A deputy head of a Nagoya technical college has been arrested for supposedly using a PSP and PSP camera peripheral to look up the skirt of a 19 year-old female. On the 27th, the 59 year-old college administrator was apparently caught using the PSP Chotto Shot peripheral on the Nagoya Kintetsu train line. He has been arrested under anti-stalking legislation. The above TV news reenactment describes how the crime is believed to have gone down.

Gearbox president Randy Pitchford reckons the visuals in Brothers In Arms: Hell's Highway represent a "15-20 percent" leap over Epic's still rather foxy Gears of War.
Jabbering away enthusiastically this morning during a Ubidays demo of the WWII FPS, Pitchford justified his claim by pointing to the improvements both his studio and tech creator Epic have made to the engine since Marcus Fenix grunted onto 360 in late 2006.
"Hell's Highway is Unreal Engine 3, it's the engine that powered Gears of War," he reminded us. "Now since Gears of War, Epic's invested a lot in the technology and it's much better than what was in Gears. And we've worked a lot on this technology; so you're seeing fidelity that's about 15-20 percent higher than Gears of War."
Hell's Highway is the third instalment in the Brothers In Arms series, taking Operation Market Garden as its historical setting. It's out on 360, PS3 and PC this August. We'll let you know our detailed thoughts on the latest build soon. In the meantime, see if you agree with Randy's claims by checking out the brand new Hell's Highway footage direct from Ubidays.

Not content with shaking up the RTS genre with voice-driven gameplay, Ubisoft's Shanghai team has just implemented a gesture-based system in EndWar that lets you perform Minority Report-style screen manipulation using a console camera.
Content director Julian Gerighty spilled the beans to Eurogamer earlier this morning during a demo of the new Tom Clancy war game. By using the PlayStation Eye with the stand that comes with Sony's Eye of Judgement game, players can scroll around when viewing EndWar's overhead tactical map simply by waving their hand under the camera.
Gerighty said the system had only just been implemented and is currently only in the PlayStation 3 version. Creative director Michael de Plater explained to us that the obstacle to including this feature on 360 was simply that the Vision Cam lacked the stand available with Sony's camera.
Gerighty added that the feature was not guaranteed for inclusion in the final game, since the team is expected to deliver "feature parity" across all versions, but said he was hopeful it would make the final cut.
If you want to know all about the increasingly impressive-looking EndWar, why not check out the latest Episode of The Eurogamer TV Show, featuring an exclusive look behind-the-scenes at Ubisoft Shanghai. And don't forget the brand new Ubidays trailer.
EndWar is due out on PS3 and 360 this October.

A scan from this week's Famitsu has popped up online, revealing two new characters who'll crop up in Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.
Or rather, two old characters who'll return - since we're talking here about Mai Ling (from Metal Gear Solid) and Rosemary (from Metal Gear Solid 2).
That's a bit of a double edged sword, really. Mai Ling, a naval officer with a curious habit of regaling you with utterly nonsensical Chinese proverbs, was a hugely popular character, even after an ill-advised change of voice actress in the Twin Snakes remake.
Rose, on the other hand, was Raiden's astonishingly annoying, whiny girlfriend, who seemed to exist solely to moan irrelevantly at him in incredibly over-long codec sequences. Less of that, please.
Details on the characters' roles in Metal Gear Solid 4 are scant - Famitsu's article falls back on simply reminding readers what they got up to in previous games, which is an approach we've blatantly nicked for this piece as well.
Metal Gear Solid 4 is apparently the last game in the Solid Snake story, although certainly not the end of the Metal Gear franchise, and will appear in the UK on June 12th.

Amazingly, even though I'd seen the box art to the left several times already, I never looked all the way to the bottom of it. That's the Yuna edition of the PC Engine Best Collection, and the last game on the disc is Sapphire, which commands rather high prices in used game shops. It's probably worth getting just for that, though the Yuna adventure games are passable, I suppose. It comes out on July 31st for 2,940 yen with tax. The second game in the collection is Tengai Makyou, which contains Tengai Makyou Ziria, II, Kabuki Den, and Kabuki Ittouryoudan, the PCE Arcade Card-only fighting game, released in 1995. That game comes out the same day at the same price.

News/release from Red Squirrel:
What's it?
It's a plugin that allows to launch the Recovery Menù directly in Dashboard, by pressing L button.

-Possibility to launch the original Recovery Menù directly in Dashboard!
-No risk of brick or similar!
v0.1 known bugs

It's normal and it can not be fixed because of the recovery menù nature.
It's not a big issue, because thanks to VSHMenù you can connect your PSP to ALL Flashs from XMB without issues!
-If you use "Run program at..." option, PSP will freeze...
Fixed: use START button to "de-freeze" console and continue.
-If you use "Exit" option, PSP will freeze...
Fixed: use START button to "de-freeze" console and continue (PSP will be rebooted, because of the recovery menù nature).
-"Format Flash1..." does not work...
It's normal, it is impossible to format Flash1 while you're in VSH!
WARNING: don't use the START button while you are in Recovery Mode (except for aforesaid cases!), otherwise you will be in a "particular" situation (Recovery Menù will flash in background and nothing will be understandable!!!) :P

Mandatory game installs have become an expected burden for PlayStation 3 owners, a tax paid in time for the pleasure of playing games on Sony's latest console. And while the time spent watching the bar creep across the screen has ranged from modest to absurd, we're still not accustomed with having to wait at all. It's a sentiment echoed by the developers at Bethesda, as the company recently let slip that the PS3 version of its radioactive RPG Fallout 3 will not include any upfront installation at all.
"The answer to that is no, there isn't," Bethesda marketing guru Pete Hines recently told Joystiq concerning Fallout 3 on the PS3. "That doesn't mean we don't use the hard drive, just that it does it in the background as opposed to a large, upfront install." As far as how much hard drive space the game will require, the exec wouldn't say exactly. Hines did mention that the RPG will require "a similar amount" of HD space as Oblivion, making us expect to fill up the PS3's juicy interior with about 4-5 gigs of atom-splitting data when the game ships this fall.

Hudson hasn’t got around to creating a Bomberman game for the PlayStation Network, but as a quick replacement the PsOne remake of the Bomberman game for the NES is now on the Japanese store. Like all of the PlayStation archives it costs 600 yen ($5). However, if you play the downloaded game on the PSP you won’t be able to use the multiplayer features.
Also on the store is a game in the Lord Monarch series, which was developed by Nihon Falcom. I wasn’t aware any installment came out on the PsOne, but Lord Monarch: New Gaia Kingdom Chronicles is up there. Kokobure Pukka is one of the more obscure titles on the service and it’s a digging game.
