Expect to find a 30-day trial for PlayStation Plus, a $10 voucher for the PlayStation Store, and a 30-day trial for Music Unlimited in your new PS4 if you live in the US or Canada. Sony has announced via the PlayStation Blog that, for a limited time, new consoles will come with these three pack-ins to help new users get all nice and comfy with their shiny new box.
While PS Plus will be required for online multiplayer on the PS4, you'll also get access to the Instant Game Collection and the ability to cloud-save your games. The PS4 will also limit your music-listening options to Music Unlimited - which is kind of ironic when you think about it - so if you want to crank some tunes, the trial will get you started.
The $10 voucher is arguably the real treat here, as you can use it however you like in the PlayStation Store. Movies, games, TV shows and more will be available on your new PS4, but if you're a Call of Duty fan, you've probably already noticed that $10 is the same amount it will cost to upgrade from a PS3 copy of Call of Duty: Ghosts to a PS4 copy.
Update: Note that Ghosts isn't the only game that can be upgraded for $10.Battlefield 4 will also be available to upgrade for the same price, as willAssassin's Creed 4: Black Flag and Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition.

Tiny Brains, the multiplayer puzzler from former Ubisoft developers at Spearhead Games, will come to PS4 on November 26. Tiny Brains has been on a rodent-sized roller coaster over the past few weeks: First it wasn't included in the PS4 launch lineup announced on October 30, then it was added, and then it was removed on November 6.
It's OK though – we spent some time with Tiny Brains at E3 and we're pretty sure its super-powered mouse, rabbit, gerbil and naked mole rat can handle a few extra bumps. Tiny Brains should hit PS3 and PC in early December, and it's not in development for Xbox 360, publisher 505 Games told Polygon.

In terms of fighting games for the PSP, some of the official Naruto releases remain the strongest in the genre on Sony's handheld. While these large budget titles still exist for your purchasing pleasure, Shaplayer has made hos own homebrew game called Naruto Ultimate Ninja Battle. Much like the real releases, this one centers around basic combat between various characters in the series. having not seen much of it myself, you'll have to excuse my ambiguity.
What I can say however, is that version 3.6 of this game both looks and feels like a pretty well-tuned effort. There are a full thirty-six fighters to choose from, and each one has their own basic special attack moves and updated animation sprites. In my time with the game, I happened to notice that many of them fought almost the exact same, but the real thrill here might be in reenacting your favorite duels from the popular franchise rather than mechanics. In that same vein comes the new text-driven story mode. The writing of course is not top notch, but you can still tell that a true fan is headlining the project.
This game isn't the most full-featured brawler ever, but considering the limitations of homebrew, this is a decent product based on a much-beloved series.

The update files were removed from the SONY update server. Since it is unclear if this was firmware version 1.00 or 1.50, let's hope there was some mistake made by SONY here which helps us in future ---------- UPDATE END ---------- Best regards,

Recently I have read Wololo's article "Best PSP/Vita Homebrew for November 2013" and noticed that my quite old "SKFU's VITA Pr0xy" is still being used by many people.
Sadly I kinda' missed to release an updated version of my proxy software anytime. Thanks to the great feedback for my old proxy, here comes the very new one: "SKFU's Pr0xy".
I did remove the "VITA" from it's name since it changed a lot after the release of my old proxy server software, I don't want people to think it is a limited to PSV piece of software. It definitely is not!
But what it is and what it got:
- The most user-friendly Windows Pr0xy
- Keyword filter
- Filter plugin support (users can create and share plugins)
- Rules by traffic direction
- Import & Export of rules
- Blacklist
- Raw data modification
- Fast de-/encode
- SSL Filter
- DNS Lookup
- and a lot more...
Downloads
Note: If you choose the ZIP archive,
please make sure to have VC Redists and Apache with OpenSSL installed!

via http://wololo.net/2013/11/04/ps3-sce...-crash-appear/
Some of you might say ‘ps3 scene isn’t as good as psp scene’ or ‘i’ve had more fun with my portable console than with the one on my living room’. Well, that may change in the near future, as two interesting things surface on the ps3 scene.
One of them is plugin loading on vsh. Developer user figured out (thanks to the sources recently released by cobra for their usb device) that it is possible to load vsh plugins on the ps3! Some interesting plugins such as ‘Hypervisor Debug Log’ (remote Peek & Poke) and ‘webMAN‘ are now available and they let you do all sorts of cool things, like playing with lv1/lv2 memory, mounting internal disc games on-the-fly and debug the hypervisor by a specific call. All of these require prx loader, here.
What a nice addition to the ps3 scene
Another thing recently surfaced was a savegame crash that (like the name implies) crashes the game. the game in question is fifa 2009, and the method in use is similar to the ones that appear on the psp scene, the buffer overflow exploits. since fifa 09 uses a profile save with your name on it you can extend the name until it overwrites a register in memory
Unfortunately, the person in question only managed to crash the game, and no further development was made. Who knows, maybe this could introduce savegame exploits to the ps3 scene, turning it a bit like the psp scene…
On light of these two events, i can honestly say that the tides are changing and the ps3 development area is starting to look as cool as the psp counter part. What is your opinion?

via http://wololo.net/2013/11/08/tn-v4-f...ked-questions/
Since there are a lot of questions regarding the upcoming TN-V4 release, I decided to write this FAQ about the TN-V4 update and the future kernel mode exploit. Let’s get started!
At first, let’s clarify what TN-V4 actually is.
TN-V4 stands for Total_Noob V4. It is an eCFW (emulator Custom Firmware) for the PS Vita devices. It will be the 4th revision of said eCFW, and adds some new features, fixes bugs of TN-V3 and TN-V4 will be shipped for every firmware (At the time of the release) of the PS Vita. This would, at the moment, cover firmwares 1.00 up to 3.00. This will get rid of the above/below firmware 2.02 gap, that we at the moment have.
What can we do with TN-V4?
TN-V4 is the most popular PS Vita eCFW. It does not only support the playback of game backups (ISO, CSO), but also supports the usage of Plugins (VSH, GAME, POPS), PSN titles (PS1, PSP), Homebrews, 1.5 kernel Homebrews and even custom PS1 backup.
The best and unique feature, which just TN-V offers, is the complete PSP XMB. You get the operating UI of the PSP, including the VSH and Recovery Menu. Using VSH plugins like Dayviewer or CXMB? No problem with TN-V.
TN-V can also access the PSP PSN Store, so you can download all your PSP related PSN titles, even if your PS Vita firmware is not the most recent. Those downloaded titles will just appear inside of TN-V, not at your Vitas LiveArea. Downloading of PS3 or PS Vita content won’t be possible.
And who knows, Total_Noob might have some more surprises for us.
Can I use TN-V4 at my PS Vita? I have ‘insert exploit game’ and I am running the firmware ‘insert firmware version’?
This depends on your PS Vita firmware and the games you own. Just look at the following list, and you will know if your game/firmware will support TN-V4.
The ‘YES’ just applies, if your firmware is low enough.
For example: Running TN-V4 with Apache Overkill is possible at firmware 1.80, at 2.02 and also on 2.06.
But if your firmware is 2.12, then you won’t be able to use it with Apache Overkill.
I am using a Vita Half Byte Loader (VHBL), can I upgrade to TN-V?
If you are using a VHBL at the moment, then you will be able to upgrade to TN-V4. The day the files get released, you will be able to upgrade from VHBL to TN-V4.
When can we download TN-V4? Can I be a beta tester?
Total_Noob himself said, that he wants to release TN-V4 for every known PS Vita exploit somewhere between November 2013 and January 2014.
TN said that TN-V4 is pretty much finished, so I would guess that he does not need any new beta testers.
Firmware 3.00 (and newer) are missing in your above answer. Does TN-V4 not support firmware 3.00?
Total_Noobs 4th revision of his TN eCFW will of course supports the firmware 3.00, but for that we need a new exploit game, which isn’t publicly known yet.
There will be a new exploit game for the 3.00 TN-V4 release, but until then be sure to have a Wololo.net account, which is in a good stand. Registered users will see a ninja release, at least, 1 day before we publicly announce the new exploit game.
Does TN-V support my PS Vita Slim (PSV 2000) or PS Vita TV (PSV TV) device?
To be honest, we don’t know it YET, but we expect that TN-V will just run fine at both of these new hardware models. If you own one of these devices, feel free to try to get the TN-V exploit, because there is a high chance that it will work.
Should I update to firmware ‘insert firmware’ and use ‘insert exploit game’ instead of my current exploit game?
This is entirely your choice.
Updating the firmware will offer you every new feature of the new firmware, including the ability to play Vita games that require a new firmware.
The only difference between the firmwares is, that you have to know which exploit game is for which firmware. The second interesting difference will be explained in the last part.
Is there a major difference between running TN-V4 at a lower or higher firmware?
There is one major difference in using TN-V4 at a lower or higher firmware, and that gap is at firmware 2.12.
If you are running TN-V4 at firmware 2.12 or below, you will be able to get nearly the full 64MB of RAM, which enables you to use plugins and homebrews that were made for the PSP 2000 series and later PSP models. Your TN-V4 eCFW is basically a PSP 2000.
If you are running TN-V4 at firmware 2.50 or above, you will be able to just get the normal 32MB of RAM, which will let your TN-V4 eCFW act like a PSP 1000. This prevents the usage of PSP 2000 (or later models) plugins and homebrews.
Do you have any Firmware/Exploit game recommendations, The Z?
It is recommended to use firmware 2.12 and Fieldrunners for getting the best experience of the TN-V4 eCFW, because that way you are able to get the 64MB of RAM, the fastest launching exploit game (ever), and TN-V4 itself.
If you want to use the 32MB variant of TN-V4, then it might be recommended to use firmware 3.00 and the new exploit game, that we still have to announce. That way you’ll get TN-V4 and PS4 compatibility.
In the end it is your choice which exploit and firmware you want to use, but keep in mind, that the first firmware AFTER the TN-V4 release WILL fix TN-V4 and that the next public release of yet another eCFW might take again 6-12 months, maybe forever.

Microsoft may have dropped a whole lot of news on us today, but that doesn't mean Sony hasn't got a few surprises up its sleeve. With just a week until the PlayStation 4 hits stores in North America, the company has revealed a trio of surprises for PlayStation 4 buyers when they receive their units on launch day. As part of a special promotion, Sony will include $10 credit for its PlayStation Store, which can be used to against games, music or movies, a free 30-day membership to PlayStation Plus and a 30-day trial for its Music Unlimited streaming service. Sony appears to be onboarding gamers in the hope they'll enjoy its multiplayer gaming and media services enough to stump up the cash for a full subscription. The company says the offer is available for a limited period, and that its music offer will only apply to new users.

It may already be sold out at most stores but Sony is still spending more money than ever has on promoting the PlayStation 4.
The blockbuster marketing campaign includes a multi-million pound in-store PlayStation rebrand.
Alongside the usual TV, cinema, outdoor, print and digital advertising, Sony has partnered up with Tinie Tempah to target casual players, while long-term fans were treated to a video taking in 18 years of the PlayStation brand.
The ‘For the Players Since 1995’ trailer has now been viewed over 10m times since it was released on October 21st.
“This will be our largest, most ambitious launch campaign in PlayStation’s history,”?said SCE UK?marketing director Murray Pannell. “We can’t wait to get PS4’s in people’s hands so they can experience the excitement for themselves.”

Sony has filed a number of patents that could indicate a PS4 virtual reality headset is on the way.
The patents, which detail an audio system and head mounted display, were first spotted on popular web forumNeoGAF.
Highlighted within the audio system patents are methods of alerting players to real-world emergencies, while details of the head mounted display refer detail head motion detection and imagine stabilisation.
Both patents together would certainly indicate a device capable of rivalling the Oculus Rift.
Revealed yesterday, the patents were filed by Sony back in May 2013. Internally, the device has been demonstrated with first-party racing title DriveClub.
The device is expected to make its debut next year, with a potential reveal scheduled for Gamescom 2014.

Sony confirmed this morning the line-up of apps that'll be available when thePlayStation 4 launches next Friday. Many apps are those first announced at thePlayStation 4 reveal event back in February, including the "how can you not have these at launch?" offerings of: Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Instant Video.
Also available November 15 are Crackle, Crunchyroll, EPIX, NBA Game Time, NHL GameCenter, Redbox, VUDU and YuppTV. In case you're wondering, that last one offers "150 Indian TV channels Live and on demand, including a selection of over 600 movies."
If you live purely in a Sony ecosystem, fear not, for the company's Music Unlimited and Video Unlimited will also be available. Gonna need something to do between Knack breaks.
