The critically acclaim new Final Fantasy titles have been kept for PS3 only. Over at the TGS, taking action from 20 - 23 of September in... Tokyo of course, two new trailers of the title were shown. Both ending with bold letters reading "For Playstation 3 ONLY".
Very sad news for the 360 owners and Final Fantasy lovers out there, and very good news for PS3 owners.

This game is my first game ever, so don't expect too much in it.
It's a little musical game, which gives you the ability to replay melodies.
It's just a early version of this game, so not much features are available, but i'll improve the game as fast as i can.
If you have any suggestions for new features -> give me an answer ;P

This adds a new bootmenu to a magic memorystick of the Pandora battery with some new functions and abilities.
Key features:
* Choose to boot firmware from memory stick, internal flash or the original Pandora mainmenu
* Fix flash1:/ (the one holding the settings and config) by formatting it and creating all directories
* Launch an additional application (PSPFiler or such) with working access to the real flash0:/
* Launch custom firmware installer (OE / M33) with working flash0:/ access, so it can install the CFW straight from a Pandora boot without the need to downgrade to 1.50 first, no matter of the current state (and version) of the internal flash.
* Access flash0:/, flash1:/ or memory stick via USB (straight from the menu)

Devil May Cry 4 is going to be brilliant, and this trailer pretty much sums up why.
Giant bosses, incredible visuals and ridiculous, over-exaggerated violence is everything you want in a game like this and DMC4 has it all in spades.
We've already defeated that giant flame monster thingy is an early version of the game - you should take a look at that preview right now.

Codemasters has confirmed to GamesIndustry.biz it has pulled a major advertising campaign for the PlayStation 3 version of Colin McRae: DIRT.
The publisher has cancelled the TV campaign as a sign of respect following McRae's death last weekend.
"With consideration to and in agreement with McRae's family, there was a stop put on the TV ads that were planned to run on Sky channels at the weekend and through this week," said a spokesperson for Codemasters.
"All media owners contacted were understanding and cooperative," said the company
Codemasters released a statement earlier in the week, paying tribute to the "inspirational" McRae, who has worked closely with the firm on multiple racing games.

The PlayStation Store will be getting a few new items this week to take a look at, since today is, of course, Thursday. Four new demos will be available in today's update, including ones for Skate, NBA 08, Sega Rally Revo and Stuntman: Ignition. There will also be a brand new downloadable game for purchase: LocoRoco Cocoreccho! for $6.99.
In addition to these bigger updates, there will also be a few new wallpapers to peruse through, as well as new trailers for GT5 Prologue, Ratchet & Clank Future and Devil May Cry 4.

As mentioned by Kaz in his TGS keynote, the power of the PS3 has carried the Folding@home project to a milestone never before reached on a distributed computing network - the petaflop...one quadrillion floating point operations per second. It would take everyone in the world doing 75,000 calculations in a second to achieve similar results, so the milestone is pretty massive.
"The recent inclusion of PS3 as part of the Folding@home program has afforded our research group with computing power that goes far beyond what we initially hoped," said Vijay Pande, Associate Professor of Chemistry at Stanford University and Folding@home project lead. "Thanks to PS3, we are now essentially able to fast-forward several aspects of our research by a decade, which will greatly help us make more discoveries and advancements in our studies of several different diseases."

Early reports this afternoon indicate that a beta version of the uncut Manhunt 2 has been leaked onto the internet by unnamed hackers. The code in question is for the PS2 version of the controversial title, of a build that pre-dates the game's banning in several countries.
Rockstar have yet to offer comment on the stolen code, and are presumably working hard to halt distribution of the illegal game, which was banned in several European nations, and effectively prevented from going on sale by Sony and Nintendo in the USA.
'Team Slonik' are taking credit for delivering the leaked copy of the game to the internet, according to ProjectManhunt.com, though how genuine this game really is is very much open to debate. That being said, we do hear reports that cut-scenes taken from the uncut beta have found there way onto you YouTube, much to Rockstar's consternation no doubt.

JUDGING CRITERIA
To help the skin developers make the most of their work, here are a few things that the judges will be looking for:- Accuracy - How well does the skin integrate with iR Shell ? Does the color.def file fit ? (this is a must !)
- Creativity - How unique is the theme ?
- Details - How has the developer designed the fine details of the skin ? What defines the USB section, and differentiates itself from the Wifi section ?
- Style - How well do the colors, icons, details, menus, etc. blend together in the theme of the skin ?
Judging the skins will not be limited to the above list. These are just some of the things the skin developer should keep in mind when creating the skin.

(SCEI) Sony today announced that it would release DUALSHOCK®3 Wireless Controller, a new controller for PLAYSTATION®3 (PS3™) incorporating a rumble feature, in Japan in November as a separately sold accessory. It inherits the basic design and functionality of the popular PlayStation® controller, while keeping the high-precision, high response motion sensitive six-axis sensing system. Introduction to North American and European markets is expected in spring 2008.
The added rumble feature, combined with the highly realistic motion sensitive six-axis sensing system, takes gamers deeper into the world of interactivity, delivering a more intuitive, realistic and immersive game play experience. The new controller will also benefit PS3 content creators, by giving them the ability to further expand their creative imagination. PS3 titles that are already in the market may become compatible with the rumble feature through software update.
With DUALSHOCK 3 and the attractive lineup of PS3 titles incorporating the rumble feature, SCEI will introduce more new ways of enjoyment that can only be found on PS3, and will further redefine the world of entertainment.

now im not totally anti sony, i own a psp a ps2 and a ps1 and some of their other stuff, but this was inevitable rly.
"IGN was hanging out at Electronic Art's pre-Tokyo Game Show press event playing Burnout Paradise when they felt something funny. The PS3 controller in their hands started to shake, thus fulfilling the prophecy set forth by Ashcraft back in July at E3."

Kaz Hirai's opening keynote for Tokyo Game Show featured plenty of announcements, but one that should interest PSP owners is that Sony has announced a version of the PlayStation Store accessible by PCs. The store is now live for Japanese gamers, featuring downloads like original PlayStation One games for the PSP, bypassing the need for a PLAYSTATION 3 with which to download content.
While the PlayStation Store is already live in Japan, it's restricted to that region only, so navigating it will be a challenge or impossibility for those in Europe and North America.
