A few minutes ago, Strmn Nrmn posted this news on his blog.
R11 Sometime on Sunday
I'm very close to having R11 ready for release, and I'm aiming to have everything finished some time tomorrow morning (that's Sunday morning, UK time.)
I've spent the day putting in number of changes to the way that Daedalus allocates memory for various lookup tables. Namely, I've replaced a couple of stl maps I was using to keep track of cached textures and dynarec fragments with sorted vectors, which should help reduce fragmentation and improve cache usage. Basically it should make things even more stable and give another small speedup.
I've also been through and updated the rom.ini file I talked about a couple of weeks ago to make sure that it contains accurate information for the save type. I noticed that many of the entries for European roms were undefined, which can cause various compatibility problems. Hopefully this should mean that a few more European roms are working in R11.
Finally I realised that there was a dynarec issue which was preventing Super Smash Bros from going in-game. Although that's not fixed (that's something for R12) I have disabled dynarec for SSB by default. With my various texture cache fixes SSB is now running in-game, albeit with messed up graphics and at just 15 fps. Here's a teaser screenshot of SSB running in R11:
Given how many people have been asking for SSB compatibility to be improved, I'm pretty sure this is going to be my main focus for R12. If I can fix the dynarec issue it looks like this is going to run at a solid 25-30fps or more.
Anyway, check back sometime over the next 12 hours for R11 (I'm off to bed for now, let's hope I don't lie in
-StrmnNrmn Can't wait!

FRONTIER 1337 is a port for PSP from the Atari version of the game "FRONTIER - Elite II".
EDIT - May 6th 2007 :
The game wasn't working because I totally forgot to add the fe2.s.bin file in it.
Now, everything should work fine! Sorry.
Here's the latest version of the game with some new things:
version 0.2a :
- The game is now running at 333MHz.
- The music has been enabled.
- All wav sounds and ogg music have been resampled to 44100Hz and are now working perfectly.
- All sub-folders (but savs) have been moved to data folder.
- The Fkeys highliter has been turned from red to black for not interfering with the intro and outro of the game.
For a better framerate result, set the level of shape detail to 'low' in the setup screen (start button), and disable things like 'Space dust, clouds etc' and 'Background stars'...
Don't try to change commander's name when you are saving your game. If you want to change it, rename the file in the savs folder.
You can find useful informations about the game on the official website, or about FRONTIER - Elite II in general at Frontierverse
INSTALLATION
------------
For 1.50 firmware users, unpack/copy FRONTIER and FRONTIER% folders to MS_ROOT/PSP/GAME
For OE firmware users, unpack/copy FRONTIER and FRONTIER% folders to MS_ROOT/PSP/GAME150
The game package contains the kxploited game and the sources. Download the MUSIC and SFX packs if you want, and place them in the FRONTIER/data folder.
CONTROLS
--------
Analog-stick - Move the cursor through the screen.
SQUARE - Used like the left mouse clic to select things with the cursor.
CROSS - Used like the right mouse clic.
Hold CROSS + Analog-stick - Roll the vessel.
Hold CROSS + SQUARE - Fire laser beam.
Hold CROSS + D-pad UP - Zoom-in with the camera in external view.
Hold CROSS + D-pad DOWN - Zoom-out with the camera in external view.
D-pad - Rotate the camera in external view, and make ravel the galactic chart or the stockmarket list.
TRIANGLE - Rear propulsion to increase speed.
CIRCLE - Front propulsion to decrease speed.
L and R triggers - Choose the functions that where directly available on PC with F1 to F10 keys.
L + R - Validate the choosen function.
Start - Go to the option screen.
Select - "p" key for now... to get through the police arrest thing.
I'm advancing very slowly so any help is still welcome

News/release from Archaemic: - UPDATED WITH THE BUGFIX RELEASE
PSPComic v0.9.7 Beta is here, with a long list of new features:
v0.9.7 Beta (2007-05-05)
- [Feature] Configuration file is now XML
- [Feature] New manga mode, which makes comics start from the right instead of
from the left
- [Feature] Menu now shows current state of togglable items
- [Feature] New battery meter shows remaining battery percentage in the menu. If
the text is red, the battery is low. If it is yellow, the power is plugged in.
- [Feature] The clock frequency menu now allows any value between 20 MHz and 333
MHz to be selected
- [Feature] Bookmarks have been added. For more information, please see the menu
options section
- [Feature] 8-bit images now support resampling
- [Bugfix] Fixed scrolling bug, which made the program stop scrolling after
some time with the D-Pad
- [Bugfix] Removing an open RAR or CBR file while the program is using that file
will no longer cause a crash when the page is changed.
- Sped up resampling
- And many more minor changes...
The zoom box and precaching will be added in the next release. The zoom box requires a rather large internal reimplementation (but it will be possible to do) and precaching requires some advanced threading, which I should be able to do, but I'm not sure. Please note that precaching will only speed up image loading, not image resizing, which is the primarily where speed is being lost.
Please note that PSPComic is still in beta, and may be buggy, especially the bookmark functions.

After some problems with the traffic of the first public RSS Streaming Tools Server, I found a new hoster and now I have unlimted traffic.
You can hear Shoutcast Radio without running your PC.
The Adress is:
http://radio.crystalxp.de
Open it with your PSP Browser and select a Shoutcast Radio Station (of 19,184 Stations) you want. It works with every PSP. You only need a PSP Firmware higher than 2.70.
If you have added a station to your PSP, you can hear it over RSS Channel. Your can hear it everywhere, where you psp can connect to the internet, so at home, work, school, the depot, ...

This is a Map Software for the PSP and PSP GPS adapter .
This beta build features:
- basic localization sñpport (read and write in your own language!!)
- basic sound (currently just key beeps and "Speed warning" message if preset speed limit is exceeded
- improvements in geo search logic, allowing more relaxed search
Installation:
make sure that you:
-install PSP-290 version in /PSP/GAME3XX folder (depending on your OE FW version)
-install Holux version in /PSP/GAME150 folder
You folders must have following structure:
/PSP/GAMExx/
mapViewer/
EBOOT.PBP (get appropriate version)
usbacc.prx (psp-290 only)
usbgps.prx (psp-290 only)
system/
maps/
---------------------------------------------------------
I provided a sample language pack as an example (perhaps someone could do a better translation of the labels?)
To install bundled russian_language_pack, copy the contents of russian_language_pack folder in to system folder
To create you own language pack, you need to edit the files in the russian_language_pack folder.
make sure you define your character set in localization.txt and then create corresponding images for your new sets and danzeff keyboards.
Special thanks to MIB.42 & coach777 for helping out with localization and sound support.

News/release from luislizard:
Hi, this is my second release of this program and now has support for as much themes your memory stick can hold.
Now it checks if file is present before flashing, meaning that now you can just throw in a BG and a topmenu_plugin and it will still work (Last version you needed all the rco's for it to work).
This program changes your XMB theme every time you restart your PSP automatically. It works by using the autorun feature in OE firmwares (Not working in 3.03 OE-C, but as an alternative...) , you can also cycle your theme by running Cycle Theme at your game menu. It supports gameboots, BG and most rco's commonly flashed (If you want support for another rco to be added please tell me.)
This was tested on my 3.40 OE PSP and worked flawlessly.
In case that for some reason the psp would turn off when flashing you just have to restart the psp and it will flash the files again (if you have the autorun feature enabled.)
If you have any suggestions or feature requests post to this thread so i can keep improving this.
Installation instructions at README.
Features:
-- Unlimited slots for saving themes NEW!!
-- Automatic theme flashing at startup
Files it can flash: (Requests accepted)
--topmenu_plugin.rco
--opening_plugin.rco
--savedata_plugin.rco
--gameboot.pmf
--system_plugin.rco
--01-12.bmp
--impose_plugin.rco
--premo_plugin.rco
--system_plugin_fg.rco
--system_plugin_bg.rco
--photo_plugin.rco
--game_plugin.rco
--sysconf_plugin.rco
--ltn0.pgf
TODO:
-- Flash dummy font to free space.
-- Monthly theme cycling.
-- Randomize Function.
-- More cycling options (like each day, or week).
-- Improve scripting.
DOWNLOAD LINK:
http://rapidshare.com/files/29365788/Theme_Cycler.zip
IMPORTANT:
-- The README file is your friend, take a look at it before using.
-- if you want both autorun and the manual Cycle Theme function you need to set the 1.5 kernel to GAME since the boot folder has to be strictly at GAME, not GAME150.
-- DO NOT RENAME THE BOOT FOLDER, AND IT SHOULD BE LOCATED IN THE GAME FOLDER, NOT GAME150, NOT GAME340, IF YOUR ARE GOING TO USE AUTOBOOT.
-- AS A PRECAUTION, FREE SPACE IN FLASH0 BEFORE USING WITH A PROGRAM SUCH AS FLASH AGENT OR ELSE IT CAN SEMI-BRICK BECAUSE FLASH0 IS FULL.

The item is a new extended battery for the PSP from Blue Raven
Technology, promising 8 to 15 hours of extra power. The exact
amount of time is influenced by what type of game is being played or what other kind of PSP functions are being used.
The selling point, however, is the design. The battery comes as part of a rubberized, five-ounce half-shell that the PSP slips into easily, leaving the back of the device encased in a manner that offers a comfortable, balanced grip. It was a bit of a squeeze, but the enlarged PSP still fit into the zippered protective case I use (and which I would have been annoyed to give up).
Now, some quibbles: There’s just a single sheet of instructions for the battery, and that’s just a clumsily written installation guide.

Ok, here is the story.
I wanted to know how far DivX decoding had come on the PSP because I had never come across a usable player. If you must know, I was looking for a way to view old Power Rangers episodes on my PSP without having to re-encode them. I came across a Korean EBOOT on a database website labelled 'PSP Media Player'. I downloaded it and tried it out. After navigating through some menus I worked out where to put the video files and how to load them. The result is a working AVI player for the PSP.
It works as fully as can be expected. There are some bugs. DivX and Xvid play at full frame rate (25fps/30fps) with fully synchronised sound at 266MHZ. It could possibly play some WMV videos but this takes some trial and error. The MPEG videos seem to work. There is an option to change the clockspeed.
I have redone the main menu to include some English translation of the Korean text which make it usable. I have also written instructions which were not present in the original release.
Remember that I did not write the code for this so I'm not responsible for anything that goes wrong.
P.S. I know this might look like a fake. It isn't. Just Google my coder name "Raydar PSP" and you'll see that I have released software in the past and I'm not interested in messing about.

Sony UK dismisses Aussie site speculation alleging that PS4 is to launch in 2008
Australian technology site Smarthouse is reporting that a ‘Sony insider’ has told it that a new PlayStation console is being prepared by the Japanese platform holder and will be launched by the end of next year.
The site claims that the machine will be based on the current PS3 chipset, but “will differ from the current model in the drive bay and in the attachment area”.
The supposed source added: “It will also include an extensive software suite for the managing of content being streamed to a TV or hi-fi source.”
Unsurprisingly, these claims have been rebuked by Sony UK. A spokesperson told Spong that: “Obviously, this is garbage.”
The story most likely emerged following Ken Kutaragi’s admission earlier this week that despite his imminent departure from Sony he has firm plans in place for the PlayStation 4, 5 and 6.

Over the next few weeks, some new and exciting changes will take place in the PLAYSTATION®Store. In preparation for this, both PLAYSTATION®Network and PLAYSTATION®Store need to be taken offline for a short while to allow us to carry out the upgrade and maintenance work.
This is scheduled to take place between 16:00 and 19:00 BST (17:00-20:00 CEST) on Tuesday 8th May 2007.
If you are already logged into an online game during this time, you will most likely find that you can continue playing as normal, but you will not be able to log in or start a new game until full service has been restored. You will also not be able to access the Store during this maintenance window.
We are hoping to complete this work in as short a time as possible and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. But remember that these enhancements are paving the way for new and exciting content that we have planned for the Store!

SuccessHK has today reduced the Price of their PS3 Consoles down to a nice $445.16 (£220) for the 20GB Playstation 3 and the 60GB PS3 is down to a better $552.00 (£270).
For us in ripoff Britain thats a saving of at least £130 ($260) off the price of the console here.
Also i always recommend that you ship using airmail, it will cost around $70 or £35 and you should avoid nasty import taxes (especially if the company put sample on the box )
Remember that all PS3 Games are worldwide region free so no worries on that score and that the consoles can have the language changed to any language you want.
Import Consoles will only play Region A Blueray films but you will find that even in the UK the majority of films are Region Free too. The quality of Blue Ray films played at 1080 resolution is something to marvel at.

With invitations already sent out for the North American closed beta, the first shaky-cam shots of PlayStation Home are starting to leak out of the woodwork - and here they are.
This first batch, which emerged on the internet this morning, shows quite a bit of the PS3 'Second Life-like' service in action including interacting with your virtual PSP and those damned in-game adverts.
There's also a shot of Home's multiplayer bowling in action, which we're almost certain we won't be able to play without sorely missing the aid of a Wii Remote.
There's no word on when the Home beta will reach Europe yet, but glance your eyes downwards to see the rest of the lovely screenshots.
