News/release from Moonlight:
This is a sample to start the psp slim tv out from homebrew, using whatever cable (d-terminal has not been tested, but i think it has same code as component), and use it in full screen.
You start the sample normally, and then the sample connects to the tv out.
To use it in your code, you just have to replace the call to sceDisplaySetMode with the call to my custom function pspDveMgrSetVideoOut (which calls sceImposeSetVideoOutMode, which at the end calls sceDisplaySetMode), and be aware of the bigger resolution.
The good thing about the tv out, is that the resolution is really bigger (720x503 in composite, 720x480 in component), so it would be cool that video applications are ported to use it
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=QJQ8DEFH
He also updated with this
If it is help for anyone, these are the reversed and recompilable code of dve.prx and hibari.prx (hibari is needed to make the psp slim screen display work, and probably is required for tv output too).
The clones can replace the ones of 3.60 M33 and work perfectly like the original For 3.71, it should be just a matter of changing the nids (only the one of imports, the one of exports are unaltered).
The code has much unknowns, and maybe not that readable, but still better than asm

We want you!
That's what the psx4all team says when it comes to their PS1P port. PS1P's roots within the psx4all codebase was known by few.
But Anonymous Coder is back onboard, and we're testing the waters to see if there's demand for such a large scale homebrew project on the PSP!
For those unaware, psx4all is a lightweight handheld PS1 emulator targetting ARM CPU based handhelds such as the GP2X. With a focus on performance and a wide host of talent onboard from many different scenes, it's the one to get the job done.
Normally there would be no issue just going ahead with this project. We have been toying with the idea of a redesigned psx4all specifically for MIPS based handhelds, as opposed to current our current ARM Dynarec based emulator. But with Popstation out, will a commercial emulator prevail over homebrew?
The psx4all team member ZodTTD wants readers to give feedback on what truly matters to PSP users. Based on feedback at www.zodttd.com you can determine whether this project sees the light of day!

Dark_AleX has released a BETA USB flash fix for 3.71 M33-2.
Here's what jas0nuk said at the release.
Dark_AleX has sent me this file for you guys to test, which he says should fix the flash0 over USB nand corruption issues.
The problem:
Sony's lflash driver cannot retrieve the last sector. DAX fixed this by using internal functions of the lflash to do it directly, but it appears this may be glitchy at random intervals (though he managed to restore an entire flash0 dump before releasing M33-2 and had no problems).
This was introduced in M33-2, rather than the original code. The fix for M33-2 was a separate ioctl handling issue.
The fix:
Overwrite flash0:/kd/usbdevice.prx with the attached file.
It uses the old flash0 over USB code, with the small-file corruption issue from 3.71 M33-1 fixed.
Obviously you'll have to use flash0 over usb to actually copy this file, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A WORKING NAND DUMP BEFORE YOU DO, as you may corrupt the partition records when copying it. (Unlikely but possible).
He is releasing the source to this file very shortly.
And true to his word, he indeed released the source. Here's what Dark_AleX said.
This is the source of the last usbdevice.prx, in case anyone is interested.
Let's hope this one has not the bug.
Personally, I recommend installing this right away - especially if you use custom themes alot.

Free Radical's always bashed the right nerve with its TimeSplitters FPS series, which is why we're all over Haze like a rash.
New screenshots, including snaps of the shooter's co-op mode, are on this page and demanding your attention.
Haze is set in a near-future where the government has outsourced military operations to private multinational corporations. You play Jake Carpenter, a soldier who works for the Mantel Corporation who has access to high-tech vehicles, kick-ass weapons and performance enhancing bio-medical support.
Free Radical director David Doak has said previously that one of the developer's key goals with the game is "to make people think" in addition to "pushing the bar with gameplay and presentation".
He explained, "...in Haze we're trying to examine more the feeling of the soldier. If you're fighting in a war, you need to somehow justify your actions, so in Haze we actually cause the player to question that to some extent".
Currently, Haze has only been officially confirmed as a PS3 release this year. Expect more versions in 2008.

Well, it looks like that CECHG01 model PlayStation 3 wasn't the only one that the FCC got to spend a bit of time with recently, with the hereto unheard of CECHH01 model now also finding its way into a couple of more recent filings with the commission.
While we can't say for sure what's what, that model number is certainly more than a tad similar to the recently revealed 40GB CECHH00 model announced for Japan, which would seem to suggest that this one can't be all that different. Additionally, from what little info we could glean online (see link below), it appears that this particular model packs a "new board" and, most likely, two USB ports instead of the usual four. More on this as we get it.

via Games Industry
Despite recent announcements of a lower-priced PS3 being released in Japan and Europe, Sony has not yet confirmed that a similar model will be sold in the US.
Nevertheless, the assumption is that such a console will be made available in early November, supported by internal documents obtained from a US retailer showing the new SKU as well as documents Sony filed with the FCC on a new product with a model designation similar to those of the existing PS3 consoles.
The Hollywood Reporter became the latest to join the rumour mill, recently reporting that both an industry source and a retail buyer expect the new system to be released on November 2.
So, with all the chatter, why hasn't SCEA admitted the existence of the new model?
"These rolling announcements suggest to me that Sony has an inventory control problem, with too many unsold 60GB units out there, and they don't want to have to cut the price to clear them," Wedbush Morgan securities analyst Michael Pachter told GamesIndustry.biz.
Pachter thinks that Sony will either wait to announce the 40GB model after the 60GB units have been cleared out, or else it will "accept reality and bundle [the 60GB with] a game and an extra controller for USD 499.99, giving consumers some value for their money."
As with other analysts, Pachter does expect the price reduction to significantly drive sales volume. He estimates that the PS3 sell-though may pick up 50 per cent for every hundred dollars in price reduction.
Pachter doesn't believe the loss of backwards compatibility will be an issue.
"I don't think most people who waited this long care enough about backwards compatibility to affect their decision either way," he said.
Nintendo has already publicly stated that the Wii will once again be in short supply this holiday season. Might that encourage Wii-less consumers to purchase a PS3 instead?
"In my view, the typical Wii buyer is either someone who would not have otherwise bought a [games console] but was intrigued by the Wii, or is someone who fully intends to buy a PS3 or 360 eventually, when price or software support is sufficient to prompt them to do so," explained Pachter.

October 15th, 2007, 12:31 Posted By: -Xandu-
From the sounds of it, it is now possible to cause a FULL UNRECOVERABLE brick on your 3.71 M33-2 PSP.
Symptoms:
You used USB flash access to write something to flash0/1/2/3, either in recovery or in VSH after re-routing USB. Although Dark_AleX fixed the bug that was present in 3.60 M33 and 3.71 M33-1 (which caused files larger than approx. 60kb to be corrupted), flash writing is still unreliable. It seems the nand partitioning is messed up after a USB flash write.
After flash access through USB, you either get an infinite BSOD or a PSP that doesn't boot at all. The PSP can't be recovered by Pandora or any of the Cemetery sticks!
Precautions:
Don't use USB flash write access when on 3.71 M33-2 until further notice! If you did and you get a BSOD, don't press O! It will cause an infinite BSOD loop that can't be fixed. According to some reports in other threads, when you hard power off your PSP at the BSOD (power switch or battery out) you have a small chance to get the PSP booting again, but some things will not function since flash1 is not correctly initialized. Probably a "restore default settings" may fix this, otherwise, try the flash1 format from recovery.
Solutions:
When you have a working full nand dump safely stored somewhere, use the Cemetery V3 stick to restore it to your PSP. On the fat, you can also use Cory's upNandTool or a similar tool, on the slim you can also use Cemetery V1 or V2. Don't try to use Pandora, because it does a logical restore and for this problem, you need a physical restore. Remember that it's impossible to restore any other PSP's nand dump, because you will screw up IDStorage beyond any repair!!!
When you don't have a nand backup but your PSP is a fat, get a nand backup from another PSP. It may be of any fw version, although only 1.50 will boot instantly. The important part is the partitioning, not the nand contents. Before doing anything to your bricked PSP, use Pandora or any Cemetery stick to create a full backup of your nand! Store it safely on your PC, and maybe a copy on another media. After making sure your nand backup is safe, use Cemetery V3 to restore the other nand dump. Pandora will not work because you need a physical restore, not a logical. When you restored a 1.50 dump, your PSP should now boot again. With any other firmware, it will still be a brick. You should now be able to use Pandora or Cemetery to unbrick it. All that remains is to restore your own IDStorage, or your PSP will be homebrew only. Use the dump you created from your own bricked PSP and Cory's upNandTool to restore IDStorage only without overwriting the other nand contents. Now your PSP should be fully functional again.
When you don't have a nand backup and your PSP is a slim, you're screwed. Restoring another PSP's nand dump won't work because of the protections Sony added to the slim on nand level, including signing and encryption. If you still want to give it a go, you can try the procedure described above for the fat. But use the 64M version of upNandTool instead. And only use another slim's nand dump, a fat's dump will definitely not work.
FINAL WARNING !!!
Especially on the Slim, before doing anything that writes to your nand (including regular updates), create a nand dump! Store it on your PC and on another media and make sure it's safe! Currently it's your only chance of unbricking a full brick!
[EDIT] It seems to me that Sony is no longer afraid of bricking their customer's PSPs. My guess is that part of the nand protection they already put in the slim's hardware, has been incorporated into the 3.71 firmware, causing all kinds of corruptions whenever a flash write is done. Although it still could be a stupid bug...

News/release from BlackShark:
Hello, this is My little game called Hannah Banana. I made it for my friend's
little sister, Hannah, for her birthday. Development time was Fast, about a week,
(during a school week to be exact). So please excuse the error's/bugs that may still be in there.
Controls -
Menu | Up/Down = Switch options (self explainatory)
Left/Right = Changes Difficulty (Hard, Medium, Easy)
Cross = Confirm
Game | Left/Right = Move left or right
Select = go to menu
...thats it
Game Play -
Simple all you have to do is use your orange trampoline and bounce the banana's
to the other side of the screen, You must save them all!!1!1!!11. You can go through
the screen and come out of the other side, this speeds up game play quite a bit,
and you'll lose fast if you try to walk all the way back. This game also allows you
to load your own music from the menu, though there is a little bug that causes it to,
"freeze". You can fix this by pressing SELECT, and try the option again.
(NOTE) MP3 LOADER LOOKS FOR DIRECTORY ms0://MUSIC/, IF IT CAN"T FIND IT, THEN GAME
MIGHT CRASH.

News/release from HelldashX:
NID CHANGER v.1.0
This program allows you to change the NIDs in a prx/elf.
So,using this program you can make a prx with the new NIDs (3.71) or the old ones (3.52 <),making it easy to analyze them etc..
The program doesn't check if the code using the NID is correct or not,so,when a NID changed (like with the syscon.prx) the prx will not correctly work, even if you change the NID (using the program). But,this happens just with a few,so with the others it will probably work.
In the moment the program analizes and tries to change 185 NIDs,soon enough I will have the full programm ready with all NIDs.(It looks for NIDs from ata.prx,syscon.prx and a few more).
So,in the program you can do 4 things:
Press X to change the old NIDs to new NIDs from the folder "ms0:/prx".
Press [] to change new NIDs to old NIDs(ms0:/prx).
Press () to backup your prx's from "ms0:/prx" to ms0:/prx_BACKUP",under this option the program tells you the size of the folder.Make sure you have enough space to backup, else the ms will be corrupt.
Press /\ to exit.
NOTE: In case you want to edit the credit with a hex editor,or whatever, the program will not work. You have been warned.
_HellDashX_
PS. I will not release the source code, Don't ask for it.

Details are admittedly scant on this one, but after Don Eklund, executive VP of advanced technologies for Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, got done praising the growth of high-definition movies at HDTV DisplaySearch, he also mentioned that the PlayStation 3 was due a firmware update. More specifically, he noted that the PS3 "is expected to soon offer a firmware upgrade to boost its Blu-ray interactivity functionality," but unfortunately, he failed to elaborate. One could hope that the update would bring along at least some of the niceties waiting in Profile 1.1, but until we get clarification (or are surprised by the actual release), we'll leave the speculating to you.

once again weltall has updated CW Cheat, you can download it from Here
Change log for this release is as follows:
CHANGELOG:
0.1.9 REV.G RELEASE
=====================
- [GAME] Added a new code type: inverse jocker code. It works just like the jocker code but it skips specified lines if the specified buttons are
pressed. 0xDnnnnnnn 0x2vvvvvvv n = number of lines skipped (n= 0 => 1) v = keymask
- [GAME] Corrected a little glitch in the 32 bit increment/decrement codes which could lead to them not being recognised by the engine.
- [GAME] various optimizations on bitwise operators codes
- [ALL] now the text reader allocates it's buffer on the kernel ram if the screenshoot compatibility mode is enabled (default).
For now this reduces the file size loadable when screenshoot compatibility mode is enabled.
This is the first steep for the text reader file reading management rewrite to let a teorically indefinite file size while keeping the buffers
as little as possible.
- [IRSHELL] in irshell builds Game name is cleaned when going in game mode, so if the game is missing in the db it won't be shown as "HOMEBREW"
- [ALL] Added a preliminar undo function in the cheat searcher. Press L while pressing X to enter the continue search to enable this.
- [PACKAGE] Separated the readme file in two files: one exclusively in english and one exclusively in italian
Thanks again Weltall for your continued support of the PSP scene,
Mike..

Highsight has updated his impressive 3D Maze Game:
You got it was done, YOU WERE WRONG! >=D Yes, MazeGen3D 2.0 is OUT! Now with tons of wicked cool stuff.
Added:
Menus (Lol Text GUI)
Save Mazes
Load Mazes
Pause Menu
(semi)MP3 Support!
Changes:
3D Rendering has been GREATLY improved, now guaranteed to be LAG FREE regardless of maze size!
Changing Maze Size is now MUCH easier, Maximum Sizes changed to 100.
ToDo:
Maze Editor
Save Games
OGG Support (almost done, minor problems)
Full, skipless MP3 Support
Perfect 3D Rendering (You MAY see empty spaces, this is a known bug.)
Map Packs
How to...:
Add Music: Place all MP3s you would like to listen to while you play into "ms0:/MUSIC/".
Add Mazes: With the ability to save and load Mazes, people can now post Mazes online, in order to play these mazes, simply place all .mze files in the "Mazes" directory.
Special Thanks to:
jsharrad (For turning it into EBoot form!)
Tactical Penguin (Could never have done this without your 3D tutorials, you're a credit to the LUA world! )
Bleh (For his 3D Camera tutorial)
Cools (For his awesome LUA Mod!)
Final Notes:
With the creation of .mze files I really hope to see some mazes on the internet. Although there is no maze editor now, you can still create your own mazes by hand in ANY text editor. All you have to do is create an array (or even just copy another one) and place the following:
0 = Wall
1 = Path
2 = Start Point
3 = Ending Point (MUST BE FACING NORTH!)
You don't need to name the maze files anything special, you just need to have a ".mze" extension. Enjoy!

We've finished playing through Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow (pictured – expect a review later today) and couldn't help noticing a demo for Syphon Filter: Combat Ops included on the UMD.
"What in the God of Ballistics is this," you ask? It's a fair question. Combat Ops is an unannounced multiplayer-only Syphon Filter game. We'll bring you a preview soon, but for now we can disclose it offers fully customisable multiplayer maps created in Mission Modifier mode (you can remix pre-existing maps or create them from scratch).
A maximum of eight players can enjoy these through either ad-hoc or infrastructure support, and they should expect to find the same multiplayer game types as those in Logan's Shadow – that's deathmatch, team deathmatch, retrieval, sabotage and rogue agent.
Effectively, it's a map editor that we suspect would have been included in Logan's Shadow but probably didn't fit in the UMD. As an expansion rather than a standalone game, we suspect it'll turn up for download.
We'll have to wait and see, however, as there's yet been no confirmation from Sony about any of this – we're simply going by what we've found while reviewing the latest Syphon Filter PSP outing.

New! OE and M33 custom firmwares supported! Tested on 3.10OE-A and 3.71 M33.
See readme.txt for installation instructions.
After installing, wait at least 30 seconds before turning off USB or pulling out your memory stick. The PC caches your changes and doesn't write them out until a while later. If your memory card gets corrupt, use "chkdsk /f X:" I advise against saving your game after using cheats. Please note that when you spawn vehicles, you are using a game cheat that will lower your criminal rating!

v2.4:
3.10OE-A and higher and 3.71 M33 supported!
