No, sadly for all PlayStation 3 fans, the title doesn’t refer to Capcom having pulled the plug on the Xbox 360 version of Devil May Cry 4 in order to return the game to its original Sony-bound exclusivity. However, the news is almost as good. Almost.
Specifically, the latest issue of leading Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu has revealed that Capcom has decided to gift faithful PS3 owners (still likely bitter about the decision to expand Devil May Cry 4 to Microsoft’s console) with exclusive features that will not be available on the Xbox 360.
While the opinion of certain gaming Web sites is that Devil May Cry 4 currently looks and plays better on Sony’s latest console, expectant PS3 fans can also look forward to exclusive 5.1 LPCM audio support, PlayStation Network content, and – most interestingly – the ability to install game data directly onto the PlayStation 3 hard drive.
What that final aspect means is that players will be able to load around 5GB of game data onto the PS3’s internal memory, which, although occupying a sizeable chunk of save space, will subsequently remove all loading times associated with the game. Smooth gameplay all the way, folks, no pesky pauses, just uninterrupted heroic hackin’ and slashin’ fun from start to finish. And, when the game is over, a simple delete action sees the 5GB of data removed. Joy.
At present, details relating to the exclusive PlayStation Network features have not been uncovered, although Internet chatter suggests it could well arrive as gamelay-lengthening episodic content, additional characters, extra weaponry, or even new boss encounters.
Needless to say, when we know, you’ll know... in the meantime, enjoy this meaty trailer clip for Devil May Cry 4, which is due to hit retail in February of 2008 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

The current generation of consoles are powerful machines and carry a lot of features so sometimes it's a little hard to keep track of what they can do. Here's one feature a lot of you may not have been aware of but may find useful: stream media to your PSP from your PC via PS3.
To do this you'll need to connect your PC to a PlayStation 3 console to act as the bridge. Using the Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA), your PS3 can connect to your PC and share media. Then with Remote Play, you can stream the media to your PSP.
First off, you'll need to connect the PS3 to your PC's home network (you can use an Ethernet cable for this if your connection isn't wireless). Here are the instructions from Sony's Eric Lempel on how to connect it:
On your PC, enable “Media Sharing” on Windows Media Player 11 and allow sharing with the PS3 (it may be labeled as an “unknown device”).
On your PS3, turn on “Media Server Connection” under Network Settings. PS3 will automatically search for media servers on the same home network, or you can scan for them manually.
Your PC and media files will pop up under the Photo/Music/Video XMB icons.
After that you just need to stream your files to your PSP from your PS3 via Wi-Fi. Note that you'll need at least PS3 FW 1.80 for this, but of course FW 2.10 would be the better choice for media playing because of the new DivX support.

PSP Wardrobe V.6B
Theme/Mod Flasher - & Multi functional Flash Tool
For 3.52 M33-4
See read me for full details:
**************************
**** V.6B Changes***********
**************************
- Fixed bug that prevented recovery from being set up properly
- Boot Sounds are now available - complete with audio previews
- added several small tweaks
- Will now flash a Wallpaper to flash1, in any theme. This way, you dont have to search through your photos in xmb for the themes wallpaper. (Wallpaper is the full-res picture set to flash1 as wallpaper from xmb... BG's are the 01-12.bmp in flash0)
So, if the theme uses a Wallpaper, instead of a 01-12.bmp - put a 480x272 24bit bmp (should be about 382 kb) in the root of your theme folder. It should be titled "wallpaper.bmp" * without the quotes...
See full read me from V.6 (included for full details about installing themes)
- Automatically removes wallpaper from flash1, when you install a new theme
- probably more I can't remember...

December 28th, 2007, 11:58 Posted By: wraggster
There are certain events of 2007 that industry folks would just as soon not ever hear about again--so here they are...
#8 - We've Got a SKU Just for You!
"Phil Harrison famously said of Sony's PlayStation 3 plans, "I think we wouldn't take that [multiple SKU] strategy. We wouldn't create confusion".
Oh, the shame! In just the first year Sony has marketed four different models of PlayStation 3. It launched with two versions - the 20Gb and 60Gb models - and then introduced an 80Gb model in July and a 40Gb model in October."
#6 - Sony Exec Offers to Buy PS3s
"When SCEA executive VP Jack Tretton speaks, everyone listens. Sometimes this works out, sometimes not.
In his January 2007 interview with Electronic Gaming Monthly, it most certainly did not. In response to reports of PlayStation 3 systems sitting unsold on store shelves, Tretton famously replied: "If you can find a PS3 anywhere in North America that's been on shelves for more than five minutes, I'll give you 1200 bucks for it." If people on the street can see that the systems aren't moving, then Tretton should have known as well. Still, his ill-timed boast isn't unique - it's merely part of the larger hubristic posture Sony has assumed for far too long."
#5 - Alone Against the Empire
"Right before the Game Developers Conference keynote, one of the most prominent videogame blogs, Kotaku, published a rumor about an as-yet-unannounced PlayStation 3 online service dubbed PlayStation Home. Kotaku attempted to verify the details but Sony refused to comment. Further, Sony requested - then demanded - that Kotaku not publish the story.
Kotaku published their information anyway, with appropriate journalistic caveats. In response, Sony sent an email blackballing Kotaku."

Phoebius has released a new game for the PSP called Sonic 4 and judging by the screenshot above it looks pretty nifty too.
Heres the translated release info:
Hello everyone ...
That, in fact, to summarize a bit, being a fan of Sonic always has been, I worked a bit with Brunni at the time it was developing its game engine on Sonic GBA (for the graphics in any case) Since he stopped (temporarily or permanently), and am therefore jme said, as I tournais thumbs, I could try to make fun of my own engine.
I know nothing to the prog, but really nothing! I had never written a line of code in my life ... So I followed the tutorials PA, counsels Brunni and its superb lib, and AC led to this:
An early ptit engine, which I did last year, but unfortunately I stopped due to lack of time and motivation ...
So, I just wanted you to try to get your opinion!
Jme am said it was a pity that ca moisisse in a corner of my PC and that I am the only one to have tried it, so I put it online.
History:
Sorry, I remember even when I made it ...
How to play:
Directional arrows to move
Arrow at the bottom during the race to get ball
Cross: skip
Square: put the sprite at the beginning

Hellcat posted this update to his Pandora Installer for 3.xx kernels
Heres whats new:
Revision 3: (27.12.2007)
- Uses direct hardware access code from Silverspring to set battery serial, so it should work on 3.80 as well....
- Can write and read back the serial to file (ms0:/batser.bin) - you can also use this to customize the serial by editing this file with a hexeditor before reading it back in
(if a restore from file is attempted without the file beeing present, the default serial will just be used instead )
- Now shows current battery serial on main menu screen
- Upon request (and due to be found cool ) you can also choose/set the name of the memorystick after reformatting
Like for the battery serial, put a file "msname.txt" in the root of your memstick, containing the name you want.
Key features
Prepare (repartition and format) your memstick for Pandora
(to reserve space for the MS IPL)
since revision 3 you can also choose the name after format (see below)
Make normal battery to Pandora one
Make Pandora battery to normal one
Install a full 1.50 to the memstick, including the Pandora
Backup current battery serial to file
Restore battery serial from file
(if trying to restore from a backupfile without one beeing present,
the default serial will simply be used instead)

December 28th, 2007, 11:17 Posted By: wraggster
The format war between Blu-ray and HD DVD continues, but now the participants are really getting feisty. Both camps have been particularly aggressive this holiday season, offering a variety of discounts, free movies, and other incentives to convince consumers to back a particular format. The intense competition seems to have rubbed off on Internet fanboys, leading to Internet arguments that are even more ferocious than usual (which is saying something). As part of the animosity, the official Blu-ray site was hacked this weekend, and an online forum had to shut down its format discussion section.
The Blu-ray site modifications occured last Friday, when visitors to the Blu-ray site were redirected to "The Look and Sound of Perfect," the website for the HD DVD format operated by the North American HD DVD Promotional Group (including Universal Studios, HP, and Intel).
The redirection seems to have been fixed quickly, but it was no doubt a bit disconcerting to the Blu-ray camp while it lasted. There's no word yet on who was responsible for the mischief, although speculators have proposed various scenarios, including the HD DVD Group paying off a hacker to do the job. That last one seems particularly improbable, but we've heard stranger stories before. Either way, this hack wasn't a particularly malicious or damaging one, but it is representative of just how heated the format wars have become.
The acrimony has spilled over to audio-visual forums, too, providing plenty of examples of the heated discourse about Blu-ray and HD DVD that has been clogging the tubes lately. Plenty of name-calling is sprinkled in with discussions of the merits of the two formats, and a little misinformation tends to further feed the flames. The AVS Forum is a particularly popular venue for home theater discussion, and the arguments there apparently got so hot that the site temporarily closed its Blu-ray and HD DVD discussion areas in November.
They're back now, but with a pretty extensive set of rules and liberal warnings against format arguments posted all over. Again, some format forums closing isn't a huge deal, but the fact that the discussion is getting this heated in the first place is a good indicator of just how passionate both sides are about their formats.
Sadly, there's no end in sight to the Blu-ray/HD DVD war, but hopefully things will at least calm down a bit as the holiday season winds down and people are buying fewer movies and players. If not, we're going to keep seeing the format wars splashed across the web as the hacks and the arguments continue. Happy new year!
