RPG uses new game engine codenamed Panta Rhei to create procedurally generated dungeons
Capcom’s fantasy RPG for PS4 will be free-to-play, it has revealed.
The title was first revealed during Sony’s PS4 reveal in February as a PS4 exclusive, developed by Street Fighter creator Yoshinori Ono.
Deep Down also uses Capcom’s new game engine codenamed Panta Rhei.
An open Beta for the title is being planned for February near the PS4’s launch in Japan.
The RPG, which supports four-player multiplayer online, takes place in New York during 2094, and tasks players with defeating monsters such as dragons through a series of procedurally generated dungeons.

The developer known as Richard Sparrow originally thought that work on his PSPInstaller app had finished. However, apparently there is one more tiny revision to report. As of now, version 10-1309151920 has been released to patch a navigation bug. The fix is not available as a standalone download. You can access it from within the utility by going to About > Update. Once it has finished, you'll be able to download all of the aging homebrew that you heart desires.
Who needs computers and a USB cable when hundreds of the latest brews can be downloaded directly to your PSP? For more information and a base download feel free to click the links below! The PSP scene once again proves that its existence will never fade. Hopefully more changes will be coming soon!

For those who haven't played Battleship before, the object of the game is quite simple. As the player, you place a series of differently-sized ships on a grid any place you like. Then your opponent calls out the coordinates to guess their locations. As both combatants continue to fire off target areas, the match ends when one side's ships have all been found. This exact explanation may not be the best one in the world, but most of you probably have some prior experience with Battleship anyway.
At any rate, this new PSP homebrew release by ABCanG is essentially a PSP version of that old board game. You use the d-pad and X to place your ships, while the triggers are used to rotate them vertically or horizontally. Once the locations have been plotted, X is again used to find your opponents ships on the grid. This particular version has both a CPU and and ADHOC mode of play for fun by yourself or with your buddies. Both the PSP and the game of Battleship have aged over the years, but this doesn't mean this experience is any less engaging than it should be!

Three weeks ago, we’ve revealed that not only one, but 4 different games were exploitable for the usage of the Vita Half Byte Loader. Since Sony removed those games after merely 50 hours, it had been impossible to exploit the PS Vita with the firmware 2.60. A few days later followed the firmware 2.61, which apparently fixed the vulnerability in all 4 exploit games, rendered VHBL useless and, once again, let us decide what we prefer – Access to the Playstation Network services, or access to the huge Homebrew library, that the PSP(emulator) offers.Sony did not even just remove the games for the Playstation Network, but even removed the games from the download list of their customers, which is illegal in some countries in Europe (e.g. Germany), since it refuses the usage of an already paid service (the digital copy of the now pulled games). A refund could be demanded, which some people even got.
But don’t be desperate, because Sony just brought those games back to the PSN and the download list. If you own one of those exploit games, then its possible to download these games via your PSP, PS Vita, PC or PS3, so you can play them again. There is still one bad news: Sony fixed the FW 2.61 bypass method via Charles Proxy some hours before they’ve brought the games back. Bad luck or a coincidence?

Right now, the Vita TV has only been announced for Japan, China and South Korea, and that's a damn shame, at least for those of us over in the west. I was able to test out the little box's two main functions (big-screen Vita games and PS4 Remote Play) during last week's Tokyo Game Show kerfuffle, and the (approximately) $100 device did exactly what it says on the tin.
My multiplayer Soul Sacrifice Delta session involved one Vita TV and three of the new Vita PCH-2000s, all networked together without any obvious complications. The game controlled well despite being co-opted onto a DualShock 3, ran smoothly and looked surprisingly good on the big screen. In fact, my repeated deaths at the hands of my own incompetence were the only discouraging part of the demonstration.
The Vita TV's PlayStation 4 Remote Play functionality also works surprisingly well from a mechanical standpoint, and I can totally see owning a Vita TV as a PS4-centric media extender for a bedroom or office. There was no perceptible input lag and Knack ran smooth as a whistle, though it's worth pointing out that my test was under optimal conditions – real-world mileage likely varies. Still, what I saw of the Vita TV was very promising overall.

Monster Hunter Frontier G is coming to Vita in 2014 in Japan, and it will allow cross-play and data transfer between PS3 and Vita, Capcom announced at TGS.Monster Hunter Frontier G is slated to hit PS3 and Wii U this year, also in Japan.
Monster Hunter Frontier is an MMO first launched in 2007 on PC, and in 2010 on Xbox 360. Frontier G is an update to that version and is similarly subscription-based, even on Vita. The Vita version will not include every level of the full console game, but it will have "several PS3 worlds," Siliconera reports.
Capcom previously denied rumors that Monster Hunter 4 was on its way to Vita. Check out screens of Monster Hunter Frontier G on Vita on its official site.

When Gran Turismo 6 launches on December 6, it will come with a sizable patch. The day-one patch will primarily address a few issues with the game's online features, Polyphony Digital boss Kazunori Yamauchi told Eurogamer, adding that the developer is "still overflowing with stuff we'd like to do. So I think the day one patch will be a fairly large patch."
Yamauchi noted the patch isn't out of the ordinary for the developer, as Gran Turismo 5 was updated shortly after the game's launch. "It's the same every time. Everything's very tight. It's an incredibly tight schedule," Yamauchi said. "As to being able to include everything we want to on day one, we probably won't be able to. I think for the 12 months following the release we'll continue to update the software. Because in Gran Turismo 6 we're preparing a lot of different things we haven't even touched on yet."

Sony is "very encouraged" by the Western response to its Vita TV, the device that will be capable of playing Vita games and streaming PS4 games, Sony Computer Entertainment CEO Andrew House told Eurogamer on Friday. The Vita TV is currently only planned for release in Japan on November 14, withlater releases reaching China and South Korea.
House explained that Sony is launching the Vita TV in Japan first because "there is no existing competitor in the region for the device, whereas streaming media boxes in the West are more commonplace."
In a separate interview, Sony Japan executive Masayasu Ito noted that the company would have to "watch the environment and identify what other services are available" before they decide to launch the Vita TV in the US or Europe. Until Sony makes their decision, you can take the pre-emptive route and see which Vita games are planned to be supported by the Vita TV. If it remains in Asia for eternity, however, well... there's always the Super Game Boy.

Lone Survivor: The Director's Cut will brave the dark on the Vita and PS3 on September 24, the PlayStation Blog announced on Friday. The Director's Cut will include "20 new items, new endings, and new game locations," as well as a tweaked lighting system and support for touch on the Vita. It will also be Cross Buy and Cross Save compatible, meaning you can scare yourself silly wherever you'd like.
Lone Survivor follows a masked protagonist's attempt at escaping a disease-ridden city. The game supports different styles of play, allowing for reserved sneaking or the guns-blazing approach, assuming enough bullets can be found for it. Proper character management plays a role as well - the right amount of rest and food can be supplemented with drugs, but fudging up any one element too severely risks the character's well-being, including his mental health.

Gran Turismo 6 developer Polyphony Digital aims to have a "fairly large" update ready for the game's launch day, according to series creator Kazunori Yamauchi.
"It's an incredibly tight schedule. As to being able to include everything we want to on day one, we probably won't be able to," Yamauchi toldEurogamer.
"I think for the 12 months following the release we'll continue to update the software. Because in Gran Turismo 6 we're preparing a lot of different things we haven't even touched on yet," he added.
Yamauchi says improvements to the game's multiplayer mode are among the things he aims to include in the day-one patch.
"I can be almost certain that there'll be a day one patch applied," he said. "The online features are already working - we'll be updating it with a day one patch, and we're still overflowing with stuff we'd like to do. So I think the day one patch will be a fairly large patch."
Sony has confirmed a global Gran Turismo 6 release date of December 6.
As announced earlier this week, the firm is celebrating the 15th Year Anniversary of Gran Turismo with a new documentary titled 'KAZ: Pushing the Virtual Divide'.
The production, said to be 'coming soon', will shine the spotlight on Kazunori Yamauchi.

PES 2014 has hit shop shelves in US today (yesterday in EU) with a day-one patch that must be installed to play the Friendly Match Lobby, Ranking Match and Master League Online multiplayer modes.
This is the first of two patches, Konami detailed in an announcement today, the second coming "in the weeks after the initial launch" adding 11 vs. 11 multiplayer features.
The second patch will also add "new matchmaking support systems [that] will place similarly ranked players together for a deliberately balanced match". At this point the available modes will represent the "full online suite for PES 2014", says Konami.
In our PES 2014 review, we said: "Despite its clear issues, PES 2014 remains a worthwhile upgrade to the series, with all-round improved gameplay and a roster of well built modes. Master League remains as deep as ever, now allowing you to manage a national team. Become a Legend returns too, accompanied by a whole host of new leagues and competitions."
Review scores from other publications have been mostly positive. Here's a PES 2014 review round-up.

Sony has announced that its recently-revealed PlayStation Vita TV device will be able to stream PS3 games using the company's Gaikai technology.Vita TV will cost 9480 yen (£63) and launch in Japan on 14th November.
But Sony could still not confirm European launch plans for either Vita TV or its PS3-streaming service, Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida told Eurogamer at Tokyo Games Show."We'd like to offer a variety of games because the fun of server-based services like Netflix is you just want to browse through," Yoshida explained when I asked how expansive the service's launch catalogue might be."Like movies, you can start to watch five minutes and if you're bored you can move on to something else. [Also,] we have to make sure the games work through the internet. We have to go through certification for each title. So we'll start with a selection and then work from there."Sony Computer Entertainment Europe boss Jim Ryan explained earlier in the month that PS3 game streaming would begin in North America in early 2014. European gamers will have to wait longer, however - due to our continent's less-spectacular broadband capabilities. To combat that, Sony is currently striking deals with ISPs such as Virgin and Orange to ensure "bits of the pipe are left open for gamers".Whenever it does launch, the Gaikai-powered PS3 streaming will also be available on PlayStation 4, Vita and PlayStation 3.

When the PlayStation 4 launches this November, the PlayStation Eye camera will enable you to sign into the console using just your face. Unlike its Microsoft counterpart, Kinect, the Eye won't allow much more control of the system. At least not initially. "At the time of launch, first the face recognition is for the purpose of logging in," SVP and Division President of Business Division 1 at Sony Computer Entertainment Masayasu Ito told Engadget in an interview this afternoon.
Beyond face recognition for log in -- something Sony's still not shown to the press or public -- PS4 users with an Eye will also be able to use voice "from the game page." Ito said, "Game titles could be called in and then the game could start." But in the future, Ito said the PS4's camera will go further. There's no voice or gesture command in the UI beyond what's described above, but he foresees more in-game use. "That's as far as it goes, but continuous updates, it can go deeper. Make it with greater depth. With face recognition, we think about how that could be used in the context of the game," he said. He sadly wouldn't go further, but demos like The Playroom -- a game that's included on the PS4 at launch -- offer an example of how the Eye will work in games. As for more UI control, well, we're hopeful that that's part of the "continuous updates" Ito promised.

The PlayStation 4 launches on November 15th. Well, it does in the US. For Japanese gamers, they're going to have to wait over three months before they're able to buy Sony's next-gen console. But why? A lot of Japanese gamers are not happy, and SCEJA's CEO excused the later launch, saying that the company needed more time to ensure the game selection was up to standard for Japanese audiences. However, it wasn't quite enough to quash complaints from its native fans. In a roundtable interview at TGS 2013 with Sony's SVP of PlayStation hardware, Masayasu Ito explained that in Japan, its portable devices continue to sell well -- in comparison to Europe and the US. Thus, the company decided to launch the PS4 in the west first, where there was already "much more excitement" about next-generation consoles. (It also explains why Sony Computer Entertainment Japan focused on refreshed Vita hardware and the Vita TV before this year's Tokyo Game Show even began).
"Until now, we've placed emphasis on the launch titles that are ready for Europe and the US... As I said, in Japan, portable devices are selling very well. So, first and foremost, gaming titles released in Japan would be first for Vita and portables. That's why the PS4 will come later." However, that's not to say that Sony Japan's game studios aren't already at work on PS4 titles: Knack, for example, is being developed in the Land of the Rising Sun. "Our worldwide studios look at worldwide titles rather than directing attention to the Japan-centric titles. So what's being worked on in Japan is not Japanese-specific, but could (also) be applied on a worldwide basis." He added that Japan will see around 19 games at launch, with "continuous titles" appearing after that. As a note, both the US and European PS4s can expect roughly 33 games within a "launch window" that will last until the end of 2013.

Though the PlayStation Vita TV isn't coming to the US and Europe yet, demand for the microconsole is high
Sony Computer Entertainment
Sony Computer Entertainment is a Japanese videogame company specialising in a variety of areas in the...
playstation.com
When the PlayStation Vita TV was announced, Sony revealed that the microconsole is launching in Japan only, with forthcoming releases in other Asian markets. Unfortunately, there's no planned release for Vita TV in North America or Europe, leading some to question when the West will see the console. Sony Japan executive Masayasu Ito told Eurogamer that the Western interest in Vita TV has been "strong... more than we expected".
"Of course we are thinking of launching it in the US and Europe," he added. "But when it comes to the timing, we'll have to watch the environment and identify what other services are available in the US and Europe and whether we'll have to add other services."
The Vita TV will be launching with Japanese-only video services like Nico-Nico Douga and Tsutaya TV. The Vita has equivalent Western services like Netflix, Hulu, and YouTube, but there may be some optimization needed before those apps can work on Vita TV.
Sony Computer Entertainment boss Andrew House explained another reason for the Vita TV's Asian market focus: the lack of competition.
"The reason we wanted to launch PlayStation Vita TV in Japan first was because we think that there is a significant gap in this market even for a pure streamed TV box," he said. "There isn't really a competitor here that's staked out a claim. And frankly, in my own view, Japan is a little behind the adoption curve in video streaming services."
"So we thought we could have an opportunity in Japan to really establish a leadership position by having an addition differentiated killer app - which is having our huge library of streaming games content. The landscape is different elsewhere. [Some of Vita TV's capabilities] are already part and parcel of how consumers view media there. We need to look at each of those markets and how we approach them."
