CVG has just had a go on Burnout Paradise using a fully operational rumbling SixAxis PlayStation pad. Yes, we're just as surprised as you are...
Seeing as though Sony has yet to officially announce that the rumbling Dual Shock 3 pad even exists, you'd think EA's party organisers would have ordered in regular SixAxis pads for the event. But it seems they didn't.
From our quick hands-on it was everything you'd expect really. It felt heavier compared to the feather weight SixAxis, looked exactly the same, and rumbled. But what did you expect? Pressure sensitive buttons?
We're hearing whispers from Tokyo that the new SixAxis will be officially unveiled by Sony boss, Kaz Harai, during his keynote speech sometime in the next 24 hours, give or take a time zone. It kicks off at 2:30am in the morning (GMT) for those who work in security.
When we contacted SCEE it expectedly wouldn't offer a comment.

http://rapidshare.com/files/56457300/EBOOT.PBP.html
The system will be available in Nanodesktop 0.4, the next version
of nd. There are already some troubles, but the proof of concept
is interesting.
ndFLite uses VFPU to increase the speed of voice synthesis. It uses
also Envelope Interface, a new API integrated in Nanodesktop 0.4
that ensures sound reproduction without glitches and MP3

Brakken posted on his Tehskeen Website about the harm to the PSP Scene that the recent souce leaks have done and the fact that Sony of all people have the source to the Custom Firmwares.,
Heres the news article in full from Brakken, post your comments after reading it:
Why is it not a good idea to screw with a group of Russian Hackers? Well, for one everyone including Eskimos receiving their Internet connection from Wifi routers mounted to polar bears will find out who you are and where you live. Another reason is the fact that stealing and releasing source code for a custom firmware that Sony doesn't want running on their hardware only helps them deterrent future releases.
Sure, there was a lot of speculation that the release wouldn't assist Sony in preventing the release of future versions, but this was only speculation and was and now is proven wrong. With the code in Sony's hands they have an arsenal to combat current and future firmwares. Look at it from this perspective - Sony has all of the information they need to combat this situation as they have the code, but Team M33 and others do not have Sony's own firmware code.
Sure, Sony could use skilled professionals to break down the custom firmwares from scratch, but now they do not need to spend a lot of money and resources in reverse engineering anything and have a heads up on PSP hackers. Unlike Sony, Team M33 and others have no way to know how their firmwares are going to be attacked - Sony could fill their original firmware with so many trap doors it could take weeks, if not months for various teams to get past them which will take valuable time away from improving their own firmwares.
I'm writing this article in response to a press release Team M33 published on their website that brings up some of these points and more.
"This intrusion into one of the basis of the actual PSP Scene, has just made harm to the entire world of the PSP Scene. Therefore, Sony saw this and made some interesting changes in some modules (mainly loadcore), plus the change of some nids that are used to the development of M33 Custom Firmware."
As stated, you can clearly see that the people who think the leak of the custom firmware was a good thing for the "scene" are not only moronic, but have little to no clue of what it takes to develop a firmware. The speculation was wrong. With the firmware source code in Sony's hands it's going the Sony PSP scene is suffering.
"This changes won't probably last too long and won't be an important problem, but it's just, as we have just said, another resultant of trying to be someone on this world by stealing and leaking instead of studying."
Of course, they are speaking of Mr. Serafin and the websites Maxconsole and PS3NEWS who assisted in the leak. Too bad the people who were involved in the leak trusted Maxconsole as a trustworthy place to conduct their business at.
"... result is this delay on the development of the new versions."
Again, there is proof Team M33 won't be releasing any new firmware versions any time soon due to the leak.
So in the end this turn of events goes to solidify my point that these so called "scene" sites are not helping developments, but are only feeding off of talented developers work to promote their money hungry agendas.

via Computer and Video Games
A company called NEO, mostly known for its DS and GBA flash carts and gadgetry in the homebrew/piracy scene, has made a motion sensor for PSP.
The tiny gadget (pictured) slots into the earphone jack of the PSP and enable the PSP, and draws power from the console itself. It allows the handheld to detect movement, likely using similar accelerometer tech to the Wii Remote.
It looks like a great little gadget but there's a catch: it doesn't work with any retail games. The device has been created as a tool for homebrew programmers to utilise in their bedroom programming creations. So it's great if you're running custom firmware and are into to homebrew scene, useless if you're not. It also won't work with the new slim PSP.
We can only hope that a developer takes notice and ceases the opportunity to produce a gadget like this for a more mainstream game.

SuccessHK has today put online the new 80GB Playstation 3, the 80GB PS3 is retailing at a price of USD 549.03 (£275)
For us in ripoff Britain thats a saving of at least £130 ($260) off the price of the console here. (and thats for the 60GB Version)
Also i always recommend that you ship using airmail, it will cost around $70 or £35 and you should avoid nasty import taxes (especially if the company put sample on the box )
Remember that all PS3 Games are worldwide region free so no worries on that score and that the consoles can have the language changed to any language you want. (A jap or asian PS3 will sacrifice PS1/PS2 region compatability but when the deals sweet do you really care)
Import Consoles will only play Region A Blueray films but you will find that even in the UK the majority of films are Region Free too. The quality of Blue Ray films played at 1080 resolution is something to marvel at.
