This should allow for easy homebrew launching on th PS2
Via memento website:
http://www.memento.smtp.ru/
Finally we are almost done!
We had some last minute issues and decided to test them deeper to be sure that all was working good.
We are still completing the User interface and will have to need a couple more days to finish up.
We decided meantime to release this first BETA PAL ONLY version of the software for everyone to test.
This should start to give you a good idea about how easy and flexible the final release wil be, but remember, is only a BETA!!
Download the file from the download section at the bottom of this page, and have fun testing it.
Final version is due this week.

ChillyWilly has released his own port of Doom for the PSP, heres the details:
Here's my conversion of ADoomPPC, one of the better DOOM conversions (for the Amiga). It's got a simple, decent gui that runs before you start the game which allows you to set most of the major DOOM settings. On the Slim PSP, it supports TV out. This arc includes the source, two sets of MIDI instruments and the shareware WAD file. Up to date as of 2007/10/28

Introducing theb1rdm4n’s first PSP homebrew game, “Birdman’s Shooter.” Loosely based on the classic arcade game Galaga, Birdman’s Shooter is written in C and definitely shows true potential. theb1rdm4n notes one known issue: sometimes enemies end up stuck together and don’t move; this bug will most likely be corrected in the next version. Check back soon for future releases.

News/release from JasonUK
Here is a quick hacked up ELF menu for Pandora.
The idea is to replace ms0:/kd/resurrection.elf on your magic memory stick with this, so the PSP loads it when you insert the Pandora battery + memory stick, and it shows a list of ELFs inside the ms0:/elf folder (it will give a warning and shutdown if the folder doesnt exist or there are no ELFs inside it)
Use D-Pad up/down to choose the ELF you want to run, and press X.
There sometimes seem to be problems if the filename contains spaces or symbols, so use underscores(_) instead. These will be converted to spaces on the menu, so they look nicer The menu isn't perfect, but it should have no trouble displaying at least 20 apps.
If the ELF fails to run, the screen usually flickers and remains on the ELF menu.
Note: you must use ELFs with this, EBOOT.PBP files are likely to fail (Use PBPUnpacker to extract DATA.PSP from whatever EBOOT you want to run, and rename it to whatever.elf)
Finally, there is a Shutdown option at the bottom.
CHANGELOG:
0.1 -> 0.1a
- Now sets the current working directory, so apps which load PRXs from the same folder as the elf will be fine
- Moved "Now loading.../shutting down..." message

News/release from zx-81:
Hi All,
For windows users who want to develop on their windows PC, little homebrew for the PSP, without spending hours or days trying to install cygwin and compile the toolchain, this package is for you !!
You have first to install VirtualBox that is freely available : http://www.virtualbox.org/
You should then download all rar files present here :
http://zx81.zx81.free.fr/public/psp/virtualbox/
You have to unrar the rar archive in disk1.vdi (you need at least 4Gb of free space on your hard disk)
Then create a new virtual host, Linux 2.6 with 256 Mb of memory, and use the disk1.vdi as a disk image !
This disk image contains a full install of xubuntu 7.4, where the PSP SDK has been already compiled, and several other software added (such as the famous IDE Kdevelop, gcc, SDL etc ...).
After virtually booting Xubuntu, the login name is psp, and the password is psp.
I've written a small PSP project (hello world) for Kdevelop, ready to use.
The source code of PSPWrite is also given as an example, with a linux version and a PSP version (but with makefile only, without project file for Kdevelop).
Hope that helps,
Zx

News/release from Filippo Battaglia
The new release of Nanodesktop library, the SDK for development of
portable applications on PSPE/PSP has been released and it is ready
for download at the Visilab server.
This version of the SDK introduces new tecnologies that have been
used also for the known Nanodesktop Blind Assistant program.
In particular:
- it introduces the support for the internet connections, through an API that
makes easier to write network software for the PSP;
- the libraries ndCurl and ndGCurl, that manage network connections
(with a graphical feedback) and file transfers;
- the CvAux algorithms in the ndOpenCV library (in these routines there are
also the tecnologies for face recognition, as PCA/EigenFaces or Hidden
Markov Model used in Blind Assistant);
- the new audio system EAS (Envelope Audio System), an API that allows
to generate all sounds with a frequency bounded between 8 Khz and
48 Khz;
- the new MEDIA API, that allows to the programmer to decode WAV or MP3
sample without using the main processor (the software uses Sony Media
Engine for decoding), without using external libraries, and through a single
row of code;
- the engine of vocal synthesis ndFLite, based on a port of the engine FLite
originally released by the Carnegie Mellon University
- a better NanoC library
The documentation has been updated. From Visilab website you can
download a doc of two hundreds of pages that illustrates the fundamental
features of the graphical system. This is only a small part of all
features that nd offers to its users, but we are working to extend the
doc even more in a near future. The doc is in any case sufficient to
create the first applications.
The downloads can be done here:
http://visilab.unime.it/~filippo/
There is also a new package for Blind Assistant that could be easier
to install.
Thank you for your interest
Filippo Battaglia
