Kagato has posted an entry into the Neoflash Coding Contest:
Nickname: Kagato
Project name : Bumper Harvest
From : Australia

Original enter : YES
Support Motion : NO
In last NEO Compo this project have won in the top 10 : NO
Project description:
Yes, it's harvest time down at the bumper farm!
Grab all the ripe red bumpers from the field!
Bumper Harvest is a tribute to a very popular (and very addictive)
casual game for the PC.
Use the D-Pad to aim the ball launcher left and right.
Hold down L to fine-tune your aiming.
Fire the ball by pressing X.
As the ball hits the small bumpers, they light up and are removed from the
field. Hit all the red bumpers to progress to the next level.
Red bumpers are worth 200 points; all others are worth 100 points.
Green bumpers give you 3 targeting guides each. There are two on each level.
Hold down R while aiming to use a targeting guide.
Guides are not saved between levels, so use 'em or lose 'em.
The yellow bumper gives you a bonus score multiplier. There is one on each level. All bumpers hit after the yellow bumper on the current shot are worth 10 times their normal score.
There are also two fixed bumpers on each level which are simply obstacles, and two active bumpers which give the ball a boost.
At the bottom of the screen is the return chute, which gives you a free ball if the ball lands in it at the end of the shot.
I'm happy with the way it's turned out, but I've cut it pretty fine.
EDIT: Well that wasn't so hard. One line to re-enable the old sound system! The new version uses LuaPlayer HM3 so it should work well on all PSPs. It has been tested on Phat 3.71 M33. I couldn't get it to load MP3 versions of the sound effects, so it's still just over 2MB.
Install the same as any other app to the PSP/GAME or PSP/GAME3xx folder.

This is my Coverflow Application for the PSP.
It plays Mp3's at 30 MHz.
Installing:
Put the Coverflow Directory into PSP/GAME/ or whatever you prefer.
You have to put your Mp3's into the MUSIC folder on the root of the Memory Stick and your Albums into the covers directory in the Coverflow folder.
If there is no image for a Mp3 the application will create one.
It works the best on the Slim PSP. On Phat PSP the images "jump" when the application sets the CPU Speed. I don't know how to fix that and why this bug isn't present on the Slim.
Controls:
Cross: Play Mp3
Triangle: Stop Mp3

News/release from judas
BoxManPSP is a clone of BoxMan 2.4 for Palm OS, originally coded by CRMobilIT. The original 172 levels are included. As of this release, two more level packs are ready to download for an expansion of over 11,000 levels.
The object of the game is to push all the brown (moveable) blocks, onto the blue diamonds. When there are no moveable blocks left, you complete the level. Simple in theory, but challenging.

Newly released today:
echochrome: Mugen Kairou is not just any 3D puzzle game, this is a truly unique and innovative brain teaser where your point of view defines logic and not the other way round. What seems like an improbable path is made possible to cross when you rotate it to the right degree. A cliff or a hole is bridged when you tilt the maze to the point where the overhead pathway covers it. Falling into a hole does not necessarily lead you to a bottomless drop when you turn the maze the right around. What seems like a drop from one angle is in fact a portal to another pathway when seen from another angle. In general, the laws that govern this world is what you see and not what you know.
Take a look at things from the other side and do not let common logic hinder you. For being deceived by your eyes is the sole way to salvation in this game. After trying out all the challenges provided by the game, use your imagination and create your own mazes.
Sony Computer Entertainment's echochrome: Mugen Kairou for Sony PSP™ is in stock today, shipping as region free Japanese version for 39.90 only.
Aside from the Japanese version, a region free Asian version of echochrome: Mugen Kairou has also been released and is available for US$ 42.90 only.

Many games use the current gen consoles to make pretty pictures, but Fracture is "one of the few games" that really pushes the hardware on a gameplay front, LucasArts has told CVG.
Fracture features an innovative Terrain Deformation system that allows players to use various unique weapons and tools to bend, warp and deform the ground below their feet. This, says LucasArts, was a challenge to get working, and pushes the high-performance consoles to their limits.
"We are really pushing the limits of what the Xbox 360 and PS3 can do with Fracture," the developer told us.
"While a lot of games are pushing the limits of what can be done visually in games, we also wanted to push gameplay to levels that literally could not be done on the previous generation of hardware," it added.
"To put it simply, Fracture is one of the few games that really takes advantage of all of the processing power of the new consoles."
Bold words, but how will the final game measure up? Check out a preview here, and look out for the full Q&A later today.

Ubisoft has told CVG that the official stance on Haze remains that it's exclusive to PS3 "for now", in response to recent reports that the FPS will never come to 360.
Stories on the 'net today report that unnamed Ubisoft spokespersons attending the Play.com Live event in Wembley Stadium, London, over the weekend confirmed that the nectar-fuelled shooter will only ever appear on PS3.
But Ubisoft has told us that the game is "exclusive on PS3 for now". The "for now" part is what leads to 'timed exclusive' speculation.
It was originally expected for PS3, 360 and PC, but later shifted to lead on PS3, with other formats thought to follow. Ubisoft has never outright confirmed that it will be a permanent PS3 exclusive.
Maybe it's waiting to see how well it does on Sony's console first.

Ninja Theory has said its next title is original IP and definitely not a sequel to the Sony-owned Heavenly Sword.
The UK developer made it crystal clear to GamesIndustry.biz, explaining that it had already signed a publisher for its fresh Xbox 360 and PS3 project.
However, one one similarity it will have its continued focus on film production techniques. Co-founder Nina Kristensen even revealed Ninja Theory is considering creating a CGI film to accompany the new game.
"We're certainly targeting a triple-A blockbuster, with two and a half years in production - a big game that builds on our core strengths of story-telling, cinematics and combat. But we're actually looking at something in addition to that - we're considering opportunities in creating a CGI movie using the game engine alongside the game itself," Kristensen told GamesIndustry.biz.
"The game's certainly the most important thing, and we haven't decided for sure to do this, but it's something we're looking at. It's an interesting idea."
Nina Theory worked closely with Hollywood rubber-face Andy Serkis on Heavenly Sword, who oversaw motion capture and directed the cinematics.
Mission Impossible 3 and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon audio specialist Play It By Ear provided the foley sound work.
"If you want to make something that's really high-end, really engaging, if you get the best talent from the movie industry and you're able to integrate effectively into the game you're going to end up with the best possible results," continued Kristensen.
"There's a lot of these relationships that we intend to maintain going forward into our new game."
Heavenly Sword was released last September and picked up considerable applause for its cinematic cut-scenes and dramatic direction.

News/release from daaa57150:
Mega Drops is a puzzle game combining many cool things from the puzzle games you know. The gameplay is very close to the wonderful "Puyo Puyo": a pair of blocks fall from the top, and you have to put it on the blocks stacking on the bottom so that the shapes match. You can rotate, move, and make the pair fall faster. Collide 4 blocks of the same shape and they explode. But unlike Puyo Puyo, Mega Drops is a solo game: your goal is to resist until the end of the level, by eliminating the lines coming from the bottom.
Mega Drops adds a lot more to that gameplay: some unique features and others inspired by "Tetris Attack" and "Magical Drop 3" for a great combo system and nice gameplay. Add to this some "Lumines" and "DJ Max portable" style (in 4 colors!), good electro music and you have it: Mega Drops.
The game contains 2 very different levels (in gameplay & style) each available in 3 difficulty modes.
The game also features a nice tutorial to get you started.

/ / Small detail for the buffer, we must do a malloc and ex memset:
Code:
SData save;
Int len = strlen (score = 25 ") +1; / / Calculating the size of the text
Save.bufSize len = 4 * / / Gives the size sData
Save.buf = malloc (sizeof (char) * len); Setting memory buffer (text)
Memset (save.buf, 0, len); / / Fill in the memory area of 0
Strcpy (save.buf, "score = 25 ");// Written text in the buffer
If you are load mode:
- Responsible values will be returned in the structure sData!
It must have previously made an on sData.buffer malloc (and therefore give the value bufSize)!
To use include:
Sdkutilities.h
And add it to the line of LIBS makefile:
- LSdkUtilities
