The studio revealed the news with a Tweeted picture (below) of what it says is Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition running on a Vita. The image only shows the game's title screen, not gameplay.
Devolver Digital is yet to make a formal announcement.
Released in March via Steam, Megaton Edition includes Duke Nukem 3D: Atomic Edition, Duke Caribbean: Life's A Beach, Duke it out in D.C., and Nuclear Winter, and an original MS-DOS version of Duke Nukem 3D.

via http://wololo.net/2013/08/11/announc...-exploit-soon/
[Note from wololo: this article is not by me, but by Acid_Snake. Just want to clarify this before the wrong guy gets praises for his work ] I know, I know, Gamocracy was just released for the previous firmware, why release another one? well keep reading.
Like I said, there are a few reasons why I want to release a new exploit right after Gamocracy was released not so long ago, here they are:
- Total_Noob might release a new kernel exploit
- Firmware 2.60 is a big update
- This exploit, afaik, is available at least in EU and US, and should also be available in Japan and other territories, allowing for more people to have access to at least VHBL.
- The exploit’s compatibility is a lot better than Gamocracy, Apache, and most other previously released VHBL exploits.
Now, let me make this clear: THE EXPLOIT WILL BE RELEASED WITH VHBL UNTIL TN CONFIRMS A NEW KERNEL EXPLOIT, so I don’t want anyone asking “d0es it pl4y 1S0s?” cause I’ll directly ignore you. If TN decides to release a kernel exploit, YOU WILL SEE THE NEWS HERE, until then: VHBL IS ALL YOU GOT. I know I sound harsh, but it’s a pain how the forums becomes bloated with people asking the same questions over and over again when the answer can easily be found with little to no effort.
On the other hand, I will continue to feed you with news on the development on this: FAQs, Compatibility List, Tech Support through the forums, any possible kernel exploit release, etc, so don’t hesitate to ask questions that are hard to find the answer for.
Last but not least, if you find someone leaking the name of the game on some other forum, news site, or whatever, tell me or wololo by PM, at the end of the release I will give a 20$ PSN code to the person who reports most leaks.
Have fun with the exploit, eCFW or not.

via http://wololo.net/2013/08/12/release...emory-support/
After some analysis it seems the latest Psvita official 2.60 firmware update did a little more than we thought.
With exploits, the amount of RAM available to use was limited to us to use. However, back in firmware 2.10 Sony cleared up that availability, whether intentionally or unintentionally, it allowed us to use more than normal. After that update it was possible to use around 64MB. Its unfortunate however, that with the latest firmware that space that allowed us to use the extra RAM is no longer available. So the summation is that TN-V4 will not be able to support the increased memory for 2.60 and above. However, this feature will be available to those under 2.60 when Total_Noob releases the new version of his CEF TN-V later.
So this is something that you’ll need to consider if you are thinking of updating from a previously released kernel exploit. Now, depending how porting goes for the new kernel exploit release it is completely possible to use the new exploit on current user mode releases to be able to use said memory increase features.
As for an estimated release date on TN-V4 (and possibly a kernel exploit); Total_Noob says that it will most likely be after the launch of the PS4. There are two reasons for this. One, is that TN is very busy and needs time to work on the release and straighten everything out. Another, is that we will most likely see another official Vita firmware update before the launch of the PS4, and that will probably be a very big update. That update (which should be 3.00) will most likely incorporate features for the PS4 such as Remote Play. Waiting until after, is the best option. As for the release of the PS4, there hasn’t been any word on that yet but my best bet is to say around late October/November.
Either way until then there will be some other goodies, and announcements. So, as always check back!

There are a couple of Vita surprises in this week's PSN update for North America, surprise being a befitting quality for both. As revealed on thePlayStation Blog, sales phenomenon Fruit Ninja will creep onto the Sony portable's PS Store tomorrow, joined by augmented reality puzzler Open Me!.
Details on the Vita's version of slice-and-dicer Fruit Ninja are currently sparse, maybe indicating a fairly straight port of the iOS and Android HD iterations. We've reached out to developer Halfbrick Studios for more info.
As for Open Me!, we knew it was coming to North America sometime this year, having first been unveiled in Japan last year. We went hands-on with the curious game at last year's Tokyo Games Show, grappling with how to pry open its AR-displayed boxes, locked away by puzzles guarded with vicious-looking traps - think Fireproof's The Room, but meaner.
Open Me! also has a co-op mode for two Vitas, each player seeing and interacting with the same AR puzzle but from their own perspective. As for what secrets are locked within the boxes of Open Me!, we've no idea - maybe it's more godly powers.
The PlayStation Blog also confirmed the rest of this week's PSN releases, which we'll briefly run through. Payday 2, Mars: War Logs, Thunder Wolves andDucktales Remastered are all headed to PS3, while the Vita also getsBreakquest freemium follow-up Extra Evolution, and old-school puzzler A-Men, finally coming to North America after being available in Europe since the Vita's launch in February 2012.

Some big news from the world of Grand Theft Auto is arriving later this week.
Rockstar has sent out a teaser to the press simply stating that Grand Theft Auto Online will be announced on Thursday August 15th.
“Look for the world premiere of the official GTA Online Gameplay Video as well as coverage of first press previews,” it adds.
Note the title used here – not Grand Theft Auto V Online or Grand Theft Auto 5 online. Just Grand Theft Auto Online.
Could we be in-line for a standalone release? If so, will it be current or next-gen? Which gameworld will it be set in? Will it be released on PC? Will it be free-to-play? Will it be a MOBA? Will it feature Terry Wogan?
We’ll find out soon.

The latest release from cult developer Suda 51 has failed to make an impact on the Japanese market.
Videogamer reports that the PS3 version of Killer is Dead, the new game from Suda 51’s studio Grasshopper Manufacture, entered the Media Create charts at No.5 with sales of just 17,709 units.
By comparison, Grasshopper’s last game Lollipop Chainsaw – which itself was far from a critical or commercial success – sold 53,347 on PS3 in its first week.
The game stars a hitman called Mondo Zappa who owns a cybernetic arm that can change into a variety of weapons. It is thematically similar to other Grasshopper games such as No More Heroes and Killer 7.
Killer is Dead is due for a release in the UK on Xbox 360 and PS3 on August 30th courtesy of publisher Deep Silver. Xseed will publish the game in North America on August 27th.

Rarely has a videogame executive enjoyed such an honest moment of joy on stage as Jack Tretton, president and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment America. He delivered the news at E3 that PlayStation 4 will permit used game sales and retail for $100 less than its rival, Xbox One. This sucker punch was aimed at Microsoft’s hardware plans, but it was when Sony called a clutch of indie game makers to the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena stage that the publisher started a fight on the software front. “We absolutely love scouring the Earth for inspirational indie developers,” said Adam Boyes, VP of thirdparty relations at SCE, while the eight creators played their games in a semi-circle of giant screens, front and centre of Sony’s next-generation presentation. “We’re developing the world’s best indie game portfolio across all the PlayStation platforms, and giving developers the ability to self-publish their games.”This commitment to the independent game development scene is arguably in Sony’s DNA. Following the launch of the original PlayStation in Japan, Sony ran numerous programs to aid startup Japanese development studios. Many professional developers cut their teeth on Sony’s Net Yaroze consumer development kit for PlayStation, and the company has continued to invest in new talent with ongoing student competitions and its so-called ‘pub fund’ for original independent IP such as 2012’s Dyad. But that support has traditionally taken place backstage; Sony’s bold, brash pledge to indies was on parade at E3. So does this showboating represent a true sharpening of commitment, or is indie support merely another tick on the company’s marketing plan?“We’ve been fairly indie-friendly for a while now on paper, allowing self-publishing on PSN for more than five years,” says Nick Suttner, account support manager at Sony Computer Entertainment America, who describes his job as ‘helping cool indie games come to PlayStation platforms’.”In the beginning, we did a pretty poor job at explaining this, so we’ve spent the last 18 months putting the message out there that we’re a very open, easy platform holder to work with. At the same time, we’ve examined the process through the eyes of an indie, eliminating every roadblock and fee that we can along the way. The indie PSN content and announcements you’ve seen so far this year are a direct reflection of those efforts. We’ve discovered the big secret behind indies wanting to work with you is this: don’t be jerks.”

The PlayStation Vita has become something of a mecca for indie developers with such titles as Hotline Miami, Thomas Was Alone, Retro City Rampage, Lone Survivor, and The Binding of Isaac on (or coming to) the platform, but none of these ports actually enhance the experience beyond opening up the opportunity to play them in transit or in bed (which my cat and I strongly prefer). That's all about to change with Derek Yu's upcoming Vita version of Spelunky which adds one unique feature not available on any other platforms: the ability to move about freely in co-op. This not-so-insignificant detail was revealed on developer Mossmouth's latest blog entry. "On Vita, you can move freely in co-op," Mossmouth confirmed. "On other platforms players have to stay on the same screen."Another major boon to the PSN version of Spelunky is it will support Cross-Buy and Cross-Play. So buying it on either PS3 or Vita unlocks the version on Sony's other platform at no extra charge. The two platforms will also be able to play together, even if only Vita gets that co-op perk about moving freely.Spelunky's PSN release has yet to be dated, but Mossmouth said it'll be a "little while later" after today's Steam release. Speaking of which, our Tom Bramwell called it "perfect" in hisSpelunky PC review earlier today. Now watch him fail at today's daily challenge.

A leaked US retail advertisement indicates that the PS Vita will drop down to $200 this month – though it's unclear for how long it will stay at that price.
Joystiq reports on an upcoming print ad from Target that shows a $200 price point for the handheld.
There's no way of telling from the info on the ad if it's promoting a temporary sale price or a permanent cut in cost. Japan received a price reduction for the Vita in February, and at that time Sony Worldwide Studios head Shuhei Yoshida stated that consumers in North America wouldn't see the same price drop.
The ad will supposedly run in various print publications August 18-24, so confirmation one way or another should take place later this month.
The current standard retail price for the WiFi-only Vita currently goes for $250, with the 3G-enabled model priced at $300.
