Uberjack posted this on his site:
As many of you may have noticed, things have been going slow lately. I’m taking a break from PSP development, and trying other worthwhile things, like web development (another big hobby of mine), and wasting whatever free time I have on books and Xbox Live. If there is another release, it will be most likely in the form of an update to Atari800 PSP, to bring it up to date with the latest release of the emulator. Since it’s been a while since the last version came out, a lot needs to change in the user interface department, to make Atari800 PSP compatible with the latest version of psplib. This has been part of the reason for delay/procrastination.
Something that I’ve been considering lately is porting Game & Watch simulators to the PSP. I’m not aware of any currently out for the PSP, and I can imagine it being something quite enjoyable on a portable platform. Given a solid enough set of simulators, they may be easier to port than emulators, since sophisticated menus are not needed for a G&W unit.

A new Michael Jackson game was confirmed earlier this morning, but very few details about the project were released. Now it's revealed the game was to be as big as one of Jackson's albums.
David Perry, a legendary game designer (Earthworm Jim, Wild 9), told IGN he was working with Jackson on the new project and that the singer was hoping to capture a new audience.
"I was working with Michael on an idea to release a brand new album as a game. It was one of those "big" ideas and would have introduced millions of new players to the video game industry, that was the goal," Perry said.
"He was going to help promote it on a grand scale. We worked on a design and I even brought an industry friend up there to Neverland to help with the work. The timing was terrible however as this was when the 2nd round of allegations happened and everything went to a standstill.
Perry would continue on say he was thrilled to have been a part of the project and is glad the game will eventually see a release.
"That said, I'm really honored to have spent time with the guy, any gamer would get along with him, he really loved the same kind of stuff we do. I also was lucky as I was given free roam of Neverland and have played even his Moonwalker arcade machine, and watched movies in his theater," Perry added.
"I'm really happy to hear there's a game coming, it's sad he won't be able to really promote his love of gaming when it launches."

If you had told us five years ago that 2009 would be a year to remember for 2D fighters, we would've called you a crazy person and erased you from our buddy list. Sure enough, with solid releases Street Fighter IV and BlazBlue already dropping this year, and Marvel vs Capcom 2, Tatsunoko vs Capcom and, as the above video shows, King of Fighters XII awaiting release, we would've been the crazy one. If you're a fan of the occasional bout of two-dimensional fisticuffs, then you've got a lot to choose from this year.
It's as if millions of piggy banks suddenly cried out in terror, and were suddenly silenced ... by giant hammers.

You're more likely to see Xbox Live and PSN get a sequel of Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All Stars than a port of the original, says a Capcom producer.
That's because "the game is optimized for the Wii system, especially the graphics features," Capcom's Ryota Niitsuma told VideoGamer.com. "So if we were to port it to PS3 or Xbox 360 we would have to make the game from scratch, and in that case we might as well just make a sequel of the series on those consoles rather than porting it."
Note: That does not confirm either that a sequel is being made, or that anything in the franchise is being made for XBLA or PSN. Niitsuma's just sayin'. "Currently, no," is the answer to "will TvC be released on 360 or PS3." But, "We would like to see the reaction of the western market when we release the game on Wii."
Ah, yes, so that places 360 and PS3 gamers in the position of needing Wii gamers - to shell out in large numbers once Tatsunoko vs. Capcom releases in the winter. At least, those who have any hope of seeing this game on their console down the line.
Capcom: No plans for Tatsunoko vs. Capcom XBLA/PSN port

Undead Knights is an unusual crossover between Dynasty Warriors and Pikmin, if the latter had zombies instead of walking plants. In addition to attacking their former allies, zombies are used for light puzzle solving.
Back at E3, Tecmo showed me how to make a zombie ladder, which sounds just like what it is — a ladder made of zombies. Zombie ladders allow players to climb over walls and enter bases. You can also order zombies to siege bases and fling them like undead graves.
Conceptually, Undead Knights sounds like a fun twist on the hack and slash genre. We’ll find out for sure when Tecmo releases it in Japan on October 15. A North American release is scheduled around the same time. We’re also getting the game this fall.

God of War III Art Director Sean Cunningham is concerned, despite checks with ratings boards like the US's ESRB, that Kratos' epic conclusion may still not receive classification in Australia. Screen Play reports that, in a conversation with Cunningham, he admitted there may be issues and explained that the team is continually checking with censors, with some ideas for the game already being shot down.
Australia's notoriously strict ratings board, the OFLC, currently does not have a classification past MA15+ for video games. That means any game not appropriate for a 15-year-old won't be sold in stores and is de facto banned -- and that's before the national internet filter becomes fully operational. Given some of the violent antics we've seen from Kratos' high-def adventure, it might barely scrape by with an MA15+ rating. But what of the inevitable sex antics?

GripShift developer Sidhe has announced that PSN game Shatter will be released on 23rd July.
The date is courtesy of the Shatter website, where a juicy reveal trailer can be seen.
Shatter does not refer to an ill person but does explain the Arkanoid-style gameplay. And Arkanoid, remember, is the Pong-like ball and paddle game where a shape of blocks must be broken down.
Shatter, however, has big guns, bosses, circular levels, sucking, blowing and all manner of variations on the theme. Plus a price-tag of USD 8, according to IGN. UK and European prices are unannounced.
Looks promising.

Next week you will be able to dress Sackboy in a Stay Puft Marshmallow Man outfit or give him a Slimer hat. A bunch of downloadable Ghostbusters costumes are coming to LittleBigPlanet on July 16.
Sony Computer Entertainment Japan flaunted four Ghostbusters items: a Slimer costume, Ghostbusters costume, No Ghosts costume, and a “marshmallow man” costume. Each item costs 200 yen ($2.15) or you can buy a pack with all of the items for 600 yen ($6.50). Please note that pricing is bound to change when Sony announces the content for North America, but the reveal from Japan (where Ghostbusters isn’t even announced!) gives us an early look at the items.

Diamond and the Sound of a Gunshot is heading to South Korean PSPs on July 17. Purchase the game and you could get a 0.5 carat diamond. Seriously!
Sony Computer Entertainment Korea packing codes in the limited edition version of Diamond and the Sound of a Gunshot. One lucky code will be redeemable for a 0.5 carat diamond at an event on August 25.
Crazy marketing stunt or clever tie-in?
Either way this might be the biggest promotion for a visual novel ever.

It appears that Walmart brick and mortar stores have rolled back the price of their Magnavox NB530MGX from $128 around Father's Day to a new low of $98.
It's certainly not top of the line, but it does have 1080p support—and the price is hard to resist if you simply want to get into the HD game. Again, this permanent rollback seems to be available in stores only at the moment.

MJJ Productions has been working on title 'for months'; Star recorded speech for release
A video game starring Michael Jackson's likeness and speech recorded before the musician died is set for a posthumous release.
Rumours of a new Jackson game have lingered ever since the star's death. But these now appear to have been confirmed.
The star's own production company, MJJ Productions, has been working on the game for 'several months', according to reports.
A Christmas 09 'home console release' – suggesting Xbox 360 and PS3 - is apparently scheduled.
It is understood that the game will feature a number of the star’s most iconic hits.

Successful Wii Fit rival EA Sports Active is seemingly in the early stages of being ported from Nintendo’s machine to both Xbox 360 and PS3 thanks to the recent unveiling of both Microsoft’s Project Natal and Sony’s Motion Controller Prototype.
“Both companies are obviously great partners and they've shared their plans with us well in advance so it was no surprise to us,” Peter Moore told IndustryGamers.
“You could fully comprehend the excitement of sports when thinking about these technologies.
“Both companies came to us, asking 'what are your ideas for this?'.
"Anything where you're moving around in sports, and particularly the fitness element of what we're doing certainly ties well into what both Sony and Microsoft are trying to do now in taking a little bit of the action that Nintendo's clearly had for themselves so far.
“I think there's already a lot of learnings we have right now with our Wii products and certainly there's stuff with EA Sports Active that we could apply to both platforms. Fitness is a huge play for us and will continue to be a huge play for us, and this just makes the opportunity bigger, to say the least.”
