Colors! Who doesn't love colors, right? Well, if you were planning to snag a PlayStation 4, you'll be happy to hear that the console's DualShock 4 won't be available solely in black. As has been the case with previous generation PlayStations, Sony will be offering different color variations of its DualShock controller, this time in "Magma Red" and "Wave Blue." Both models will be available when the PS4 launches in Europe and in North and Latin America later in the year, where they'll cost £54 and $59, respectively. So, don't worry, it looks like you'll be able to add a bit of hue to your next-gen gaming sessions.

The platform holder also discussed how indie games are thriving on Vita, rolling out a bunch of notable indie developers like Thomas Was Alone creator Mike Bithell and Mossmouth founder Derek Yu.

Sony has announced quirky title Play Room will be pre-installed on every PS4 at launch.
The augmented reality game lets players mess around on screen with characters or each other. For example, antagonising a small robot will lead it to set a players' hair on fire or disintegrate their skull.
Other mini-games allow them to spray virtual water around the room from the controller, or orchestrate a disco for little robots living inside the DualShock pad itself, pressing buttons to activate different disco lights.
The game is in development at Sony Worldwide Studios and was shown off during Sony's Gamescom conference.
It is reminiscent of other AR titles such as EyePet or Wonderbook: Book of Spells.

Sony demonstrated Remote Play with Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed IV, and emphasised the seamless transition between the two consoles.
The platform holder didn't offer further information on which games would not be compatible with the streaming service, but it's safe to assume that the majority of PS4 launch titles will be useable with Remote Play.

Sony has cut the price of the PlayStation 3 to €199 in Europe.
The 12GB Super Slim PlayStation 3 will also see similar price cuts across America, with Sony reducing the price tag to $199.
SCE president and CEO Andrew House confirmed the cut during Sony's Gamescom presentation, along with detailing a series of price cuts to next-gen titles.
Sony confirmed consumers who purchase titles such as Call of Duty: Ghosts, Watch Dogs and Battlefield 4 on PS3, will for a limited time be eligable for a "significantly reduced price" on the game's next-gen editions.
House said: "It's a great way to reward PS3 gamers."
The CEO didn't reveal the level of discount players can expect on the blockbuster titles, but it's certainly a move designed to ease the transition between console generations for consumers.

Sony has slashed the price of PlayStation Vita to €199 in Europe and $199 in North America.
Sales for the handheld have been sluggish since its launch early last year, but the platform holder is hopeful that this will pick up with the launch of the PlayStation 4 this November.
The price cut was announced during Sony's Gamescom press conference, where the company also announced that almost every PS4 title will be playable on Vita using the system's Remote Play option.
It also detailed new titles for the handheld, including forthcoming indie hits such as Hotline Miami 2 and new IPs Murasaki Baby and Big Fest.
Sony claims there will be more than 900 titles available for the platform by the end of year, with more than 150 developed specifically for PlayStation Vita.

Entertainment services will be a big part of PlayStation 4's offering, with new details about video and music packages.
Sony has said during its Gamescom press conference that it plans to make these services available to all PlayStation 4 users, without locking them behind the paywall of PlayStation plus.
Chief among these will be game-streaming service Twitch, with which Sony has an exclusive partnership. The platform holder also confirmed that a further 19 video services are planned for PS4, including BBC News, 5 on Demand and IGN's video content.
It also detailed the enhanced Music Unlimited service, which will now allow users to listen to their music in the background while playing games. A simple tap on the DualShock 4's PlayStation button will bring up a mini-guide, allowing them to skip tracks, play, pause and control the volume.

Sony has announced a strategic partnership with Virgin Media, naming the firm as PlayStation 4's official UK ISP partner.
During its Gamescom conference this evening, the platform holder said that it recognises broadband is not readily available to all European customers, so it is forming similar partnerships with Internet Service Providers such as Deutsch Telecom, Orange and Ono.
Virgin Media will work closely with Sony to help as many PS4 users as possible access the next-generation console's online services.
The firm is keeping full details of the deal under wraps for the moment, but it will start by helping Sony demonstrate the PlayStation 4 at Eurogamer Expo next month, as well as the Virgin Media Games Space which opens next week.

"While others have shifted their message and changed their story, we were consistent."
Those are the words of Sony Computer Entertainment boss Andrew House during tonight's Gamescom press conference – an obvious reference to Microsoft's string of U-turns.
The Xbox One manufacturer has in recent weeks altered its stance on indie games, self-publishing, mandatory Kinect use and whether or not a headset will come with the console – not forgetting the next-gen device's original digital-centric vision.
But Sony emphasised that the PlayStation 4 offering has remained the same throughout.
House said: “While others has shifted their message and changed their story, we were consistent in maintaining a message that is fair and in tune with consumer desires.
"We stove to deliver a platform that delivers both power and great value. And the response we’ve receive has been nothing short of incredible.”
Sony announced tonight that PlayStation 4 will arrive in Europe on November 29th.

Evolution Studios kicked off the current generation of PlayStation hardware with MotorStorm, comfortably setting a new visual benchmark in the process. DriveClub isn’t quite there yet – the build we’ve played was only 35 per cent complete, which seems a little on the low side for a PS4 launch game – but the pleasant, although hardly astonishing, landscape of the fictional Kinloch track we tried offers long draw distances and some occasionally eyecatching lighting. It whips past the windscreen at a decent enough lick – although not, in its current state, at the target 60fps. Tree and foliage models have a whiff of placeholder about them, while tyre smoke isn’t quite the next-gen volumetric spectacle we’d hoped for. The cars look great, of course, but you’ll be hard-pressed to notice the fully modelled headlight lenses out on track. There have been few better showcases for new hardware than racing games, and it says much that Gran Turismo 6, running on the seven-year-old PS3, currently looks sharper than Evolution’s demo build. A fair chunk of that remaining 65 per cent of development is presumably set aside for visual improvements.Still, the handling model seems to be all there. The four cars we’ve tried – including the Pagani Huayra and Hennessey Venom – display distinct, unruly personalities. The game’s most powerful cars need to be coaxed rather than hurried to full acceleration for fear of losing traction, and we found ourselves wrestling with torque steer in the Venom on straights. The DualShock 4’s much-improved sticks make it easy to make small adjustments to your line with none of their predecessors’ skittering flimsiness. But the motion-control option, predictably enough, doesn’t fare quite so well. Overall it’s a weighty, detailed handling model – but, just like MotorStorm, one that trades realism for immediate thrills. It’s at odds with Evolution’s talk of replicating the supercar ownership experience, but plays to the strengths of the game’s team ethos.

'Almost all PS4 games to use Remote Play'
Sony has demoed the impressive capabilities if its Remote Play tech allowing PS4 games to be played on the PS Vita.
Using Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, the demo showed off how a user could seamlessly take control of the game through the Vita if they could no longer play their PS4 title on the big TV. Overall quality of the game did not appear to be affected.
The tech works through wifi, effectively streaming the game to the handheld device.
Sony said that almost all PS4 games would utilise Remote play via wifi for the Vita, as had been demonstrated at the show.
