Newly released today:
Super Robot Taisen Original Generation Gaiden is a tactical role-playing game and direct sequel to Super Robot Taisen Original Generations. The bonus segments of Original Generations, entitled Original Generation 2.5: Unified Wisdom, was regarded as a preview for Original Generation Gaiden. The game resolves many matters left unchecked at the end of Original Generation 2.5, such as one of the main antagonist's unfinished plan and the activities of one of the enemy factions.
The same tactical gameplay from Original Generations has been carried over to Original Generation Gaiden, along with the Twin Battle System and Twin Command game mechanics. However, Original Generation Gaiden begins the main game with the option of selecting one of two playable protagonists, each with their own unique missions to follow, as well as meeting different people and piloting different mechs in their respective scenarios, similar to the system introduced in the first Original Generation title.
The first of two new gameplay features in Original Generation Gaiden is a card battling mini-game. Separate from the main game, this unique mini-game allows the player to play against the computer using trading cards representing various characters and mechs in the Original Generation games, played in the style of traditional collectible card games, such as Magic: The Gathering and Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters. The second gameplay feature is the inclusion of a Free Battle Mode, where the player is given the freedom of setting their own scenario, placing which allied or enemy characters and mechs on the field in a specific environment.

-Some system messages “Mostly save and load menu, and other messages”
-Cards Names “All kind of cards: world, abilities and items”

Emvivre has posted the release of Quake 3 Server for the PSP, heres some details from the readme:
I readed the Quake 3 server source code and I thinked it will be good to the see a Quake 3 server on a PSP. Then, I ported it to PSP. So, it's just the server side. No client.
I tested the Quake 3 server on a PSP firmware 1.5 : it's work ! For others firmware, I don't know
I didn't change many thinks on the original source code, I just ported the code for the PSP. There isn't interface yet, for configure the server you must edit the q3config.cfg and for administrate the running server you must use rcon command.
Unfortunately 4 maps don't works : q3dm11, q3dm12, q3ctf2 and q3ctf3. There produce a Hunk_Alloc failed because there isn't enough memory
So it'sn't a final version.

Aura has now released Project 4, heres the full release details:
Hi all, Project4 is finally here!
This release comes with a few bugs which I've decided to not get rid of (by doing so I would have delayed Project4), all the known bugs are documented in the readme, so take a look.
The uploaded file contains the Project4 installer, and 3 modules (p4iX.prx, p4i5.prx and p4il.prx) these are required by the installer.
All current custom firmwares 3.10 and above are supported currently by a custom patch, or the "Dirty Hack", when/if 3.80M33 is released I'll work on another patch if its needed, otherwise I'll just allow the installer to use the "Dirty Hack" too if its supported.
The readme is very in depth, it states the procedure for installation, and un-installation, as well as numerous other things, I'd suggest you read it to get a feeling for what is happening, it also gives directions on themes and other things.
The current functions are:
readme wrote:
7.1. Working
· ISO loading.
· CSO loading.
· ISOFs NoUMD mode.
· Editable GUI.
· 3.XX Kernel loading for EBOOT, PRX and ELF files.
· 1.50 Kernel loading for EBOOT, PRX and ELF files.
· PNG loader.
· JPG loader.
· HEX reader.
· UMD loader.
· Internal keyboard (soon to be replaced by Sony keyboard).
· File Copying.
· Change config and flash writing.
· Theme flashing.
7.2. Faulty
· MP3 Player.
· Text Reader.
· File Deletion (Does not delete folders if there are files or folders inside).
· NoUMD compatibility (M33 driver and NP9600).
7.3. Broken
· M3U loader
· USB transfer
· XMB Loader
7.4. Future
· Complete Image Viewer
· Complete Music Player
· Movie Player
· PSP Config Menu
· Wireless Transfer
· PiKey Compatibility
· Replace current font with intraFont style
This has been tested and is working on the Slim PSP as it should be!
Remember to give something back to Project4 and make a theme if you can, it'd be nice to have some choices about the theme
And without futher adue, I give you Project4

On the Internet when a story breaks, everyone jumps on it. The same was the case not too long ago, when Indian site The Economic Times (and subsequently several major news sites) reported that SOE was being bought by Zapak Digital Entertainment for the sum of $300 million, with further details to arrive next week.
Guess what? It's not true. When reached for comment, Sony Online Entertainment President and CEO John Smedley quickly refuted the article. "No idea who made this up. We are in discussions with various companies in India about bringing our games to this growing market but that's it. We aren't for sale," he said. "It's completely and utterly false."

StrmnNrmn has just posted this update to his rather excellent Nintendo64 Emulator for the PSP, heres the details:
It's been a while since the last update so I wanted to give some news on how things are going with work towards the next release.
I've spent a lot of time working on getting the HLE audio code working on the Media Engine. I've been making steady progress, but it's been taking longer than I initially expected. Fortunately, I'm very close to getting all of the audio processing moved over to the ME - in fact I believe I have just one significant bug left to fix.
The issue seems to be a very odd synchronisation bug which causes the emulator to lock up when running the audio processing asynchronously. As with many of these types of bugs, it's proving quite hard to track down because as soon as I change the code to debug the problem, the issue goes away. A true Heisenbug
What's particularly annoying is that the bug is stopping me from measuring how much of a difference running the audio code on the ME makes. Hopefully I'll be able to fix the bug over the Christmas break and be able to publish some timings over the new year.
As part of this work, I've also been writing a general-purpose 'job manager', which coordinates batches of work between the main CPU and the ME. The idea is to build on top of J.F.'s MediaEngine.prx to provide a simple interface for queing up and dispatching work asynchronously. When a job is added to the queue, a flag indicates whether the job is suitable for running on the ME, or whether it should just be run asynchronously on the main CPU instead.
Initially just the audio processing will run through the job manager on the ME, but eventually it should be possible run other pieces of work asynchronously too. I'm hoping that it will eventually be possible to move parts of the HLE graphics processing to run asynchronously too, but I need to investigate things a bit more first. That's a job for future releases however.
Anyway, that's all for now. I'm off to eat mince pies and watch The Great Escape on tv. Merry Christmas everyone

Quite a killer release from Mr305:
LocoRoco Motion Plugin v0.8

This is the first ever homebrew that provides motion support for a commercial game. You can buy the Neo Motion kit here ; It's a great investment you won't regret.
The name is self-explanatory. You tilt the PSP either left or right and Loco's do their magic.
Videos Illustration:
Installation:
1) Copy MotionRoco.prx to seplugins folder
2) Add the line
PHP Code:
ms0:/seplugins/MotionRoco.prx
to game.txt in seplugins folder.
3) Enable in recovery
Currently in progress:
----------------------
- Jumping by tilting forward then backwards.
- Fix for audio

By donating you not only encourage development but also aid in my purchase of an IR keyboard or perhaps a Slim PSP in the future.
Any ideas for improvement welcome.
