let's start with a new game report: "Harvest Moon: Hero of the Leaf Valley".
In the latest revisions, this 6.20 firmware game is now fully playable with just a small graphical bug (misplaced character's shadow) and lack of background music (undecodable AT3+ audio).

Here is the version of HTC PSFreedom Desire running a rom Open Desire 4.0.4 which lets you turn your phone Jailbreak PS3 .
Use:
Place the files on your psFreedom SDCard
To activate:
- Reboot in recovery
- Flashing enable psFreedom "(version homebrew or backups BDMV - support )
- Reboot on Open Desire
To disable:
- Reboot in recovery
- Flashing disable psFreedom "
- Reboot on Open Desire
It 'll just follow the usual procedure. Unplug your PS3 , connect your HTC Desire on it , plug your console, and press power button shortly " Eject " . Now let the magic play .

drk||Raziel has answered a dream of mine, he is looking into porting his Dreamcast Emulator NullDC to the PS3, heres whats posted on his blog:
Well, sometimes you just can’t get free from your projects as easily as you want to. So, seeing as there wasn’t much interest in nulldc’s source I started to work at it again ! (And yes, of course it will remain open source).
So, I’m officially again working on nullDC! There’s a bank of ideas on the wiki on what I plan to do. We’re also planning to get the project side back up and stuff.
Leaving that aside, I’d also like to ask for donations. The project hasn’t really asked for donations so far (except specific cases, like the Pandora port that required hardware to be brought). As I’m running quite low on money I’ll open up donations for the project.
Donated money will be used for: Getting a ps3, porting/working on nullDC/pcsx2 for ps3, getting a jtag’d xbox to port stuff to it, and finally to pay for server/misc hardware fees.

Porting PSFreedom for Android phones based on a chip MSM72K being terminated , the 1st bit for different phones of this family began to arrive .
This one is about the Nexus One phone running a ROM 2.2 ( not Sense and type Cyanogen 6 for example) .
Use:
- Copy psfreedom.ko at the root of the SD
- Reboot in fastboot mode
- Start fastboot boot.img boot that here from the archive
. / boot fastboot boot.img
- Then once cyanogen craft terminal and type:
su root
cd / sdcard
insmod psfreedom.ko

The PS3 Homebrew/Hacking Scene just gets more interesting and Waninkoko of Wii Custom Firmware Fame has released PSFreedom for Dingoo, so whilst many others pay over the odds for the PSjailbreak you can just use one Homebrew Handheld to hack into your PS3 and turn your PS3 into a Homebrew Machine

Announced last week , Waninkoko released a port of the handheld PSFreedom Dingoo A320 , allowing to use it as a dongle Jailbreak PS3 .
Use:
1 . Place the zImage file on your mini - SD card ( important : be sure to choose the file that work with your LCD screen !) .
2 . Start Dingux and wait to boot the kernel completely.
3. It 'll just connect your PS3 to your Dingoo and follow the usual procedure. Unplug your PS3 , connect your Dingoo on it , plug your console , and press power button shortly "Eject ". Now let the magic play .
Note: the patch for the kernel is present in the archive to the " kernel - patch " . This patch was created to be applied at the beginning of the branch opendingux 2.6.35 kernel .

While the white PS3 Slim pictured above decidedly belongs to Japan, the "Classic White" DualShock 3 alongside has just appeared for preorder at e-tailers based in the US. Now, we wouldn't go so far as to claim that an ivory 160GB game system will follow this controller across the Pacific, but let's just say we won't be surprised if Sony reveals one anyhow before these preorders (tentatively) ship on October 15th. After all, Sony already sells a "Ceramic White" controller, and unless you're attempting to match colors, a single shade of eggshell paint is generally all you need.

Despite the clones significantly less expensive and alternatives , PS jailbreak developers do not seem to give up and expect to sell their product .
However, the date of delivery to dealers , already delayed several days ( originally scheduled on August 27 and on 30/31 August) will be further amended, as an authorized dealer , with delivery expected this time between 7 and 10 September.
The reason for this further delay would be a modification of the modchip to respond to the request of Sony but also an update to make it more difficult to copy the chip , thereby limiting the clones .
Also note that the retailer in question, who wishes to remain anonymous , said he now apply a cancellation fee of around 10% , probably to limit the damage created by commercial clones and standard solutions PSFreedom or PSGroove .
Thats if Sony doesnt stop the sellling if it altogether

Regarding the owners of an iPhone , after several days of strong doubts on the possibility of using it for the jailbreak, it seems that the sky is cleared following the news on MuscleNerd Twiiter indicating that the porting PSGroove on the Apple phone was underway and close to being finalized . He has also published a video demonstrating the control of the Iphone on a USB development board .

blake_zero proposes a modified version of PSFreedom , originally used on Nokia N900, allowing the jailbreak your PS3 with this time a Palm Pre .
The archive contains the sources and the module pre -built to use directly on your Palm Pre.
Use:
1. Connect your Palm to your PC first drive mode and copy the file on it psfreedom.ko
2 . Log in ssh on your first (or open the terminal application ) and then run the command :
insmod / media / internal / psfreedom.ko
- Then follow the usual procedure , unplug your PS3, connect your Palm Pre on it , plug your console , press power button shortly and " Eject " . Now let the magic play .
Important note : After using your PalmPre for this feat, you need to do a complete restart of your phone to restore the USB functions.
