Ubisoft's officially announced its first Driver game since acquiring the franchise in 2006 - Driver 76, which is skidding onto PSP.
The game's being developed by Sumo Digital and Ubisoft's Reflections studio and, remaining faithful to the series action-driving formula, drops players into an authentic New York of 1976 where they'll be ploughing their way through 27 new Driver missions spanning six plots (all of which act as a prequel to Driver Parallel Lines' 70s events).
So, car chases and on-foot sections in open environments, Ubisoft further explaining that "Players can take side jobs, earning cash that can be used to modify their rides. Driver 76 also offers an extensive multiplayer mode and a host of mini-games ranging from street races to all out carnage in Destruction Derby mode."
Plus, download content is planned - in the shape of new paint jobs for vehicles you've collected. Driver 76 is due in March.

Hi,
Let me start by saying the CE 0.62 was a great success, and thanks to all the PSP USER'S out there, who downloaded it. The CE 0.62 was a massive update in terms of hardwork, put into it, by Ric, Thinkp and myself. Also Hungry Horace and Emuchicken, for helping test and package it.
Now, on to the NEWS.
Been chatting to Ric, and heres whats going on. Ric and Thinkp have been working on ways to utilise the Media Engine (2nd CPU of PSP). Although the ME beta has sound running from the ME CPU, its far from perfect. Running the sound from the ME, might be dumped, as it does'nt seem to yield any benefits. There is already 0.63 Beta 1, being tested to confirm this.
The 2nd idea, is to move other functions to the ME, this will lift the load on the Main CPU, and hopefully increase speed that way. 1 such function is the Screen Rendering, the idea is to split it in half, run half the rendering on Main CPU and the other half on the ME CPU.
Ric has also made some other optimizations to pspuae to help with speed, so its onwards and upwards for PSPUAE. 1 Optimization, is Ric's profiling code, that does yield some speed increases, he is working on applying it to the ME CPU.
First, you must understand, that it means alot of coding. Ric and Thinkp are working on it when they get chance. So dont expect a release for at least a month or 2 (could be longer). Also remember, the ME CPU on the PSP is'nt that well documented yet, alot is still unknown, so be patient, .
I am working on HD support again. Im also working on giving site a make over (Workbench style), as well as updating and adding new Save States (designed do run with current release). So as you can see its still on going here, behind the scenes.
Last thing to metion is AGA support. It has been decided, it will be added/worked on, ONCE we have a decent enough speed with ECS.
So, although Amiga fans have had a nice run since JULY last year, of monthly releases, just need to say we havent gone any where and don't intent to.
Thats about it,
Thanks again for your continued support.

Ive had a v1.0 PSP since the release day in Japan all those years ago and not once was i interested in updating, not even when the releases of Devhook for v1.5 occured.
But recently with the release of Dark Alex`s firmware that supports the full speed Playstation emulator that shook my resolve, i was tempted to buy another PSP but my wife and bank balance didnt agree so last night i updated from v1.0 to v1.5 then onto the Dark Alex firmware.
Now its onto the new generation of firmware, my only hope is that Dark Alex and co give support to PAL Playstation games.
One funny thing is that with the release of the firmware/emulator that i have gone out and brought all my fave PS1 games to play on my PS2.
Who else finally took the plunge with the new firmware from v1.0 or v1.5 ?

News/release from AdePSP:
I've updated my PSP Installer so that it can create stand alone executable install programs (all content zipped)... It seemed someone released a program that was exactly the same as mine the day after the last release... I thought rather than have two utils around that were the same I'd make mine different...
Here's the readme,
OVERVIEW
The PSP Installer is a program that creates a single stand alone executable
install file that will install files and folders onto end user PSPs.
The stand alone executables will detected a connected PSP automatically
making it very simple for your users to install your application.
This is obviously intended for developers.
The program allows you to choose the root folder on your PC. This folder should
contain the files you want to be copied onto the end user's PSP. The default
is the MS_ROOT folder. Assume any files or folders you place in the MS_ROOT
folder will be copied to the root of the PSP memory stick.
You can also choose a jpg file that will become the background of the compiled
installer you are creating and also a Readme file that will popup when the
user has completed the installation.
The end result is a single executable program containing all the files you
want copying to the end user's PSP. There is no real need to worry about
zipping the install program as your files will already by zipped up during
the compiled process.
CHANGE LOG
v0.2
- Now creates stand alone executables for distribution
- Front end allows easy selection of the folder path, picture and readme
- Preview available on front end
- Zip compression on all compiled files
- Progress bar added when installing

After Burner: Black Falcon is the first arcade-style flight combat title for the PSP, combining intensive air combat with explosive gameplay, whilst allowing players to relive the experience of the classic After Burner arcade game.
In addition to the in-depth customisation of 19 officially licensed military planes, players can fly solo in a story-rich single-player campaign or compete against friends in a whole host of multiplayer modes.
Players will be able to battle through an in-depth storyline where 13 top-secret fighter planes have been stolen by an underground mercenary organisation known only as Black Falcon. Utilising an assortment of hi-tech licensed planes and explosive weapons, players must recover the jets by engaging in high-speed aerial combat as they dogfight their way through dangerous terrain.
After Burner: Black Falcon takes flight with intense arcade-style air combat where gamers fly at maximum speeds using high-powered weapons to destroy land and air-based enemies. With a wide selection of customisation options, players can arm each military jet with an array of weapons, design aircraft and improve performance by installing a variety of engine components for faster, more manoeuvrable fighter planes. Weapons and aircraft can also be acquired in the heroic quest to help players defeat squadrons of enemies and menacing bosses.
Numerous multiplayer challenges are available in both competitive and co-op modes and players can challenge others via wifi in a variety of ways, or choose to work with another ace pilot to achieve testing co-op goals.
Head for the danger zone in Spring 2007 and keep sights locked on After Burner: Black Falcon.

It should come as no surprise that the new cutscenes in Final Fantasy Tactics are impressive. However, how does the gameplay compare? The Magic Box has tons of screenshots for you to gaze over. Are the widescreen PS1 quality graphics winning you over? Or, do you wish that Square Enix put a little bit more effort into this?

Hmm, call me crazy, but I'd rather take Final Fantasy XIII's Lightning out for coffee than Heavenly Sword's Nariko. Why? Uhhh... check out the latest screens/scans from the latter's game and you tell us. Yeah, you'd feel safe if Nariko was having a good time and you suddenly get surrounded by a plethora of ninjas, but what if she asked for decaf and you forgot? Something tells me she'd be less receptive than Lightning.
Anyway, these latest scans show the long red-haired heroine dealing some major deathblows to some masked peons, as well as Jeux-France's confirmation that indeed, the game is due out in March for the North American crowd. Which is really strange, since the latest EGM threw this title out in their "Fall '07" lineup. But of course, this is the same EGM who hosted a poll asking "What's wrong with the PlayStation Store" and 55% of the voters said "It's not XBox Live". I mean, I don't like cheese because it isn't ice cream. Sure, both are dairy, but I'm ignorant and take advantage of a poll without any screening questions.
Wow, we're getting off topic. Although, not much to be on topic about. Check out the scans and get pumped up for March!

So... there have been four other Burnout games? Really? Geez, must've missed the boat on that one. Perhaps they jumped consoles every other time or something, but I really don't recall four other of these games -- maybe two. Anyway, some new info has surfaced about the fifth title in the Burnout series. What's the info? Well, pretty much everything. Too much to even begin to list, but we'll try.
Cars will have over 80 different parts that will react realistically upon explosion, crash, wall-bashing, etc. Crashing is one of the main focal points Criterion is going for -- if it looks crappy, it's not next-gen to them.
Don't be confused, they're going for real physics, but not realistic physics: "Real physics don't make for great gameplay all the time. If we want to blow the car up, we'll blow the car up. Like when they blew up the Death Star--there's no fire in space."
Audio is getting a major facelift, but through non-traditional means: "Going back to the idea that absolutely real is a bit boring, there's a lot of audio in there that isn't traditional." Examples include trees, electricity, and apes screeching in agony. For crashes, apparently.
No longer are there "areas" or "tracks"... a seamless world awaits you! As Criterion said, "We analyzed the layouts of some big American cities and cross-referenced those against the best tracks from previous Burnouts. We can't go actual size--we've had to be a little constrained-- but we're definitely bigger than any other open world in any other racing game."
To get to the end of these "open worlds", it would take about five or six minutes of top-speed, uninterrupted driving.
Tilt function will be used in full -- one such use will be to control the way your car flips and spins, including the direction.
The L2 and R2 buttons will be more sensitive, now used for the brake and accelerator, respectively. So, press down real hard on the gas at the get-go, you'll get a (giggle) burnout. Braking hard is always good, though. Always.
There will be downloadable content -- possibly different play modes for download.

Hello, and welcome to my first release of CTF for the PSP.
(Finally, a break from TTR, lol.)
For those who don't wanna read this, I'll just simply tell you that its kxploited, so theres no need for luaplayer, and that you can download it here.
First of all, I expect your wondering what exactly CTF is. Well, as you may have guessed, CTF stands for Capture the Flag, which is a new LUA game, created by yours truely. The objective is very simple; snatch the enemie's flag and make it back to you own base, without touching anyone on the way.
Although the game sounds simple to paly, trust me, its no easy task. As the enemies get quicker, you're forced to think of a new staetgy to get around them before they catch you. This fast paced, addictive, and yet simple game is perfect for cheap thrills on the road.
Although there is one down side. For the time being, till i can release v0.2, the arrows don't work correctly. You may see them from time to time, but they cant hurt you... yet.
This time around, all the GFX have been done by me, and my trusty MS paint, in the style of the original QJ game:
Nice for paint GFX, Eh?
To add to all this, I've evn saved you some time by kxploiting it, so theres no need to look for lua player. Have Fun Playing, But Remember, Leave you comments, as they're always appreciated!

SCi (and Eidos) have acquired the rights to 11 Warner Brothers franchises, including Looney Tunes, Hanna Barbera and (prepare to be excited or horrified) the recently canceled Fox TV show The OC in a deal worth upwards of $80 million. Looney Tunes characters include Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Road Runner and Speedy Gonzales. The OC on the other hand features Mischa Barton and the other fit one. All games are scheduled for PSP. Hanna Barbera’s Tom and Jerry, the Flintstones and Yogi Bear are also mooted, plus a Batman game based on the DC comics. In truth, few Warner games are unlikely to trouble PS3, unless the latest series of The OC takes an explosive action RPG twist.
