Gamasutra has the story (by way of the currently-down GamePolitics) that Jack Thompson could be facing a contempt charge over his antics during the Bully fiasco. From the article:
"According to the report, the contempt of court request could find Thompson facing jail time, though it is more likely that 'fines, judicial admonishment or censure' would result from this most recent turn of events. The report also notes that attorneys representing the Philadelphia law firm Blank-Rome have filed a 'Petition for Order to Show Cause,' which requires Thompson to illustrate to a judge why he should not be held in contempt

New from Eurogamer
Lumines II is due out on 17th November and previewed on the site today, and in order to give you an idea how the new licensed music looks, we've also got a video of the skin based on New Order's "Regret" for you to check out.
It's up on Eurogamer TV now. As with other Lumines skins, the New Order effort sees your actions applying different twinkly extra bits to the music, as well as varying the speed of various gameplay elements.
The full game includes over 60 skins, including some based on the likes of The Go! Team's "Bottle Rocket", Fatboy Slim's "Gangsta' Trippin'" and others from Beck, Black Eyed Peas and even Gwen Stefani. Woo!

Sony's target of shipping two million PS3s in the US and Japan this year and six million worldwide by March may be missed and the Blu-ray is again the cause.
"The honest answer is it's more of a target," said co-chairman of SCE Jack Tretton. "Clearly we've had production issues."
The shipping target for PS3 has been cut due to a parts shortage in the Blu-ray disc drive, reports Bloomberg.

Eidos executive Ian Livingstone has told GamesIndustry.biz that Sony's decision to delay PS3 in Europe was "strange" - and that it will test the loyalty of consumers.
Speaking in an exclusive interview Livingstone said, "I think it was a strange decision, given that Europe has been the most successful market for PS1 and PS2. The decision is certainly going to test the resolve of their faithful consumers hitherto loyal to the brand.
"It means that Microsoft will have had the luxury of selling the 360 for two Christmases without competition from Sony - and let Nintendo's Wii in too. I'm sure Sony never planned it that way, but it does put them in a tight spot.
"Coming third to market with the most expensive console can't be a place they want to be," he added.
However, Livingstone believes Sony will still dominate the market in Europe, observing, "In the end it is software that sells hardware, and you can guarantee that there will be some titles that will be exclusive to PS3 that will make it a 'must have' purchase - remember how Tomb Raider drove sales of PS1 and Grand Theft Auto droves sales of PS2."
As for markets outside Europe - Nintendo will "probably win in Japan", according to Livingstone, and " Xbox 360 will probably win in the US, because they'll have had a year already over PS3 and they've got the online capabilities absolutely nailed down".
However, he continued, "You can never discount Sony, and PlayStation 3 will be a success despite murmurings to the contrary. Sony is the best consumer electronics company in the world, and PlayStation is very much part of their success, so they'll make it happen."

Production issues continue to plague Sony, as the firm expresses its doubts that it may not be able to meet its intended shipment figures for the PlayStation 3.
The format holder has previously promised two million units of its new home console on retail shelves in the US and Japan by the end of 2006, but recent comments from Jack Tretton, co-chairman of SCEA have cast doubt over the firms ability to deliver.
Speaking of the shipment figures to Bloomberg, Tretton stated, "The honest answer is it's more of a target."
"Clearly we've had production issues," said Tretton, referring to the manufacturing difficulties Sony has encountered with elements of the Blu-Ray drive in the PlayStation 3.
Any further delays to the consoles manufacturing process, or shortages of units at retail, would clearly be bad news for the company.
Only last week Sony Corp reduced its profits forecast by 38 per cent, due to a range of factors including a price reduction of the PS3 in Japan, a delayed European launch, poor PSP sales and a global recall of notebook batteries
The PlayStation 3 is due to launch on November 11th in Japan and November 17th in North America. The company plans to ship six million units by the end of March 2007.

The launch date for Sony's first standalone Blu-Ray player, the BDP-S1, has been pushed back yet again - meaning the machine won't now arrive until the PS3 is already in shops.
The BDP-S1, which has been repeatedly delayed, was most recently down for an October launch.
However, according to the official Sony website, the machine will now be available "on our about December 4, 2006". As a result, the PlayStation 3 - which is due to launch in the US on November 17 - will be the first Blu-Ray player to hit the market.
That was not the original plan - but it could be that Sony has now decided against its strategy of getting Blu-Ray established in the marketplace first, opting to use PS3 to promote the format instead.
Or it could simply be that the company is worried about blue laser diode shortages compounding the problem of PS3 shortages, and has decided to delay the launch of the BDP-S1 in order to allocate more diodes to PS3 manufacture.
The BDP-S1 is still set to retail for USD 999.95 in North America - making the PlayStation 3, which costs USD 499 for the 20GB version or USD 599 for the 60GB model, a cheaper alternative for early Blu-Ray adopters.

edited 10-24-2006 - new revision available - PSPSeq 1.01
there were a few minor bugs in PSPSeq 1.00; they are now patched and the latest version is available for download here. enjoy!
original message below...
-----
hello everyone - i've just released PSPSeq 1.00, a multitrack software synthesizer and sequencer for writing music on the PSP. some of the features that it has over the last version of PSPSeq (0.20) are:
- editable parameters on instruments
- customizable instrument groupings
- multiple loops/song sequencing for writing entire songs
- tap tempo
- improvements and optimizations to many of the generators and fx, along with new instruments
- configurable loop length
- proper swing handling
the main difference between this program and PSPRhythm and PSPKick is that PSPSeq is solely based on software synthesis while the other two are primarily sample playback sequencers.
billy of PSPRhythm wrote a cool demo song. you can grab that here.
enjoy!

Remember when eBay was shutting down PlayStation 3 auctions, even going so far as to temporarily ban user accounts for listing pre-sale items? Well, that bleak period of time for eBay scalpers has passed. Now, the gouging can continue, nearly unfettered by the overlords at eBay.
So what do you have to do to sell YOUR PlayStation 3 reserve receipt to some chump with too much money combined with too little sense? You, Mr. Seller...
1. Must have a feedback of 50 or more
2. Feedback score must be 98% or higher
3. You can only list one system with a photo of your pre-order recipt
4. You must take PayPal as the only payment option
5. You must include a photo of the receipt of the listing
6. No Buy It Now allowed
7. No one day listing allowed
f you're new to eBay, you better start selling your wares to get that feedback score up. Additionally, there are more rules that pre-sellers must adhere to.
The seller must guarantee that the item will be available for shipping within 30 days from the date of purchase (i.e., the day the listing ends or the date the item is purchased from a store front listing). The seller must also clearly indicate within the listing the fact that the item is a pre-sale item with a delivery date that indicates the item will be shipped by the 30th day from the end date of the listing. Additionally, this text must be no less than the default font size of the eBay Sell-Your-Item form.
The full rules and repurcussions can be found at the Pre-Sale Listing rules page. Anyone interested in screwing over their fellow gamers (or simply taking advantage of a smart capitalistic opportunity) had best get their auction going, as the population of insane PlayStation 3 buyers can't be that large. Can it?

Theres discussion around the PSP Scene about the Legalitys of Firmware Updating, heres what HeyU posted on the official Sony forums:
Well, it seems I may be on to something. I was thinking, that since a minor may not enter into a contract, which is what an update is, sony would have to resore it to its original condition if a minor updated it. Now the problem is, how do you prove that a minor updated it? It sux, because I would definately pull this on them if I could prove I updated. Any thoughts, I mean someone should video tape themself with their Photo ID in the pic, and update, thenget sony in court and see if they would comply. They would have to...... Its The Law!!!
Thoughts on this ?

YodaJr has updated his Zelda Clone for the PSP named Legend of Zelda: The Stroke of Link, heres what he posted (translated from French) in his release thread:
Good, to celebrate my place with the compo () vala a final version with some small additions sugérés by Miles teg
In the large changes, y' once has the addition of a selector of level dispo one finished at least once the play:
I also added the stats of the number of test per level: summary by selecting “scores” with the principal menu and final note at the end of the play.
If not in the details, I modified the safeguard, therefore your old save will not be compatible with this version. The advantage is that it is placed better, the anim of passage of level is again fluid. Anim which one can swapper with X now

There seems to have been an update on NJ 's site that been posted today for his Neo Geo Emulator 'MVSPSP 1.0 / Kernel Mode version (2006/10/22)'.
His website has also been tweaked making it much easier for people to see what they are now downloading.
If someone could please translate what or if there has been any significant changes to MVSPSP that would be great.

Hi all
I have found a way to get a custom font onto a 2.81 psp.
First of all is you have to have a 2.70 - 2.80 psp
You must first install the tiff font hack run it and istall your custom font. See my guide - http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=36130
The once you have done that update your psp to 2.81 and once updated your custom font should remain the same as it was on 2.70 - 2.80
and there you have it
this should work even as you update to 3.00 when it comes out.
But once you have updated to 2.81 DO NOT PULL YOUR MEMORY CARD OUT WHILE THE PSP IS SWITCHED ON OR YOU WILL LOOSE YOUR CUSTOM FONT!!!!!!!
enjoy!
