JaX3RiR posted this news:
Hi all.
I fixed PSPMillionaire, to work with Custom Firmwares, like most of you know it just showed up as Corrupted Data if you put the original game in your PSP. But now I have fixed it, and I even found out that PSPMillionaire, the original maker of the game, had accidentally named the PIC1.PNG he had meant for the game as DATA.PSAR, so now we finally see the game in the form he had meant it to be.
All credit for this game goes to PSPMillionaire.

News/release from Maxthebest
Hi, here is my new homebrew project release.
This plugin, called screensaver.prx, allows you to turn your psp into a very low energie consumer mode if you don't use it for some time.
Here is what it does:
-Turns your psp into "sleep" mode after a time you set.
-Puts it to very low CPU frequency (you can set it too)
-Shows the hour while in sleep mode.
Installation:
-Unzip this to ms root.
-You can set the CPU speed in the screensav.ini file, the first number is CPU speed and the second is the time after which it will go to screensaver (in secondes).
-If you happen to delete the *.ini file, it will still work with those default parameters: CPU 10mHz
TIME about 1 minute (60secs)
-Now activate the plugin trough the recovery mode.
Notes:
If you enable usb, if the screensaver comes up, it will stop the connexion, so switch HOLD button so that it doesn't comes up, do the same for downloads in RSS.

Weltall released the newest version of this Cheating Device for the PSP.
Changelog:
- [ALL] now it's possible to change clock > 222/166 on 3.71+ firmwares. thanks to dark alex.
- [ALL] now 3.71+ builds requires 3.71m33-3 or never because of required patches available only from that version
- [ALL] changed drive checking method: now it should be almost immediate in the initialization (no more waiting) and even in a more safe way
- [ALL] The new drive checking method made possible removing various checks introduced before because they became useless reducing so the prx size
- [IRSHELL] Now (in irshell builds) the drive (or emulated one) is checked everytime you open the menu so when you start the game in irshell
(or other loaders which works in a similar way) the next time the menu is opened the game db is automatically loaded accordly.
- [ALL] fixed an optimization glitch which blocked the usb function from being disabled
- [ALL] some code about usb was removed from builds with usb disabled
- [ALL] fixed a little glitch which made the cpu frequence option go from 333 to 266 without going trough 300, optimized also a bit the code managing it
- [ALL] now when you add a new cheat in the cheat selection menu a number is put after the "NEW CHEAT" name, like if you searched for it
- [ALL] Fixed some texts to be more proper and have a better case
- [ALL] now never texts are translatable using the classic cwcheat.lng in the cwcheat folder.
- [ALL] Added norwegian translation thanks to blackrave
- [ALL] Updated italian translation.

ccpspita has released a new version of MyPSP Robotics:
This version, of the robotics project on PSP, add the support to the GOCR algorithm. The GOCR algorithm give the possibility to read a text on a Image, and in the next release it will be able to read a text from an image taking with a GoCam. Imagine the PSP to read a book to your place!
Now MyEye implements also GOCR: Optical Character recognition from images.
Here some instructions on how to use MyEye - GOCR for reading the text that is in text.png and text.pbm images under
ms0:\PSP\GAME\MyPSPv4.4.5 \WorkArea\GOCR .
At present the implementation is a Beta Test ed it uses the native GOCR source code.
Text within Images is red from .pbm (Portable Bit map) format, and on the PSP display it is used a converted image
in .png format.
Next evolution of MyEye GOCR will be using the native GoCam .jpg images to read text that is captured alive.
If you like to test MyEye GOCR, let substitute
ms0:\PSP\GAME\MyPSPv4.4.5 \WorkArea\GOCR\text.pbm
and
ms0:\PSP\GAME\MyPSPv4.4.5 \WorkArea\GOCR\text.png
with your own text images of size no more than 180x100 pixels and size of character similar to the original
test images.
MyEye GOCR will read them!

News/release from xevious78:
Hi to all
Vien I finished version version 0.2 of Music Quiz
Background: Music Quiz is the remake of the game Ipod PSP with the same name.
The principle is simple: the homebrew music chosen at random from your PSP / MUSIC, the cheek and gave 4 name at random music that you have in your folder, and one of them has the name of music he played enough to press X, Y, or [] to select the right one.
Novelties:
- Add an optional mode (which does a little to nothing)
- You can now select the music file (/ PSP / MUSIC / or / MUSIC /): Go into the game and open "option.txt" if there is written: "mode = 1," the music should be in the file / PSP / MUSIC /, if "mode = 2," the music should be in the file / MUSIC /.
- If the name of the music is too long, the end will be replaced by "..." (Thanks a shaolan)
How high scores semi-fonctionnel (it works but there is a trick to regler) (thanks to the tutorial)
In future releases:
- Fashion playlist: A file browser to select file musics that we want to quiz.
Fashion-functional high scores 100%
We shall see -

Updated release from Highsight:
Just in time for Christmas, here's MazeGen3D 3.0!!
Added:
PacMan Mode!!!!!
Find the Flag Mode
SMOOTH ANIMATIONS! (optional)
Options menu
Turn Music on or Off
Turn Sounds on or Off
Map for PacMan Mode
Changes:
Bug Fix- previously causing a row of the maze not to show up.
Many Screen Refreshing Errors Fixed
ToDo:
Maze Editor
Save Games
Full, skipless MP3 Support
Perfect 3D Rendering (You MAY see empty spaces, this is a known bug.)
Map Packs
(And yes, I realize this is the same ToDo as the last release. :P)
How to...:
Add Music: Place all MP3s you would like to listen to while you play into "ms0:/MUSIC/".
Add Mazes: With the ability to save and load Mazes, people can now post Mazes online, in order to play these mazes, simply place all .mze files in the "Mazes" directory.
Special Thanks to:
jsharrad (For turning it into EBoot form!)
Tactical Penguin (Could never have done this without your 3D tutorials, you're a credit to the LUA world! )
Bleh (For his 3D Camera tutorial)
Cools (For his awesome LUA Mod!)
Merick (For his awesome GU.Blit function)
Alatnet (For his AMAZING GMax Export Script! I could never have gotten those spheres in without you.)
PacMan Instructions:
I'll admit it straight out, the AI for the ghosts is NOT the same as the original AI. The normal ghost AI is just way too complex for me to make. Still, the ghosts can and will kill you. Here are some basic rules:
If a ghost hits you, or you hit a ghost without a power pill, you die.
Ghosts always move after you move.
Ghosts spawn from a grave randomly placed on the map.
Ghosts never turn around and reverse directions unless they hit a wall.
Ghosts spawn every 10 moves until there are 4 on the map.
Power Pill last you 30 turns.
Ghosts move at half speed when a Power Pill is in effect.
Pellets are worth 10 points.
Power Pellets are worth 100 points.
Ghosts are worth 500 points.
You get an extra life for ever 10000 points gained.
If you play PacMan mode, I suggest you do not have smooth animations on, it causes a severe slowdown.
Final Notes:
This MAY be my last release for a long time since my computer seminar class is over in school, but I hope to continue it. ^_^
here's the LUA Version (requires IRShell or Cools LUAPlayer MOD4 to play)

via IGN
Phantasy Star Portable may have just been announced a few weeks back, but judging by what we saw today at the Jump Festa event in Tokyo, the game is quite far along in development. Sega put the game on playable display at the show, and we were sure to get in some play time before the typically long Phantasy Star lines developed.
Sega had the game set up for four player wireless co-op play in a classic Phantasy Star Online-style field environment. Each player was given a Level 25 character loaded up with a variety of weapons, including swords and sword/gun combos.
The field level was split into three large sections, loaded with enemies and gates to unlock. After clearing each section, we ended up at a confrontation with a giant red dragon boss.
The series' control scheme maps well onto the PSP. The analogue thumb pad is used to move your character around, with the d-pad for rotating the camera. Square performs your standard attack, or you can press triangle to perform your Photon Arts move. Pressing X brings up the weapon select chain for quick weapon changes. To toggle between sword and shooting mode when the appropriate weapon is selected, you press R. L is used to lock your character into strafing mode and center the camera. If you want a view of the surroundings, you can press select to enter a first person viewing mode.
Visually, PSP is looking like a solid port of the Phantasy Star Universe engine. The game runs smoothly, with just a bit of pop-up visible in the distance. It looks close-enough to its console counterparts that PSU veterans shouldn't have too many complaints in this area.
With a Japanese release planned for Spring, PSP looks like it could offer Japanese game players something to do once they tire of Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G. As evidenced by the millions of copies sold by that franchise on the platform, party-based combat games are one of the few genres PSP owners actually buy en masse here, so Sega has the potential for a hit if they load the game up with content.

Gokush presents a new usefull application for our PSP's. With this one, we will be able to solve cubic equations (similar to: AX²+BX+C=0). Despite its written in spanish, you wont need much more explanations (all of you know about the universal mathematical language ). This is PSP Slim compatible.
