A maintenance of Playstation Network has brought an unpleasant surprise for owners with PSP Custom Firmware M33. These PSP is in fact denied access to services online Sony (Network) and even with the version.txt firmware set for 5:51, or the last available, you can bypass this block.
An unexpected move by Sony, which affects a large proportion of PSP users.
We will keep you updated on developments.
UPDATE: After a test run with CF 5.50GEN-A, it seems that there are no problems in the PSN, and with no online play.

Sony just announced three new PSP bundle packs in Korea. Two of them contain Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection. The PSP game may be two years old, but it was a huge in Korea.
The DMB pack contains a mobile TV tuner (don’t bother importing this, the device is specific for South Korea), a 32MB memory stick, and a PSP. One Tekken 5 bundle has a white PSP, a remote, and headphones. The other comes with a black PSP, Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection, a soft case, and a 4GB memory stick. Each pack costs 278,000 won ($218).

Compile Heart, the company behind Cross Edge, has the license to Animax’s Hell Girl (aka Jigoku Shojo) anime. Hell Girl is a series about revenge. Anyone harboring animosity can log on to a website and condemn soul to hell. Of course, there’s a price to pay. Whoever condemns someone to hell also goes to hell when their life ends.
Compile Heart made a Hell Girl game for the Nintendo DS and now they’re working on Hell Girl: Mioyosuga for the PlayStation 2. The title is mystery adventure game and it’s slated for release on September 17.
No US release has been announced and I wouldn’t expect one… unless Compile Heart adapts Hell Girl with the movie Drag Me To Hell. You know, that could work!

Another possibly "frustrating" leak for Sony, word comes from our buddies at Joystiq Japan and Engadget Chinese that two Taiwanese manufacturing companies have been awarded contracts to build Sony's new streamlined PS3, affectionately known as the PS3 Slim. According to UDN.com, half of the orders have gone to Taiwanese group Foxconn, while the other half has gone to Pegatron. The units are expected to start shipping in early July "to cope with expected summer vacation demands."
The news has a ring of truth to it, given that the two firms have manufactured the original PS3. The timing also makes sense, as Japan actually buys most of its game consoles during the summer vacation period (as opposed to the winter holidays in the west). Still, all of this info comes from anonymous sources, so take it with a very hearty helping of salt.
Assuming the news is true, it would mesh well with the PS3 Slim rumors we've heard so far, most notably that Ars Technica expected the units to hit the market in August or September. Add this to the string of rumors and leaks -- even some purported images of the unit itself -- and the PS3 Slim looks like it could be hitting the ground sooner rather than later.

Sony may be readying a PS3 Slim model for launch this autumn, while Microsoft may be cutting the price of the top-tier Xbox 360 Elite.
To make way for the Slim hardware, Sony will finally cut the price of existing PS3 consoles, according to Ars Technica's "favourite inside source".
Preceding that, retailers will be given a limited inventory of 80GB PS3 units in order to clear stock.
The same source also claims the Xbox 360 Pro model will disappear at the end of the summer, after plenty of shelf-clearing bundles similar to the Halo 3/Fable II deal.
The Elite will reposition to fill the gap after an "early September" price cut, allowing more users to effectively use on-demand video streaming and downloaded content from Xbox Live.
Sony has a history of thinning its PlayStation hardware. The PSone and PS2 were both reduced in size - the latter four years after European launch. The PS3 didn't launch in Europe until early 2007, so this would be an early move on Sony's behalf - although arguably the pressure is greater than ever before. And, of course, Sony trimmed the PSP after just two years.

The European PlayStation website will introduce Trophy comparisons and leaderboard support in mid-July.
Sony's portal manager Emmanuel Orssaud announced and detailed the changes on the blog (spotted by vg247), claiming these additions to be "much-requested" by you, the community.
"My Trophies - Compare with your friends" will show the awards earned for particular games and pit them side-by-side with a friend. Similar data will be the basis of a leaderboard that tracks not only how well someone is doing, but how well they have done previously, and whether they've climbed or fallen. Fun graphs!
These planned changes are announced as the US PlayStation blog adds mobile compatibility, so it can be read on iPhones, PSPs and mobile phones.

THQ will release three downloadable content packs for Red Faction: Guerrilla, starting with Demons of the Badlands on August 13.
Baldands is set to include "a destructive single-player mission arc" that takes place in new Mars landscape outside of the original game's world. From the screenshots you can also assume that Marauder characters and tech will feature heavily.
THQ's also promised two additional content packs later this year, though it's keeping quiet on those for now. We did ask.
Demons of the Badlands will be available on Xbox Live for 800 Microsoft Points (£6.80) and PlayStation Network for $9.99. Check back soon for more.

Get your techie hat on; Sony has filed a patent for Emotion Engine (PS2's CPU) emulation tech for the PS3's Cell processor.
Techie jargon aside, that basically means Sony has the tech to make the PS3's microchips do what the PS2's brain does - i.e. play PS2 games. Which points to the possibility that PS2 backwards compatibility could be on its way back to PS3 soon.
Sony hasn't confirmed this, nor would it pass comment on the patents when we asked earlier today, but it's an encouraging sign.
Although PS3s currently on sale contain no support for PS2 games, the first PS3s released in Japan and the US in 2006 had both the Emotion Engine CPU and the PS2's graphics processor chips in them, allowing for full backwards compatibility with PS2 games.
The EE chip was later removed for the PAL (Euro) release of PS3 to cut costs, but early PAL PS3s still played most PS2 games using the remaining PS2 graphics chip and software emulation.
Hopefully the new patent means Sony will be able to re-introduce PS2 support using software emulation via a firmware update. Fingers crossed for version 3.0 then.

Do you dream of big plastic tennis-rackets and steering-wheel snap-ons for Sony's upcoming motion controller? Yeah, then why not build them yourself? Sony Computer Entertainment has launched its Official Licensing Program that gives accessory and peripheral makers in Japan, Asia, North America, and Europe access to all the PS3, PSP, and PS2 tech documents and schematics required to qualify your product for an "Official Licensed Product" logo. Sure, you'll likely have to hand over some cash for the privilege, but imagine the bank that awaits the person who converts the glowing orb atop Sony's motion controller into the very first official PS3 lightsaber.

News/release from scionsamurai
In this game you just fight to stay on the leaves for as long as u can. It has 3 levels. the first level lasts until ur score reaches 500, then the second level will last until ur score reaches 750, then u win the game by beating the 3rd level which lasts until ur score is 1000.
First level= leaves will fall, and u fight to stay on top of them.
Second level= More leaves will fall but now they zigg and zagg.
Third level= While staying on top of the zigging zagging leaves u must also dodge the falling nuts.
Their is a frame-skip problem once u get to level 2. (im just gonna pretend i intended that) and the only way to check ur high score is to reboot the game or press X and [].(wich restarts ur game). This game was supposed to be played sideways but i couldnt rotate the text. so play it how u like.
BTW:I dont have any screenshots because my screenshot plugin blows. if anyone can recomend a good one i would be greatful.

Hot Shots Golf! Hot Shots Tennis! Hot Shots... X?
Sony has a new entry in its Hot Shots series of casual sports games, and it's not tennis or golf! The company opened a Japanese teaser site today promising an unveiling of the new title for this Friday.
At the page, you'll see the Japanese characters for "Minna no" above a word that's concealed by clouds. "Minna no" is the Japanese name for the Hot Shots series. It literally mean's "Everyone's."
So what could the new game be? Everyone's Soccer? Everyone's Baseball? Everyone's Bobsledding?
There aren't too many hints at the site. The game is said to be in development for PSP, and appears to be the work of Hot Shots series developer ClapHanz. In case you were thinking that this is just a sequel to Hot Shots Golf or Hot Shots Tennis, the page makes it pretty clear that the game will feature a new event.
In Japan, Friday unveils are usually leaked out through magazines a couple of days in advance, so check back Tuesday night or Wednesday morning America time and you could find out what's under the cloud cover.
But the fun won't end with the game's name being unveiled. Sony also plans on distributing a demo on Friday. This will presumably take place exclusively through the Japanese PS Store, but do a little searching and you should be able to find a way to access it even from outside of Japan.

As reported on a German forum, the coder Miche2245 would publish an exploit, running the official firmware 5.50, which exploits a bug in the system saves the game Monster Hunter Portable 2 (JAP) and Need for Speed: Underground (ENG).
But these may not be the only game fit for purpose!
* UPDATE *: from the tests conducted by some foreign sites, this exploit is found not functioning as the rescue is not recognized by Monster Hunter Portable 2nd Also, the file in HW.BIN this is nothing but an exact copy of ChickHen but renamed Team Typhoon. The news, waiting for any new development, is therefore classed as fake.
just goes to show you, fake exploits will never leave any homebrew scene.
